“mhmmm, why hello there, nancy jean wheeler…”

          her  cheeks  flare  up  in  a  blush,  taking  a  moment  to  gawk  at  him  before  she’s  reaching  forward  to  give  his  shoulder  a  light  shove.  it’s  not  enough  to  do  any  real  damage  to  him,  but  she’s  embarrassed.  it  was  only  a  matter  of  time  before  steve  discovered  her  full  name,  but  she’s  caught  the  brunt  of  so  many  ‘billie  jean’  jokes,  she  doesn’t  want  to  risk  anyone  overhearing  them.

          “ shh—! ”  she  shushes  him,  blue  eyes  wide.  “ keep  your  voice  down ! ”  the  expression  on  her  face  lets  him  know  she’s  serious.
