How do you feel about the Station 19 cancelation news? I’m shocked but not as sad as I thought I would be. Felt like they’d been flailing for a while there. I’m not sure what this means for Greys but I just started liking it again this season and would love to have 2 more seasons with the new interns before they end it. Knowing ABC they’ll try to get to 25 seasons because it’s such a money maker. I try not to compare them too much but I always thought Greys should’ve ended around season 8 but definitely by season 12. And idk if they’ve started filming already but I’m guessing that now Marina’s story will be a rush job about getting kids asap and being a family which is at least a happy if somewhat boring ending. The person I’m really excited to see get a good ending is Vic though. She deserves more than lucklastre relationships and comic relief. Also Jack. Would love for them to do something coherent with him that isn’t just about women either. What would you like to see for your favorite characters?
Hey anon, pfff where to begin?! I sure was surprised, I really didn't see it coming. Rationally speaking, I kinda get it. I mean, this is how it works; just because some shows do get many/endless seasons, it's not the norm, and 7 seasons is actually pretty decent. (One more than Private Practice, for example). Yet kinda understanding doesn't mean I don't have any thoughts or feelings about it! To start with, I feel like it's always better (to accept) when it's a creators decision, not the network's. And something else that isn't helping (at all!!) is the fact that it's all so rushed, with (suddenly) only ten more episodes. Though I do feel that ten x 40 minutes could be enough to wrap it all up (I am glad that at least they have the chance to write an actual ending), it just feels unnecessarily cruel. All in all I would lie if I'd say I'm super upset (with the chance of sounding preachy: if this year told me one thing, it's to upset about real misery and just enjoy everything else!), but it does feel like a pity - I was definitely still on board - and I do feel for everyone who's sad or upset about the news. Losing something you deeply love is never great, and though there will be other shows and ships, that's just not something most people want to hear right now, so to all of them I can only say: hang in there! (And please do enjoy season 7. It's not over till it's over!)
I personally don't think any of this will effect Grey's (PP didn't either). Who knows, it might even mean that Carina (finally) becomes a regular on there? She sure deserves it, though I'm going back and forth with actually wanting this, which has more to do with Maya or more so: Danielle. I wouldn't want her to be "stuck" on some guest appearance once in a while (or worse: them not knowing how to integrate her, like they's been struggling with Stefania/Carina on S19). So yeah, I see options, but I also have moments where I feel like I can actually be okay with.... I don't know... them moving to Italy (pregnant, for all I care, since it ends anyway and I know it would make people happy).
About the others. Well, I think they're getting full circle with Andy as captain, so at least there's that. I'm with you about Vic, I want her happy and not because of some dude. I guess the key for her will be crisis one. Same with Jack, he deserves happiness, and also a lot more acknowledgement (yes he can act like an idiot, but that doesn't mean he is one). When the show started he was actually doing fine as LT and this close to becoming Captain... so maybe he could (also) become one after all, albeit at a different station? I do like some blossoming romance though, this is that kind of show after all, so for that I'm thinking Travis - I would really like to see him find The One.
And besides all this? I just want fire. A whole lot of fire! And fun. Like... calendar and bar nights fun. Thrills and smiles... that's not too much to ask for, is it?

I wouldnt be mad at an adoption storyline I think it could be a sweet one but I just want carina's hurt and pain and trauma to be addressed for once. She has been through so much, just in general, and it deserves some respect. Forever stand by the fact that stefania deserves better. That woman is so talented and it's so wasted on this show.
The problem is that there is a lack of coherency in the writing of this baby storyline. While I think a good proportion of Marina fans want them to have a baby, I don't think there are many who are enjoying the actual storytelling to get them there.
Carina's story is always going to be limited on Station 19. It's annoying, but I don't think it's ever going to change, sadly. I appreciate what they give us (when they give it to us - like her conversation with Vic when they did the pregnancy test). Holding out for more only leads to disappointment and that makes it unenjoyable.

It's Carina's fault in her head simply because she's his older sister. Period. That will never go away. It doesn't matter how much anyone tells her that it's not her fault. She's the older sister, he's the younger brother. It just is. She's the protector, he's the little sibling. And Stefania played that all so so so amazingly last episode.
Ugh, that’s the tragedy of it! Even if she’d been still in Italy, she’d have blamed herself, “why wasn’t I there to stop him?” But THIS, this close, this...she will forever feel the guilt of not trying harder to help him. As she said, she KNEW, she was already thinking to herself, this is dangerous, Maya would stop us, we’ll delay calling so we can keep chasing this, and...of course it’s not her fault, not even 0.0001% but...the what ifs will always haunt her.
And god, like, she’s just so protective and compassionate with EVERYONE, and look at the way we thought from the preview we’d see her angry and lashing out but in the actual ep she was only turning it on herself, appreciative of Maya’s efforts and wanting to make it easier for her dad, that’s just who she is, and it just makes me so much more impressed. Remember last season when we were like, eesh, Maya, and Carina deserves so much better and all that, but: it’s easy to be good when you’re written with no storyline except to be the nice person who’s wronged, but look at her now! She just went through literally the worst thing she could imagine and is still that lovely and kind and generous. BUT, as much as she’s like that with everyone, the biggest part of it was reserved for her little brother, and now... Oof.

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X7
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
They did it! I can’t believe it! They actually killed DeLuca off! I’m so happy right now! As long time readers will know I have never been a Andrew DeLuca fan and I speculated back in the summer that they might be planning to write his character off after it was revealed that the planned finale for Season 16 included an explosion that was supposed to claim the life of one of the characters. I speculated that DeLuca was the most likely candidate with Tom and Jackson being the most likely runners up because I felt that they had gone as far as they could with DeLuca’s character and there wasn’t much left for him to do on the show.
Add that to the fact that the actor who plays DeLuca said a bunch of stuff to the press last year where he spoiled some pretty major plot points and stated that he knew things about where the show was going when he hadn’t even read a single script for the season yet and I was pretty sure his days were numbered. That being said, the show had teased us a bunch of times about firing, killing, or writing off the character during seasons 15 and 16 and they never went through with it so a big part of me was skeptical that they ever would.
But it turns out I was right! His days were numbered and they wound up killing him off in the Mid-Season Premiere! I’m still in shock. It hasn’t really sunk in yet to be honest. This episode honestly made me wish we’d gotten to see the remaining episodes and finale of Season 16 as planned. Based on what we know it looks like the plan was for Richard, Bailey, Meredith, and Carina to stage an intervention, DeLuca was to go away and get treatment and return to the hospital only to die tragically in an explosion.
Season 17 would have opened with the characters finding out about that and mourning his death and I think it would have been interesting to see Meredith navigate that as in the Finale Hayes asked her out and she said yes. It seems likely that if the COVID-19 Pandemic had not hit when it did and shut down production and altered filming for this season we would have seen Meredith and Hayes go out for a drink and start dating.
Seeing Meredith navigate the loss of her ex-boyfriend who she was no longer close to while in the beginning stages of her relationship with Hayes would have been very interesting and I’m sorry we didn’t get to see that. I’m also sorry that due to safety restrictions Meredith and Hayes haven’t had much screen time this season, but it looks like that’s about to change as I’ll get into a bit later.
Back to the episode at hand. I never liked DeLuca as a character and I hated him with Meredith so I’m glad that they killed him off and that we never have to deal with that nonsense again. I’m glad that they caught the human trafficker Opal and took those people down. I was never super invested in that storyline so I’m glad they wrapped that up. I feel so bad for Carina though. She’s a great character and is wonderfully acted by Stefania Spampinato.
My heart broke for her in this episode because while I won’t miss her brother I know that she will and will be absolutely gutted when she finds out that he’s died especially after she worked so hard to get him help and treatment for his Bipolar Disorder. I’m glad she has Maya there to support her.
LOL at Bailey sleeping through the whole damn episode! What did I miss indeed! That poor woman slept through DeLuca getting stabbed, almost dying, not dying, having surgery twice, and then actually dying as well as the other shenanigans going on at the hospital. I loved that she was asleep at Meredith’s bedside especially after they spent a good chunk of Season 16 fighting.
I also feel really bad for Richard in that he’s obviously grateful that DeLuca helped save his life and wanted to help and when Owen turned him down because it wasn’t a good idea for him to scrub in Richard lurked in the background in the OR gallery the whole time to make sure that everything was okay. Plus he can’t talk to Meredith about it right now because she’s in a coma which must be so difficult for him. The extra stress also puts his sobriety at risk and that worries me.
I got to be honest I am struggling to understand Teddy’s point of view this season. She’s being really awful! She’s being cruel to Tom. She was cruel to Owen. I don't know what Teddy expected to have happen. Both Cristina and Amelia walked away from their marriages to Owen and moved on with their lives in large part because they realized Owen was in love with Teddy and always would be.
And then she finally gets what she’s wanted all these years and the minute she realizes Amelia’s baby might be Owen’s and not Link’s she runs back to Tom and has a several months long affair with him and then drops him like a hot potato as soon as she realizes that the baby is Link’s and after Owen finds out about the affair she refuses to talk to Tom for months and then comes crawling back to him and wants to be his friend after Owen makes it clear he wants nothing to do with her. WTF?
I feel bad for Tom. I really like his character. He’s super interesting and complex and he deserves better than someone who treats him like that. Tom is a good man at heart and he treated Teddy like gold and in return she’s done nothing but break his heart and stomp all over him when he’s already down. He deserves someone better. I’ve never been an Owen fan, but honestly Teddy is behaving so horribly I’m on his side on this one.
They had some great scenes in the OR together, but Teddy clearly read too much into it. Every time he gives her a crumb she’s convinced he’s forgiven her and wants to give her a second chance and that’s not it at all. Owen has been clear. He doesn’t forgive her and he doesn’t want to get back together with her. All he wants is to co-parent peacefully and work together as colleagues because he values her skills as a surgeon. That’s it.
It was cute to see Teddy Face Timing with Leo. I’m glad they are finding safe ways to incorporate the kids into the story. Speaking of which, the scene where Amelia and Maggie tell Zola that her Mom has been placed on a vent and she might not come off it was heartbreaking. That kid has grown into her own as an actress and really holds her own in that scene.
Her line about how she didn’t want them to tell Bailey or Ellis yet because they’re too young to understand broke me heart. Zola’s only a few years older than them but she’s old enough to understand the impact of what’s happening in a way that they can’t. And she remembers how hard it was when Derek died. When Cristina left. When Alex left. She doesn’t want to put her siblings though the same thing especially when Alex’s departure is still so fresh for them and they never got a chance to really know their Dad. The fact that Zola can recognize that at such a young age is raw and heart breaking.
We saw Winston and Maggie reconnect this episode which would have been super hot and enjoyable if Meredith hadn’t just been put on a ventilator! The scene where Jackson showed up looking for Maggie was too funny! I loved the scenes with Jackson, Link, and Winston in the backyard having beers! Winston has a great sense of humour and seems to be a calming presence. I like the idea of those three being friends.
Link’s face when he realized that Winston doesn’t know that Maggie and Jackson used to date and are also step-siblings. I’ll be interested to see Winston’s reaction when that comes out. I loved Link’s rant about how worried he was about Meredith and what her declining health and potential death was doing and would do to Amelia. Did anyone else catch that he called Amelia his wife? I’m calling it. They’re foreshadowing an Amelink wedding!
I liked hearing Jackson talk about how Meredith is family and they’re all worried and Winston’s comments about how all they can do is just keeping moving physically and metaphorically. I’m also loving Amelia and Maggie’s wardrobes this season. Their sweaters in this episode were gorgeous! Hats off to the wardrobe department! They’re looking good!
I loved seeing Jo and Hayes work together again because I love their friendship, but to be honest I was expecting more of the friendly teasing and banter of last season where she egged him on about Meredith and they traded barbs. Their scenes in this episode were a lot more intense and agitated. She totally played him with that line about Meredith.
He kept saying no to taking Luna to see her Mom and so Jo made it personal for him. If Meredith asked to see her kids Hayes would never say no and he would move heaven and earth for her. By making that connection Jo got him to agree to her plan. I also love that the reason he kept saying no in the beginning was because of what happened to Meredith.
She went from laughing and joking to being put on a vent and he doesn’t want to run the risk with any other patient and it’s obviously eating him up inside. He misses her. He cares about her and he’s clearly terrified about the possibility of her not waking up. That being said, Jo’s line where she compared Alex leaving her for Izzie because he found out he had kids he didn’t know he had and sending her a heartfelt letter to Hayes spending years watching his wife and the mother of his two boys die of cancer was way out of line. Super not okay. I really think that Jo is going to adopt that baby. I think that’s why they are setting up her interest in OBGYN.
In other news, Nico is still a terrible boyfriend to Levi. I honestly don’t know why Levi puts up with him. Levi really shone in this episode I think. He felt responsible for what happened, but instead of bungling things and making things worse like he might have done in the past he got out of his own way and asked Dr. Khan who was a vascular surgeon in Pakistan prior to immigrating to the U.S. to take his place.
I feel like this episode implies that the Beach is limbo now as I don’t know how else DeLuca could have ended up there as he wasn’t someone who was close to Meredith the way that Derek, George, Richard, and Bailey are. Not sure how I feel about that as I was kind of liking the is it a COVID dream is it the afterlife ambiguity.
Onto next week’s promo! I’m not excited that they appear to be setting up an episode in which the other characters mourn DeLuca’s passing as none of the other characters apart from Carina were really that close to him. They spent the last two seasons establishing that everyone hated his guts, considered him a nuisance, and only put up with him because they had to. So to me the other characters mourning him doesn’t feel authentic or real. It just feels forced.
There are several things I am excited about though. Seeing Maggie’s reaction to his death I think will be interesting. She was visibly upset and ran to his side when Alex beat him up in Season 13 and mourning the loss of your ex-boyfriend who you were no longer close to while being in a committed relationship with someone new I think is an interesting dynamic. She’s kinda standing in for Meredith here because she’s on a vent.
I’d like to see Catherine support Richard and make up for her horrible behaviour last season. And the best thing of all: Hayes!!! In the promo trailer we see Hayes sitting at Meredith’s bedside talking to her about how she needs to fight and how they all need her to fight. Bring it on! It’s about damn time! And Derek’s back and he’s … fishing? I’m excited to see what happens there and if they actually get to talk and have a real conversation this time. It has also been announced that Sarah Drew will be returning for a cameo as Dr. April Kepner this season so I’m excited for that!
Until next time!

Since i haven’t had enough time it’s seems appropriate to ramble a little about the latest episode of Station 19 since we’re going to be on a two-week hiatus so let’s get right to it: SPOILERS
1. I don’t hate the babies storyline even tho it’s “overused” i mean couples have kids all the time (or decide they don’t want to have any kids) but anyways that aside (since i talked on other post about it) it feels like every call or everything Maya is involved now it’s only made to change her mind about kids. Again, i don’t hate the idea but in 5x03 saving the kid and taking control over the situation is her job, it’s not any special just because it was a kid; in 5x04 the couple arguing about kids it’s like okay we get it, Maya and Carina are on this issue but it doesn’t seem like a deal breaker, you don’t decide these things overnight and just pray it works you know? Instead of “the universe” throwing signs at Maya let her do her own thinking about that and when she’s ready she’ll make her choice
2. I understand why Andy was pissed with Sullivan but not speaking to someone is not gonna fix anything… I dislike what he did, instead of defending Maya, he threw under the bus when the entire team including her; however not speaking and just hoping that things somehow will get better it’s not a mature thing to do, she only spoke to him because Sullivan confronted her. With that being said, i hate how he’s now portrayed as the victim, he knew what he was doing the second he sat there with The Chief, i’m glad he’s owning his part and hell, Maya seems to be cool with him so (Carina on the other hand wasn’t very pleased with Sullivan lol) i’m glad that Maya cares about Andy but i wish they would talk about this, again i know they aren’t working at the same station (i don’t even know if there’s some sort of issue between the actresses so who knows) but i wish they could talk about this because Maya is her best friend and it seems that they don’t discuss these things (specially when Andy’s now ex-husband was involved in this). Sullivan didn’t make a mistake, he made a choice period and owning that doesn’t make him the best all of the sudden
3. I hope they don’t send Dean away, after all he’s the mind behind Crisis One. Honestly i don’t know why they decided to go that route, Vic and Dean had such a good friendship that i enjoyed watching and while it’s a common thing to develop romantic feelings for someone that happens to be your friend i just don’t feel it there; they went there and now it’s like welp, we gave Vic a bf now so you’re gonna be sulking all the time
4. Jack deserves some happiness, he made some questionable choices in the past but he’s a good guy and a good friend to everyone. #MakeJackHappy
5. Not enough Travis scenes in my opinion, he’s such a fun character but also a very wise one, the interactions with Vic are always *chef’s kiss*
6. I’ve mentioned this before. I enjoy Marina scenes, everyone does but again i’m still wondering how are they going to fit Carina into Station 19 without being just Maya’s wife, she has an amazing career as OBGYN, logically Grey’s would be the show to see her using her skills but since she’s a regular in 19 i’m wondering what are the plans? Besides just fitting her at the beginning and the end of the episodes where is Marina centric
7. Diane kills it every single time she’s on 19, she’s amazing. That’s it.
8. I’m wondering what’s gonna happen with the lady that appeared the last two episodes (i think?) thanking Ben… could be nothing or could be more drama? I guess we’ll have to stick around
9. I’ve seen some drama about Danielle (Maya) walking in wrapped in a towel and the level of comfort she might feel to portray that same “nudity” in her scenes with Stefania (Carina). Some say it’s because they don’t feel comfortable, some others say it’s because they are a queer couple portrayed on tv so it might be a little bit toned down in comparison with straight couples. Personally i don’t think they are uncomfortable (unless something has changed) because both Danielle and Stefania have been pretty open about their characters and the representation behind it but more like what they have to work with. They kill it everytime and scenes are always amazing to watch because they have this crazy chemistry, honestly i’ve never seem something like that before. It does makes me feel like they are an actual couple lol
Anyways if you made it all the way here thank you! My two brain cells and i are grateful for you taking the time and reading this, it would be nice to read some opinions about the episode😁☺️

stefania spampinato & volver transcripted livestream
Interviewer — Going to the USA is a dream for many actors, not everyone succeed in it, it’s a pipe dream. But our guest did it and it wasn’t even her main goal. Let’s hear it from her. Today we have Stefania Spampinato!
I — Hi Stefania, you’re beautiful!
Stefania – Good Morning!
I – How are you?
S – I’m fine! What about you?
I – So, why did I start with this song? I read a lot about you. We barely know each other, but I read about you because I wanted to know everything apart from the things you’ve already told me... So I found out that Brazilian songs make you happy. So I was thinking, what could I sing? I’m so bad at English, I tried every song..., “My way”, but then no, I wanted something happy, so I wanted to dedicate this song to you.
S – You did the right thing! It’s an happy song, and it’s Brazilian. It’s evening there now, and here it’s morning but that’s still good.
I – It’s morning there, but you look amazing. You look relaxed!
S - Yeah, I had my coffee, I woke up...
I – There are so many people in the comments who are sending the Brazilian flag. Because there are people from all over the world. There are so many questions!
S – I receive lot of questions from young actors who want to start this career, so it gets hard to answer to all of them. So... this is a great opportunity, doing it in Italian. I really liked this idea!
I – So let’s start with this. Explain what they ask you.
S – "How can I get to the USA?" All I can do is telling my experience but everyone has their own story. I also started doing the dance thing, I went to London first and from London I came to LA to still dance and then I ended up doing something different. But I studied dancing, singing and acting in Italy with the intention of doing musicals. Then I focused most on the dancing thing and once in LA I started studying acting. But I paid my dues, it’s not like I arrived and I said “Here I am”... no. The most difficult part in the USA is getting a visa, it’s really hard to get because you need to have a solid resumè, so if you didn’t work before it’s hard to arrive to the USA. My advice is to study in Italy or England or in France.
I – They ask if you can suggest some schools?
S – (I didn't understand this part, sorry!)
I – What are you doing during this time? What are you doing since you can’t act?
S – Before the pandemic, during the movie with Siani I saw him directing, I was close with the editor and I got passionate about directing, so in the USA I asked to the GA & the S19 showrunner if I could be a shadow to the director. So I was there 14 hours just to see him directing and then I started working on my short film... but during this pandemic I tried to end this idea of the short film.
I – There are so many English people here, do you want to say hi in English? There are so many people who want to learn Italian because of you!
S – I'm so sorry this one is in italian and a lot of you are not gonna understand much, but [...] (she talks about sending questions in english). There are lots of Brazilian, Argentinian fans!
I – Even from Chile! So, many people are asking what are the differences between USA and Italy?
S – Honestly, in the USA there are more money. But I’m part of two famous tv series. The thing that is better is that on Italian set you feel like a family. In Italy the assistant would come with some pizza and say “it is right out of the oven, eat it before shooting the scene”. In America this wouldn’t happen. In the morning in Italy you would have espresso all together and so the atmosphere is more familiar. Even behind the scenes, in the USA is the place where there are the director and the writer, the actors are not allowed. Instead in Italy you can talk to the director, you can participate more.
I – Did you have difficulties during auditions, because you were Italian?
S – For the foreign people are all the same. There is no difference between Spanish, Italian. Then if you are a good-looking guy or girl they may think “he was a model and and now he wants to be an actor”. So that’s the vibe when you get into the audition room. So you have to work harder to prove yourself, and to show that you deserve it.
I – I mean just thinking about the green card, I mean I didn’t came here for fun, I earned it.
S – Well, about the green card... there are people who can obtain the green card easily, because they want to do the acting thing just to become famous, not because they are passionate about it. And to them they say “no, no”. They give you the opportunity to show them that you are worth it.
I – What was you reaction when you got the part for Carina? Your reaction and your family’s reaction?
S – The night before the audition I was at my acting class and I was crying because of my Italian accent. With the accent I could have just Italian roles. So I was crying. The next day I arrived, and when I got into the room the casting director was like “let’s see another one” but then during the audition they asked me a question, they made me do the scene another time, they made me improvise. And they told me "don’t’ go back to Italy". The next morning, they told me “see you at the table read!” So, I laughed, I cried. My neighbors wanted to call the police. I didn’t tell anything to my family until 2 weeks later because I heard about people who were fired after the table read, so I was scared. When the news were officially out I told everyone. My best friend is a huge Grey's Anatomy fan, so I was really excited to tell her.
I – Having Giacomo there helped? I mean, someone you could speak Italian with...
S – Yes!
I – How did you feel when you got on the set of GA?
S – It was unreal. Ellen Pompeo is the one who says hi to you. I couldn’t believe it!
I – What did you like about playing an LGBT character? And how much Stefania there is in Carina?
S – I really like playing an LGBT character, because it doesn’t happen a lot that an Italian is chosen to represent this community, so it was a new thing. Also because lot of Italian teenagers don't have a person who can represent them in that way. So being an European girl, bisexual, without limits. I was so happy.
I – Yeah, because you are a doctor who studies women’s brain during orgasms, right? Does it really exist this kind of doctor? Do you guys prepare for these things?
S – Yes, these people exist. In fact, I talked to an Italian doctor who was doing this study in London... I read some books, “The multiorgasmic woman” is what is called.
I – I didn’t know that. I thought it was fictional!
S – GA is based on real things, and about the second question... Carina taught me so much. Because I’m Sicilian, I grew up in a small town and despite the fact that my mom was super open-minded, I grew up in a conservative world. So Carina taught me to be more relaxed, to not be afraid of saying things.
I – She is the one who taught you something! And between Arizona and Maya, which one is the story couple you would like to live? (I don’t know if this is right!)
S – Maya! As soon as we read the script – we say this a lot – everyone got quiet and there were 5 seconds of silence, because everyone was surprised by the chemistry that was there.
I – Were you on Station 19?
S – Yes!
I – What if they told you that you became an important character on S19 and you had to choose between S19 and GA?
S – Well... S19 is a show that talks about firefighters so I don’t know how an OB could fit in it.
I – Now that Arizona is gone, why they don’t write a storyline about Carina? But everything's stopped there, you are not shooting, right?
S – No, we are not. GA didn’t finish the last 4 episode. They told it would have started again this week but I don’t think it has. What about Italy?
I – We should start “phase 3” on the 3rd of June. So they would like to start again from mid June/July. We hope it won’t be in September. Also, many people want you back in Italy. Speaking about Italy... you were in (Alessandro) Siani’s movie. You were Flavia, a scientist, a good one. Then there’s a love story with him. How was working with him? Is he really selfless?
S – He was super busy because he was the writer, the director and the actor. There were scripted scenes, but we improvised a lot and that was very funny. I liked how the love story was written because it was fresh and not so much romantic.
I – It's a really great movie. There are people here saying "you’re beautiful", "ti amo", "English please!"...
S – Most of my live are in english so...
I – Do you dream in Italian or in English? Do you feel uncomfortable with the actors on set?
S – I don’t know... For example, I had some builder who were speaking Spanish and I started speaking Spanish and dreaming in Spanish.
I – Which role of a movie you saw that you would have liked to play?
S – Rosario Dowson’s role in “Sette Anime” di Gabriele Muccino!
I – And a director you would like to work with?
S – It’s not easy. Because maybe some of them do great thing but you don’t get along with them. But the director of S19... he tells you a specific thing and it changes everything. And I didn’t expect that a person with so much experience would dedicate so much time to an actor.
I – It’s hard to create empathy...
S – That’s why I decided to start directing. I had some scenes with Danielle, and she had to cry, and on TV Shows the director usually don’t give you so much time, so we, as actors, help each other. So it’s beautiful to tell an actor to say “do that”.
I – What kind of movies would you like to direct? Horror, action?
S – No, horror no! They make me anxious. I like romantic comedies, but also dramatic movies.
I – Do you live love with yearning?
S – (I didn't understand this part, sorry!)
I – Can I tell you something? Thank God. If you have the passion about directing you have to protect it. Can you say something in Sicilian?
S – I’ll tell you something that my mom always said and that my sister and I want to tattoo on our ankle: “zita sempre maritata mai” (always in a relationship but never married).
I – She's right! The problem is that we always fall for it. As women, we are always romatic, the prince charming arrives with his white horse. Do you know what a Brazilian friend of mine say? My prince charming’s horse is a little bit hurt (I don’t know how to translate it). At the beginning the prince is perfect and then… Apart your relationship with you boyfriend or husband or whatever, can you say that your job is your second love? I don’t want to put it first.
S – When you work harder for something you want to do, it’s amazing!
I – A Brazilian asked “did she talked about an husband?” I don’t know, I just said boyfriend, husband and we don’t care. We also have to say goodbye. I’m happy we had you here in this live. Thank you, bye!
S - Bye!

#station 19#carina deluca#stefania spampinato#grey’s anatomy#none of this is shocking and shondaland will always prioritize straight men#the fact that they said they had to make budget cuts and cut queer characters to make Ben a series regular??#that’s nasty work#Stefania deserves better than anything greys ever could and would give her anyway though so whatever#curious if Carina is just gonna disappear from the hospital or if she’ll still be mentioned

People that want Carina back on Greys, you realize the Grey's writer/producers have no obligation to keep canon Carina from Station 19. Just like 19 changed Carina; kids were the deal breaker between her and Arizona on Greys and yet became her whole identity on 19. And with the way they treated Callie and Arizona toward the end (Penny and the custody was so stupid), I don't trust them to respect any relationship. Marina can live on in your head however you want and revisit their good times on YT
I don't trust Grey's with Carina at all. I'll forever be annoyed with the mistreatment of her character and disrespecting Stefania in a sense that they've always just used her as a plot device and even when they did have her on, she was more like a background character than anything else but I think most people should realize by now that have no intention of giving her anything of substance and don't care to and Stefania/Carina deserves better than that. It wouldn't be worth even the glimpse of seeing her. They make it more and more obvious she's not a priority with the more characters they add to the show despite having 'budget cuts' to deal with. We have our Marina endgame and no one can mess with that now and that's for the best.

Stef was not written into that last scene and someone had to call her!?! What in the actual fuck!!!!
Do the writers purposely hate her or something??? Fuck I just hate these writers.
The reason why everyone says season 4 was the best is cos they had better showrunners at that time.
I'm happy Stef gets to move on. Honestly she should never even go back to GA she deserves so much better than the absolute shit these people have given her.
It really feels like none of them really cared to make Carina an integral part of the show no matter who was in charge. I mean even Krista who made the choice to bring her over and make her a regular...I remember we got frustrated at first because she was basically just like Maya's girlfriend who was always at their apartment and not getting much of her own thing, especially in the beginning of Season 4 but it gave us domestic Marina so we at least had that. And I think the Covid situation/cast being put in groups/bubbles really benefited Marina because they were kind of forced in a way to be around each other more and filming together more than with anyone else.
But there's no excuse for anything after that for the way they continued to do Carina's character dirty. We all know the mess that was Season 5, in Season 6 it was a little better but still revolved around Marina and she didn't get much else and then Season 7 they tried but it just wasn't enough and there was barely any time. The fact that we never got to see her have friends of her own, no backstory, no real storylines that affected just her...it's just insane and she was always treated like a plot device on GA too. I really hope Stefania is able to get something that really showcases her talent and gives her great material.

I thought it was confirmed Carina was going to have a part in the crossover? Did that just get nicked with Theo?
That’s a bummer and probably means they aren’t bringing Carina back to Grey’s. It’s maddening. Hospitals can have two gynecologists. How many Chief of a surgery do they have? 🙄
If Theo becomes a guest star on grey’s, I’m done. Lol
I feel bad for Stef. She deserves so much better from this franchise. Carina was never more than a plot device for other characters but she turned out to be a fan favorite and TPTB missed the mark spectacularly.
I’m mad af. Ngl.
They didn't say she was part of the crossover specifically, just that we would see her on Grey's this season. I really am curious for what and why. I really hope it's nothing pointless and there's a good reason for it. You would think she'd be involved in the crossover like Ben to at least show the possibility of both characters going back there after the season is over? Since the showrunners keep saying it all depends on how Station 19 ends. You'd at least want to have the character back on a bit just in case but clearly they're only doing that with Ben.
Why they'd have Theo involved makes zero sense to me. It feels like something they should only be doing if he was going to be on Grey's but...come on. There's no way that can be happening. For what? Of all the characters?
Stefania definitely deserves better and always has. Was a plot device from day one on Grey's and never truly got her own storylines as a character. It's a shame because she's so talented and would be able to do so much.

What are the odds that Stefania (and the dude who plays Ben) return to Grey's? I hate to think of them losing work when they can so easily just be back at Grey Sloan (I mean they had Miranda show up how many times?). And they can keep Marina alive by having Carina drop tidbits about her life. Maybe Danielle guest stars here and there. GA is a revolving door of returning cast members, so it doesn't seem so out of pocket. And the actors seem to love their roles. It would be stupid not to.
I think it's pretty likely that Ben will go back to Grey's. They can very easily make that his 'ending' on Station in the finale and his wife is already there so it's the obvious move. But with Stefania/Carina it's a little more tricky. I'm not sure how open ended the writers are going to leave the finale/storylines in case the show does happen to get picked up or saved by another network so I think it would depend on that too. I know a popular 'ending' for Marina is people wanting Maya to transfer to another station where she can actually be captain and Carina starts her own practice. Both are great but if the show actually does get saved, then what lol. And then it would make Stefania being on Grey's less likely.
And honestly, that show has way too many characters as is so if they were to bring Stefania back, what are the chances she would even get any kind of decent material to be working with? I find it very unlikely. She'd be a background character and she deserves better than that, she always did. Look at characters who are actual regulars on that show (Amelia, Teddy, Bailey, etc.) who are barely getting anything decent these days. It's not worth the risk of what they could do to Marina's endgame too. The more Carina/Stefania is on Grey's, the more it could effect Maya and Carina's situation if Maya isn't there with her. It's not that I want Stefania out of a job opportunity or anything like that but I think at this point Grey's wouldn't even give her anything of substance that would make it worth it anyway.

Can they give Carina her personality back? Like she is so baby obsessed it's boring and she is so different from season 4. I can tell stefania is bored just playing it. I'm still so convinced they went the baby route straight away bc they had no idea what to do with Carina even though there is so much potential with her. It was the easy way out by giving her cheap shitty writing and I find it so uninteresting. There is so many interesting things about Carina and they make no effort to explore it. They haven't even bothered to tell us WHY she wants it so bad. In my head the thing that makes the most sense if you take in her on greys aswell is that she was never 100% sure until her brother died. I dont think she would've wanted one before as she had to parent her own parents. She was always the one taking care of people which is why this is so strange to me. She needs help it's so obvious she is scared of being alone they literally have a gold mine of potential but they dont use it. Strange.
They always go the baby route with wlw ships and they do it quickly which is annoying. I mean we can say it time and time again and it doesn't change, we all know they should be doing more with Carina and they don't. She deserves better and they have plenty of potential with her character. We can't force them to do anything though so there's no sense just repeating the same thing over and over. It is what it is. It's frustrating but they have never put a real effort in ever since making her a regular on a fire show and who knows if they ever will.

The writing for marina this ep was kinda iffy but dani and stefania's chemistry made up for it. The rest of the episode was done really well imo
For sure. Danielle and Stefania are always able to make the most out of so little. They always make the scenes better, thank god for them! And I agree, the crazy part is that the rest of the episode was done well, it was just the Marina stuff that felt off to me and it's probably mostly because it was rushed in an episode they tried to fit in so much but the dialogue still just wasn't it. If they had Maya and Carina elaborate though, I'm sure it would've been better. Obviously this fandom can explain their scenes to make them make sense like we usually have to do and in this case we do because they barely got any dialogue, but it's just unfortunate with something so big at the end of their resolution that that has to be done in the first place.
But the Vic/Beckett stuff was great. Josh and Barrett did an amazing job. Jack's stuff was good too, despite me not really liking or caring about him anymore. He deserved to have that family stuff going on. They could've definitely done it sooner instead of shoving it into an episode right before the finale but 🤷🏻♀️
#asks#anon#the petty captain drama stuff i could've done without but this show is obsessed with it so that was bound to happen

Stefania deserves so much better for herself and her character than what this show gives her
Stefania seems pretty happy with her life. 🤷🏼♀️ As fans, we’ll always want more for our favourite characters and I think Stefania wants more than the eternal baby storyline - who can blame her when it’s been written so badly and dragged out. I think season 6 has been more interesting and challenging for her to play, which is great for both her and us, because we get to see so much more of Carina and who she is. Let’s hope that continues in season 7!
