Do u think you'll ever create amazing Buddie photo manips like u used 2 in the Sterek fandom??? Ur stuff is phenomenal.
Please, you flatter me 🥰
Truth is I haven't felt the need to make any manips like that for Buddie. Probably because the scenes we get with them in canon are already spectacular. I doubt a manip would ever capture the same raw emotions.
But! I still like creating edits for my fics. Did a subtle vampire!Buck manip for my vampire fic, and there's quite a few pics included within my to be found fic. It's nothing as flashy as what I used to do with sterek, but.
And if I do move forward with my idea for a zombie apocalypse AU, I'll definitely make some kind of edits for that one as well. I love providing visuals!!

Sterek Resident Evil 3 AU (spoilers ahead).
Beacon Hills is thrown into chaos when the outbreak of a biochemical weapon called T-virus causes a zombie apocalypse. Former Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) member Derek Hale is attacked in his apartment by an intelligent bioweapon known as Nemesis, who is programmed to kill all remaining members of S.T.A.R.S. who witnessed Umbrella’s experiments, which means, he’s out to kill Derek, and he won’t stop until he does.
Derek manages to get away, but not for long. He runs into Nemesis again, and despite his best efforts he can’t outrun Nemesis. Derek is saved by flirty Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) mercenary Stiles Stilinski.
Stiles takes Derek to the group of surviving U.B.C.S. mercenaries – Chris Argent, Scott McCall, and Theo Raeken – who have a plan to use the subway trains to evacuate surviving civilians from the city.Chris knows about Derek, knows about his record as a member of S.T.A.R.S, about how he’s the ‘elite of the elite’, leading to Stiles teasingly calling him ‘supercop’. Chris was wounded in a fight when his platoon had been ambushed and so, he asks Derek to help them get the civilians out. Derek agrees to help them, but he tells them he’s doing it for the people of Beacon Hills, not Umbrella.
Stiles gives him a radio for them to keep in touch while he and Scott remain in the city to search for Dr. Alan Deaton, an Umbrella scientist who might know how to make a vaccine for the T-virus and save the city. Before they leave, Stiles promises that he won’t die. They split up and head out. As Derek sets out to reactivate the subway power, Derek runs into Nemesis, but something about him seems different. Derek manages to get away from Nemesis and reactivates the subway’s power.
As Derek, Theo, and Chris depart in the train, Chris expresses his suspicions towards Theo about how their platoon was ambushed by zombies. Nemesis suddenly attacks the train and kills the civilians; Theo locks Chris and Derek out, forcing them to defend themselves. Nemesis grabs Chris, who sacrifices himself by detonating an explosive, causing the train to derail. Derek escapes as the only survivor of the crash.
Stiles and Scott travel to the city's police department, where they plan to find Deaton. They find a video message from Deaton, informing them that he is at a hospital. Meanwhile, as Scott traces Deaton’s location, Derek escapes the wreckage of the derailed train only to be again pursued by Nemesis who is now heavily mutated.
Derek radios Stiles and fights the monster. He runs out of the subway station and into the centre of town, trying to outrun the creature. Nemesis grabs him. Derek fires up at a chain holding an iron gate, dropping it on Nemesis’ arm and severing it; freeing himself. As he backs away, Nemeisis mutates, reaching through the iron bars and stabbing Derek with a spike.
Derek pulls the spike from his arm but he’s too late; he can feel the infection spread as t-virus courses through his veins. He collapses, and as he falls unconscious he hears a familiar voice; “Thank you, Mister Hale. You’ve been very helpful.”
Stiles finds him hours day later and carries him to the Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital, where Deaton is hiding. Stiles sets Derek down in a room where he’ll be safe and fights his way through the infested hospital, trying to find Deaton and the cure that could save Derek’s life. But when he finds Deaton, the man has been murdered. Stiles finds a video from Deaton confessing that the T-virus was engineered by Umbrella, and despite Umbrella hiring him to develop the vaccine, Umbrella's board now wants to destroy it and eliminate all traces of the virus' existence. Stiles retrieves the vaccine and administers it to Derek. Scott arrives at the hospital and they realise that the government plans to destroy Beacon Hills in a missile strike to eradicate the T-Virus infestation. They come up with a plan and Stiles travels to the NEST 2 lab underneath the hospital to find more vaccines while Scott tries to contact whoever he can to try and stop the missile strike.
Derek wakes up a day later, sitting up in the hospital bed and listening to the announcement about the missile strike. Scott tells him about their plan—he’d managed to get a hold of someone and they agreed to call off the missile strike if they can get the vaccine before the missile is launched. Derek and Scott set out after Stiles.
They encounter Theo, who not only survived the crash, but is revealed to be a supervisor hired by Umbrella to observe and collect data from attacks of several bioweapons, including Nemesis. Nemesis crashes through the building, mutated, and kills Scott. Scott shouts at Derek to run, and he does. Nemesis pursues Derek throughout the lab and manages to get away from Nemesis long enough to synthesize the vaccine. He runs from Nemesis, the metal walkways that run along the top of the lab breaking. Derek loses his footing, grabbing a hold of the railing before he falls. He vial rolls to a stop at the feet of the man who towers over him. Theo picks it up, telling Derek that he’ll return it if Derek puts up a good enough fight for him to finish his data collection on Nemesis.
He stomps on Derek’s hands, dropping him to the lower floor of the lab; an arena to fight Nemesis.Derek tries his best to fight off Nemesis, when he hears a familiar voice over the PA system: Stiles.
Stiles helps Derek fight the creature, calling out where he is and using the large crane to knock him aside. He tells Derek to get on the crane, lifting him out of danger as he floods the lower level with a vat of poison designed to dispose of any biological waste. But Nemesis mutates.Stiles tells Derek there’s a helicopter on the roof of the hospital that they can use to escape. Derek tells Stiles to go after Theo and the vaccine, fighting off Nemesis for the last time.
He runs to the roof, only to be knocked aside and disarmed by Theo. The man tosses the vaccine vial to the ground beside Derek and shoots it.
“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” Derek shouts.
“Don’t know; don’t care. I’m getting paid to clean up the mess; to hide Umbrella’s involvment. And that includes you,” Theo admits, taking aim at Derek.
Stiles tackles Theo, wrestling with him as they both fight for control.
Stiles restrains him, shouting at Derek to shoot him.
“I can’t, I’ll hit you!”
“Do it!”
Derek fires.
The bullet tears through Theo’s shoulder, knocking him to the ground.
Derek runs to Stiles’ side. Stiles lets out a groan as he sits up, pulling the crushed lead from the small dent in his Kevlar vest. He flashes a smile at Derek and says “I promised you I wouldn’t die on you.”
Stiles gets to his feet, telling Derek they have to go.
Theo tries to bargain with him, offers to tell him who he works for and pay them whatever they want if he survives.Derek turns his back on Theo, climbing into the helicopter. They escape the city minutes before the missile strikes, destroying Beacon Hills. Derek sits back in his seat, looking down at the broken piece of the vial that had held the vaccine and vows to take down Umbrella.

And The Dead Follow ~ Part 3
Ao3
~ Derek’s POV ~
You can learn a lot about someone in two weeks. Two weeks spent only with one person, walking through a dead world, the two of you each other’s only company. But Derek was finding that you could be alone with someone for two weeks and not learn much at all.
Stiles liked to talk. He’d talk and talk and talk all day, always keeping his voice down. Every now and then slipping. When he slipped, he went silent. But only for a time.
Derek had been listening to him talk for two weeks and still felt like he didn’t actually know much. About a week in, Derek realized that this was, in fact, a purposeful thing. Stiles could talk and talk about anything and everything. Everything but himself. His past.
Truth be told Derek didn’t mind much. Stiles’ talking after so much silence was a constant reminder that he wasn’t alone. Stiles had pointed out that Derek didn’t say much himself, multiple times. But Stiles didn’t seem to mind that much either.
There was something about this kid. Something about the way he carried himself, so sure but ultimately so clumsy. His legs stumbling over things like a deer just learning to walk. But it was as if he’d learned to use that to his advantage. He learned to move the way he did and still remain quiet. He could flail and fall and make only the bare minimum amount of noise. Derek had never met such a quiet human. But there something else.
His bat.
Something about that silver bat made Derek uneasy. Something about the way it shimmered in the sun. But more how it shimmered at night. Like it was soaking up the moonlight and casting it out again, as if the bat itself was creating the light. Derek was sure he was missing something. Sure that this something was probably completely obvious. But anytime he got near it, Stiles moved it away. He did so subtly, gently. Like he had just decided to move it in that moment. Derek was sure that if he could just get his hands on it, or even smell it, he could figure it out. But all he could smell so far was blood. The coppery smell filled his nose whenever he tried to smell anything else so he gave up. But tried to keep the bat in view at all times.
Stiles made that easy for him. He was constantly letting Derek walk a few paces behind him. He’d mentioned something about Derek having his back. His voice flippant, that sly smile reaching his eyes as he turned away from Derek. Derek was glad. It made him feel useful. Even if Stiles was just joking an excuse.
~***~
Derek walked behind Stiles, his mind not on the bat, but on the sky. The moon had been growing every night. Tomorrow was the full moon and Derek was more worried than he had been since he was kid. He’d been alone since this all started. The moon felt stronger now. Like it was beating down on him and him alone. Like it was challenging his wolf to come out and play. Derek didn’t like to think about his wolf playing with Stiles. Or what Stiles would do if he knew. That Derek wasn’t a man. At least not completely. And least of all tomorrow night.
He remembered how afraid people had been at the end of it all. When the wolves couldn’t hide anymore. There weren’t enough people left to blend in. People figured it out quick once the dead began coming back to life. It was like a veil lifted. If the dead could walk, then all sorts of other things could be hiding in the dark. Everything changed. The humans’ eyes were opened and they couldn’t be closed. The few wolves Derek knew disappeared fast. And Derek? Derek just ran. He ran and ran and ran. Right into Stiles.
And now he had to decide if he needed to start running again. Or if he could stay with this odd human. This boy who kept a bloody silver bat on his back and who often smelled sad when he smiled.
~ Stiles’ POV ~
Stiles had been thinking about the moon a lot. And what it meant for the man he was sharing his days with. It was affecting the wolf more the he seemed to realize. Stiles had woken in the night to see Derek curled in on himself, his claws digging into his own arms as he struggled with whatever was going on in his head. Stiles wasn’t exactly sure how to bring it up. He knew the guy thought he didn’t know. Had seen him trying to hide things several times. But if helping Scott with his wolf had taught him anything, it had taught him to see things that wolves didn’t want him to see. His father had informed him all his life of just how annoyingly perceptive he was. Stiles smiled at the memory and made a hasty decision.
“Let’s stop for lunch man I’m starving.” Stiles said, walking a few more paces and then tossing his pack on the ground, his bat ringing when it struck a rock. Stiles kicked his things to the side gently and threw himself on the ground. Derek sat down gently across from him. Stiles was happy to see that he’d come a bit closer still today. He been sitting so far from him at first, Stiles had felt like he had to yell to be heard. Even though he knew Derek could hear him perfectly well.
He handed Derek some of the Jerky he’d had stashed in the bottom of his bag and they passed Stiles’ water bottle back and forth. They’d been looking for more supplies for Derek, but hadn’t come across any good scavenging yet.
“Are you gonna be okay tomorrow night?” Stiles asked, blunt as always. He watched the man freeze. His arm frozen in the air as he’d been handing Stiles back his bottle. He said nothing. Just stared at Stiles. Stiles reached out slowly, his fingers brushing against Derek’s, making him flinch. Stiles lifted his other hand, palm out, in a calming gesture, as he took the bottle slowly and set it down.
“Maybe I should clear the air?” Stiles raised his eyebrows. He watched Derek’s throat move as he swallowed hard, and then watched him nod. Stiles nodded back.
“Okay. I know you’re a wolf. And I’m not gonna hurt you. But I need to know if you’re gonna hurt me. Only when the moon is full, I mean. I know you won’t hurt me when you’re in your right mind. You’ve proven that. But the moon, it can really fuck things up.” Stiles widened his eyes for emphasis, Derek nodded again, his eyes wide, he looked years younger.
“Yeah. So I need to know. Are you gonna be okay tomorrow night? Or do we need to make a plan?” Stiles took another bite and chewed slowly, not staring back at Derek. He didn’t want to intimidate him. He wanted him to feel safe. He deserved that much at least.
“How did you-“ Derek’s voice cut off and he coughed.
“Your eyes were glowing when I pulled you out of the trap dude. Your claws were out too. There have been… other things. But those were the dead giveaways.” He smiled sadly and shrugged.
“The whole time? You’ve known the whole time?” Derek sounded winded, like he’d just run a mile. Or farther. Probably farther, Stiles had run miles with him and never heard him this winded.
“Yeah. I didn’t know how to tell you. And I didn’t know if you’d trust me if I just came out and started talking about you being a werewolf. And I wanted you to trust me. I think I needed you to.” Stiles said, his brow furrowed. He hadn’t meant to say that much but it was all on the table now.
Derek was silent for a long time. Stiles stared at the ground.
“I trust you.” Derek said, well, whispered. Stiles barley heard him, but he did. And his body relaxed at the words, letting go of a tension he’d been trying not to show. He looked up and Derek was staring at the ground now.
“Good. Derek look at me.” Derek shook his head. Stiles sighed.
“Derek, please?” Derek didn’t move. Stiles nodded to himself.
“That’s okay. Just listen then. Cuz I need you to hear me. Okay? I need you to really hear me.” He took a deep breath, Derek was still staring at the ground but Stiles could tell he was listening hard.
“I trust you too.” Stiles said. Derek’s eyes moved up finally, he was looking at Stiles like he wasn’t sure what to make of the man in front of him. Stiles snorted.
“Yeah. I get that look a lot. Or… I used to, anyway.” He shrugged, took a bite, and looked away again. He was watching the leaves sway in the breeze, the sun shining down through them hurting his eyes a bit, but he couldn’t look away. He could feel Derek looking at him and he didn’t want to look at that either.
“How do you know about werewolves?”
There it was. The questions Stiles didn’t want to answer. But knew that he had to. The question he’d really been avoiding all along. Because that question led to other questions. He sighed again and looked into is lap.
“Derek…”
“Please?”
Stiles looked up at the sound of his voice. He looked wrecked. And confused. And Stiles knew he owed him at least this.
“My best friend was a werewolf. He got bit by an alpha our freshman year of high school. We went through a lot of shit after that. Hunters. Druids. Banshees, though she was on our side. Just a bunch of supernatural shit.” He picked up a stick and broke it into little pieces.
“Ya know how people say high school is supposed to be the greatest years of your life? Well I always thought that was bullshit. And then I was actually in high school and I was right. High school fucking sucked.” He picked up the little stick pieces and tossed them into the trees to the right.
“Hunters?” Derek asked, he looked…worried, Stiles was pretty sure that’s what that look meant. Stiles took a deep breath, and nodded, his body tense. That old ache in his shoulder pulsing. He rubbed at his shoulder, pressing his fingers into the ache, harder than he should, making it worse probably. The pain kept him calm.
“Yeah. Hunters. There were a lot of them in our town apparently. Or maybe they just congregated there after shit went to hell. But they were there. Before the end, and after. They were always fucking there.” Stiles sighed and rubbed his hand across his mouth, hung his head low, and waited for the question he knew Derek was gonna ask next.
“What was their name?” his voice was hollow. Stiles closed his eyes, his past beating against his eyelids as the sun shown through them, and shook his head. He stood up quickly and shoved his things back in his bag.
“It doesn’t matter.” He threw the pack over his shoulder, grimacing a little, and tried to walk away. Derek was on his feet before Stiles could blink, his hand wrapped around Stiles’ arm, holding him back.
“It does. What was their name?” he sounded frantic now.
“Argent!” Stiles screamed. His chest was tight and he felt Derek’s hand fall away from him.
“Their name was Argent.” He watched Derek fall apart and then force himself back together in the span of a few seconds. Stiles’ hands were shaking. He couldn’t make them stop. Never could.
“What happened?” Derek’s mouth barely moved.
“What do you think happened?” Stiles asked, not able to keep the venom out of his voice.
“Same thing that always happens when there’s Argent’s around.” Stiles huffed and took a few steps before turning on his heel and looked at Derek. He could feel the tears stinging his eyes.
“Everyone died.” He said, lifting and dropping his hands, palms out. He smiled as the tears fell and turned and walked into the trees.
He walked for a long time. No sound at all behind him. He knew he could have handled that better. But he hadn’t talked about it. To anyone. Well, he’d talked about it with one person. And they’d betrayed him in the end, so he wasn’t exactly a stable person, so sue him. He was lost in his head when he heard the footsteps behind him and stopped.
He waited for Derek to catch up and started walking again only to be stopped by Derek’s hand on his shoulder. He looked at Derek’s hand and then moved his eyes up to his face, his bight eyes shining through all the dark hair covering his face.
“I have one more question, and then I won’t ask anymore about it.” Stiles swallowed hard. He was scared. He didn’t know what Derek was going to ask. And he wasn’t afraid of Derek. But he knew what the Argents had done to the Hale family. He’d done his research. And so he was scared. Scared that whatever Derek asked, he wouldn’t be able to give him the answer that he needed.
He nodded.
“Kate Argent. Was she there?” his voice shaking just as hard as his hand on Stiles’ shoulder. Stiles felt the tension and fear leave him at once. He nodded slowly. Derek didn’t ask. Not out loud. His eyes widened. His hand clenched tighter on Stiles shoulder.
“She’s dead.” Was all he said. At first. Derek just stared at him, eyes wide. Like he couldn’t believe it. And Stiles didn’t blame him. She’d taken everything from Derek. Stiles didn’t blame him for needing more. In that respect Derek was lucky. Because Stiles had more to give.
“I killed her.” His voice was quiet, he’d never told anyone this. And it wasn’t like he hadn’t killed other people, he had. But this one. This one was the worst. Because he could have let her live. He didn’t have to kill her. But he had. Because he wanted to. No more complicated. No more simple. He’d been full of rage, and he’d killed her.
Stiles reached behind him, pulled his bat out slowly and let it rest across his palms gently in front of Derek.
“Allison Argent made me this. She was one of the good ones. Her dad too, Chris. She made me this, at the end, because she said she knew I’d make it, and that she wanted me to. To make it. So she gave me a little help. I don’t let you touch it because it’s silver. And it’s engraved with wolfsbane and mistletoe. That’s why it shines like it does. She didn’t make it so I could hurt innocent creatures. She made it so I would be safe against the ones who aren’t so innocent.” Stiles’ voice was shaking, the bat nearly vibrating in his hands. Derek stared down at it.
“I watched Kate and Gerard Argent and all their little lackies… kill, all of my friends. One. By one. They moved through our town like a plague. Killing everyone. Anyone who got in their way. Human. Werewolf. They didn’t care anymore. They took them all. I only made it because my dad was the Sheriff. He locked me up. But I’ve always been good at picking locks.” He smiled and wiped at his face.
“They left me alive. Kate seemed to think it was funny. Leaving me there. Surrounded by the dead. And undead.” Stiles sniffed hard. His chest felt like someone was standing on it.
“Long story short, I caught up with her later. She was by herself. Stayed behind to pick off the stragglers in the town they’d just decimated no doubt. All I had to do was talk to her. I said one word and she was mine. She just needed to know I was there. I lured her into a trap. And I killed her.” He looked up at Derek. Looked at him hard. He slid his bat back into his pack and moved his hands to the sides of Derek’s neck.
“I cornered her. I wounded her. And then I beat her to death with the bat that her niece made for me. I hit her over and over until my arms were burning and then I hit her some more. Kate Argent is dead Derek. I made fucking sure of it.” Stiles pressed his hands harder against Derek and then let him go. He nodded, he wasn’t sure if he was nodding at Derek, or if he was nodding at himself. It didn’t matter. Not really. He bit his lip and stepped past Derek. He held his breath, waiting for Derek to stop him again. Waiting to hear Derek running the other way.
He felt nothing. And heard nothing. And then Derek was following him. The leaves crunching beneath their feet as they walked further away from their past. Stiles didn’t know if Derek was trying to escape his past as much as Stiles was. But it didn’t matter. Derek was with him now. And if he hadn’t run from what he’d done to Kate Argent, he wouldn’t run at all. They walked as the sun fell behind the trees. And then walked a little longer. Stiles’ eyes once again wondering to the sky, beside him, Derek’s did the same.
They walked like that for a long time. Just two living things, wandering through a dead world, looking at the moon.

Hey! I’m looking for a Sterek fic that takes place in space. Derek is Alpha and a squad leader of Isaac, Erica, Boyd, and Scott, who are wolves. They go to a planet where Stiles and Lydia are. There’s friction between Derek and Stiles, also...zombies? Sort of? And Derek is trying to find out what happened to his sister? And it turns out the Argents have been holding Peter captive and unleashed a virus from mutated werewolf disease that caused the zombie thing? It was on Ao3 and complete.
Maybe this one?
A Wildness Warily Awakened by Etharei | 64.5K
Derek Hale and his Specialized Combat Agents Unit are assigned to B-CON Base, a research facility in the heart of the lone human settlement on planet Cali. Normally, such an isolated place would not warrant the presence of Specs - the Infection is raging across the known galaxy, after all, and zombies don’t kill themselves (unless there are no tastier alternatives at hand) - but Derek is on a private hunt for his sister. He soon discovers that the rest of his team have ties to the place as well.
It’s all just coincidence, of course. (No matter what Stiles bleats on about those.)
Also, zombies.

Here is an apocalypse au drabble for @smowkie for the January Jaunt in the @sterekdrabbles discord server! Hope you enjoy :)
---
Stiles returned to the compound with the rest of the patrol, blood of the infected still splashed on his boots and nail-spiked baseball bat, which he carried with him constantly when he was on the outside. Derek felt relief wash over him as the other man walked through the heavy metal doors. He could never rest easy when Stiles went to the outside, but he knew it was important to protect the compound from infected and Stiles craved that adventure. As soon as Stiles passed through the sanitation chamber, Derek was hugging him tightly. Stiles held his bat carefully aloft.

Keep Talking by Kedreeva
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
“Why the hell does your wristband say that?” Stiles asked, sounding panicked and angry. “Why that date, Derek? What were you in the hospital for? How did you survive it? ”
“I don’t know!” The words yanked out of Derek, harsh and desperate. He couldn’t stop staring at the date. “I don’t know, Stiles. I don’t remember anything. Please stop yelling at me.”
The line went very, very quiet, and Derek listened to the echoing sounds of something shambling in the stairwell somewhere below him. Two stories down, Stiles had said. He wondered if they could climb. He wondered if Stiles would tell him if they could. He wondered if Stiles was even still there or if he had just hung up.
“Stiles,” he said softly, sadly.
“I’m here,” Stiles answered, sounding resigned. “This is just… a lot. You were there, man. That wristband means that you were there when Scott was there. If you could just…”
“I’m sorry,” Derek said gently. “I can’t remember anything.”
Stiles sighed and Derek could hear him shifting on the other side of the com before going almost supernaturally quiet again. “You can’t… but the security cameras can,” he said slowly. “I’ve been trying to get into the locally stored data for days, but the physical link must be damaged. All I can get is the live feed, off a wireless connection. But you’re already there, you could get to the security office.”
Derek was almost positive he didn’t want to know the answer, but he asked anyway. “Where is the security office?”
“The basement,” Stiles told him carefully. “At least, I think it is. There’s a camera down there, but it got knocked off of its brace. I can see an office that I think is security.”
“You think?” Derek echoed, torn between irritation and fear. “You want me to risk my life and you’re not sure?”
“I’m sure,” Stiles said quickly. “Like, 85% sure. Besides, it’s barely a risk. I can get you around anything dangerous. Look, man… something happened in there to my best friend. I don’t know if he’s alive or dead, and it’s killing me. You’ve got to help me.”
Derek blew out a breath, hands trembling as he considered his options. There was a good chance he didn’t make it out of this building alive either way. If he helped Stiles, he had eyes all around the building, even if that meant going to the basement first, and that kind of advantage seemed like it would be healthy. On the other hand, if he said no, he had no idea if Stiles would fuck off and refuse to help him at all. He knew next to nothing about the guy.
“Hey, you need to get out of that stairwell, the two underneath you are heading up,” Stiles said, interrupting his thoughts. “If you go quick, you can get down one flight before you have to exit or fight.”
Derek shoved himself away from the wall and started down the stairs without question. The sounds of undead groaning and shuffling echoed around the stairwell, and Derek caught a glimpse of two rotting figures before he pushed open the emergency door and slipped into a darkened hallway. The sign read “Radiology” to his left and “Blood Draws” to his right.
“Which way?” he asked, as quietly as he could and still be heard.
There was a pause, and Derek knew what was coming even before Stiles said anything. “That depends on where you’re going, I guess. Down or out?”
Straight ahead, the hallway turned wide and white and welcoming. The nearest sign had a whole list of locations, obviously a crossroads. Derek closed his eyes. “If I said no, if I refused to go to the security office, would you still help me escape?”
Stiles was quiet for a long time after that. Down the way, something almost human shambled across the crossroads, ignoring Derek for how still he held. He didn’t ask again. It was a hard question, and Stiles didn’t know him. It was a hard question because Stiles didn’t know him.
“Yeah,” Stiles said, finally, though he didn’t sound pleased about it. “I want to know, but that’s not your problem.”
Derek looked down at the band on his wrist. May 16th. His brow furrowed and his jaw set for a moment before he asked: “Do you think the recordings would show me? If I was here… when everything started, I mean.”
“Maybe,” Stiles said. “If you can repair the link and figure out which room you were in, I could probably get the footage. What room does your wristband say?”
Looking down, Derek rotated the band until it showed his information. “Room 5424,” he said. Three floors down. He wondered if he could make it there, before the basement, maybe find some kind of reminder of who he was.
He heard some kind of clicking on the other end, and then Stiles said: “The feed is still up, so the camera should have got something before the disconnect. What do you say?”
Derek sighed, rubbing at his face with the flat of his hand. “Yeah, okay. I guess.”
“That’s the spirit,” Stiles said cheerfully. “So here’s what you’re going to do...”

Of course, the transfer kid gets mentioned because transfers are rare, but the news isn’t that exciting. In fact, according to Laura, no one even seems to know his first name. The only thing anyone has really figured out about him is that he’s American. And that’s not exactly hard because he obviously has an accent.
The only thing Derek really knows is that, despite other reports, he seems quiet enough, prefers to work alone, and has the most amazing shade of amber eyes that Derek has ever seen.
Not that he’s looking. Obviously.
OR: A Harry Potter AU where Stiles is a Slytherin transfer student and Derek is the grumpy Gryffindor who falls in love with him.
There are also potions, elves, and falcons involved. Oh, and illegal use of magic. Obviously.
Blind Date With A Book by thepsychicclam
(1/1 I 30,361 I Mature I Sterek)
Stiles thought the Blind Date With a Book trend was a great way to drum up business for his small bookshop. He definitely thought it was a great idea after the hot guy kept returning and buying more blind dates with books.
Derek didn't know how he kept getting set up on blind dates by his family, or why he kept going on them. The highlight of his night was when the date was over and he could go to the little bookshop in town and buy something to read for the rest of the night. He wanted to read, not date.

Stiles and Scott get summer jobs at the exclusive Seawolf Beach Resort, and the last thing Stiles expects is to start taking surf lessons from the hot lifeguard.

Pulling open his apartment door, he let out an involuntary shout when something was quite literally thrust into his chest hard enough to have him almost tip backwards. He managed to right himself while keeping hold of what had been shoved at him and looked up in time to see his neighbour striding back towards his apartment.
“You’re going to fucking kill yourself.”
His door slammed.
Stiles blinked at the other man’s door, utterly confused, and looked down at what he was holding.
It was a plastic bag, full of what felt like tupperware, which made no sense to Stiles because when had his neighbour broken into his house to steal his tupperware?
What Goes Around by KouriArashi
(16/16 I 71,451 I Mature I Sterek)
“Well,” Stiles says, “if they’re going to hunt werewolves, I’m going to hunt them.”
It’s a ridiculous statement from a ten-year-old, but he’s obviously one hundred percent sincere. For the first time since the fire, Peter feels life stir inside him, feels purpose. It’s kismet, clearly. He’ll never meet the child he would have had with Olivia. Instead he’s met this boy, this brilliant, determined, cynical child with a world of potential.
Peter kneels down in front of him so they’re at eye level. “How do you feel about doing that together?”
Stand Fast in Your Enchantments by DevilDoll, Rahciach
(3/3 I 76,956 I Explicit I Sterek)
"Stiles knew damn well what a pissed-off wolf sounded like, and every hair on the back of his neck was telling him that somewhere in this room was a very pissed-off werewolf." An AU in which Derek is feral, Stiles is magical, and they eat a lot of fast food.
Waiting by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
(2/2 I 81,018 I Teen I Sterek)
Not wanting to think on it took much, Stiles took a step forward and passed his hand between the bars, moving the bleeding side closer to Derek’s mouth.
“Not too close, he bites.”
Stiles snatched his hand away just as Derek had been about to lick at it. The snarl he got in response was not comforting.
“He what?” Stiles asked nervously, turning to Deaton.
The man looked a little amused. “Don’t worry, only if he doesn’t like you.”
“Well, he probably hates me, now!” Stiles insisted, turning back to Derek.
He looked extremely displeased.
The Moon's Gonna Follow Me Home by turningterrific
(2/2 I 82,866 I Explicit I Sterek)
Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.
He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.
Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
The Hollow Moon by thepsychicclam
(10/10 I 180,079 I Explicit I Sterek)
It's the summer after Stiles' first year of college, and he's working a crappy job and dealing with nightmares and anxiety - but he's okay, he swears. He makes it through most days without too much trouble. Then, a certain werewolf comes back into town. Which Stiles doesn't care about, nope, not at all.
After two and a half years, Derek returns to Beacon Hills with his small Pack. Though he tried to move on, something just kept drawing him back to Beacon Hills, he's just not sure what. Now, he figures he can start building something like a life - but he keeps getting distracted by Stiles Stilinski of all people.
What I Did On My Summer Vacation by grimm
(4/4 I 118,749 I Explicit I Sterek)
There's something weird about Beacon Hills that Stiles can't quite put his finger on. The way everyone in town knows his name the day he arrives. The way they insist the melancholic howling that echoes through the forest every night is just a dog. The way his dad denies getting a dog, even though Stiles comes home to find one sprawled across his bed, some big black thing whose eyes gleam red in the right light. The way that massive oak tree out in the woods vibrates under his touch, pulsing with sickly life.
There's something weird going on in this town, and Stiles is determined to get to the bottom of it.

Time Travel Fix-it Teen Wolf Fan Fic Recs Part 2
Stiles plan are the worst (the best) by Dashar
Word Count: 88782 Chapter 15/15 Sterek
Stiles world ended when his pack died. It didn’t exactly come as a surprise. He had been running with wolves for so long that within hunters and monsters it was just a matter of time. It was a surprise when the world ended too. And Stiles… Well, he had to do something about that. “Time travel,” he said in neutral tone. “Yep,” said Stiles. “Werewolves,” said John pointing at the Hales. Peter Hale made his eyes glow blue and smiled at the sheriff. Somehow the fact that one of his arms was scarred from the fire made the image more threatening than it already was. “Yep,” said Stiles again. “And you have magical powers,” said John. “Yep.” The sheriff looked at the room once more and massaged his head. “I need more coffee.”
The Future’s so Bright I Gotta Wear Shades by bittah_wizarrd
Word Count: 65106 Chapter: 20/20 Stetopher
"It’s funny. It is. It’s abso-fucking-lutely hilarious because this is the seventh time in a calendar year that Stiles has been on the run from a bloodthirsty monster and the thing that still trips him up—quite literally—is that he still hasn’t gotten any better at running through the woods."
An AU where everything he loves gets buried in the dirt, so Stiles rips apart the space-time continuum.
Fuck the Apocalypse by Whispering_sumire
Word count: 20073 Chapter 1/1 Stisaac
"This is weird," Isaac says, and, yeah. Yeah, it fucking is.
"Hey," Stiles says, clapping his hand to the other man's- boys, they're young again, here- shoulder, "we've been through worse. Can't be that bad, right?"
"Dude," Isaac says, narrowing his eyes, "my dad's alive."
"Fair, but... No zombies?"
"Ugh, touche."
[Or, the one where Stiles and Isaac go back in time to stave off the apocalypse, only to end up solving everyone else's problems.]

Word Count 46199 Chapter 25/35 last updated 01/2022 No pairing
Stiles isn't sure what the hell happened. One minute he was sleeping and the next he was standing outside Scott's house the night his friend was bitten by Peter Hale.
Weave Ourselves in a circle by AKabit
Word Count: 18035 Chapters: 10/10 Sterek
Stiles and Lydia try to cast a time loop spell but wind up with something altogether more complicated. Every action has consequences.
or
Stiles hops through time to fix everything. Sort of good Peter is sort of helpful...sometimes.
Fuck it by kiranightshade
Word Count: 6792 Chapter 2/2 Sterek
Stiles has no more fucks to give. Scott can go to hell. In fact, Scott is never going to discover werewolves in the first place. And he's certainly never becoming alpha.
In which Stiles decides they should never have stopped Peter in the first place but time travel is a tricky thing and it rarely ever goes to plan.
Vision Without action is just a dream by mynuet
Word Count: 17065 Chapters 1/1 Sterek
Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world. (Joel Barker)
Stiles has never known how to leave things well enough alone. If the root of their unhappiness is Derek losing the love of his life, then that's the problem Stiles is going to fix, no matter what it takes. He probably should have realized that things never go according to plan."

The New Normal, sterek, t, 830wc ◌ It’s an average morning for Stiles and Derek until Erica brings troubling news. [ao3]
For @sterekweek-2021, day 3: Dystopian
(Not quite your normal dystopia. All the crushing angst of the start of dystopia au's happens before this fic. This is a snapshot of living through it.)
Prologue
Blood, gore, flames, bullets, and screams from every corner of the world – entire cities turned to ash.
That’s how everyone thought the zombie apocalypse would happen.
Popular media spent decades depicting every scenario with that premise.
In reality, it was only like that for the first year.
The unread do crave brains, to a truly vicious degree – but only if you’re human. Non-human brains give off different beta waves or smells, or something, that zombies just don’t enjoy.
So, a loose network of supernatural creatures is all that’s really left, with stray humans needing to find shelter among them.
Most groups have a specialty they trade in – some have more than one, some just trade information – meeting at waypoints for exchanges.
The few packs who tried to intimidate their way through were cut off and quickly cut down.
Everyone left is trying their best to keep living while they wait for the last zombie to collapse to the ground and then the world can truly restart.
They’re just finishing breakfast when Stiles remembers there’s an exchange today with Scott’s pack for the medical supplies they need for their new arrivals. Four humans who managed to make it on their own thus far; found while Cora and Isaac were on patrol.
‘Derek, you going on the run today?’
There’s a single nod from the ever-loquacious alpha; Stiles rolls his eyes.
Stiles rarely goes on runs when they take on humans – who usually, foolishly, refuse to be turned – and he has to set up wards to protect them; more than two days and they would be coming back to the pack cleaning up a bloody mess and hoarding zombies out like particularly slow sheep.
Getting up from the table he leans in to kiss Derek’s cheek, ‘say hi to Scott for me.’
Derek’s right eyebrow lifts.
‘Not with the kiss,’ he knocks him lightly on the shoulder with his own, ‘that’s just for you.’
Derek smiles and leans up for his own kiss – Stiles may be a bit too enthusiastic returning it if the dazed expression, and his own racing heart, as they part is any indication.
‘Well, I better go. Dishes to clean. Emissary things to do.’
He nearly trips twice walking from the table to the kitchen – definitely too enthusiastic when they’re about to be separated for a couple days. Scott’s pack stay just a few hours away at the hospital but given the state of things outside and the hordes of zombies loitering the streets, it’s slow-moving; they’ll end up staying overnight.
Still nowhere near as bad as when they trade with the farther packs – it can take days to get to a meeting zone for those trades. Luckily between the vertical farming he and Lydia arranged, and the chickens that Peter somehow knew how to raise; they don’t need to trade as often as some do.
He drops his plate off in the sink, he’ll clean it later, and makes his way outside, calling out a ‘find me before you go,’ to Derek before walking out the door – and nearly running into a tense-looking Erica.
‘Hey, Catwoman, why are you creeping out here?’
‘There’s been a change of plans. The humans need to go. Today.’
Her expression is serious, her jaw slightly clenched.
‘What happened?’
‘Your dad and Kira caught them trying to steal food on their patrol last night.’ She practically spits the words out.
'Dude.’
Erica nods and crosses her arms, ‘Jackson and Peter and keeping an eye on them now.’
‘I’ll tell Derek. I’ll need to go and we’ll need to leave sooner with live cargo.’
Erica nods again and begins to stomp off – she still seems upset so Stiles interrupts her, ‘Are you ok?’
She stops but doesn’t turn around.
‘It just reminded me what happened to my dad. Humans are so selfish.’
She starts walking to the lift again before Stiles can think of anything to say to that. Hopefully, Erica’s on her way to see Boyd – they can always uplift each other.
Creeper wolf decides to finally walk out of the loft.
‘We’ll need to leave now, the undead are too active in the afternoons for your spells to hold while walking around with humans.’
He turns his head to speak to Derek without turning around.
‘They’re food thieves, Derek, not sure I care if we lose one on the way.’
Derek’s arms come around him, forehead resting on his shoulder.
‘Yes, you do. You’re just angry right now that they made Erica upset.’
Stiles holds onto Derek’s arms, his eyes closed and head tilted down against Derek’s – syncing their breathing, calming his heart rate.
‘Yeah. OK. Go collect Jackson and Peter and get the humans ready. I’ll go spell some hats to cover the walking Pringles cans’ heads.’
Despite his words, he holds on a few seconds longer; the answering purr-like growl in Derek’s chest showing they both needed this moment after hearing, and through pack bonds, feeling, Erica’s pain.

zombie apocalypse fic rec list
I Will Find You by Neeka
"Stiles was away at college when the world went to shit. He was alone, afraid and so very, very confused. But more than anything, he was determined. He just had to get home. Had to find his dad, his pack. Had to make sure they were safe."
When a rapid spreading virus breaks out, turning most of the population into mindless, undead killing machines, Stiles Stilinski has to fight his way back home. Because nothing, not even the freaking zombie apocalypse can stand between him and the people he loves.
yours was a good heart for me by stilinskisparkles
Stiles was right about the end of the world, and Derek needing something to remember him by just in case.
All In by myredturtle
Scott finally pulls a a stunt so boneheaded that Stiles can't think of any way to get him out of it. Hoping to outrun the fallout, he packs up his father and they move to Canada. Unfortunately, nowhere is safe.
Come With Me and Walk the Longest Mile by DevilDoll
"Stiles shouldn't accept rides from werewolves he meets behind abandoned convenience stores." In which the zombie apocalypse is just one of their worries.
Time is Numbered By Days by secondstar
It's been fifty four days.
Endure and Survive (To the Edge of the Universe and Back) by blindinglights
Stiles never saw it coming, not the world ending or even the zombies that came with it. Stuck at school and all alone, he had to make due with whatever he could find around the abandoned college that he decided to make his home.
Riders on the Storm by CricketsInTune
When the zombie apocalypse sweeps across the U.S., the Beacon Hills pack is disbanded, leaving Stiles alone in a town filled with the undead. When he finds Derek, all they can do is keep moving, keep surviving, because they may some of the last survivors left. They find out just how much they really need each other on their cross-country road trip that leads to home in more ways than one.
Like A Disease by dawnstruck
They don’t know where it came from.
One day there were obscure reports about sudden outbreaks of violence all over the place, violence that started spreading, like a virus, like a disease. Until one mild evening in April… it reached Beacon Hills. There were graffiti all over the town, words carved into trees and park benches, letters written in blood. And they all spelled out the same thing: Croatoan.
To Fall As Bodies Fall, For Dead by augopher
Fortune favored the prepared, or at least that's what Stiles always believed. Never did he think the emergency supplies he'd accumulated in the event of a major disaster would ever be used.
When the world goes to hell thanks to a catastrophic outbreak, their small group of survivors has to make it halfway across the country where Gerard Argent apparently built an apocalypse-proof homestead (Leave it to that horrible man to be paranoid enough before his death for it to benefit them after it).
The road won't be easy, especially because there are almost a thousand miles separating him from college and Beacon Hills. He has no intentions of letting that stop him. He was nothing if not determined.
Can everyone make it to Iowa alive, and what will it cost them along the way?
Warm Bodies by Arubi, derekstilinski
A fic based on an AU Prompt of a teen wolf version of the movie 'Warm Bodies'.
---
“So… What’s your name?” Derek asks, pushing around a canned peach with his plastic fork.
“Uh.” Is the zombie’s response, much more intelligent than he’d originally thought the corpses were. Sure, it’s not a full conversation, but this one tries. This one saved him, and didn’t eat him while he slept.
“Do you not have a name?” He asks, looking at the confused expression on the corpse’s face. Maybe he can’t remember it. Derek thinks it’s sad.
“Uh. St…Uh, I..” It tries, scratching at the buzz cut hair, foggy eyes searching the room and then Derek’s face.
“…Stuart?” He supplies, but the corpse shakes his head, nose turned up. “Steven? Stu? S…Stiles?”
“Huh?” That catches his attention, the last one.
“Stiles.” Derek nods, thinking it’s odd, but good. Like him. “That can be your name. Okay?”
Stiles does something like a smile, “Oh…Okay.”

grace’s sterek fic recs #1 - AUs
Time for a new fic rec series! I’m new to Sterek… Teen Wolf is my shiny new quarantine hyperfixation :) I’ve currently watching 3B of the show and working my way through but have blown through a truly shocking number of fics as I try to cope with 2020. Check out some fics and be sure to leave some love for the authors - leave kudos, comment, reblog them on tumblr - share some fandom love! If you love any of these too, or have fic recs for me, I’d love to hear!
I might throw in some warnings, but I don’t have many squicks, so please check the tags before reading!
I’m planning six themed posts with a handful of fics in each. To see everything I’ve recced on tumblr, which will be mostly Stucky with some Geraskier, check out #gracesficrecs on my blog. Thanks to @ao3commentoftheday for the banner!
🧡💛💚💙💜
First up we’ve got some AU’s because I love them and there’s some truly wonderful Sterek AU’s out there. These are all rated E.
Windows by @drgrlfriend is a lovely, long AU with a blind Stiles and a Derek trying to ignore his mountains of trauma (so canon Derek, basically). This one is soft and sweet and hot with lots of found family loveliness. 83k, 28 chapters. https://archiveofourown.org/works/4064446
Wild Horses by @thepsychicclam might be my fave Sterek AU. This one’s an everybody’s human AU set on a ranch. Derek is a drifter with buckets of unaddressed trauma who ends up on the Stilinski ranch and ends up staying somewhere for the first time in years. 79k. https://archiveofourown.org/works/4154790
Come with Me and Walk the Longest Mile by @devildoll is a funny, sexy, and sweet zombie apocalypse AU. I love this one a lot. Underage warning. 39k, 4 chapters. https://archiveofourown.org/works/2697935/
Okay I can’t resist one more from@devildoll because it’s too good not to rec. Love Runs Wild is a Neckz ‘n Throats (the beginning|masterpost) story. Stiles shows up to his shoot with Derek with a hickey. Chaos, and possessive!Derek, ensue. https://archiveofourown.org/works/771875
No Homo is orphaned. 84k, 12 chapters. College AU; Derek is bi, Stiles thinks they’re both straight. Miscommunication/lack of communication usually drives me bonkers but I really love this one; just be aware there’s lots of it throughout the fic if you hate it. Derek is a hopeless romantic, a Latin American Lit and Spanish double major and bi and I love him so much it's maddening. https://archiveofourown.org/works/1148039
