well my biggest thought is that i can’t wait to see how season three plays out. i obviously know how the books go but jenny han said she might make big changes so i’m excited/nervous. the rest of my random thoughts are in a list below.

thoughts on season two, aka the summer i turned petty

1. chris knocked it out of the park this season. everyone did great but to me he was mvp.

2. i do not see what everyone (jelly fans) sees with that make out sesh on conrad’s car. it looked like teen lust with nothing else behind it. it’s giving we’re throwing everything away on a crush and i hate it. i am obviously biased though so…

3. susannah!!!!!!! i’m a wreck just thinking about it. and the use of bigger than the whole sky?? i can’t talk about it.

4. *stomps feet* steventaylor steventaylor steventaylor *war cry* “i've always had the power, like, in relationships, because i care less than the other person. but with you, i just, i care too much” i mean COME ON!!!

5. i wish susannah had been more attentive to jere while he was feeling all butthurt mourning his thing with belly. like i told you before, i understand why susannah was so distracted (cancer) and why she was so happy about belly and conrad (she’s wanted it for practically their whole lives, she knows it’s what they both want, she knows conrad will be taken care of, etc.) but jere deserved the same consideration and i don’t feel like he got that.

6. the final episode is just so dramatic and i kind of wish the season had ended with conrad walking up on them making out after his test. not like a cliffhanger but just skip from that to the end of the episode where everything is wrapped up. as much as i personally enjoyed petty conrad and him attempting to fight for her (even if he took it back) it just didn’t feel in character for him. i want suffer in silence so bad you get an ulcer kind of angst y’know?

7. i wasn’t a huge fan of the aunt julia/skye subplot. it wasn’t in the books and it just felt unnecessary. my sister and i were so worried that their falling out was going to be about susannah not accepting skye or at least not speaking up for them when her husband said something assish and that would have ruined susannah’s character so much. i’m glad we were wrong even if the actual reason was so anti climactic.

8. everything leading up to prom was perfect. the stars. the laundry room. the math. the cocoa. just everything. more of that in the future please.

there’s more i’m sure but that’s all that’s coming to me right now. tell me your thoughts when your head is feeling less full please!!!

Allen Ginsberg Fotografier 1947-87, a selection curated by Hanne Shapiro in consultation with the photographer, (and published, in 1987, on the occasion of Allen’s show at AROS (the Aarhus Art Museum) by the small Danish publishers, Klim – & long out of print – (it was the very first, of Allen’s photography books) – has been, recently, happily revived and reprinted.

A facsimile edition of the book, a collaboration between the three publishing houses Roulette Russe, Forlaget Olga and Forlaget Bangsbohave/Galleri Tom Christoffersen, appeared alongside an exhibition of Allen’s photos at the Tom Christoffersen Gallery in Copenhagen this past June. Aside from 46 annotated images, the book contains three illuminating essays on Allen by Danish poet and Beat aficionado, Peter Laugesen.

The latest Doctor Who Short Trip From @bigfinishprod showcases what I’ve come to love about the format: it pretty much tells the adventure from the point of view of an outside character, rather than the Doctor and his companions. It’s fun, seeing the story from a different perspective and not necessarily being given all the information right from the start. Also, since I’ve started taking voice acting lessons, I’m learning a lot from these stories, since they are basically single-reader audiobooks. I can hear a variety of different readers and how they approach narration and dialogue from different characters.
