TELL US SAGES BACKSTORY NOW PLEASE AND THANK YOU

I’ve written a really long drawn out backstory for them, but here’s the TLDR!

Sage was born from a wealthy noble family in Waterdeep. Both of their parents are human but somehow they were born a tiefling (they don’t know about their mother’s infidelity). To avoid a scandal, their father charmed a necklace with a glamour charm to disguise their appearance. Their father is extremely cold to them, their mother loves them deeply.

As they got older their relationship with their parents becomes strained (extremely so with their father). One night at a party, Sage’s father forced them to perform (like usual) but Sage wasn’t having it. They defied him and he became violent, grabbing their arm and yelling at them. Sage (who had been practicing magic) felt their anger becoming volatile and it exploded in a burst of lighting, destroying their glamour charmed necklace and nearly killing their father. During the chaos Sage ran away, never to return to Waterdeep.

Roughly 24 hours of progress on my project for this year's Desert Bus Craftalong so far, out of an estimated 180 hours. So we've got a ways to go yet, but I think this moon came out pretty well.

As is tradition, I'm not telling what the subject is, but that silhouette might look a little familiar...

Also, if anyone needs a reminder, today (May 27) is the last day of the Craftalong submission period, so if you're thinking of submitting a craft idea for this year, get it in before midnight PDT!

(Yes, I started this before submissions even open, because if I didn't, I'd never have enough time to finish by the deadline. Cross stitch takes a lot of time! Also I procrastinate working on the pattern a lot.)
