Bellringer Art Set

I made a whole bunch of Bellringer art for a little project! And also because he is my current obsession because I cycle through like 20 Cogs to obsess over.

There's 1 PFP, 1 phone background, and 2 desktop backgrounds. These are free to use privately and free to use publicly with credit!

Extra ramblings about the art process below

The PFP was meant to make him look kinda like even when he was super tired, he'd still retain his elegant looks. I mean, he already does look tired all the time, but I was trying to lean into that a little bit. I struggled a lot with the upturned collar since that was actually my first time really drawing it LOL, but I still think it turned out okay.

The phone background was meant to look a little hotter, but uh... I don't think my intentions came across. I struggled SO much to draw the hand and I remember sending around "Biblically accurate Bellringer" which was just all the arm/hand sketch layers being visible because I'd made so many attempts. I do struggle to draw actual hands so the hand was no surprise to me, but the arm too? Seriously? That's usually like, one of the easiest parts of a drawing for me... But on the bright side, it still turned out alright. I think I'll be keeping anatomically incorrect Cathal as my phone wallpaper for now though {I <3 anatomically incorrect Cathal he's so cute even with his weird hand and his misshapen gear neck}.

The desktop backgrounds I'm definitely most proud of. I was complaining to my boyfriend about how I wanted a full piece for the set but wasn't sure if I'd have enough time, and he only said "ocean" in response which I think was meant to be a joke. For me, though, it was a stroke of genius because I realized I can just make a simple background. So, I drew the night/sunset sky. However, all the purples I was using for shading clashed WAY too much with the established style of the rest of the set, so I reused my lineart, reshaded it with red, and threw together a background that matched the other pieces in style. I also decided to pay slight tribute to my Danganronpa Amino days when I'd make "edits" of my favorite characters and subtly copied my old artstyle.

The next day, Julia came over and surprised Sally with a friendly gift of appreciation....a meat cube? and she hung out for a while.

Then these little demons (or are they gods? cause im pretty sure sims worship gnomes man) started popping up all over the place, fucking harvestfest the next day. I put 2 of them in her inventory and decided to try and appease the naked winking one because he seemed more chill like he'd roll a j for you if you asked maybe

nope. naked winky gnome fried her tv. naked winky gnome fried her personally. naked winky gnome did not appreciate fruitcake as much as sally does. and here she thought they were kindred naked souls? damn. anyways, I got pissed off and sold him and the other 2 but I didn't want to make money from it so i reset her funds to what they were. i erased all traces of them.

I also changed the holiday tradition of gnomes to inviting people over instead, and immediately after I did that she got a call from nancy landgraab asking if she wants to come over to her place!

Sally, having gotten along with nancy really well and kinda romanticizing her and her life in her head decided to go - she enjoyed talking to her so much that she decided she likes hard working sims (which was not her preference before, boring people those hard workers but not nancy. She makes it seem fun?)

She looked like an excited puppy around a bunch of people who definitely dont match her energy but i dont think she really cared much, they had dinner together - debated politics, the usual holiday stuff..etc

he really gets heated about politics i guess, she lost the debate out of fear i think lol like chill, that was her sign to go home

I made a little invite only club with the girls she befriended so they can hang out more, tasks are basically all kinds of socializing, drinking at bars and dancing at home or any nightclub. She invited them over for the rest of the day and first thing she did was go try to talk to summer some more to get that blunder of a day last time out of her head and they got along great this time!

SO she's kinda having an existential crisis right now, left with absolutely nothing in her household funds (but thankfully a couple of hundred in her savings account that she JUST made) & some pretty fake people around her, shouting *!# on the bathroom floor is a given

Oh gosh, there are so many, too many to name. 😭 But I’ll list a few here that consistently put out content that makes me smile and activates my itchy “download” trigger finger…

@ravensim (Makes gorgeous hairs that I *love* having in my game!), @viiavi (Their Salvia Eyes are my favourite default eyes ever, and the other content they put out is consistently excellent!), @oni28 (Gorgeous furniture, clutter, and other beautiful things!), @okruee (their hairs are to die for, I love them all so much), @simstrouble (Again, beautiful hair and clothes that I can never wait to DL), @sims4nicolesstuff (I have so many of her plant cc, it’s ridiculous, they’re so nice), @peacemaker-ic (The god of MM furniture and addons, I have almost all his stuff, it’s amazing) QRSims (Top notch hair, especially for male sims!), and so many more…!!!

11. How do you edit your photos?

I have a couple posts that explain how I go about it. This one which explains some reshade presets I use and shows before/after shots, and this one, where I share a download for my Photoshop Actions. Basically, I lighten them up a bunch in a photo editing program (I’ve used both CSP and PS in the past) and fiddle with contrast/levels, increase the saturation, etc. Adding Topaz Clean to the process has been a relatively recent addition, but you can still get very nice results without it. ^^

24. What are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (Paranormal)

I’m amazed that they put so many new gameplay elements in a stuff pack! I swear, it should have been a game pack, but I’m not complaining. ^^ I love the aesthetic of the new clothes and furniture. I have yet to do much playing with the haunted house stuff, but it seems like it’ll be fun. I’ll likely get a lot more use long-term out of the CAS/BB items than the gameplay, though!

All in all, good on you, EA. A+ stuff pack.

The Next Post

Is so fucking important to me. 

I’ve called it the “Umbrella Scene”. It’s been planned for over a year now. Ever since I came up with this scene, so much has went into it. I’ve discussed this with my close friends on here, I’ve discussed it with my friends in real life, I’ve practiced shooting screenshots multiple times and spent time setting lighting, angles, even making a new reshade for it. In fact, it’s not even going to be captioned, it’s going to be written out. I’ve been waiting for so long to post this scene and now I’m finally here. 

And I’m hesitant to post it. 

I’ve just...I’m slowly feeling so demotivated by Tumblr and I hate it. I hate how we can see the number of notes. I hate how most of the people that used to interact with me so much have either left or barely go on here. Everyone has been getting more and more silent despite me gaining more and more followers. I love my story with all my heart and I put so much time and effort into it yet seeing how low my notes have gotten makes me feel so irrelevant and shitty and I hate how that’s affecting me because I love this scene so much and of course notes don’t matter, but it really does feel nice to get some validation and once again I’m wondering why I’m spending so many hours on something that barely anyone cares about. 

I said this several months back and like before, I hate how I sound like I’m complaining and I understand that this issue pales in comparison to what’s going on in the world and I still overall do this for me. I just had to get this off my chest. Idk, my thoughts are all over the place and I’m probably gonna post this scene at the end of the week depending on how I’ll feel by then. After that, I think I’ll take another break. I’ll still post, just more lighthearted non-story stuff I’m not too invested in. That’s what I’ve been doing lately and it looks like it’s needed.

I'm embracing my inner FromSoft sweaty and downloaded two mods that make TTW a little harder. I have the difficulty set to normal and I've died more times than I care to admit. I downloaded Bleed and added the Roy/Sawyer mod on top of it. I've never seen Muties eat that many bullets before in my life, holy fuck. I'm still working on Moira's book, currently in chapter 4, but took a detour to do Blood Ties. It's a neat experience, I love all the changes TTW brings to the table which are complimented by those two mods.

I've been wanting to do some difficult runs in Skyrim and in Fallout 4 as well so I'm setting up a profile in MO2 for FO4 to do just that. Apparently Horizon is the mod for that kind of playthrough. I was rewatching some old EpicNate videos the other day and the video pretty much covered difficult creatures in FO4 and it just got my mouth watering with a potential for getting my ass kicked in a Fallout game. Granted I always said TES and modern FO games can be a hell of a challenge in high difficulties and yes, even to the levels of SF games. Yes, this is a hill I'm proudly willing to die on. I got a taste of it several years ago in Skyrim but I wasn't in that mindset at that time. Getting one shotted by a wolf wasn't on my to do list at that time. Now? I got a hard on just thinking about it. On top of that I have the Modern Firearms mod which is a mod I refuse to not have on any FO4 modlist for a lot of reasons but mainly because vanilla weapons are gross af but y’all have already heard me complain about that too much already. What that mod does as well is also increase the difficulty because it ain’t just YOU running around with those guns, named enemies and more powerful enemies on a normal difficulty can and will one shot you before you even know they’re aiming at you.

Anyway, I especially look forward to the Far Harbor DLC in this setting cuz two of the most messed up creatures in the entire game is in there, a little hard to come across but I’m gonna hunt them down so help me. Modding is gonna take a while because Horizon doesn’t jive with a lot of mods that I normally use so I gotta either leave ‘em out, find a work around or find a patch. Might take a while. Oh! And I’m super hype to try out Reshade because I always used ENBs but since I played...The Division I think...I’ve been using Reshade and it’s a lot better than ENBs especially setting it up. I have a few I wanna check.

Still waiting for the doctor to actually sit me down and since I'm a first timer here I heard she takes a long time. Been here an hour. Still wishing I coulda taken someone with me up here bc anxiety is stupid. I completely understand why I couldn't so I didn't bitch anyone out just wishing internally is all.

I'm bored outta my mind so going through mods on Nexus to see which ones I wanna use. I decided to use NAT since I use NAC for Fallout 4 and I have ZERO complains about it. Wonderful weather mod but it limits what ENBs I can use. I saw one I liked but it seemed a bit unclear on whether it's an ENB or a ReShader. I have no idea how to work with ReShaders so I gotta recheck when I get home.

I'm going through some well known Skyrim mods and holy shit Fores retired from modding! I haven't played Skyrim in almost a year and that happened??? Wow. At least he left his mods to the Caretakers. Both are practically essential to a ton of animation and pose mods so without it dozens of mods would be unusable.

I'm pretty shocked tbh.
