The most frequent service requests I get aside from tunings are for sticking keys. There are an insane number of issues that can cause this, but one of the most common is a tight jack flange. It doesn't look like it, but there is an ever so slight hesitation in this jack --juuuusssst enough to keep it from returning to rest position quickly, which means the key doesn't repeat properly. #piano #pianotech #pianojack #stickingkey #pianoinnards #grandpiano #masonandhamlin #themoreyouknow (at Clark College -- Vancouver, Washington)
