My Pink Diamond design as shown in Chapter 3 and 4 in the Jasper flashbacks. As based on the murals of her all over the original show. It's based off the headcanon I had that Pink would use her spiky haired form as yet another disguise whenever she had to make important announcements or whatever in front of her court (basically using her shapeshifting abilities to stretch herself out to hide the fact that she was a defective Diamond). Considering she is practically microscopic in comparison to Blue, Yellow and White Diamonds.

She's still only about half the height of Blue and Yellow but she DOES add a good 10 feet or so to her true Pink Diamond height (like, in my headcanon, I imagine this form she actually goes up to Blues and Yellows elbows maybe vs her true form I imagine she's only at their knees or some shit) And then white it's like- either knee or hip height in this form, and like- whatever that is in her true form but ye- Anyways, here's the fullbody of what I think this form could have looked like/does look like in my silly little AU/comic

I did make one AWFUL mistake though! She was supposed to be right next to blue, nearly touching, (omg bellow) but she's way too much in the middle, this also ruins my plan of having white diamond next to her!

Hi guys! It's been a while since I've posted here instead of on @myrandomsuaus but I haven't forgotten about this au. I've been all over the place with fandoms and just life in general so I thought I'd finally get around to making some actual art for this au. I know it's still in the planning stages and not everything is figured out, but this is one thing that is for certain. Purple Diamond has a mural just like the other diamonds, but has been lost and damaged over time. Maybe it'll be found once again, maybe it'll stay forever lost and forgotten. Who knows, I won't tell >:3c

To be honest, I meant to make this a long time ago, but things got in the way so it ended up just being a sketch concept for a long time. Now it is here! Originally it was just going to be a fun little extra thing I made just to have, but I've decided that it would actually be apart of the bigger story. What is the lore for it? Well that's for you to figure out >:3c

I will say the final piece is actually different from what I had for the concept piece and I really like how it turned out. I really hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

A Steven universe AU in the year of our Lord 2025?

(holy kerfuffle I drew this back in November & just now made touched it up digitally 💀)

An AU where pink finally "Grows up" & alters her form to look like her mural. This takes place 1,000yrs in the future after she's fully colonized earth, she's allowed to keep her zoo.

Rose was more immature as she got her colony before "breaking" pink pearl, so her colony was much more of a game to her. This Rose wasn't a gem fighting for freedom and individualism, she was a child rebelling against her parents to get a kick out of their reaction (basically).

Rose starts her "Rebellion" w/ pink pearl, spinel & Jasper (after she emerges). When the time comes that the rebellions stomped out she has an outburst & cracks Pink Pearl's eye. The diamonds have none of it, this pink is locked in the tower for a very very long time, her colony is temporarily postponed, pearl taken, & spinel poofed.

Back in 2016/2017 I made a series of drawings featuring mostly LoliRock characters in a style inspired by the diamond murals from Steven Universe. Captain Shalala is so cool she inspired me to make another one of these murals for her!!

Third section look familiar? ^^ It’s not entirely screen accurate, there were some aquamarines I took out and some red lumps I added in (and I basically redesigned the entirety of the Homeworld background AND moved everyone from the top of the legs to the bottom) so before anyone says “That’s not accurate to the show >:T” TOO BAD because the editable file deleted itself so this is all you’re getting >:)

We know that Pink Diamond led the rebellion as her alter ego, Rose Quartz. As we saw in the previous page, Condor had the suspicion that Pink was somehow involved, or did not detest the rebel efforts. And, a few thousand years later, she found out that Pink was indeed involved – she WAS Rose Quartz. For a rogue like Condor, who was loyal to both her Diamond and the love she found on Earth, this was the best possible outcome. Pink was never her enemy – it was only the other Diamonds.

And even after Era 3, they still are. But more on that later.

(Also the main room of the armoury may look slightly different… that is because I realised how plain it looks earlier in the chapter and realised it should have those star charts so YES those are supposed to be there – the mural, however, is meant to be different… but I’m not sure if I should leave it as those boring hibiscuses. Maybe the gem who paints those changes them regularly? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

(Also I think this is our first glimpse of Condor and 83's personal/non-work relationship... late Chapter 3 we'll see even more ^^)

I know I'm insanely late to the game with a Steven universe fan theory, (spoilers if u haven't watched)

But what if pink diamond had pigtails? Or at least space buns? now looking at her mural and everyone's flashbacks, she has very puffy, short hair. It's not styled at all. We have no reason to believe that she looked anything different than that.

But consider the pearls. The only ones we see are the diamonds pearls. Yellow and blue pearl greatly resemble their owners. Similar hair style, similar clothes style, same gem placement. Pearl the crystal gem has the same color and gem placement as white, but I dont remember if it was ever official. However, she was not Pink diamonds first pearl. Volleyball was.

We see flashbacks and testimonies of Pink diamond before she had a colony. She was childish, bratty, and out of control. We also know that she was much smaller than the other diamonds, and her place in the "family" was the young child. There are speculations that she was imperfect or defective or whatever, but we're gonna ignore that.

So here it is: what if Pink diamond *used* to have pigtails when she was new/young? She is known for being rebellious and the first diamond to ever change and grow over time. So what if her appearance changed with her?

Pink was still shown to be toddler-esque from what volleyball said, throwing screaming fits when she didnt get her way. Volleyball, presumably her first pearl would have been assigned to Pink when she first emerged. Pearls, taking the appearance of their "owners" could have meant that Pink had hair very similar to Volleyball or possibly Spinel.

Spinel is more of a stretched theory, but, she has the same gem placement and similar outfit to pink. Based on the pearl song in the movie, (presumably) Spinel are also "owned" gems designated to entertain their owner. So let's say that Pink is a whiny little new gem who trashes stuff and needs to kept occupied and out of the way. Shes gifted a spinel who is meant to look like her at the time she was gifted.

So let's say that she outgrew spinel and changed her hair or possibly even get proofed andreformed, because we already know the diamonds used force with eachother (Yellow electrocuting Blue in the movie) causing her to reform and drop them?

TLDR Volleyball has pigtails. Spinel has pigtails. They were both young Pink's gems and share alot of other traits in common. Therefore, Pink probably had pigtails when she was young.

If there is ever a good example of how to world build and do it so well that the audience can tell details that are revealed much later in the text, it has to be Steven Universe.

Consider this, by the time of Jailbreak, people who had paid attention to the backgrounds knew few things; In older gem structures there are four diamonds present. But in newer structures, only three are present. We were also told that there is a gem called Yellow Diamond and one of the diamond shapes present in both old and new symbols was yellow. Cue the fandom figuring out three things; -There are more diamonds than just Yellow. Each is based on a colour. -There used to be four diamonds but now there are only three.

-The lost diamond is pink in colour and the former Crystal Gem leader was called Rose Quartz. From there, it was easy to assume Rose had something to do with Pink Diamond's loss. Many theorized that Rose might even BE that diamond.

Remember, we were only told that A Yellow Diamond existed. The rest was ALL based on symbols in the background which no character commented the difference of. From there, it was a slow trickle of information (The murals in "It would have been great" gave us the looks of the present diamonds, The Answer gave us a glimpse on Blue and eventually Message Received showed us Yellow Diamond in full.) What made this all work, was that the backgrounds never lied. The characters did, but you could trust what was shown in murals and such.

The fun part was that people did not wait for the show to reveal Blue, Pink and White. There were fan versions of all three for years before they were revealed. There is even an old tumblr post dedicated to various theories what White might look at. And, once more, all from clues found in the background.
