A magical life in a magical school that nudges you to marry young, but hey, at least this one is LGBTQIA+ friendly! (It's a NieR Reincarnation Reference)
Happy Birthday, Drakengard 3! My favorite game about love and friendship!
Cheers on 8 years of not getting referenced in any related media apart from absurdly obscure references! But to be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way <3
Why do I keep making my drawings bigger... but, hey this time I even rendered it a little bit... (at least I can improve on one thing in particular until their 10th anniversary, I guess...)
Anyways, let me explain the references, if you want to search for them on your own all of the disciples and angels are referenced in the picture, but you probably can't even read half of them because no matter how big I make my files I always end up pixel art-ing the details... (I don't know what I'm doing wrong and at this point I'm too afraid to ask) At first the concept was drawing them as the original DoD3(/4) premise where the game was called DoD4 and they were school girls with dragon phones that had to figure out what happened with DoD3 (Still mad we're never going to get that... That's such a good idea...) But then I thought what if NieR Reincarnation magic school so I did that instead! (Btw, fuck JKR, we have our own now and it has a lesbian)
I imagined they weren't actually sisters in this AU (at least not all of them, Zero, One and Brother One are siblings) and ended up as a weird friend group... But I will explain my thoughts along the way
Let's start with my favorite, Three Drakengard 3
Tumblr media
I didn't want to draw her as sleeping again, because "Three is the sleepy one" is tired (please laugh) and her being passionate about her creations is what made me fall in love with her, so instead I made her excitedly present a weirdly specific bug book to Four, because for some reason this Four is always sitting around invested in an encyclopedia about bugs...
The books are references to the not-dragon angels, while the dragon angels are their pencil cases. (Three's is Dick Dragon Ezrael) I thought Octa would be a Professor at the school that looks out for Three because she doesn't have friends (The note on her notebook reads "You forgot this in my office -Octa")
Since most of the book covers are tilted/partially covered here they are in normal
Tumblr media
(Abdiel is One's Golem, Galgaliel is Five's undead minions and Armisael are Three's doll babies)
Anyways on to my favorite intoner, Four Drakengard 3 (slight NSFW warning lol)
Tumblr media
I thought it would be funny and in-character if Four took a random book to hide her phone (it's funny because it's medieval but she has a phone) to look at... pictures (because she's secretly just as perverted as five), but then somebody (three) approached her because she wants to talk about their shared interest and Four has to go with it or somebody would find out she's looking at... pictures (I later changed where she was looking for a reason I will explain later)
Symmachia is a random kind of butterfly (I noticed that if I called it "Armaros Butterfly" it wouldn't fit the placement of the page in the book...)
On her phone is a picture of Decadus (@ DecaDentalwork) sucking Dito (@ DeezToes)'s Toes. Because I thought it would be funny. (I know, I'm hilarious.) (I colored them their intoner's colors so you could tell better (didn't work) but maybe this Decadus is an Orc, who knows)
On to my favorite intoner, Five
Tumblr media
(She's supposed to be sucking(?) on the joint of her finger, not her fingertip, but angles are hard)
Problematic Bisexual Five is drawing... loving depictions of One and Zero in Four's notebook. (It resembles the art from Saryu's Story in Reincarnation)
According to the DLC notes she's also secretly deep and philosophical so I gave her intelectual books like Crime & Punishment and Brave New World (I won't explain this part of the reference, but I'm also the only one who will get it) (One day I will be daring enough to explain it... but that time won't be now)
She doesn't have a dragon, but she has Phanuel who's holding the legendary meat of legend. I also gave Four's Zophiel a slight color redesign to make Zophi distinct from Gabriella.
On to Two
Tumblr media
I have been informed that I also have to refer to Two as my favorite now... but I can't tell you why yet (If you know you know) (Which is also the reason why I won't explain half of these references)
Her pencil case is Raphael (but cute), she doodled an Egregori and she loooooves Cent. They don't have a good ship name (she's furious and is thinking about changing her name just because of this)
Anyways, on to my favorite intoners, One and Zero and everyone's good boy Mikhail is there as well!
Tumblr media
There was no reason to keep Zero's flower, but I thought it would be cool to reference it by giving her an artificial eye. (She's trying to pretend that the one that functions and the other one are switched, but One is too smart and remembers) (okay, the real reason is that I wanted there to be a chain of people looking at each other so no matter at who you start you are then lead to another person next (two is pointing instead)) (and then I thought "But if Zero has a flower eye/eye patch you can't see where she's looking" so how about an artificial eye) (but how would you even know that it's artificial without making it look weird) (and then I thought it would be funny if Zero did something to upset One while looking really innocent in the picture) (and that's how we ended up here)
Her notes convo with One: One: Zero, I know this is your working eye, stop copying my homework Zero: Fuck, it worked with Four - But I heard you're marrying our brother? One: of course not, who told you that Zero: F- (The marrying thing is a reference to Saryu's story in Reincarnation (which is the Magic School Story) (Also the brother is Brother One))
The Angelic Script should be decipherable (they write with it in Saryu's Story so I thought their homework should be written with it too) but I won't make you do it:
One: This is how I conclude that the masked bean man known as Yoko Taro cannot be trusted
Zero: lol One you think way too much about this shit dont you know that he said once that he just liked girls
Anyways, moving on to...
Tumblr media
Our favorite canonically trans dragon Gabriella <3 Her design is based on One's DLC story book!
In the book behind her are a mysterious individual and Accord is there as well.
Anyway that should be all... This took me way too long... But for my favorite game of all time, that's fine... I hope you like it!
also fuck hands

Little bit of a late mod intro but I’m here :D
My name is Boo! Well, one of my names. It’s the one I’ve most recently started going by, so I’ll use it as my mod tag. I’m also known as Bee by a lot of people C:
I go by he/him pronouns & two sets of neopronouns, beeself & blueself.
Colouring is not my expertise and I don’t think it ever will be! But that’s okay because my art style is adorable in my view even with the crappy attempts i do at colouring sometimes! My art blog is @ender-arts but I don’t post all that much and I mostly just take photos of my traditional art and talk about my awful lighting. Or I post some pixel art. Eventually I’ll fix up my art blog… sigh
you can expect from me:
There will probably be a lot of capes bc I like drawing capes. I change my character designs frequently, as I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do, but I know I’m getting there. Osmp!Ranboo is my best friend. Don’t really draw the ccs. I like making AUs but I don’t always go through with them so I’ll probably instead make random little doodles of AUs I made related to Ranboo and post them here! Do not expect any of them to ever update or you might get disappointed.
boundaries:
Basic boundaries. Also, I am a minor! Should be self explainable on what you shouldn’t do directed at me because of that.
You guys can ask me for doodles and all but no promises I’ll remember to do them, my memory sucks. (somewhat ironic)
other?:
If you guys think it could be read as a different tone than you mean it to be as, please put a tone tag. Would be helpful for you to label tones as /srs (I like how sus is a recommendation to correct that to even though that’s not in my dictionary), /j, /r, /p & /hj. I don’t exactly need them, but they do help!
A lot of my doodles start off traditional since school is boring and drawing Ranboo makes it less boring :D
I started going by Boo literally two days before Ghostboo became a thing so funnily enough, I actually did not steal my name from ghosty boi.
osmp ranboo is my bestie we wear matching crowns everywhere c:

u have any tips for making art fun again? i used to love making art but these past years ive lost my way and dont know what to do anymore because i do still love it i just hate my art specifically and cant stand to make it without eviscerating it not even a minute into sketching :(
ok so I had a lot of phases like this I very often do even now and I got a few tips
practice drawing faces by using celebrities faces, hell put it on 30% opacity and draw Over it.. but you have to get a feel for it. do the same for just pics of hands.
its bothersome its boring but! its worth it. ull feel better just not doing ur own style
CHANGE BRUSHES. alot of times ur artstyles effect is impacted by ur brush. what program are u using? if its sai you should use mine they can give u a nice softer feel
just do circle doodles (an example of mine is the B O N K jake one I did) it gives u space and doesnt rly have to do with ur mainstyle. ull find fun in doing a completely different thing
dont think about having to be productive and feeling like every canvas has to be posted! I have content creator pressure and I often feel like I cant just do RANDOM stuff like I have to be presentable etc. its important for u to know that u can just have fun trying to draw a circle
dont just listen to music while drawing. music actually influences ur art !! and it can often increase frustration or increase excitement on the piece. watch drama videos bro I watch fhem 99% of the tjme when I do watch youtube videos. I recommend TRO (the right opinion), j aubrey, iNabber, james marriott, def noodles, kappa kaiju, atozy, lazy purple (tf2 gaming related), alizee, and some more but like there are plenty of youtubers I watch mostly drama commentary but also documentation of other things
right click double on it and theres like a pic-in-pic one and u have a small window of the youtube window that u can drag around and have on screen while having ur art program up!
either u do that or u have a playlist on with 100+ songs of (and thats important) VERY different styles so u can also see the effects of music on art that Im talking about
do pixel art! it calms and puts difference on ur artstyle and pixelling can be less frustrating than art. whay kind of pixel art? now thats where u can experiment
often people hate how they color, force change on it! put an orange overlay or color the lineart before fusing (for example Im very.. something. I rage when I have to blend the color black it makes me upset and anxious and I stop the artpiece.)
if u feel like ur art is too out of ur hand, try to start at the roots, try out other ones styles to see what u feel happy with or not- if u see other ones art elements that u like, try it out!
most important last: give urself the chance to improve. I know it sucks when art doesnt immediately look good- but your art can only improve when u confront its flaws and work on it, and give urself the space to do so
I hope it all goes well for you, legend!

Oooookay so 3, 10, 11, 12, 17, 32, 38, 39, 42 and that should be enough lol
Oh man XD Thanks so much, Chloe! I think I quite agree, it’s enough :P
I answered 3, 17, and 32 here! And 39 here!
10. Which was your favorite trial from THH?
I think that the 5/6th trial is an obvious one!It was something built up throughout the game (and it gets a bit ridiculoushow many times we hear about “MukuroIkusaba, the 16th student, hidden somewhere in this school. The one theycall the "ultimate despair."” It put’s Naegi’s and Kirigiri’slives on the line, with Naegi ultimately getting chopped off because he got soclose to the truth that the trial was a farce. And then saved, because of luck?He did a good deed and Alter Ego saved him for it? I guess Kirigiri’s optionwas more of a dream ending than anything canon, anyways, so it doesn’t matter.I remember how hyped I was, because for once no one was actually technicallyblackened… no one actually killed anyone since Sakura’s dying wish moved themthat much. I’m still not really fond of some things, like Hagakure thinkingKirigiri was a ghost in the 5th trial? And I have a few otherthings, like how they all decide Naegi was guilty in the first place. Kirigiriwas pushing them to that conclusion so she could show the trial was a farce inthe first place, and she wasn’t expecting the mastermind to cut the trial shortand lie about who killed Mukuro. I still kind of feel pretty bad about thatpart in particular, although she’s clearly super angry it turned out that way,she really didn’t want Naegi to be voted the blackened. The 6thtrial, though, I really liked the reveal of Junko, not even being the “Junko”they met, and how her face was covered in every picture… As a person whostarted off with the anime, I didn’t exactly have time to catch that particulardetail (I should rewatch it sometime honestly, see how much info was reallyleft out). The world being in an apocalypse… a little bit less exciting I guessthan the Junko reveal. And Naegi being proclaimed the Ultimate Hope was cheesy, but kind of expected and in that moment, it was empowering!
(Although it was hard not to say Sakura’s trial for thisquestion, simply because gosh I LOVE Sakura)
11. Which was your favorite trial from SDR2?
I flipflop between trials five and six, honestly XD I’llchoose the 5th Trial though for now! Trial 5 had my top threecharacters playing really important roles, and it made me appreciate Komaedaand Nanami. I was touched Nanami wasn’t really fighting the fact she wasblackened and there was a mystery to her and Komaeda that is unresolved, andeverything about the trial was a rollercoaster of emotions XD This is great forHinata’s character, as well, as he actually is able to understand Komaeda’splan. The trial breaks my heart in how cruel it was to all of the characters,Komaeda dying horrifically through a plan he made himself, and Nanami, a personso against the killing game, ended up killing someone unknowingly… and Hinatahad been so close to Nanami, and probably the closest person to Komaeda on theisland, that it’s hard not to feel bad for him, too, for his losses. Not to saythe others who died were less, just that they weren’t as close to him. And thenof ourse, the actual plan was chaoticgenius. That was a really wild ride of a trial!
12. Which was your favorite trial from V3?
The only one that really held my interest in a more positiveway was probably the fourth one! Because the rules of the virtual world meantthe creators didn’t have to defy actual laws of physics and, well, commonsense, it actually makes sense.Mostly. The one thing that I guess doesn’t is where Kokichi got the flashbacklight? Anything to do with Kokichi leads to plotholes in the story, I swear… Thatand Miu’s partnership with him is ??? Still, I found it to be an emotionaltrial because… it was really not Gonta’s fault even when it was… I really likedhim, he was really sweet.
But yeah, this trial is the only one that I’d say was a goodmurder case in V3, with the others kind of just working through chance? Pureluck? Idk, they were just so weird…
38. Which character doyou feel is too popular amongst the fans, in your opinion?
Ouma… and look, I really don’t hate him at all, but thereasons people say they like him don’tmatch up. “He’s a complex character!” No, he really isn’t… the creators of thegame explained next to nothing about him and his past. Any bit of complexity isprojected thoughts on his character. My prime example is when someone who knowsJapanese had said that Spike Chunsoft had gave a hint that Ouma hatesmurder/killing, which the translators of the game “removed,” when it waseventually proven by native Japanese speakers that there was no suchcomplicated connotation. So everyone to this day keeps spreading this rumoraround that Ouma hates murder/killing as if it was an integral part of his character.
And my honest thoughts on why people like Ouma is… becausehe likes guys and is dismissed by his classmates. He has a crush on Saihara, clearly, and might have had crushes on Rantarou and Momota. His continueddismissal by Saihara and the others serve as the base for people to project their story on Ouma, with them addingmeaning to him to make him out to be a more complex character. They willed him to be important. They ignoredthe plotholes he creates by having knowledge of things we don’t know why heknows, or having a flashback light from a room a keycard opened, which we nevergo to see where that was, or writing a complete script for Momota for the trialin the three hours he had left to live… This isn’t a complex character- this isthe creators of the game making a decision not to explain important details becausethey can get away with it, as he is a liar. The problem with a liar is that younever really know him at all. You canonly guess.
What I dislike about Ouma is the fact that people arepolicing that he is a complex character based on, well, not that much. He doesn’tgive that much, so they make up things to make him seem more complex than heis. The reasons to like him should be his personality, how silly he is, thefact that he’s a great actor… and it can be that you think you can relate tohim. But just in general, I just don’t like the hype around Ouma and peopleputting their noses up at others who have differentinterpretations of Ouma.
42.  How do you feel about the Danganronpafandom as a whole?
The Danganronpa fandom as a whole… it’s done me a lot ofgood, even with all the bad it’s done, too. Through this fandom, I came out ofmy shell. I’ve never been confident enough to write for a fandom and post it. Ihad, once, when I was in middle school, but with a fandom as large as Naruto, the work got drowned out and it wasn’t all that good, honestly, so I nevertried again XD I absolutely would never have created fanart for the fandom, either XD It was rough in the beginning, but I found my artstyle!
But most importantly of all, I’ve met some really incrediblepeople! It’s because of these friendships I’ve made that I got the courage todo more. I could write, I could draw, I could create pixel art, I couldanimate, I could run events and participate in them, I could become a part of azine, and I could mod a zine… All ofthese things I never would have had the courage to do alone. And even outsideof fandom, they would support me, validate my frustrations, congratulate me onmy victories, listen to me, laugh with me…
I met some important people who I’ll never forget. I havefriends who I hope will stick around for long past the fandom. And well, I foundsomeone I actually really love through this fandom as well ^^ (he runs eventswith me on the Hinaegi blog
I’ll admit, my active participationin the fandom is pretty weak these days with me getting sucked into playingPokemon in my free time instead… but Danganronpa’s left its mark. Even with allthe bad of fandom “discourse,” fandom drama, and some really rude people onsome rare occasions, it was worth it to have found the confidence and supportthat I did!
The fandom is far from dead, rude people may still exist, but at least at the moment, I’m pretty comfortable where I am in it with the otherpeople that have made my stay a welcome one!

Sonic 25th Anniversary Artbook by Cook & Becker
I think I should've wrote this maybe sooner but... the Sonic artbook by Cook & Becker simply sucks compared to stuff like the Japanese Splatoon artbook or the Mega Man Complete Works. And I love Sonic more than both of these franchises. So let me list the things about this book that really, really bothered me.
The size
I hate this size. It’s 32 H x 28 W cm. Who'd want to use this? It's heavy too; 2.2kg/4lb. Most shelves aren't even this tall. It can't fit in! I have it constantly laying there on my table, collecting dust. Why couldn't be the size of a book like the Japanese Splatoon one or the Mega Man Complete Works artbook. Coffeetable size is horrible.
Reference images
That's something a bit odd but I really would've loved to see. There's some reference art for the classic renditions of the characters... but the Adventure-style has no reference images (the reference image it does have is a Sonic X one). And I really hate that because there are some reference sketches floating online but all the Japanese notes are untranslated and it would've really helped me at figuring out how the heck I can draw these renditions.
Too much text, it's not a documentary, idiots.
Cook & Becker, hear me out. No one gives a crap about the history of a video game franchise in an artbook. Unless you got together the artists of these images and interviewed them to get some kind of information about the art, cut the text out. You're wasting ink and the writer's time here. People who bought an art book about the video game franchise they love, don't need to hear about what a particular title is about. Or what a fucking ring is. We already know that if we're such nerds to buy a damn artbook about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Take some notes from the Mega Man Complete Works artbook. That one does have some text but it’s actually kinda needed sometimes. It explains the game in a couple of short sentences and then quickly goes onto what the artists have to say about some of the art they made.
Tumblr media
The layout
I hate this layout. Sometimes, they made the art often span across 2 pages which might sound cool for one second until you realize that you can't see the flipping middle of the art! Yeah! Great! Who cares about looking at the art without troubles? Making the user have a hardtime seeing the art is way better than looking at it without problems on one page! And sometimes they just decide to overlay one image on top of another so all that time finding the rare art was for nothing because some moron thought that this layout was a great idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes they go with a chronological character art layout, then they'll switch to art from games. Have some consistency here! Oh, what am I talking about? This is something Sonic related from 2016, it won't have consistency. Even if it's an artbook!
Wrong facts
Sonic 3D Japanese art dates
Tumblr media
Hey, guys, you goofed up. Knuckles' page lists dates and the Japanese Sonic 3D art says "1996". Yet the Tails one says "1997". And both are wrong. Sonic 3D released 1999 in Japan. That's why they have their Adventure artstyle here. You could've looked this up in 20 seconds by googling "Sonic 3d release dates".
Sonic X being on the same page as Adventure Sonic
They accidently put Sonic X-Sonic on the same page as Adventure Sonic art.
Tumblr media
Stuff missing (X-Treme? Saturn?)
The book mentions the cancelled game title "Sonic X-Treme", yet it never shows art from it. I don't get why, it's not like there's no concept art from other cancelled games in there, like Crackers. And why isn't there much Saturn era stuff? I know that Sonic didn't have many games during that but there's a lot of stuff missing. Like the Sonic Jam pre-rendered models or the wallpaper art. Heck, throw in some Sonic the Screensaver concept art too. It's like they gave up at archiving the art one third-way through.
Other missing stuff
Chao concept art
Tumblr media
During the unveiling of Sonic Adventure, there was concept art of the Chao shown. Why is the only thing on there 3 very common Chao artworks?
Tumblr media
Sonic Adventure art in general Yo, Sonic Retro has a ton of Adventure art archived. Why don't you guys put that in the book? Or that weird looking Sonic art from the front of Sonic.
Tumblr media
Sure, it looks kinda bad but it's very rare. Something that you guys said was that you were looking for a lot of rare images to archive in that book. I only see a couple of them here. Most of the time, it's either stuff I've seen 100 times before or something rather recently discovered.
Environmental concept art I would've loved to see more concept art for Sonic's levels. Things that happen in the level, what the level looked like, level design sketches... That should've been in the book.
Rare art I'll just put a ton of low quality images on there that are pretty much either lost, uncommon or rare which you guys could've put in the book. For shame, for shame! https://imgur.com/a/IDc3r
"What the actual shit"-part
This is the part where I can just go "What were they thinking?!". I can't find a reason why they did this and it makes no sense why they did it.
Pages that fold out which are just screenshots of the fucking games
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do I have to point that out why this is such a bad idea to begin with? If I want to look at the game, I'll play the actual game. And why do these pages fold out? None of the other pages do this, heck, the art that spans across pages would've needed that instead of these images.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways...
Transparent pages that don't line up with the art on the other page
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just look. This is a transparent page... where you can look through it to view another page... And it doesn't line up or has anything identical in the slightest. So... why make it transparent?
Sonic 2's Japanese box art
Tumblr media
You photoshopped American Sonic and Tails on top of the Japanese Sonic 2 boxart. That's disgusting, you know that?
Pages that show sprites Look. Pixel art is still art. I get that, it takes time to put something complicated in a restricting format. But... you can look up sprite sheets online and you'd get the same expierence as looking at this book. I bought this book to look at rare or even unpublished art of Sonic. Some may have bought it to see high quality images of Sonic's art. I doubt that anyone bought this to look at pixel art because you can look at that online for free. Wasting pages with something that you can look up online for free in 20 seconds is not a good thing in your artbook to have.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even Mega Man Complete Works artbook has 0 pixel art. The franchise known for being in the 8-bit pixel form for 8 out of 11 games.
A page about the ring
Tumblr media
This page is pure filler. How did they get away with this? Someone at SEGA and at Cook & Becker had to look at this and think "This is great. Ship it.". I now should either have no faith in SEGA in Quality Assurance checking now or won't trust Cook & Becker as a company ever. Maybe both.
With that said, I wouldn’t ever recommend this book to anyone. This artbook is the Sonic Forces of artbooks. I bet if a lot of fans would come together and find and scan all the Sonic art they could find, they’d make a much better artbook than this atrocity. So get the Kirby artbook instead, I guess? Ugh...

$$holla hollas gimme dollas$$
so, since this is already the commissions info post I’ve got up and don’t wanna have to change the links where I’ve put it on my art and pages, I’ll just change up the info on this post. hope no one minds.
Tumblr media
I’m opening up commissions on here. coolio.
I’m still working with a mouse as of late. be aware that with commissions, especially if I get numerous orders at once, I’m prob not gonna be the fastest.
(more info under the cut bc I’m really sick of scrolling for ages to get to the end of my own post)
info listed:
my pricing
payment info
communications
what I can/can’t draw
‘I’m not interested in buying, but other people might’
my pricing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(my art tag has examples of more varied stuff I can do. [#my art])
depending on size, detail, style, and difficulty, prices may differ.
I’m always cool discussing these kinda things upfront, as suddenly mentioning the price you thought you’d be paying is actually too low after I’ve already finished the thing would prob be super inconvenient.
payment info
Tumblr media
(insert ‘you punched the bursar’ joke here)
I am using my dad’s paypal for any and all transactions, as I kinda suck at keeping track of money anyway. shit goes through sun dad.
I’ll probably go with the common ‘you pay half price up front, you get a sample of the finished deal, you pay the rest, and I give you the full res finished piece after’ method. Full price up front works even better, but first time buyers may prefer this. If neither method work for you, we can probably work somethin out.
Be aware that I won’t start the commission until I’ve been paid to some degree.
how the heck do I get ahold of you anyway?
I’m always available via asks and dms, and dad’s email should be open for money related questions.
I keep hearing about this ‘invoice’ thing, but since it seems available only through paypal, I’m pretty sure that falls under sun dad’s jurisdiction. it’s not currently something I can handle doin myself.
Note though: dad’s email and any communications that go through him are a lot more formal than talking to me directly. as he’s an old fuddy duddy, he’s probably not gonna get that you’re serious if you make 5 mario kart jokes in a single sentence. feel 100% free to hit me up with exactly 100 mario kart jokes in a single sentence while ordering a commission, but like, maybe don’t do it w/ my dad. he’s like 60. don’t. however, most communications won’t concern him at all unless there’s an issue with the payment.
what can you draw?
can
fanart
furries
chibis
robots (like MTT complexity)
shipping art
ocs
icons
small gifs
pixels
suggestive scenes
basic landscapes
basic a lot of things tbh
gore/guro
specific color palettes
portraits/actual people
fandoms I’m not in
fandoms I don’t really like
traditional art
pls I just need the money ask away
(most pricing for these aren’t solidified so be sure to specify what you want and how you want it done when placing an order)
can’t (or rather won’t w/o extra pay)
mechas (like Transformers complexity)
explicitly nsfw scenes
overly complex scenery/backgrounds
also maybe don’t ask for somethin that’s gonna elicit questioning if found by the government please thanks
I’m not really interested, but your prices are pretty okay and someone else might wanna buy from you.
that’s cool; a reblog and generally just sharing this around really helps!! thanks for readin this far anyway!! have a wonderful day man

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom Review
A friend and fellow gaming writer once told me the worst part of this job is when you have to review something the community absolutely loves, but you just cannot seem to like it. The Steam store page is plastered with blue thumbs pointing up, Metacritic boasts a whopping 86%, but, somehow, you just cannot relate to the masses. Well folks, with Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, that day has arrived on my PC.
Let me be clear that I do not think Monster Boy is completely bad. This game still shows that rare gem of innovation you only get from the AA and indie scene, and it can be really fun to play. It is obvious that the developers, FDG Entertainment, are deeply in touch with the strengths of their source material.
Meet the protagonist, Jin, except he barely stays in this form throughout the entire game.
In truth, my objection to Monster Boy’s overwhelmingly positive reception lies in how this game clearly runs into some infuriating moments of inconsistency. The delicate balance this game holds between its unique blend of Metroidvania and platformer components too often gives way to seriously frustrating moments. I feel like I spent a little too much of my play time gnashing my teeth.
More than a Tenacious D Song
Monster Boy has quite the legacy behind it, and you can trace its primary influence all the way back to SEGA’s Wonder Boy that came out during the mid-80’s. Since then, Wonder Boy has passed between the hands of several different developers, and every subsequent studio that worked with the IP contributed at least one new gameplay mechanic that stuck.
Now the torch has been handed to a German-based studio who have added their own bits to this Frankenstein monster of an IP, and FDG Entertainment has done a great job at using Monster Boy’s mixed heritage to make the gameplay relevant again. What we have here is a game that is neither pure Metroidvania nor thoroughbred platformer, but instead draws from the strengths of both.
Monster Boy’s story is so simple that the title is practically a spoiler. Once upon time in a mystical kingdom, someone called Uncle Nabu unexpectedly goes nuttier than squirrel poop, and starts flying around on a broomstick like a witch.  In a moment of naughty sorcery, he ends up spreading a strange curse across an entire kingdom which turns all the inhabitants into humanoid animals.
You can actually talk to some NPC’s during gameplay, and I must say they seem rather laid-back about being turned into bipedal rats, sheep and owls. Perhaps they don’t mind having fleas, or licking their own butts? Thankfully, a boy named Jin chooses not to spend the rest of this life as a piggy, and swears to put an end to his uncle’s antics.
While being a swashbuckling swine (complete with eye patch) has its perks – such as lightning attacks, stun attacks, fire balls and the ability to sniff out treasures and so on – our hero soon discovers that he has bitten off more than your average hog can chew. To reverse his uncle’s curse, Jin must unite five magical orbs hidden in jungles, caves, and even at the bottom of the ocean. Oh, and each orb is protected by a giant monster (i.e. boss fight).
Once Jin gets his porky hooves on the first orb, however, he inherits its power, which gives him the choice between more than one animal shape! Being a frog suddenly makes reaching the underwater orb a real possibility, and being a slippery snake means small crawlspaces are no challenge at all (and, for some reason, crystals light up dark spaces when you spew poison on them).
Paws and claws
My reason for saying that Monster Boy feels like a blend of genres is because it plays out like a Metroidvania game in its progression style, yet the snappy movement and combat mechanics lean more towards a platformer experience. It is particularly in the latter where FDG Entertainment’s experience in developing physics-based, mobile games really shows.
This game is full of great little ideas for platforming. You use the ice sword to create a makeshift platform.
With regards to the Metroidvania elements, Monster Boy brings back what was established in 1992’s Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap. This game introduced a sprawling map to the series that gradually opens up to the player as they gain the ability to transform into different animals.
The world map, which bears a striking resemblance to the maps from Super Metroid.
Whereas games such as Dead Cells or Hollow Knight imbue the player with weapons or abilities to assist with progression through the map, Monster Boy takes this process further by asking the player to transition to an entirely different character. The player will ultimately be able to change into a total of five different animals after they have collected all of the orbs.
I already mentioned the little pig who is a long range projectile specialist as his special attack, and also a treasure sniffer. He can hit enemies from a distance during combat or trigger switches in puzzles, plus he makes the most adorable little fart every time he eats an upgrade!
Piggy doing his thing. You can switch between several different ammo types. Boomerangs must be caught if you hope to keep them.
The pig sinks like a stone underwater though, which is where the frog comes in. He is super agile below the surface, and he can use his extendable tongue to hang or pull things which become a central traversal tool later in the game. Then there is the muscular lion that represents the tank of the bunch. He can dash upwards which is particularly helpful if your jump needs a bit of extra height, or to bash through brittle walls when going sideways.
The snake specialises in sliding up and down non-horizontal surfaces which is pretty neat, but his venom-spitting attack became somewhat redundant for me towards the end of the game. The dragon… well he flies and belches out fire pretty much par for the course. It is with the dragon where Monster Boy took the oppertunity to introduce a few brutally difficult shoot-‘em-up sections against enemies in the sky.
The snake… which, for some reason, is really sticky. Then again, I have never seen a pig throw fire balls either.
Monster Boy combines all these abilities into a single, cohesive experience that results in some excellent platforming gameplay. The player can switch between characters on the fly to combine their abilities for solving puzzles, defeating bosses, or to reach secret areas. Now factor in that you can augment many of their abilities with armour or weapons, and you have gameplay with some serious potential.
Why has this water dash ability not featured in more games!? It’s awesome!
A Thing of Beauty
What will really bowl over newcomers and seasoned fans alike are, of course, the visuals. This game is so vibrant, so colourful, so vivid, that you will probably see imprints of the screen left behind on your corneas after closing your eyes.
I mentioned earlier how the gameplay is a fusion, which could also be said for the visuals. You can tell that the art style has an unmistakable Eastern foundation in character design and certain animations. Yet, there is obviously also a Western influence involved with the visual aesthetics, and they work together here in a truly slick and beautiful manner.
This game could probably fix stuck pixels in any monitor.
Monster Boy’s lively visuals have been complimented by an equally jolly soundtrack that combines upbeat, almost arcade-like tunes with the classic little sound effects from 80’s platformers when you pick up coins, run over a checkpoint, find an upgrade, etc. This game is the very auditory and visual embodiment of happiness, which, on a personal level, was a welcome contrast to the dark and sombre JRPG’s I always seem to be stuck in.
A Thing of Anger
After reading all that, you will be excused for forgetting that I actually ended up disliking Monster Boy. So let me try to elaborate on where this game lost me, and thus explain my surprise for why so many reviews actually omitted these issues upon the game’s launch on the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
The overarching problem I had with this game can only be described as Monster Boy’s tendency to repeatedly throw inconsistent difficulty spikes at the player. If you add up all the time I struggled my arse off just to get past one enemy or a particularly tricky jump, it would almost rival all the rest of the gameplay. To put it another way, Monster Boy likes to pull ‘dick moves’.
One of the many infuriating sections the game makes you fumble around in the dark. This sucks.
First off, the checkpoints are rather terrible. This means that, if you die, you will have to play entire sections over and over and over and over just to make it to the part you are actually struggling with. The repetitive nature of these moments already started sucking a lot of fun out of the experience.
On top of this, the game features some moments of awful enemy placement. For example, during one awesome level I found myself in a sloping and tilting shipwreck, which means I had to compensate for things rolling around. This was fun until I reached a simple section where there were some bats hanging from the ceiling that swoop down onto the player with their attacks.
What should have been one brief moment in a series of challenges took me nearly twenty minutes to clear because you have to jump upwards towards the bats to get past them. Unfortunately, the character is completely vulnerable during the jump animation, and it doesn’t help that the shield in the game only seems to work when it feels like it.
Two hits from the bats and you are dead, and there are four of them to get past. Did I mention you will also be placed right at THE BEGINNING of the sequence if you die? It is impossible to regard this as an engaging challenge when such moments just smack so clearly of poor level design. This was by no means an isolated incident, and I can make a long list if you like.
Doing ‘shrooms! This is the second boss.
The boss fights, on the other hand, are awesome as you will use the different animals and each one’s unique ability to conquer the huge behemoths. However, I again found myself screaming “dude, what the hell!?” after I realised this game utterly refuses to replenish your health (even after a boss fight).
Matter of fact, you will always restart with the amount of health you had when passing through the last checkpoint. This may sound like a minor gripe, especially considering that the player is given a teleport staff to reach portals near health refill shops.
Yet this is a hard sell for every single time I find my character low on health and in a sticky situation. A well-placed platforming segment or enemy encounter can still be fun even if it is extremely challenging. However, you want to play in the game, and not against the game when you start off these moments already handicapped with half your health.
Note my health in the top left corner. That is what the game gave me upon re-spawning, and to think I first approached this boss with full health.
Last issue worth mentioning is that some puzzles – particularly those that enable the player to progress – were not that great. I felt like the solution came to me through trial and error or just blind luck rather than requiring me to rack my brains. I particularly questioned why the developers deemed it wise to make the player literally feel around in the dark as an idea for certain puzzles. Like I sad, dick move.
Metroid in vain
What is so weird about Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom is how these really abysmal and frustrating moments appear right in the middle of truly great segments of gameplay. Just as you start getting comfortable in the momentum of your game… your serenity comes crashing to a halt as the game throws a totally pointless curve-ball at you.
Perhaps the devs in charge of level design went on a coffee break during the final crunch for the game release date. Maybe it was the office rookies that were given the heavy lifting while the main level and gameplay designers were smoking a cigarette.
I will still give this game a recommendation because I must confess that I am not exactly good at platforming or Metroidvania games, so perhaps the fault is mine. Note, this is a very, VERY tentative recommendation, but I think this game has some truly innovative ideas that might just sustain players through moments when their molar teeth are smashing together.
Beautiful
Great platforming gameplay
Variety of locations
Boss fights are cool
Very inconsistent
Awful check point placement
Obnoxious level designs
Mediocre puzzle sections
Playtime: 21 hours total. For the single player campaign
Computer Specs: Windows 10 64-bit computer using Nvidia GTX 1070, i5 4690K CPU, 16GB RAM – Played using an Xbox One Controller

My Game Of The Year Top 10 List Thing, I Guess
Is this what you’re supposed to use Tumblr for? I have no idea. Anyways, here’s My Game Of The Year Top 10 List Thing, I Guess!
This list only includes games I’ve actually played that came out in 2017. I haven’t played all of the big-name games that came out this year, so here’s a list of every new game I played this year that isn’t objectively shovelware:
Android: Fire Emblem Heroes, OK Golf, Monogolf, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
Nintendo Switch: Fast RMX, Infinite Minigolf, Kamiko, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Namco Museum, Picross S, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Snipperclips, Sonic Mania, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Ping Pong Trick Shot, Vroom in the Night Sky
PC: 100ft Robot Golf, Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, Golf It!, Guts and Glory, Jackbox Party Pack 4, Pictopix, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, Project Cars 2, Tacopocalypse
Xbox One: Forza Motorsport 7
I bought a few more decent games that came out this year, but I haven’t gotten around to playing them yet, so they’re not included in the above list. I also bought a lot of old games and shovelware this year; you can check out my Backloggery here for proof. Anyway, here’s the list:
#10: 100ft Robot Golf
One of the best concepts for a game ever made. The game itself is pretty good, too. I might personally prefer the live-action cutscenes from No Goblin’s previous game Roundabout, but the anime cutscenes are also cool. My favorite mode is the one where you control four robots at the same time, trying to hit four golf balls into the same hole in a given time limit. I also really like the mech that’s controlled by five dogs, they’re good dogs.
Technically this game first came out last year, but it didn’t come to the PC until February of this year, which is when I was first able to play it.
#9: Sonic Mania
I have a couple of controversial opinions related to the Sonic series. I think that Sonic Adventure 1 is the best 3D Sonic game ever made, and I also think that Sonic Generations isn’t any better than Sonic 06. But I don’t think it’s controversial to say that Sonic Mania is a great game. The first playthrough is kind of annoying because you can’t go back and do old zones again until you beat the game. Also, you go back to the beginning of the zone, not the level, when you get a game over. And most of the deaths I had felt cheap in one way or another. But it was fun! Unlike almost every other Sonic game ever made, all of the stages are designed with going fast in mind, even the final few stages. There are definitely slow-paced platforming segments, but there aren’t very many instances where trying to go fast will hurt or kill you, so you can hold right and enjoy the great graphics and scenery flying by. I also really enjoyed the new-to-Mania zones, more than the old zones, in fact. The music in these zones in particular is fantastic, although it’s great in pretty much every level in the game.
#8: Picross S
It’s Picross, on the Switch! What more could you want? Well, a few more puzzles would be nice. There are 150 puzzles, but none of them are larger than 20x15 pixels, so I got through all of them fairly quickly. There’s also a Mega Picross mode, which is the same 150 puzzles, but sometimes the numbers of two adjacent rows or columns are combined. It’s kind of dumb. I also wish you could draw pixels on the touch screen, but the pixels do get pretty small in the bigger puzzles. Hopefully we’ll see a Picross S2, Picross S3, Picross S4, Picross S5, Picross S6, etc. in the coming months and years.
#7: Forza Motorsport 7
I have a LOT of complaints about this game.
The single player campaign sucks. I haven’t played a mainline Forza Motorsport game since 4, as I didn’t get an Xbox One until recently. Therefore, I don’t know what the campaigns were like in 5 and 6, but apparently 7 was supposed to make the campaign races feel like an actual racing series, with more realistic points distributions and all that. Great in theory, but the execution is terrible. In real racing, even the best drivers lose more than half of their races. In order to beat a series in Forza 7, you have to win every race in the series. Forza Horizon 3 did it right by not requiring you to win every race; you could finish last in every race in a championship, and you’d still beat the championship. Credits rewards are tied to the difficulty of the AI, so you want to turn it up to get more money, but then you’re more likely to lose races, which makes you want to turn the difficulty down or compensate by using a bunch of assists, like the stupid one that makes you drive as fast on the grass as on the road. There’s also no qualifying, so everybody starts in the same position every race, and the AI tends to finish in the same position every race as well. You also have to finish every race in a series before moving to the next series, which is annoying. So basically, every mechanic in single player is designed against having fun. Great!
Then there’s the progression. It’s slow, to say the least. There was controversy surrounding the VIP credits bonus, as it initially only gave you a few temporary cards that doubled your credits. However, it was updated to double your credits after every race, so that’s good. It still feels like you don’t gain credits fast enough to be able to buy and upgrade as many cars as you want, and that’s after I abused a glitch that allowed you to get infinite rewards (which has since been patched).
The game is also crash-prone, to the point of being almost unplayable on PC. The PC version has a memory leak which crashes the game after a few minutes if you look at your garage or upgrade your car. The Xbox version is more stable, but it’s still crashed a couple of times for me.
You’d think all of these criticisms would push the game off the top ten, right? But here’s the thing: multiplayer is super fun. Sure, it takes about ten minutes to get into your first race, because you always end up in a lobby where the race has just started. And sure, half the races end up in disaster because the guy behind you crashed into you at full speed at the first corner, but when you get near the front of the pack and have a good race with some other drivers, it’s a blast. I tried ghost racing for the first time the other day, and it led to surprisingly close and fun racing.
So yeah, Forza 7 is a pretty fun game, as long as you only play multiplayer.
#6: Monogolf
Decent mobile games are hard to come by these days. For a while, my go-to phone game was True Skate, but then it stopped working on my phone. Thanks, Huawei! Before that, I played Desert Golfing, but it got a bit boring after 3,000 holes. I saw Monogolf in the Google Play Store recently, thought it looked cool, and downloaded it. Now it’s my new go-to game.
Like many phone-based golf games (believe me, I’ve played a lot), you simply drag on the screen to point where you want the ball to go, and how fast it should go. The catch is that you have to get a hole-in-one on each hole. If you don’t, you lose a life. Beat as many holes as possible until you run out of lives. It’s super fun to try and beat your record, and you often do, as you’re constantly unlocking new lives. You also unlock extra level packs for reaching certain milestones.
The game’s art style is also really cool. A lot of mobile games go for the modern look, but it ends up looking cheap. Monogolf’s graphics don’t, helped by the variety of vivid colors and textures on the holes.
As far as in-app purchases are concerned, you can pay about $4.50 to unlock everything, including all of the pieces for course creation and the maximum number of lives, but everything can also be unlocked through normal playing.
I said a lot about Monogolf. The top five games are all Switch games, that wasn’t intentional, sorry.
#5: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Tin, why is this game not number one?
Because I liked the four games above this one better. That’s not to say Breath of the Wild isn’t a great game, because it is. And it deserves the overwhelming praise it’s gotten, too. I’ve just never been a huge fan of RPG or adventure games. Having never played more than a few hours of a Zelda game before, I expected to only play the game for a few hours just because using the Switch was a novelty at the time. However, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. Running around the vast open world is fun, as are the shrines. Somehow, I managed to defeat a Divine Beast before finding a single korok seed, so now there’s a korok seed permanently in the middle of my Divine Beast orbs in my inventory. I really need to go back and beat the two Divine Beasts I didn’t get so I can try out the DLC, because that skeleton bike looks super cool.
#4: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
So this is just an updated version of Mario Kart 8, which came out three years ago. Some might say that makes it ineligible for 2017 awards, but I don’t care.
Deluxe adds several new gameplay mechanics, new characters and karts, and an updated Battle Mode. The addition of a second item box makes for an even more hectic experience than Not_Deluxe, and also adds a bit of an extra layer of strategy. Should you go for the double item box, or will someone else snatch it up, leaving you with no items? The triple boost is also nice. Deluxe adds the Inklings from Splatoon as playable characters, which automatically makes the game twice as good (this is a scientifically provable fact). The Battle Mode is also really good, although I haven’t played it that much, because regular racing is so great. Given how all of this was added on to an already-great game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is probably the best game in the series, and arguably the best racing game this generation (the other major contender being Forza Horizon 3).
#3: Puyo Puyo Tetris
Yes, I know this came out years ago. I imported a Vita copy back in 2015 for my PSTV that I never use. However, I’m including it in this list because it didn’t receive an English release until this year, which means that I can actually read the menus and story.
It turns out that combining two of the best puzzle games ever made creates another great puzzle game. Who would have thought? The story mode is great fun, and the story itself is surprisingly enjoyable, particularly the part where Schezo makes a bunch of innuendos. As far as the main modes go, Swap mode is objectively the best mode, as both players play both Puyo Puyo and Tetris, and do so on an even playing field. Versus mode is the next best, particularly when both players are playing the same game. Puyo vs. Tetris matches can be a bit lopsided, due to the two games having different garbage rules. Big Bang mode is alright too, particularly the Puyo version. You should avoid the Party and Fusion modes though, they’re bad.
Playing online is super fun, although most people play Tetris, unsurprisingly. Playing against someone at a similar skill level results in super tense and exciting matches, often with both players scrambling to clear enough garbage to be able to make a decent combo again. Lopsided matches do happen pretty often, though. Fortunately, you can disable matches in modes you don’t like, even in ranked mode. I usually just play Swap and Versus, although I’ll sometimes play Big Bang as well.
#2: Super Mario Odyssey
While a lot of games recently have focused on huge, expansive worlds, with various places to do things, Odyssey instead has relatively small levels with things to do EVERYWHERE. There are essentially as many moons in this game as there are korok seeds in Breath of the Wild, which means that moons are probably 50 feet apart from each other on average. There’s always something new to do that won’t take more than a couple of minutes when you go back to a particular level (unless you’ve gotten all the moons on that level, of course, but even then you might have to go back for a thing or two…). Some people have said that it feels like busy work to get all of the moons, and it is to some extent, but I found it wasn’t that difficult to get most of, if not all the moons in a level in a few-hour session or two.
New Donk City is one of my favorite levels in any video game, ever. The music, atmosphere, and level design are all so fantastic that I had fun for hours just messing around, jumping through the city and up to the top of buildings. It’s definitely the standout level of the game IMO.
Mario has probably the best movement I’ve ever felt in any video game. There are so many different things he can do that I feel like I still haven’t learned all of his abilities, even though I’ve 100%ed the game. The jump -> throw cap -> dive to cap -> jump off cap -> throw cap again -> dive to cap again mechanic is super fun to perform, and not as complicated as it sounds. It takes a couple of tries to get used to, but it’s very intuitive once you get used to it.
The capture ability is also amazing. It surprisingly doesn’t feel gimmicky at all, as each of the objects you can capture let you do the things you’d want to do in a given level. Cheep-Cheeps can let you swim more quickly, Goombas let you walk on ice without slipping around, posts let you spring up the sides of buildings, and so on. My favorite object to capture is probably the pokey thing in Bowser’s Castle that I don’t remember the name of that lets you snap to and spring up walls, although it’s also one of the more finnicky objects to use.
Overall, SMO is probably the best platformer I’ve ever played, and I thoroughly enjoyed 100 percenting it. It would be my game of the year, except I happened to like one game even more. Can you guess what it is?
#1: Splatoon 2
You probably guessed what it was.
Splatoon 2 is the only game from this year that I played for more than 100 hours. For comparison, I played one game for more than 100 hours in 2016, Forza Horizon 3, and three games for more than 100 hours in 2015: Super Mario Maker, Rocket League, and Splatoon. Super Mario Maker and Rocket League are probably two of my top ten games of all time, and Forza Horizon 3 isn’t far behind. Splatoon would also be one of my top ten favorite games, if it wasn’t for the fact that Splatoon 2 is objectively so much better.
If you’ve never played Splatoon, the goal is basically to paint the floor with more ink than the other team (also you should play it right now). It sounds silly, but it’s super fun. The ranked modes are also great, and your rank is now broken up per mode, instead of all the modes contributing to the same rank. That’s great, because now you don’t have to only play one ranked mode if you’re better at that mode than the others.
There are a bunch of new gear items, some of which are really cool. I really like the tye-dye shirt, and also the jungle hat that everyone hates. You can also wear a plant if you really want to. I need to make it as clear as possible that the visual aesthetic of this game just oozes with coolness. It’s probably the coolest game I’ve ever played.
There are several new weapon types, too. The Splat Dualies are neat because you can dash twice while firing, making yourself a difficult target. The Splat Brella gives you a shield, but it isn’t very useful in practice IMO.
The new stages feel a lot more open than the stages in Splatoon 1. Humpback Pump Track has an incredible name and is a great smaller level, while Mako Mart has a more open feel, and the supermarket design is fantastic. It’s definitely my favorite level in the series. Most of my favorite stages from Splatoon 1 have made also their way to the sequel, including Port Mackerel, Kelp Dome, Walleye Warehouse, and Moray Towers (yes, I like that map).
Splatoon 2’s single player campaign is similar to the first game’s, with the added twist that you have to use various different weapons throughout the missions, instead of just the Splattershot. This adds a lot of replay value, as you now have to beat each level with each different weapon to 100 percent (or 1000 percent) the campaign. I’m about halfway through doing this, and I intend on finishing it eventually.
Salmon Run is new to Splatoon 2, and it’s a great new mode. You have waves of hordes of enemies that want to murder you, and you have to murder them first. There are probably much better explanations of the mode available. It also makes you try out new weapons, as the weapon you use is randomly assigned at the start of each wave from a set of four weapons. My main complaint with this mode is that I wish there were more rotations with completely random weapons, as a lot of the rotations with preset weapons tend to have a lot of weapons with low firing rates, which makes the mode more difficult and arguably less fun. Also, you can only play the mode on certain days, which is kind of silly.
Splatoon 2 is one of those games that’s greater than the sum of its parts. On paper, it sounds cool, but not as amazing as it really is. I almost didn’t buy the first Splatoon, which is something I have a hard time believing now (the same thing is true for Rocket League). It’s hard to put into words why, but the finished product, with all the great gameplay mechanics and super cool style blended together, is simply amazing. It’s more fun and cool than any other game I’ve played this year, so it’s an easy choice for my Game of the Year.
Hooray!
Honorable Mentions
These are games that would probably be on the list if I had a PS4 so I could play them:
Everybody’s Golf: I like golf games, as you might have noticed by the number of golf games I’ve played this year. This is a golf game, therefore I should like it.
Gran Turismo Sport: Gran Turismo is one of my favorite series of all time. A lot of people haven’t liked the more serious mode of racing that Sport offers, but I think it’ll be right up my alley. The livery editor also looks super cool.
Wipeout Omega Collection: I really liked Wipeout HD, and this is basically that, but with an even higher definition! Also, it has the tracks from Wipeout 2048 which I haven’t seen before.
These games almost made the Top Ten, but didn’t:
Jackbox Party Pack 4: It’s fun, but JPP3 is better IMO. Don’t worry, I’ll still be streaming more Jackbox in the future.
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS: I haven’t played this game much because it gives me anxiety when I play it. I really don’t like loud noises, so hearing a random gunshot after 20 minutes of silence startles me a lot. It’s also kind of slow-paced. I do like the concept more, so I’ll probably play it again soon, maybe with some music in the background.
Come back next year for my 2018 list, which will probably be the post after this one, given how little I use Tumblr!
