I am going as Ghoul again for event (using what make-up I had on hand because I am low on my original, grey make-up for Ghoul) and while I'm waiting to go to the event I decided to be a bit Cringe and make this.

He does have good hips though, hips and long hair, no wonder you thought he wasn't a guy.

I just got back from a end of year Canteen event. One of the activities at the end is we got to just paint whatever we want on a canvas provided.

So completely from memory, up until we were done for the night and finished painting the hat (so I can fix it next time at home)...I decided to paint/roughly draw Ghoul from Batman Beyond. No reference, completely from memory right up until the end of the the night before we had to pack up and head home. At the end when I did what I could with what we had available (some of the paints they had were unfortunately so old they were completely dry when opened and we could use some, including black, which is why I used Black marker) So I painted the hat completely brown and will be fixing up where the buckle goes, as well as finishing painting/colouring more areas and details, so this is still definitely a Work in Progress (W.I.P)

This isn't my best work, and I am still trying to continue practising my painting and drawing/sketching (particularly of Ghoul right now, I have done a few rough and not great sketches in my sketchbook that I haven't posted yet 😅) but for what it is, and creating this from memory alone, I am still quite proud of it. Everyone else at the little event liked it a lot too :)

Still throwing way schway Halloween parties, that’s how. A night at the club just isn’t the same after you spend it curbstomping the undead: if the bass wasn’t rattling their bones, my boots sure did.

Gotta hand it to Miss Harleen, she can throw down like a pro. We were going to go perform some entirely legal Saturday morning quality hijinks, but plans change. Ice cream in a K-Mart parking lot was a good cool-down after things re-died back down.

Ghoul 

Stewart Carter Winthrop III was a teenage delinquent who heralded from a prestigious family.  Stewart demonstrated a terrific acumen for technology and computer programming, but had little interest in applying his skill in a productive fashion. Instead he fell in with the street gang known as The Jokerz.  Taking on the alias of ‘Ghoul’ Stewart wore a costume that appeared an homage to the old Batman foe known as The Scarecrow.     

Although not an especially formidable fighter, Ghoul more than made up for it with his technological abilities.   When his faction of the Jokerz were taken over by a mysterious man who appeared to be a resurrected Joker, Ghoul was essential in helping The Joker locate the specialized technology needed for his overarching plan.  Fortunately, Batman ultimately succeeded in defeating The Joker and the villain’s team of teenage minions were all arrested.  

Actor Michael Rosenbaum provided the voice for Ghoul (doing his best Christopher Walken impression).  The young villain appeared in the animated feature, Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker.

Huge Ethan head canon dump

Ethan grows up to be Gotham's weird helpful uncle and since Clarisse ( His future daughter) goes into the medical field instead he names  Stewart Carter Winthorp III (Ghoul) the heir to a good chunk of his money and to his company Vicform.

Ethan Cobblepot was 1000% bullied when he was younger about being too girly and he will 1000% deny the claims of ever being bullied.                     

Ethan's a pescetarian

Ethan can't handle spicy food.

Ethan doesn't like Christmas because it distracts/takes away from his birthday.

When Oswald dies peacefully of old age, Ethan is very upset about it. How dare Oswald get such a peaceful death after all he's put him through???

Ethan knows more about makeup than he'd ever want you to know. He can also walk properly in high heels.  

A big reason Ethan grew up hating Oswald was because of the things he heard the he did to his mother. His young brain honestly made what actually happened and blew it out of proportions.  So much so, Ethan also grew a dislike for 'gross old men' and 'foolish girls'. He had internalized homophobia from the hidden fear that some men would use him like they did his mom. These things Ethan still doesn't fully realize to this day.

Ethan grew up around a lot of women in the beginning because she kept trying in pageant for a little while after he was born and the local moms in the town they moved to took pity on the single mother.

as soon as After accident Ethan is healthy enough to start walking a little bit. That's when he starts wearing the helmet/face mask. He didn't want anyone looking at what had become of his face. In fact, he tried to keep all skin cover at all times possible.

Ethan gets addicted to pain pills after the accident.To punish and help break Ethan, Oswald would stop giving him pain medication. Just let him groan and scream all night in his sound proof room.

A meet cute with Ghoul 🫶

Parties. As much as his getup conflicts with, he hates them. All the dancing and drunk teenagers in New Gotham making him sick. He much preferred the heist that him and his team were doing.

That is of course, until…

“Hey. You probably get this a lot, but…your costume looks really amazing..”

He turned and locked eyes with you. You didn’t look too very dressed up for the party either, and you weren’t *thrilled* from what he could tell.

“Oh, uh…thanks, I guess…I uhh…made it myself…”

“Sweet. Dude if I had the skilled you do, I promise no one close to me would even be able to recognize me. You’ve got talent.”

“Thanks, again…I’m also a chemist, sorta.”

He saw your face light up and listened as you asked questions. He…actually didn’t want to hurt you during this heist, that’s why he suddenly grabbed you and took you out of the building, seeing his buddies run in with their respective gear.

“Look I know you’ll hate me after this but you gotta stay put now. If any of them find you, tell ‘em you’re with me.”

“What the…wait who even-“

“Ghoul.”

“Huh? Is that your…real name?”

“…no, but I can’t tell you that yet. Gotta keep you around long enough to find out.”

He looked around then took out somethings from his pumpkin basket, putting them in your hands. As you look down, you see some candy (although it doesn’t look like anything you’ve seen on the shelves before) and a weapon.

“Stay here until we’re done. Soon as Batman shows up, I’m running out here to you. If you don’t see me by the time he gets here, you run. There’s a tracer in that gun and I’ll be able to find ya. Don’t get hurt, okay?”

You blinked in surprise but nodded slowly.

“…why are you doing this..? You don’t know me…”

“…yea, but…I could.”
