Gorgon (Stheno) Child OC - Aggie:

Appearance:

Has about 35 locs (she is black), naturally a dark brownish red, that will morph into snakes when prompted. (this could work with any type of hair. The more sections of hair you have, the more snakes. so if you had your hair in pig tails, you'd get two snakes. if you had your hair loose, it could be any number of snakes depending on what the magic of the world decided was 'clumped' up enough.)

mostly symmetrical patches of reddish brown scales along the arms, legs, stomach, back, and face.

sharp and pointed teeth that are mostly at the front of the mouth. still has molars and some flat frontmost teeth.

Powers:

The ability to turn people to stone. This has to be a conscious decision so making eye contact with someone will not immediately turn someone to stone.

Is able to make people "freeze" with her gaze. This means that when she uses this power, people will feel compelled to not move and stay frozen in place out of fear. It usually goes away when eventually once Aggie stops looking at them, leaves the area, or if they are snapped out of it by an outside force.

Venom. Not only do her snakes have the ability to inject venom into others, so does Aggie. It is only lethal in high dosages, but one short bite could leave someone paralyzed for a few hours.

Enhanced physical abilities. Naturally stronger, faster, and more agile than others including stamina and endurance.

Enhanced healing. Since she can't ingest nectar or ambrosia, she has to deal with healing the old fashioned way, but good thing she heals much faster than the average camper.

Personality:

She is someone who, at the beginning, tried to be optimistic about her situation but eventually was brought down by it.

before she was taken to camp, she was a very happy child. Stheno treated her amazingly and she loved making friends. She laughed easily and smiled at everyone, but camp made her cold.

She does it because, very early, a few campers pretended to be her friends just to humiliate her infront of the rest of the camp. Receiving minimal punishment from Mr. D. She no longer allows people to get close to her, not that many try.

There were actually a few campers that genuinely wanted to be her friends, but Aggie was so scared of being hurt again that she shut them down and avoided them until they gave up. This turned into a rumor of Aggie being mean and cold so people stopped trying.

Now she is very introverted. She prefers training by herself under Chiron's watch, but there is only so much she can do by herself.

She loves researching. She has gone through every book the Big House has and has notebooks upon notebooks full of information that have been used on quests throughout the years.

She's very kind when she is given the opportunity too. She never speaks badly of others and always says yes when asked to help. Is this because she knows that if she acts anyway but friendly, it will only turn out badly for her? Probably, but also, she doesn't see a reason to be mean. It takes more effort to be mean and rude to others than to say some nice words or take a few minutes to help out.

Very goofy and nerdy. She actually holds in her laughter when she hears others tell stupid jokes and puns around camp. She collects pokemon cards and has a DnD character full scripted out with a 20 page backstory. Likes collecting rocks and also has a pet jumping spider named penny.

Can be very sarcastic and witty. She loves friendly banter and is quick to shoot a comeback but usually people mean what they say to her so she doesn't try when she is at camp.

Etc:

Her chosen weapons are daggers and she also has a whip that magically appeared in her cabin one day after a meeting with her mother.

She sneaked a cat into her cabin a few years ago and has been raising it ever since.

Has a tense allyship with the Hunters of Artemis. Since they are more powered than many of the demigods at camp, they train with her when they visit.

Wears sunglasses around camp because most people refuse to look her direction if they can see her eyes.

Has slowly rebuilt her cabin over the years to fit her liking. Added on an extra room, made the outside look very nice. It looks like a whimsigothic dream. All purples, black, blues and golds. The inside is very homey. Everything inside she found at thrift and secondhand shops in NY. A large comfy couch that's a dark brown. Some flowy white curtains. A used coffin as a coffee table. multiple shag carpets in different colors. nothing matches but it all fits.

Regularly sneaks out of camp to teach herself how to drive and to actually have normal interaction past a few strained words.

Has named all of her snakes and instantly knows which one she is talking to. And yes, she can talk to her snakes. She can talk to all snakes, actually.

Has snuck a magic cup and plate into her cabin for when she doesn't want to deal with the pavilion.

has so much time on her hands outside of training that she has taught herself italian, spanish, german, mandarin, asl, and japanese. She isn't completely fluent, but she has been able to hold conversation with people she encounters outside of camp.

Once has an entire conversation with Lord Hermes without even realizing it. He had heard of the gorgon child at the camp and found her in NY to see for himself if she was going to be a danger to his children.

Has done all of her own piercings. Its just her ears and nose but her skin is denser than a normal humans and she doesn't want a mortal piercer to question why they can't get the needle through.

Has some snake tendencies: Likes to lay in the sun for hours. Doesn't really have the best sense of smell unless her breaths through her mouth. (snakes smell with their tongue). Usually eats a really big meal and doesn't need to again for a few days. Can literally go hours without blinking.

Her mother doesn't know where theses things come from since she doesn't have any tendencies like this, so they assume that it's the fates playing with them.

Backstory: (TW: SA) After Poseidon had taken advantage of Medusa, one of Athena’s priestesses, within Athena’s sacred temple. Athena had cursed Medusa with hair of snakes and ruined her beauty. Unbeknownst to Athena, Medusa was pregnant with Poseidon’s child from this encounter. Some months later, a gorgeous baby girl was born, untouched by Athena’s curse.

Sotiria was raised by Medusa, but felt no love from her. Her mother despised her because of her father, but there were times she truly cared for her. She was typically cold and distant, which Sotiria noticed.

On the other hand, Poseidon loved her. Unfortunately, Sotiria did not feel the same. He bestowed great power upon her and she took it without thanks. But he was still the man who hurt her mother and created this unfulfilling life for her. He was always amazed by her beauty and resemblance to Medusa, which was another reason her mother grew more bitter towards her. Sotiria consistently rejected her father’s efforts to join him and rule the sea.

After some years, Sotiria still demonstrated her strong abilities from the sea god and growing beauty as she matured, and Medusa grew more jealous and resentful of her daughter. Although she had some motherly love for her, she couldn’t bare to see her daughter live a prosperous life, even if she was miserable lacking the love she ought to receive.

Medusa told her daughter how beautiful she was one day and once Sotiria gently smiled at thanked her, Medusa looked her in the eyes and turned her to stone. Sotiria was frozen in a beautiful pose, standing tall with a soft smile and books held in one arm, curly hair cascading down past her shoulders.

The Gorgon took great care of her daughter’s stone statue, keeping it with her for years to come until she opened Auntie Em’s Garden Emporium. Sotiria stood front and center, surrounded by a pool of water and holding fresh flowers where her books would have been. Years went by and fate caused Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood to visit.

Percy was oddly drawn to this statue, but shook the feeling as he went to search for the pearls that would aid his escape from the Underworld. It was a shock to the three when they realized Medusa was the owner of this garden shop, but Percy beheaded her with the help of his friends and they finally had a moment to think. It was then that Annabeth realized who this statue depicted—or rather, who it was.

Percy was shocked to learn he was looking at his long lost sister and as he approached the pool of water with coins that had sunk to the bottom. His hands waded in the water as he processed this information, not noticing the water rising up the stone dress and turning it back to its soft texture. As the water kept rising, Sotiria was revived and took a breath as the rest of her body was returned to its natural form. The three stood in awe as she took in her surroundings and began shouting in Greek, and while Annabeth began to explain in Greek, Sotiria was hit with a wave of power that granted her knowledge of their language and strength from her powers.

Grover helped her down as she grasped the reality that she had been turned to stone by her mother, missed the past 23 centuries, she had a half-brother standing in front of her, and he’d just killed Medusa. He explained to her that he was just as resentful towards their father and he expressed that he was sorry for her troubling situation. Sotiria decided she owed him a debt for saving her from her stone cage and would join him on their mission if they were okay with it. Annabeth was hesitant at first due to her lineage, but put it aside and agreed to let Sotiria join them. Percy felt less alone with his sister by their side.

My Headcanons/Backstory for the Gorgon Family(ft. OC)

The Gorgon Sisters

From oldest to youngest: Euryale, Stheno, and Medusa

I like the idea(i do not remember the og post) that the Gorgon sisters where always snake monsters and the curse was a fear aura(explanation for them being called hideous when they were said to be beautiful) and Medusa's gaze. But i will add other stuff were due to the curse

Euryale

Ive seen depictions were Medusa's sisters looked differently to her with boar tusks/face and brass hands and being very fast. Euryale is the sister with the brass, from her hands up to her elbows. Them claws were made for tearing. She also has boar tusks along with her snake fangs. I made my oc Amelio Gorgon her son, his brass only goes up a bit past his wrist.

Stheno

Viperine's mom. Also has boar tusks along with snake fangs. Doesn't have brass hands tho, but she is the fastest of the sisters, I was inspired by how quick Viperine is with makeup and her speech, like dc speedsters lol.

Medusa

Stone gaze ofc. Doesn't have boar tusks and she's the only sister without a snaketail, she got regular legs. Medusa has the title of Man Hater for a good reason, whereas her sisters where fine with staying secluded on their temple and only attacking those that went looking for them, but Medusa Hunted.

Hisstory:

The sisters separated for a good couple years to find themselves as they had always been known as the Gorgon Sisters or even worse Medusa and her sisters, not just Euryale, Stheno and Medusa.

During those years apart the first gorgon cousin was born Amelio(my oc), but Euryale didn't contact her sisters or meet them as her child was a boy and raising a child as a single mother is difficult.

Stheno sent word that she had born a daughter but didn't meet up with her sisters as she wanted to focus on making roots for herself and her sisters by getting a house for herself and buying plots for her sisters.

Medusa called for her sisters when Deuce was born because she wants the help of her big sisters, as as far as she knows one of them already has a kid, and because she's having a moral dilemma about having a son, as she loves her child but despises men and her child will grow into one, but thats her baby, how can she ever hate her baby?

And so the sister's have their long overdue reunion with extra passengers. Medusa and Stheno were both surprised, and pissed, that Euryale never said anything about having a child, let alone a son. But they get over it and catch up and raise their kids together for a bit.

The Gorgon Cousins

My boiiii<3. Like i said oldest. I have him in like his mid-20s. Monster High Graduate. Lives on a farm with his two boyfriends💗. When they were little Deuce and Viperine used to beg him to go in disguise to get normie stuff. Viperine cant hide her monster features as easily as the boys can, but Deuce couldn't go because his mom was a bit overprotective and hated normies. He goes out into the human world as a gardener/flowershop employee since it explains away any questions people have. Beanie to hide snakes? Fashion. Mask for fangs? Allergies to a plant. Gloves for claws? Garden work. Has a work apron to complete the look "Emi's Flowers" which is supposed to be his mom's normie name. She hates it. His cousin's sometime call him "Lio" instead of his full name inspired by the cowardly lion because he doesn't like fighting. Its all fun n games tho, they don't actually mean it, they've seen what he can do with those claws.

Viperine i hc to be in 18-early 20s. She already has a job but she's also pretty young similar to Elisabat's age because Elisabat grew up with Draculaura and i know she can just be a teen/child star but i lile her being a lil older than laura better >:(. (I hc like 1800). She's physically and mentally older than Elisabat. She and Deuce like to race even tho he should know that he'll lose evrytime cuz superspeed but he's stubborn(no listen, like 'lio, dude, i totally got her this time, i went to this Ex-scream training camp, i got this).

The Gorgon Family has the vibes of "looks they could kill you, could actually kill you" with the exception of Amelio who has more of a "looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll (that could actually kill you)"

Stone Cold-Prologue

"Oh Gabriel! Come out and play!" A voice rich and smooth like honey calls out causing the terrified man, using the tree he's in as shelter, to nearly faint from how hard and fast his heart palpitates in his chest. The night had started out fine. He and his date had gone out for dinner, had gone for a walk in the park, and then sat in his car for a bit enjoying each other's company.

Her name was Dawn, and man was she beautiful. Flowing red hair like fire and green eyes that seemed to pierce your very soul. She had curves in all the right places and also had a very witty sense of humor that seemed to pull him right in. Again, everything had started out fine....Until Gabriel didn't know how to take no for an answer.

Flashback

"I said no! The night was going just fine! Why'd you have to go and ruin it?!" Dawn demands glaring at her date her hair disheavled and her red lipstick now smudged. They had been getting along marvelously until he had tried to touch her without her permission." You're just like every other guy I've met! You want nothing but sex!" Not liking the fact that he was being denied a moment of pleasure, Gabriel tried to force himself on Dawn grabbing a hold of her hair causing her to react by punching him. As he recoiled in pain, she hopped out of the car and made a run for it glad that she had changed out of her heels.

"Dawn, wait! Come back!" Gabriel runs after her knowing that if he doesn't do something, she could cost him everything. He was a star athlete after all. The star and captain of his of his football team. He had a chance to go pro, but if word somehow got back to his coach that he forced himself upon some poor girl he'd never hear the end of it from anyone.

While running Dawn collided with three women who seemed to be going for a midnight stroll as well. Collecting themselves, the women look at her curiously." Are you alright?" The one in the middle asks her hazel eyes filled with worry. Panting, Dawn looks at the three women who glance at each other before looking back at her." Come on honey. Let's get you out of here. You shouldn't be here by yourself."

After explaining what had happened to the women, they had promised to take her home." I'm Stheno." The one with red hair says with a soft smile. She looks to be the oldest, but she couldn't be a day over 25. The one in the middle hugs Dawn startling her, but she doesn't mind." I'm Euryale!" She introduces herself with enthusiasm causing everyone in the little group to laugh." And I'm Medusa." The one on the end says offering a kind smile.

Dawn had hoped that Gabriel would have simply gone home, but when he catches up to her she can't help but cower at the sight of him. Noticing this, Stheno and Euryale hide her behind them. " Can we help you?" Medusa asks as a soft hiss fills the air. Putting his hand out, Gabriel ignores her." Come on Dawn. I'm sorry. Let me take you home." Narrowing her eyes, Medusa takes a step forward." Stheno? Euryale? Escort Dawn home please. Make sure that she is ok before you leave. I'll take care of him."

Understanding what they're sister is saying, they quickly lead Dawn away who can't seem to stop thanking them for their help. Medusa looks over the young man before smirking." Let's play a game." Gabriel glares at her with hatred." Yeah, no thanks." As he moved to walk past her planning on going after the three women who are getting further and further away, Medusa grabs his arm." I wasn't asking." She growls as she pushes him back her fangs glinting in the moonlight, and they definitely don't go unnoticed by Gabriel, who fails to realize that he is in danger.

"What are you? Some kind of freak?" He demands before laughing." It's a bit early for Halloween lady.'' Medusa smiles letting out an ominous chuckle." Oh this is going to be so much fun." She says as a a golden bow appears in her hand." Whoa! Hey!" Gabriel cries out in fear as she draws back the string an arrow appearing." You want to live? I suggest you run." Not even asking questions, Gabriel takes off running in the other direction a chill going down his spine at the sound of a shrill laugh and the sudden beat of wings.

Now here he is. Stuck in a tree with nowhere to go because some psycho is trying to kill him. Gabriel's body trembles as he looks down no longer hearing the crazy woman with the bow. Leaping down from the branch, Gabriel wastes no time before taking off back in the direction of his car. If he'd had his phone he'd be able to call for help, but even then he's sure he'd be caught.

As he runs Gabriel hears loud hisses and looks to his right letting out a scream of terror as he sees what should only be possible in horror movies. A winged creature with the body of a woman and a head full of black snakes instead of hair, running alongside him. This catches him off guard and causes him to trip over the root of a tree.

Laughter surrounds him and he powers closing his eyes tightly. Gabriel wasn't stupid. This creature may have had wings, but the head full of snakes was a dead give away. He'd managed to piss off a creature thousands of years old." Tks tsk. I thought you were gonna last longer than that." Medusa says clearly disappointed before pulling Gabriel to his feet by his hair.

Noticing how he cowers and keeps his eyes closed, Medusa chuckles clearly amused." You know who I am. Why don't you look me in the eye hmm? Wouldn't that be much better than letting my babies eat those pretty blue eyes of yours?" She whispers as the snakes that make up her hair playfully nip at his face causing him to whimper.

" She won't miss you. Not after what you've done. You know a crime like that must be punished. Why don't you take just a quick look? It won't hurt a bit." Gabriel's face softens at the sound of Medusa's voice. It's as if she were talking to a child. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to just take a peek?

Slowly, Gabriel's eyes open meeting amber reptilian eyes." Gotcha." Medusa says triumphantly as her snakes hiss loudly their eyes glowing brightly as they draw back as if preparing to strike. Gabriel tries to cover his face, but it's already too late. His body begins to turn to stone, his eyes wide in a mix of awe and terror. Yet another man has fallen victim to Medusa's stare. There had been plenty of the centuries.

Looking over her latest work of art, Medusa smiles her features slowly returning to normal." Goodbye Gabriel." She says amused before walking away proud of her handiwork. Oh how she loved what she did.

Skill: Caladoc is an expert swordsman, archer, and whipsman. Out of all of his three weapons, he prefers the whip the most.

Personality: Caladoc is a harsh, cruel, brutal, and sadistic young man who has a high sex drive. He is known for his brutality for whipping, raping, and enslaving his female enemies as slowly slicing his male enemies while wearing a crimson veil, hence his epithet. He sees women as innocent sheep and strong men as brutal wolves. In order to survive, the men must ravage women. To him, it’s an unbreakable cycle that needs to continue. Out of all of his half-brothers, Caladoc is the most attached to Kiev the most and the least to Leche. With Dasik, Zefir, Biko, and Jalebi, they are disgusted with his extreme punishments on servants and brutality on citizens. Nusstorte sees this as a reason to give Dasik the position of Deputy Minister of Transport rather than Caladoc due to safety and concern for the citizens. He falls in love and married Maleah, Kiev’s young nanny, in a ceremonial ritual. They planned to have children and adopt Kiev as their own when they move to Mino Island near Romanos.

About: Charlotte Caladoc is the eldest son of the twelfth son, Nusstorte, and his first wife, Horatia. He is a part of Mousse’s fleet as he is responsible for capturing young men for him. He has six younger half-brothers named Dasik, Leche, Zefir, Biko, Jalebi, and Kiev. His lover is Maleah, a seventeen-year-old Kau nanny/servant for Kiev. Caladoc is a Gorgon cultist, meaning that he worships the Gorgon brothers, mostly Sthenos and Euryalas, and performs rituals with Maleah and servants of his manor. Despite Horatia abandoning the cult when she married Nusstorte, her younger brother, Silvius, was able to contact him years after her death.

Aggie Stories #1

People say that children can be cruel. Mother said they might be. And they can be. Especially when no one stops them. No one ever stops them.

They cut her hair. They pretended to be her friends. To like her and get to know her just to hurt her. Aggie though that maybe it wouldn't be so bad here. That, after a while, the other campers would like her. But they cut her hair.

She's knelt down behind her cabin. Where they left her. Where they left her kneeling in a pile of her own hair. Her babies. Only two are left and they nuzzle franticly against her bloody tearstained face. She has 35. 35 locs that become 35 snakes that over the years became her 35 babies. She spoke to them and feed them and stopped fights between her hair line and crown.

Aggie stared down at the hair, a few had managed to morph before they hit the ground and that only added to the mounting horror in Aggies chest. She really thought that things were changing.

My Stheno Child OC backstory:

Stheno, the oldest of the gorgon sisters, just really wanted to know what the hype was about having a child. She saw the gods and other deities and immortal creatures having children and though, why not?

Made herself look human and chose a random mortal man that she could stand for more than 5 seconds to mate with. Probably offed him afterwards, not gonna lie.

Did not enjoy pregnancy, pretending that immortal pregnancy is anything like a mortal human pregnancy, but the birthing process wasn't horrible. Was disappointed that the child was not born with snakes but a small bit of dark brownish red curly hair. (That would change later.)

The child did have some symmetrical patches of scales down her arms, legs, and back and stomach. And some on her cheeks and hair line. They were all black and dark brownish red shades. As well as orange iris' with slitted pupils. When the child started teething, she most except her front teeth and back molars were at least somewhat pointed and definitely sharp.

Stheno is surprisingly up to date with the modern world so she picked a house in New York to raise the kid. Why NY? No one blinks an eye at weird shit that happens there. And her human form is a pretty stern and intimidating looking woman so no one was going to mess with her anyway.

She used the Mist to disguise her child's appearance when she was old enough to be taken out of the house. And let her mingle with the mortal world for a few years, learning how to interact with normal humans.

She named the child Agony Thorn. She thought that mortals named their children after things they liked but soon discovered that Agony was not a normal name so calls her Aggie out of the house.

When Aggie turned 9, she turned someone to stone for the first time. her mother was waiting for this to happen but assumed that it wasn't a skill Aggie inherited since she loves looking at people an no one has every been turned before. Until, Aggie got scared after being separated from her Mother on the street one day and turned a person who was cornering her on a empty sidewalk. Her powers need to be a conscious decision. Aggie's only thought was "I want this person to leave me alone" and they did. By dying.

This was the age that other monsters started paying attention to her and it was beginning to be a problem. Many of these monsters, for some reason, do not care that her mother is one of the Gorgon sisters, so they try and hurt her child. So Stheno has to make a choice: continue raising her child by herself where a monster could try and hurt her the moment they are apart, or send her somewhere where she will be safe.

Stheno never noticed how attached she had grown to her child until she realized she has shifted her entire life just to raise her, so she begrudgedly chose the second option. Which meant sending her somewhere safe. And really the only place that is safe for morals with non-human blood was Camp Half Blood. Of course, there was Camp Jupiter, but they still didn't allow people with creature blood into their camps.

Camp Half Blood did, but up until Aggie, it's never actually happened with anyone that wasn't part nymph or harpy. Something more, 'dangerous'. So CHB needed to prove that they meant what they said. Any child with non-human blood would be welcomed and protected.

Stheno requested an audience with Chiron and asked that he house her child. Make her her own cabin if he needed to if he was scared of her hurting anyone, but take her in and protect her. Like he promised.

Stheno could tell that, even if the answer was yes, her child was in for an unfavorable next few years as Aggie learned how to protect herself so that she could survive on her own once she reaches adult hood.

Chiron asked for a few days to deliberate with the head counselors and Mr. D to determine if this would be allowed. They all knew they would have to. They can't say that all are welcome just to turn some away because they are to 'monstrous'. So a week later, Stheno received a message confirming that a cabin was being built for Aggie and that she could start her stay the next month when it was finished. On one condition.

Stheno swear on the styx that she not hurt any demigod while her child is in their custody. She swore never to kill any demigod she encounters. Emphasis on kill. She still has a reputation to uphold.

Moving in was very tense. At 10 years old in human years (she seemed to be growing at half, or even less, the rate of normal mortals. So really maybe 5), Aggie had to witness as an entire camp of demigods watched (in full armor) as she and her Mother walked towards the back of camp near the woods, where the other monsters are kept, to place her things in her cabin. Mother was only allowed in for an hour before she was required to leave. They had a few moments alone in the cabin while her mother gave her a special phone that will allow her to use it without fear of monsters finding her, that Stheno had made a deal with Hecate for. Never dies, can take pictures and videos, has access to the internet.

Stheno left her child with some parting words until their next meeting: "Those people outside may treat you wrongly, but know that that is not because of who you are. But because of what they believe. I have done things that gives them reason to not trust me, but you have done nothing of the sort. Keep your head up and learn all you can. Remember you are a Gorgon and we do not go down without a fight." A kiss to the larger patch of scales on her forehead, and Stheno needed to leave. Escorted to the perimeter.

The next few years, 20 actually, were hard. The other campers always watched her with suspicious eyes and walked on egg shells around her. Never interacting with her unless it was needed for training reasons and she was not allowed to go on quests. When new campers came, they would quickly be updated on her presence, usually with some untrue horror stories thrown in. She sat by herself at the back of the pavilion and never really went to campfires. She went on one field trip to Olympus and was almost blasted by the first god that saw her.

Her mother made her promise to stay until she at least looked old enough to be of legal age in the mortal world. She did, but only because she knew, in the end, this will only be a small part of her life.

When she was 30 human years, around 13-15 actually, Percy Jackson came to camp and finally, it was someone else's turn to have all of the camps weariness directed at them.
