"Frat Boy Energy"

Intak x GN! reader

Warnings: Established relationship au, swearing, Intak being whiny, Fluff fluffy fluff, that's it

Author's note: Quick little Intak drabble bc I just got into P1Harmony and wOW am I in love. Don't know how often I'll write little stories like this, but let me know if I should continue please!

“What’s a frat boy?”

“What?” You look at your boyfriend, bewildered, wondering where the hell he heard that phrase from. 

Intak plops in between you and Keeho on the couch with a huff, crossing his arms across his chest, “The other host on MNet told me I have ‘frat boy energy.’”

Keeho lets out the loudest cackle you’ve ever heard while you’re frozen, stifling a laugh, not sure how to proceed.

Intak looks confused and frustrated while Keeho stands up, still laughing. He pats your shoulder, “Good luck explaining that one.”

“Stephan Yoon don’t you dare-“ your protest is interrupted by Keeho all but sprinting to the door, laughter echoing down the hallway. 

You sigh, facing Intak with a very forced smile, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, “Hi babe, how was hosting today?” Intak keeps his gaze on you, while you try to avoid this conversation.

“Y/n, what is it and why are you so against telling me,” he whines, throwing his limbs around in a mock tantrum. You bite your lip, realizing that yes, you have a child as a boyfriend, and yes, you have to explain this to him.

You shift uncomfortably, “Well, a frat is kind of like an exclusive club with business connections for college boys in the states.”

Intak blinks, “And how is that relevant to me and why does it have an ‘energy’?”

Yes, he used air quotes.

Cringing at how to word this, you run your hand through your hair and clear your throat, “Well… the frat boys are kind of notorious for dressing very similarly, throwing parties and treating women with minimal respect…” You say the last part as quietly as you can, hoping he doesn’t ask anymore. 

Intak is quiet for a second, his eyes trained on you but you can tell the cogs are turning in his head as he processes your words. After a minute or so, he finally speaks, “So what you’re telling me is I was basically called the American version of a fuckboy…” 

Instead of answering him, you turn your attention back to your phone, prompting him to groan loudly, “Oh my god I was!”

You can’t help but laugh now at how distraught he seems by this and try to help, “Okay, to be fair, frat boy energy doesn’t necessarily mean you are one! It’s more like, the vibe you give off paired with how you dress? I don’t know, it’s hard to explain when you don’t actually know, it’s not equivalent to fuckboy vibes but like… adjacent?” 

“How is that any better?” He throws his hands up in the air in frustration, “I’m not a fuckboy right? You don’t think I’m a fuckboy, right?”

“No, Intak, I don’t think you’re a fuckboy.”

“But do I give off frat boy energy?” 

When you don’t respond immediately he shouts a quick “aish” and stands up from the couch, but you’re quick to catch his hand and pull him back down next to you, “Okay okay, I think I can explain it better.”

His grumpy look urges you to continue, “It’s like, you’re easy to talk to, you know? Like you can make friends with people really quickly and you’re always positive, and can adapt to really any type of situation with ease. It’s not necessarily a bad vibe at all! Just means you’re super friendly, and maybe a little flirty sometimes, but overall just friendly and goofy.”

He slowly nods, seeming to understand, “Okay, so I’m just… friendly?” 

“And sometimes flirty.”

“And sometimes flirty,” he continues to nod, processing, “but not a fuckboy?”

“Not a fuckboy.”

“Okay…” he perks up a bit more, “Okay! I’m okay with that!”

You laugh and pat his arm, “Okay good, so you’re not upset anymore?” 

He shakes his head, wrapping his arms around you and giving you a very wet kiss on the cheek much to your dismay.

You fake disgust and wipe your cheek, cringing at the wet feeling and your boyfriend just laughs at you, squeezing you tighter. 

From the hall, you hear the unmistakable sass of Keeho’s voice, “You do give off frat boy vibes though!”

“Yah!” And Intak is gone sooner than he came, leaving you laughing on the couch at your idiot (frat) boys.

store manager at the local sephora, he runs that shit like the navy but all his colleagues love him cause he is a good manager, he loves accessories, and does NOT play about his ube matcha* and the sweet barista who makes it, he knows they discontinued their ube flavoring awhile ago but whenever she’s there he’s somehow always able to get it, so when he hears some old woman bitch at her while he’s literally still in the middle of ordering, you can bet that broad gets the verbal assault of her life, mhm dont fuck with him

Choi ‘Theo’ Taeyang - mood board

local music store employee, he’s been there the longest, absolutely nothing will get in the way of his break, will start kicking people out 5 minutes before so he can take them on time, with the barista from the coffee cart of course, he actually met her at a gig he was playing, he stepped out for a smoke break and she starting talking to him about the type of cigs he was smoking, the same kind from Nana, some anime she was into, he was shocked the next morning when he stopped by the small coffee cart on his way to clock in and saw her there, bare faced with clear/nude piercings in for work

Choi Jiung - mood board

works at a wannabe upscale italian restaurant connected to the mall, and god is he tired, when he finally gets to take his meal break he stops to get a coffee, he paid and waited for order. when his name was called he walked up and the barista also handed him a stain stick, “you have a pretty good stain on your shirt right there” he cleans the stain and goes to give it and she just smiles and hands it back, “your uniform is white. keep it.” so he walks back and finishes up his shift, but when he’s still finishing up his side work he spots her out a window waiting in the parking lot. while it was drizzling. he sees that its not super busy and takes a step out, “sorry if this is forward, but would you like a ride home, i’m parked over there, if you wanna give me 5 minutes to head out.” he points to his motorcycle parked under a dry area by the restaurant.

works at the zumiez, loves his job, spends so so so much money at his job, the sweet barista, an acquaintance of his from high school, also loves his job, you could call her a regular, always in for non work clothes, i ❤️ boobies bracelets, shoes, and she also brings in her younger brother to spend his allowance money. is very obvious in how he feels for her, she thinks he has really good customer service, visits her on all his breaks, he also spent so much money at the coffee cart, he doesn’t drink coffee, he just buys pastries, he is currently working up the courage to ask her to hang out outside of the mall, he chickens out every time, flirting is one thing asking her out is another

Haku ‘Soul’ Shota - mood board

the pinnacle of build a bear employees, always employee of the month, the kids love his silly attitude and fun clothes and hair, the parents enjoy how gentle he is, one day keeho brings his honorary son a dirty soda and not knowing that thing would change the direction of his life literally me and in desperation for the extra sweet soda shota walked around the mall one lunch break keeping a sharp eye out for for any place that might have them, he looked at every food place, the weird snack carts, he even tried the place that specializes in potatoes, when finally he saw it, at a small coffee cart, manned by a single barista, written on a small calk sign ‘TRY OUR NEW DIRTY SODAS FOR A LIMITED TIME!’ he would go back happy now with his dirty diet dr pepper, and within the week he had worked his way through all the soda variations and was now onto adding extra syrups incase he liked those more, and when the manager of the coffee cart decided to discontinue the dirty sodas, the barista agreed to still make them as long as shota brought in the case of soda himself, they would be special for him.

THE hot topic, well actually, the hot topic was how seob felt about our sweetheart barista, because how could he fall for his childhood best friends older sister, she was two years his senior, and he was her younger brothers friend, the boy who used to cry when minecraft zombies got too close to him while he was building, the boy who she had to babysit at the carnival while their parents went and had drinks, who had to call her when he and her brother got caught underage drinking, and when she pulled up to save him there he was trying to catch his breath from crying so hard, he was terrified she’d tell him parents. while her brother held his head over a trash can vomiting and peeing himself all at once, she held jongseob and rubbed his back, “i wont tell your parents, we all did it, but i hope this taught you something. my mom almost picked up the call.” he remembers nodding in her arms while she wiped his tears and smiled, “help me get him into the car and i’ll get you guys food before you come back to ours. don’t worry my mom found her phone before i left so she should be asleep by now.” he looked out into the mall from the register right there just barely in his line of sight, there she was, he couldn’t see her piercings and she wasn’t wearing makeup but that didn’t matter. he had known her long before she wore makeup, long before she had those piercings, long before she had changed her hair to what it was now. he remembered the story of each visible scar, a small one on her nose from an otterpop her brother threw at her face when they were young. yeah she was his first love, he just hasn’t expressed it yet, but he will. soon hopefully.

*yes ik he literally went on live like 3/4 days ago saying he doesn’t drink matcha, he doesn’t work at the mall either so i say he gets to be a matcha enjoyer

Ausstellung im BelleVue BASEL mit Patrick Blank, Mischa Christen, Stephan Wittmer, 9. Mai bis 27. Juni 2021

Ein Donnervogel ruht sich gerade aus. Vielleicht ist einfach die Fähigkeit zu träumen das Benzin des Lebens? - „Stört es dich, wenn ich ein Foto von dir mache, während du malst?“ fragte ich Yoon. „Überhaupt nicht. Ich liebe es fotografiert zu werden!“ antwortete die Künstlerin. „Falls du einmal nach Korea kommst, würden sich meine Eltern freuen, wenn du bei uns wohnst“, sagte sie auch einmal. Korea ist für mich so weit weg und so exotisch, dachte ich mir dann. Jedoch sollte es (für uns Fotografen) zuerst nach Amerika gehen. Doch irgendetwas, nennen wir es einmal Schicksal, wollte noch nicht, dass wir nach Amerika reisen. Die Amerika-Reise ist so vorerst ein Traum geblieben. Auf eine herzliche Einladung des BelleVue-Teams ist das Ziel unserer nächsten Reise unerwarteterweise Basel geworden. Und unsere Amerika-Sehnsucht hat uns bei diesem mehrtägigen Road Trip nach Basel gleich im Gepäck mitbegleitet. Hier gesellen sich nun immer mehr zu uns, die auch die Amerika-Sehnsucht haben, um nicht zusagen, „plagt“. Wir danken dem ganzen BelleVue-Team, welches seinen Raum öffnet, um Sehnsüchte und Träume heraufzubeschwören! Und bei mir frage ich mich manchmal und heimlich: Wie lange dauerte eigentlich die Reise mit dem Donnervogel (amerikanisches Traumauto) nach Korea? Looking forward! these are all of my recommendations for a fun coronacation. also, please take all of the necessary safety and sanitary precautions and stay safe. while I do support a lot of things that normal Christians don’t I am one and am praying for everyone’s safety. even if you don’t believe in God that is ok.
