Sterek Dash and Lily AU - Stiles loves Christmas but this year is the first year since his mum passed away that he’s sending the holiday alone, so he gets a notebook and decides to have some fun... He plans out a message and writes clues for someone to go on a scavenger hunt through the book store to decipher the message, and he left it on the shelf in the bookstore for someone to find.

Derek hates Christmas, this year Laura is on vacation with her boyfriend, Cora’s in Mexico and there’s no amount of money anyone could pay him to spend the holidays with Peter, so he’s spending his evenings at the local bookstore browsing the shelves for something to occupy his time when he comes across a notebook. At first he thinks it’s been shelved wrong but soon realises there’s something written in it. 

Curious, he starts the scavenger hunt and very soon, the book is passed back and forth between the two of them without them actually meeting, and they start to fall in love with the person they’re writing to.
