Billie Eilish - No Time to Die 2020
"No Time to Die" is the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name. Performed by American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and written by Eilish and her brother and collaborator, Finneas O'Connell, the song features orchestration by Hans Zimmer and was produced by Finneas O'Connell and Stephen Lipson. Seventeen years old at the time of recording, Eilish is the youngest artist to have recorded a James Bond theme in the history of the franchise.
The song debuted at the top of the UK Singles Chart and the Irish Singles Chart. It became Eilish's first number-one single in the UK and made her the first artist born in the 21st century to top the chart. The song is the second Bond theme overall to top the UK chart. "No Time to Die" debuted and peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
"No Time to Die" received various accolades, including the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Song, and the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making it the third-ever and third consecutive Bond theme to win the Academy Award (after "Skyfall" by Adele in 2012 and "Writing's on the Wall" by Sam Smith in 2015). Eilish became the first person born in the 21st century to win an Academy Award.
"No Time to Die" received a total of 62% yes votes! Previous Billie Eilish polls: #10 "NDA"

Linda McCartney played on Paul's 1989 album Flowers in the Dirt (specifically the song Rough Ride). Producers Trevor Horn, Stephen Lipson, and Chris Hughes were completely besotted remember working with her:
Trevor Horn: The other thing that I remember about Rough Ride was that we brought Linda in and Linda played some really great synths. She came up with this idea for a mini-moog part. We really liked Linda. So I was pretty keen to get her on the record. She also seemed to have a really good influence on him. He really liked her, if you know what I mean. [I know] that’s a dumb thing to say, but he did. Sometimes you meet people who don’t like their wives, you know.
Stephen Lipson: She was wonderful; absolutely brilliant. I haven’t got a bad thought in my head about her. She was the best; so warm. She invited us into their lives in a really lovely way. And that was Rough Ride. And then we mixed it.
Chris Hughes: I got very close with Linda. She was great. I spent a lot of time with her, and both of them; just hanging out. The pair of them invited me around to their place and cooked supper and they were great. Linda, particularly, was wonderful.
Trevor Horn: What are my memories of it? My memories are of Linda. I’ve still got the photographs she took of me and Steve, I’ve got them up on the wall downstairs.

ZTT, the label which house Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Propaganda, was also the 80's home of Grace Jones, who is one of those people that achieved so much she's taken for granted. While she is known for her endeavours in many other fields, one must not forget she is also an incredible musician. To be honest, I think she's severely underappreciated, even though her 80's discs are fabulous. Her LP that was produced by Trevor Horn, for instance, Slave To The Rhythm is basically a collection of different variations of the title song. O.K., that does not describe it correctly, it's not a remix album, because it is one of those records that must be heard. It contains a wild concept that is paired with sonic ingenuity and it also serves as a great entry point for Mrs. Jones.

We were filming The Producers - a supergroup comprising of Trevor Horn, Lol Créme, Stephen Lipson and Ash Soan - when discussion turned to Frankie Goes To Hollywood's immortal Two Tribes, specifically whether Mark O'Toole of the band played the full, extremely difficult bassline live or not. And then, these incredible men who have made some of the greatest pop records of all time played Two Tribes - the record they originally produced, engineered and played on. And here it is.

HANS ZIMMER LIVE
Zimmer creó “suites” de algunas de las melodías más conocidas de bandas sonoras oscarizadas Ò-como Dune y El Rey León, al igual que de clásicos como The Dark Knight, X Men: Dark Phoenix, Dunkirk, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, The Last Samurai, Man of Steel, No Time to Die, Pirates of the Caribbean y Wonder Woman 1984.
Otros solistas son Andrew Kawczynski (sintetizador, percusión), Pedro Eustache (vientos), Refi (vocalista), Rusanda Panfili (voz), Guthrie Govan (guitarras), Andy Pask (bajo vertical), Aicha Djidjelli (batería), Steven Doar (percusión, teclados), Molly Rogers (voz), Juan García Herreros [Snow Owl] (bajo eléctrico), Nile Marr (guitarras), Leah Zeger (voz), Holly Madge (batería), Aleksandra Šuklar (percusión).

Which bands operate within the same principles as The KLF? I'm not talking about the sound, mind you, many Eurodance outfits have to thank them for that, I'm checking their philosophy. In that case  one can say Frankie Goes To Hollywood could be considered to be a prototype for The KLF, because Paul Morley planned to do a strategic attack on pop with them. Still, that assault never amounted to much, only a couple of good tunes and they also ended their career quite typically. Whereas The KLF self destructed themselves upon noticing where their success could take them, Frankie just stopped being popular. It's a shame, since Liverpool, their final LP, is a much more concise album than their debut. Moreover, the B-sides to its singles show us the group intended to go into other directions.
