After tucking Georgia in and kissing his husband goodbye, Stephen had to go to work. While there, he got a chance card. He had an opportunity to play a big gig in town but had to guess what type of music to bring with him. He went with current hits, which was lucky as the gig was at a trendy nightclub which wouldn't have appreciated the oldies. He earned §200 and 1 Charisma point, which isn't nothing! Well done, Stephen!

But while Stephen was away at work, Charlie went into labour. He had been through it before, of course, but it was no easy job - especially without his husband there to support him. He screamed and screamed until finally he could feel the nooboo arriving.

A short while later, they had another daughter! And, amazingly, she had blonde hair, meaning she inherited both recessive genes from her parents!

I completely expected her to have black hair so this was super exciting! We have so many black- and brown-haired Sims in town and the only other blonde nooboo so far (I think) is Bonnie Volden. This is why I would never get an equal genetics mod - I love how the genetics work in TS2 so much!*

Anyway, welcome to the world, little one! Charlie named her Cecilia Neetor and it looks like she takes after Charlie (especially around the jawline) a lot more than her sister does.

*I do actually have a genetics mod but it's SimNopke's mod which makes the recessive genes even harder to come by.

The next morning, everyone headed off to work and school independently.

Stephen was the first home and he wanted to see Charlie again so invited him over for a date while no one else was around.

Charlie agreed, of course, and they were very cute slow dancing together in front of the stereo.

Soon they were sucking face, taking the opportunity to do so before Stephen's parents got back.

However, soon enough, Hob'rth did get home and he was promoted to Lieutenant! Congratulations Hob!

Round 7 - Summer 2 (Part 2) - The Neetor Family

ROS rolled up a stock market crash for the Neetors this round, after their lottery win last time - typical! Thankfully, they only lose 19% of their funds. They also have to join the Gardening Club so that'll be fun - new NPCs! On we go!

Bethany started the round by paying their taxes and noticed the stock market crash immediately. They had lost a few thousand Simoleons but still had enough to pay their taxes so it was manageable.

She had previously decided that teaching everyone all at once was a bit overwhelming so was still rotating who came to school when. Today was the kids' day at school so she left Stephen chilling in front of the TV and scooped Octavia up to walk with her to the school.

When everybody arrived, Bethany spent some time greeting all the children. There were some new faces in her class this week but she made sure to welcome the old hands too.

And with that, it's the end of their round!

At the end of Round 11 for the Neetors, Stephen is 31, Charlie is 30, Georgia is 9 and Cecilia is 5.

The two men had even more things to celebrate once Charlie got home - Stephen's promotion and Charlie's improved art gallery! They put the girls to bed and started heavily making out.

Then, as they weren't yet sure if the girls were asleep, they decided to Woohoo in the car outside.

"I've never done this before!" whispered Charlie.

"I know! Normally it's teens who do this kind of thing, not adults hiding from their own children!" giggled Stephen.

Still, it wasn't like either of them minded...

"So tell me something you learnt today at school, Cece," Stephen asked after dinner.

Georgia started to speak, but he interrupted her. "Georgie, I know you learnt a lot but it was your sister's first day and I'd really like to hear from her this time. You can talk next."

Cece spoke up hesistantly. "Well, Granny told us that the elephant is the biggest mammal in the world!"

Georgia corrected her. "The African elephant is the largest land mammal, Cece! It's not the biggest ever!"

Cece blushed. "Well, I was close!"

Stephen nodded. "Yes, you were. Well done for remembering such a cool fact!"

The girls came home from school with some good news - Georgia was one of the top students, despite only being eight years old! And Cece had had a great first day getting to know everyone.

Stephen congratulated them both. "I'm sure you've worked very hard for that," he said to Georgia. "Keep it up!"

He made a mental note to ask his mum to make sure she wasn't being too overt with her favouritism in front of the other kids.

Cece wanted to get straight on with her homework - perhaps she was a bit jealous of her overachieving sister - so Stephen went with her into her room to give her what little help he could.

Before Charlie could even blink, the builders had transformed his gallery into a proper building! He stood outside it proudly, reflecting on the hard work it had taken to get there. Hopefully, with a bit more hard work, he'd be a proper Artist soon!

When Stephen woke up, he shared the good news of his promotion with his husband.

"That's so great, babe!" said Charlie, kissing him tenderly. "I have to go into my gallery today so you put your feet up and we'll 'celebrate' properly when I get home tonight, okay?"

Charlie made a lot of good sales at the gallery and achieved Rank 3 of the business! With a third business grant, he could finally afford to build four proper walls and move up in the world so he called the magical builders to get it done for him.

While he waited for Stephen to wake up, Charlie had some zen time on the patio doing some painting. He was really hopeful that this one might be his first ever Masterpiece. It was no Sim Gogh, but it was his own interpretation of it and he thought it was great!

Georgia made a point to ask Charlie for help with her homework early the next morning. The sun wasn't even up but she wanted to get it done.

"I'm an A student now, Dad - I can't let Granny down!"

"You don't call her Granny in class, do you?"

"No! That would be so embarrassing!"

When the school bus arrived, Georgia grabbed her little sister's hand and they both skipped outside.

"Come on! It's your first day! You'll love it!"

Stephen came back from work with a well-deserved promotion to Home Video Editor. He crept into the house quietly, not wanting to wake anyone up. He could celebrate with everyone in the morning.

He wasn't sure whether his new hours would get in the way of Charlie's ambitions with his gallery, but they'd told him his designated days off were midweek so at least he wouldn't have to worry about it tomorrow.

As always, Charlie carefully and lovingly tucked both of his girls into bed in their separate rooms.

"Is Cece coming to school with me tomorrow, Dad?" asked Georgia as her eyes fluttered closed.

"She is. Make sure you take good care of her!" he said, bending down to kiss her forehead.

That night was Cece's 4th birthday, so the Neetors put aside their sadness over Tanner to celebrate with the little one.

"Wow, Cece! Look at your cool cake!" exclaimed Georgia.

"Here you go, Cece! Blow out your candles!" coaxed Charlie. He leant over and helped her to blow them out carefully...

... and she aged up! Oh my gosh, she's so darned cute! She's got the best attributes of both her parents plus Grandpa Kyle's hair. Love it! Happy birthday Cecilia!

Stephen climbed into his car to go to work with Tanner's passing weighing heavy on his heart.

"First Squeaks and now Tanner?" He couldn't believe it. He had absolutely zero desire to be in work but he'd already skipped it to be with his family the day before and didn't have any more vacation days to spend, no matter how sad he was.

Unfortunately, later that afternoon, Grim Reaper showed up to collect poor old Tanner. It was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge. Everyone was upset as Grimmie threw one last stick upwards for Tanner to go and fetch.

Georgia turned her tear-stained face towards her dad. "I'm glad I played with him before school yesterday. He knew we loved him, right?"

Charlie smiled sadly. "Of course he did, sweetie."

The family decided to let him rest at the cemetery as they had nowhere to put his urn. Tanner came out to say one last goodbye to everyone before disappearing.
