Since Jane’s Addiction is trending, I want to remind everyone that Casey Niccoli is what gave Jane’s their magic. When she left, the magic left. Sadly, Perry has tried to erase her from Jane’s history so she doesn’t get the credit she deserves. Casey is a wonderful, strong, talented person. I just think it’s neat how taylor hawkins went from being a janes addiction fanboy that went to all their shows as a teenager to becoming close friends with them, forming side projects with them, playing on their solo records, & being the reason the original lineup got back together

Jane’s Addiction Cancel Tour

- Move comes after Perry Farrell shoved, punched Dave Navarro on stage in Boston

With 15 shows left on its reunion tour, the original lineup of Jane’s Addiction pulled the plug.

The band, in a statement, called it a “difficult decision to take some time away as a group.” But Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Eric Avery, in a separate statement, blamed Perry Farrell, his “behavior and … mental health difficulties.”

The news comes after the band cut short its Sept. 13 concert in Boston when Farrell shoved, then threw a punch at, Navarro. The frontman was subdued and taken offstage.

“Our concern for (Farrell’s) personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative,” the singer’s bandmates said of the aborted tour. “We hope that he will find the help he needs.”

Refunds will be issued for the canceled gigs.

“We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets,” Navarro, Perkins and Avery said.

“We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our hearts are broken.”
