Steve Harrington gets into a fight with Tommy after Tommy and his friends are giving Steve a hard time for presenting as an omega. Steve, tired of Tommy's bullying, punches him, but in the chaos, he accidentally punches Eddie Munson, who tries to intervene, in the face. As Tommy leaves huffing that it’s not worth it. Steve apologizes to Eddie but tells him he didn’t need an alpha to step in to help him. But Eddie tells him he just couldn’t watch Tommy hit him. Steve is about to ask why but notices the blood leaking from his nose. And brings him to the nurse, he asks if there is anything he can do and Eddie says the only thing that would help if he went out on a date with him. Steve agrees. After that they spend more time together, they grow close despite Steve's parents disapproving, they are now inseparable. They can't be pulled apart and are constantly together. This was both their first love after all.
As sophomore year ends, they spend the summer together, hanging out with Eddie's friends. One night, they're all drunk from Gareth parents liquor and messing around by the quarry. Eddie is dared to dive in, and despite Steve's warnings that it's not a good idea, Eddie brushes him off not wanting to back down from a dare. But when he dives, he ends up hitting his head on a rock and suffers a brain injury.
Steve is devastated and waits months anxiously waiting for Eddie to wake up. Wayne tells Steve that the doctors are saying Eddie might not make it, but Steve insists that Eddie is strong and will pull through. To make matters worse, Steve finds out he's pregnant.
Months go by, and Eddie finally wakes up, but his head injury is bad enough that he's disabled. When Steve goes to see Eddie, he's freaking out and throwing things at the nurse. Wayne sits Steve down and tells him that Eddie can't be a parent to Steve's and Eddie’s baby, and the doctors told Wayne it's best for now that he sends him to assisted living. Steve tells Wayne he can take care of Eddie, but Wayne insists he can't. Heartbroken, Steve agrees.
Years go by, and Eddie is released from assisted living. Wayne takes Eddie in, but doesn't tell Steve, knowing it would break his heart. That eddie has no idea who Steve is.
Steve and Eddie's daughter is now eight years old. And when Steve and her go to a grocery store, and she runs off, finding Eddie trying to buy groceries but struggling because he's short. Their daughter saves the day, giving Eddie some of her money. Steve sees Eddie and their daughter talking and laughing, he freezes not believing his eyes.
Steve offers Eddie a ride home, and as he’s driving he looks into the mirror . Eddie looks like his eddie smiling and laughing with their daughter. Steve can't help but feel nostalgic for their past relationship.
When they arrive at Wayne's trailer, and Eddie gets out the car and hugs their daughter, Steve walks him up to the trailer door and when Eddie goes in Wayne and him argue outside about being able to see Eddie again. Wayne agrees to let Steve invite Eddie to dinner.

@steddiemas Day 19: Steddie as Parents
Tumblr media
Steve hadn't been able to stop looking at her. Eddie would be home soon, the snow had really started falling so they'd closed the shop early. Steve wasn't thinking about that however, not with the small bundle in his arms.
His parents had called the day before, said they'd be visiting, they never did that. Since Steve had moved out with Eddie into a little apartment downtown they'd cut off contact. Steve hadn't gotten many words out when they'd knocked on the door. They'd simply bushed the basket into his arms and a pile of documents and left. The papers were still sat on the coffee table in front of him.
He heard a jingle of keys and the front door opening, glancing up for the first time in an hour just to shush his boyfriend who was now just inside the door frozen and looking at the two of them.
"Shh, she's sleeping."
"She?"
Steve nodded, gesturing to the stack of papers.
"Her name is Emily. She's my little sister."
Eddie took careful steps and sat quietly beside him, taking in the face of the sleeping baby girl.
"She's beautiful, but sweetheart, what is she doing here?"
Steve sniffled at the question, the reality of the situation finally hitting him.
"My parents didn't want her, at least they figured that out earlier than they did about me." Tears had started to glisten in his eyes.
"Oh sweetheart, I'm sorry. So they brought her here? That's what their visit was about?"
Steve nodded again.
"Um, they've signed adoption documents, there's a letter in there, they said she's mine if I want her, or I can give her up."
Eddie wrapped his arm carefully around Steve.
"Did you decide?"
"I can't give her up, Eds. She's so small, and she didn't ask to be born into my stupid family, I want to show her she's loved."
Eddie smiled softly.
"I think we can handle that."
"We?"
Eddie nodded.
"She's a good start to those six little nuggets, sweetheart, don't think you can scare me away that easy."
That Christmas, one extra stocking was hung up by the tree, and Steve's home felt a little more whole.

Chapter 2:
Chapter 1
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☪ . :☆゚. ───
April 30, 1996.
Eddie, who was at his studio, sat on his piano with some pens and papers, trying to figure out how the bridge of his new song should go. He spent hours, repeating over and over the melody but then stopping at the same part, since it felt like nothing could ever continue it. As if there was no follow up to the story he was writing, like if in the middle of the book the protagonist died and there was no more story at all. It frustrated him so much, he was scratching his head nervously, biting his nails and even smashing the piano tiles whenever he tried to even continue the song. Nothing seemed to work. So when his Motorola cell phone rang, he thanked god to be able to get away from the monster that has become his piano.
“Hello?”
“Eddie!” Steve’s voice called from the over side, in a quite excited way that grabbed the man's attention quickly
“Baby? Aren’t you supposed to be in class right now?” he asked
“Lunch break”
“Lunch break? But it's like 10 in the morning?”
“Eddie, it's 2… have you been in the studio all day?” the shift in steve’s voice knew that if he said yes the answer would bring him trouble
“No?”
“Eddie! I’ve told you it's not healthy to spend an entire morning locked in a room with only a piano and a guitar! Go eat something, or even just go to the bathroom”
Eddie huffed knowing that Steve hated the fact Eddie spent an entire day writing and not even eating, but everytime he was there, it felt like time moved faster somehow.
“I know, I'm sorry, I'm gonna grab my jacket now and leave to go eat something alright? Now what are you calling me for?” eddie asked as he stood up from the piano stool and walked to the the little table besides the door and grab his keys
“Oh! I almost forgot!” Steve’s disappointed and warning tone changed to a giddy one which turned Eddie's heart around “So remember I told you I was gonna talk to my colleague, Sarah, whose cousin works at the Orphanage? Well, i got in contact with the director of the place, and told me we could go next Friday at 4”
“Wait really?” eddie stopped his tracks as he walked out of the studio department
“Yes!” he exclaimed “there are about 23 kids, the age ranges are form 2-15 year old”
“I'm not adopting a two year old human, sorry” Eddie laughed nervously. He still won't be completely in love with the idea of a kid in their house, but at least he could hold a 10 minute conversation with a 6 year old. And that was progress
“I know” Steve sighed a laugh “so i told her that probably a kid from 6-12, and that we don’t really have anything in mind”
“Wait” Eddie thanked God that there was no one else in that elevator with him at this moment “you told her about… us? Like… the fact that we…”
“Are a same sex marriage? Yes'' and with that eddie sighed loudly “ she told me that she has had a lot of queer parents adopting, so it's definitely not a problem, we just need to make sure we are suitable for taking care of a minor”
“And how-”
“It's an interview. And before you panic, no, it's not about knowledge about children” another loud sigh came from eddie “it's about it we are… responsible and economically okay to take care of a child. Then they are coming to our house to make sure the kid is gonna live in a safe and decent house. It's just regular procedure”
“Wow'' Eddie smiled, quite shocked that this might be finally happening. They might be finally adopting a kid “and how long to like… get the kid”
The other line went dead. Eddie couldn't even hear Steve’s breathing. Just by this reaction, he knew the answer was not gonna be pleasant.
“Steve?”
“Umm…. they said about…. 6 to…. 18 months?”
“18 Months!?” Eddie exclaimed loudly “Steve!”
“I know!!” he whines back
“I'm gonna be gone! Tour starts in a year and- what if i’m not there? What if the child comes into the home, and i'm not there and then when i come home they hate me? What if something happens to them or me, and I never get to meet them! Steve-”
“Eddie i know! I just… We’ve been waiting for such a long time…. There is hope that maybe it could be less. They say that if it works perfectly, it can be at least 6 months”
“For me to leave in six months? Not to forget, this tour is long, and then i have to do interviews and shit I- steve…” Eddie breathed loudly “I don’t want you to do this alone, because you and I both know it sucks not having a parent around, and I'm letting that kid go through this. I don't wanna be like you dad! I don’t want to leave for over a year, and then just come around to say happy birthday or merry christmas and then leave again! And with the new album-”
“Eddie you would never be like my father you hear me? Never.” Steve sternly said as he sat up from his desk chair to look at the window to where the kids were playing football “I just… maybe… you should just… not release the album maybe?” Steve knew he was on thin ice now.
“Not- Are you crazy?! I’ve been working my ass off with Gareth for almost 2 years now! We can’t just postpone! This is super important for me Steven, I can't just drop my entire work for a kid!”
And the line went dead. In both ends, the men were holding the phones to their ear with eyes closed looking at the floor trying to somehow make this better. To somehow change the entire universe so they could be happy and all could fit. But they can’t. So when Eddie heard the 3 beeps of the dead line, he knew he fucked up and real bad this time.
He left for a Chinese restaurant and bought the usual. He walked back to his studio, and sat back again at the piano while he ate his chicken quietly. And then it hit him. The melody of the song suddenly crashed into him like a train and it all made sense. The story does continue, and this little rocky path made him stumble. But once he placed both hands on the keyboard the story seemed to write itself as he just played along with only one thing on his mind.
Steve.

Steddie dads with a son
His name is Sam. Yes, it is from Lord of the Rings. Yes, Steve knows.
To Eddie's dismay, he really likes sports.
Steve is a volunteer coach for all of Sam's teams: tee ball, basketball, soccer, football - Eddie can't keep up.
Eddie is always cheering on the sidelines with the best snacks.
They go to games as a family. Eddie knows what is going on, but gets everything wrong since Sam loves correcting him.
Lucas is his favorite uncle. Dustin is a close second. The competition between them is fierce.
Robin is obviously the favorite aunt. She always comes into town with gifts from her travels. She also taught him French and Spanish.

I really hate it when we fight.
Don’t get me wrong. We’re utterly and totally head over heels in love with each other. Have been for the past six years. And usually, it’s amazing.
So when we do get into it, I mean, really get into it, it always leaves me feeling like shit.
What can I say? I’m Eddie Munson. I didn’t exactly grow up in the picture-perfect domestic bliss. The less said about my old man the better.

cw: perceived cheating
Famous Eddie Munson who is in a public long term relationship with normal guy Steve Harrington.
Eddie Munson who’s known to be a “Wife Guy.” He’s obsessed with Steve Harrington and it’s enduring.
That is, until a photo of him and a random pregnant woman makes rounds on Reddit and it goes viral.
Everyone is so disappointed to learn that Eddie is nowhere close to the wife guy he pretended to be.
And they let him know.
There’s nasty tweets sent to him. There’s comments all over his personal Instagram account. There’s even comments on the corroded coffin band account.
“He doesn’t deserve you.” “You fumbled so hard!” “Wow. Just wow!” “Fucking loser!” “So disappointed!! Burning my merch!!” “How DARE you sing ‘My Knight’ on stage and then pull this shit!!”
The worst part? The girl could pass as Steve’s sister. She’s got the same golden brown hair, tall, freckles.
Everyone is quick to take Steve’s side, but it’s hard to see how he’s taking it. His social accounts have always been locked. He doesn’t answer message requests. But fans continue to show support, in hopes that he sees.
“Sue his ass, Steve!” “Date me instead!” “We love a Single King!”
It’s like this for days across social media platforms. Everybody hating on Eddie and showing support for Steve. But there’s radio silence from the both of them — even corroded coffin hasn’t mentioned a thing.
That is —
Until Eddie posts a photo of him and Steve in the hospital, holding a baby in their arms. Both of them look so happy and in love — nothing like what the fans had expected to see.
The caption reads:
“Thanks @ RobinBuckley🔒 for doing all the hard work for @ StevieHarrington1🔒 and me.”
(Steve’s username is StevieHarrington1 because he got locked out of StevieHarrington and didn’t remember his password so he just started over)

Mary Harrington finally gives up one day, boards a plane home alone knowing that her husband is likely already in bed with a woman ten years younger than her. For the first time in her life, she doesn't feel hurt. Only mildly disgusted, maybe with herself too.
She arrives in Hawkins to ruins that are slowly getting rebuilt, smoke almost cleared, and weird whispers about her son and his new friend, the trailer trash Eddie Munson. Something about being too close, too intimate for two men. She feels the familiar disdain, the words "what would your father think" - and then exhales and lets them go. She is past caring about Richard Harrington.
Instead, she sits down with them. She is honest, she was in love once and she knows those eyes - Steve's look like her own, after all. Behind the adoration, she sees the darkness in Steve's face, the pain, and thinks - I couldn't fix my husband, but I can fix this. She gently asks them both if anyone has been giving them trouble. When she hears several familiar names of local God-fearing women, she laughs for the first time in what feels like forever. "Leave them to me," she says.
She stops by for coffee. Chats a little. Gently opens the topic of the rumors about her son. And then: "I understand, Linda. Homosexuality is a sin. What a funny thing, one could say the same about fucking my husband last spring. Of course, it's been so long...I'm sure your husband knows?" One by one, the rumors quiet down and Mary's smile grows into its old radiance.
The first evening back, she summons all the remaining rage, disappointment and sadness over wasted years, poking at old wounds until she's sobbing. And like that, she calls Richard and wails into the phone how everything is destroyed, their house almost gone, and gently guides Richard to the brilliant idea of signing over the small flat in the center he's been renting to Steve. She knows Richard has no patience for her emotions, and she sobs out how Steve has been fixing the town, how he'd become everything Richard had ever wanted, a true pillar of the community, but he has nowhere to sleep, oh how it's breaking her heart, what would the town think-
He promises to send over his lawyer the next day. She thanks him through the tears, says one last "I love you" and with the click of the ended call, dries her tears and pours herself a glass of wine. "How did I do?" she asks.
Steve just laughs and hands her a cheese plate he's been preparing in the kitchen. He nudges Eddie who is staring with wide eyes. "What?" asks Steve with a smirk. "You've always admired my bitchiness and pragmatism. Where do you think I got it from?"
The flat is signed over the next day. Mary kisses her son and Eddie goodbye - she would go back to her parents for a while, she says, just to get the divorce finalized. Plus, one of her old friends still seems interested, her being the one that got away and all that, and Mary intends to test that theory. She will keep in touch, she says. And for the first time, Steve believes her.

Steve is the real freak in the relationship. Eddie will sit back and practically let Steve do whatever he wants to him.
They’re in a club and Steve wants to sit on his lap and lick his neck? Sure!
Someone is flirting with Eddie and Steve comes up and starts making out with Eddie in front of them? Totally!
Cockwarming eddie on the couch while they watch “the great British bake off?” One hundred percent!
If someone ever calls Steve out for his weirdness, Eddie will defend him until his dying breath, which turns Steve on to the point of no return.
I fear they are made for each other.

So, in Stranger Things fanfic when the author has Dustin bugging Steve about dating Robin and won't drop it, why doesn't Steve ever turn to Robin (because it's them, she's never far away lol) and go "Hey Robin, do you want to go out with me?" and have Robin respond "Ew no, you know you're not my type. You're my brother, gross."
And Dustin defends Steve (sweet boy, clueless but sweet) and goes "Really Robin, you would never date Steve?"
Robin snaps back with a "Would YOU date Steve?"
Dustin, flabbergasted, being like "That's my brother, Robin! Gross!"
And she's like, "Exactly!"
Steve is brother shaped. I don't make the rules.
He can date Eddie as a little treat though.

Chapter 3:
Chap 1 & Chap 2
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☪ .* :☆゚. ───
Just as Eddie said, he eventually went on tour across the USA, leaving Steve and Gimli all on their own in the house. And the worst part is that they never got a call back from the adoption agency. Now that Steve was all alone and the only  thing he thought about was the kids and kids and more kids,  eventually became a strange topic for him. After that fight with Eddie, they both agreed to wait till they were both home for enough time to take care of a child.
So he tried to spend as much time on the basketball court of the school he worked in, playing alone and trying to think of anything but Eddie or the kids. He sometimes would also use the school’s pool, to bring back the memories of him being the captain of the swimming team back in hawkins. The more he ran or swam, the less the thoughts of kids were inside his head, and the less he missed eddie. So for the past week it has become a routine to, end work, go do whatever sport he felt like doing till 7 o'clock striked. Then he would go back to his office, get his stuff and head home to Gimli.
Today was Friday, November 4, 1996. Steve was drying his hair as he walked to his classroom with the blue towel on his hands. He had just spent the last 4 hours swimming over and over again at the pool, since Robin had a date and he was all alone. Since it's friday, he would usually have a movie night with Eddie, but since he’s not there, Steve just kept his head under the water to forget his loneliness. His shoes echoed through the completely empty hall. But as Steve started walking slower he realized that wasn't the only sound in the hall. He heard soft cries and sniffs from the half open theater class.
Steve has been through enough trauma to know he shouldn’t follow the strange noise coming from the dark room, and especially if he is on his own and with nothing to defend himself with, but the cries were so heartbreaking, he didn’t even care if it was a trap. When he started working as a teacher, his empathy levels went through the roof, and whenever a kid had a slight frown on his face, something in him made him reach out and make sure that kid is not going through a hard or bad time. But still a nostalgic feeling crept over his shoulder and made him feel this slight panic on his stomach, what if it was a trap?. He immediately discarded the noise from the upside down since the last time he checked, Demogorgons don’t cry, and the gate was closed over 10 years ago. But it still could be a thief or some robber, so to defend himself. Before he could actually step into the theater class, he looked around the lockers to find a Tennis racquet which he grabbed and placed in an attack position in case of an emergency.
He took a step into the dark room to find a completely Victorian age set on the stage. It looked right out of a Shakespeare play, with deep red drapes, a large wooden table with a plastic shaped wine glass with a fake dagger next to it. But on the deep right end of the stage where a tall bed with big pillows and red velvet bedspread was located, was a dark haired girl sobbing into her hands. She was clearly under the probably fake bedspread and was wearing a black hoodie.
Steve’s teacher and mommy instinct switched on as he left the stupid tennis racquet and turned the drama class light on. The girl on the bed gasped completely shocked to realize she wasn't as alone as she was. She looked towards the door to find her Counseling teacher in the entrance.
“Mr Harrington?”
“What the hell are you doing here?!” he asked with a loud and firm voice. He really wanted to approach her and hug the life out of her, but since he was a teacher, he needed to put the authority hat on. He walked down the step while placing his towel behind his neck.
“I-I- I should go '' she stumbled out the bed as she grabbed a backpack on the floor filled with pins that loudly clashed as she moved the backpack harshly. Before she can even step out of the stage Steve is already walking up the stairs from the side stage.
“What’s going on? Why are you crying? '' He said as he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, for her to flinch and move backwards.
“It’s nothing” she sniffed
“Nothing? You’re at school on a Friday because of nothing?,” he asked rhetorically. The girl seemed amused so he just came up with a better way to open to her “How about we go back to my office i believe i have some cookies left that are about to expire”
“I-” she looked at the floor and then mumbled quietly “I… okay”
She gave in quicker than he thought, so he nudged to the office and she just nodded. She went back to the bed on the stage and removed from under the bed a sports duffle bag filled with stuff. She then picked up her sneakers and started to put them on. Steve was quick to grab her bag and put it on his shoulder to help her a bit. Once she was all laced up, they both walked to Steve's office in a tense and uncomfortable silence.
Once they got there, Steve opened his drawer and took out just what he remembered from earlier. It was an Oreo pack that was about a month old. As the young girl sat down in front of him and quickly grabbed a tissue from a little yellow box with some drawings of sheep.
“Let’s see” Steve turned them around to find the expiration date “it says it has a few days more, how about we eat them before i have to throw them”
“S-sure” she sniffed as she blew her nose.
Steve opened the package and offered the girl in front of him a cookie, which she gladly accepted. He took one for himself and left them on the table that separated them. He then crossed his arms over his chest, knowing he had to put his teacher shoes on for this conversation.
“So… School on a Friday night, sleeping on the theater bed and now eating cookies with the basketball and swimming couch… would you like to explain to me how we got here…… I’m sorry, um I don’t know your name” he says honestly which kinda made her laugh
“Julia… Bennet” she said as she swallowed her cookie and wipe the few tears she had left
“Bennet…. Is your brother Owen? He’s on the basketball team that’s why I ask” he said. He does have the parents' contact, so maybe he could take her back to her house.
Her face, though, shifted clearly. Julia looked down at her lap where her thumbs fiddled together, she nodded quietly. Steve clearly realized that maybe her brother wasn't the best subject to talk about at the moment, so he just left that information in the drawers for now.
“Now Julia, would you like to explain to me how you got here? It’s quite late, and i'm pretty sure your parents must be looking for you”
She scoffed loudly before covering her mouth with her hands while staring back at the coach.
“Im sorry” she mumbled
Steve nodded and took another cookie, as he indicated her to start talking
“Well i… I got home after school, and I invited my best friend over for a sleepover. Do you know Katya?” she asked
“Howard?”
“Yeah”
“Yeah, she’s in the swimming team”
She looked back down and her stability started to break as she let out a small sob
“Well” her voice was seconds away from breaking, but she didn’t seem to care, because she kept trying to speak as if everything was okay “we were in my room and we were just talking … then I- well she- and i….” she stumbled
“Take your time sweetie” Steve said as he pushed the oreo package towards her. She took one quickly and shoved into her mouth. After a few bites, we swallowed harshly and grabbed another tissue to wipe her eyes.
She inhaled and looked up trying to make the tears stop.
“We kissed?” she shrugged while cringing at herself “and- jesus christ…. My brother walked in and h-h-he told my d-” and after that she broke as she shoved her face on her hands and cried
Steve got off his chair to kneel next to her, placing a hand on her back and softly caressing it. He knew in that exact moment how the story continued. I mean, Eddie went through something quite similar, so he only placed the pieces on his mind and made a quick and smart decision.
“Okay, let’s go” he said as he grabbed the cookies, his own bag, and Julia’s bag.
The girl pushed her hair back asking where
“There is no way you are staying the night here, and no way I'm taking you back home. So you are gonna spend the night me, i have an extra room, and you can spend the weekend if you want to”
“Mr Harrington you don’t need-”
“I do” he interrupts and looks her in the eyes “I have to make sure you are safe, that’s my job, so now grab your stuff and let's get moving, alright?”
Julia smiled and stood up. They both walked to the only car left in the parking lot left, in complete comfortable silence. Steve placed her things on the back as she sat on the passenger looking at the cassette collection. Steve noticed she was quite interested in his favorite, so as they drove back to his house, Steve and Julia sat side by side listening to Eddie’s music. Julia seemed to know the songs quite well which made Steve smile. Once they got home, Steve took her to the guest bedroom that was usually for when anyone in the party stayed over, or anyone in Eddie’s band needed a place to crash.
“Now this is gonna be your room, we have a small bathroom attached to it, it has some products and stuff if you need. This room is quite nice because the sun doesn’t really get here till sunset, in which this room turns into this… Golden box, and my hus- roommate says” Steve smiled tightlipped
“You have a roommate?” Julia asked quite scared
“Yeah but he’s not really here for the moment. He’s currently out of town… to see family”
“Okay” she nodded
Steve then walked out to let her have her space, and to make sure the house was clean. Since Gimli is the only one home 24/7, he would push things off the tables or even take some of Eddie's clothes into the living room where he would sleep on them. So Steve was picking up some band t-shirts on the floor, some decorations and a dirty sock, when Julia came out of her room and stood on the door looking at the floor. She was wearing her pajamas, which consisted of a band t-shirt  shirt (a band that Eddie definitely would have known), and some long sweat shorts that reached her knee.
“Mr Harrington?” she called, and he instantly placed the stuff on his hand behind his back to make sure she didn’t see the mess “Are you…. Are you gonna call the cops on me?”
Even though he believed it wasn't possible, his heart broke even more.
“What?! Where did you get that from?”
“My dad…” she sniffed “he told me that… homosexual should be dead” then gasped “and… taken to jail- and i” and finally sobbed like a kid “don’t want to go to jail Mr Harrington- I swear i’ve tried to change but-”
Steve started to cry now too. He ran to her and held her as he would have held his younger self. The way he would have held tiny steve, comforting him, telling him that being confused over his sexuality is normal. She buried her head on his chest sobbing loudly. So loud that Steve didn’t hear the door opening.
“Honey! Im Home-” Eddie yells but stops as he witnesses the single most cutest thing ever. His husband was holding an 11 year old girl who was crying.
“Eddie?” Steve looked up to see him holding a bouquet of flowers and a duffle bag “wha-”
And what happened next was just a blur. It was a mix of both grown ups crying because they missed each other, and the small girl crying at the comfort both adults gave her as they told her that being queer isn’t illegal and that they would protect her in any way possible. Even though Eddie didn’t really know who she was, he comforted her and told him his experience of getting kicked out of the house for his sexuality and how at the end of the day it was for the best. Later at night the three of them, and Gimli of course, curled up on the couch and ended up watching the old VHS tape of Mary Poppins. Julia, who was on the edge of the couch with the fat, short, orange cat on her lap, fell asleep by the end of the movie, and so did Steve. Eddie, knowing his husband had a rough day, stood up and carried the girl to the guest bedroom.
She stirred awake as he left her on the bed
“Shhh shhh, it's okay, don’t be scared, '' he whispered. “I'm just leaving you at bed, okay? Nothing else”
Julia’s eyes fluttered and looked up at the adult who had his face covered by his hair
“T-thank you” she murmured under her breath as she took the duvet and covered her shoulder “mr..”
“Call me Eddie kiddo'' he winked as he kneeled in front of her “and, it's the least we could do. Beside” he felt a small purr and lean on his legs to look down at the cat who seemed to want to get on the bed “It looks like Gimli the Dweeb seems to like you” He took the cat and left it next to the girl who smiled at the sight of the cat.
“He’s really fat” she laughed
“Yeah he is” Eddie smiled as he scratched the head of the cat. “Now” he stood up softly and looked down at the girl “what do you want for breakfast tomorrow? We usually have some leftover waffles and if not I could make you some pancakes, how about that?”
Her eyes lit up at the thought and she just nodded quickly while biting her lip to stop herself from smiling. Something that Eddie copied realizing that the fact of seeing a girl so happy made him happy. He messed up her hair and left the room, leaving the door half an inch open just like Wayne used to do when he was a kid.
As he was out of the room, he saw Steve sleeping soundly. Eddie woke him up and took him to bed. He changed his clothes and tucked him in, and then it was his turn. Once they were both on the bed, Steve curled up into Eddie bare chest, Eddie dared to speak.
“So” he started as he turned off the lamp “who the kid we are babysitting?”
Steve lets out a laughy breath through his nose
“Her name is Julia. I- i found her at school, apparently she was gonna spend the night there”
“What happened?” Eddie asked as he played with the boy’s hair “why did she get kicked out?”
“Um… she told me that she invited her best friend to sleep over and they kissed, her brother walked in and ratted her out to her dad. She didn’t say much after that, so i just guess he kicked her out and left her friend at her house”
“Wow… can’t believe 20 years later this shit still happens” Eddie sighs as shakes his head “the worst part is that its probably not gonna stop”
“I know” Steve started redrawing Eddie's chest tattoo of a bat. “I just didn’t expect it from his brother. He’s usually so nice and like… not homophobic”
“Not everyone who looks like good people are good people” Eddie shrugs
“Mhm”
The room falls silent.
“Thank you for bringing her here” Eddie then says “I'm really thankful that she didn’t go through what I did. And you being there is like wayne being there for me, so really thank you”
Steve raised and kissed Eddie in the lips for the first time in the day. They mumble “I love you”’s as they snuggle till they both fall asleep and the Harrington Munson household goes quiet.

O!Steve who ran away from his filthy rich parents after they tried to drug and force him into an arranged marriage with a man twice his dad's age.
During his time working at the night club as a bartender, he met Kas who was known to be the biggest fish around there. No one knew where the man came from, but one thing they could be 100% sure of was that Kas came from old money. The kind that could buy someone's life in a heartbeat.
Steve had been wary of Kas at first. All the rumors about Kas being ruthless and cold hearted was enough for him to keep his distance. He didn't need to get caught up in another lair of wolves when he'd just escaped one.
Even from afar, he could tell the man was an alpha. Six feet tall, sharp jawline, dark wild eyes, straight nose, and unkempt mane were his first impression of Kas. Against his better judgement, he couldn't help but watch Kas, observing, obsessing over every movement, every smile and smirk and grin that appeared on Kas' handsome face.
His little crush would've gone unnoticed if nothing happened.
But then one day, he was called to go serve a patron in the bar's private room.
"I'm not even a stripper!" He exclaimed in bewilderment.
"He asked for you," Billy said and leveled him with a serious look. "But if you don't want to do this job anymore, you can quit right now. Hand back your uniform and leave as you will."
Steve bit his lip until he tasted blood. He knew everything wasn't as simple. There were contracts and then the contractual indemnity that he could hardly afford in his current situation. Maybe if he was still a Harrington, which he hadn't been for a year now and he couldn't go back unless he wanted to be sent right into hell.
Billy smirked around the burning cigarette, icy blue eyes flashed smugly, and raised a brow at him.
Wordlessly, Steve sighed, squared his shoulders, and put on his game face before pushing the door to step inside.
"What can I do for you, sir?" He smiled, feeling how fake it was on his face, and tried to will his heart to stop jumping out of his chest because lounging on the couch was none other than Kas—his literal wet dream.
Since the lights in here were brighter than in the bar, he could see that Kas was wearing a black tank top with leather pants, combat boots that were left unlaced, chains and rings and silvers.
He gulped dryly at those tattooed corded arms that looked like they could crush his bones, at the thick thighs that were man spreading, at the intense gaze that focused on him. Although Kas was just sitting there—silent and still—Steve felt like he was preyed on by a lion.
And then there was Kas' scent. Apparently, this man didn't believe in the whole good manners go with good blockers, because the room was packed with earthy musk and sandalwood the second he entered the room and nearly knocked him off his feet.
Steve wasn't sure how long could he keep himself in check considering his panties were thoroughly slick and his pants were in a real danger of getting ruined.
"C'mere," Kas finally spoke, all lazy and laid back, but Steve wasn't fooled in the slightest.
When he stopped between those wide spread legs, his body was flushed with heat.
"Sit." Kas patted on his thigh and Steve, though complied, still let out an embarrassed noise as he straddled the alpha of his dream and felt a broad hand splay on his lower back to hold him secure.
While Steve was distracted by the toned muscles under his butt and how warm and big and good smelling Kas was, a ringed hand reached up to hold his chin and used it to tilted his head slightly, thumbing his split bottom lip gently.
"Who hurt you?"
Steve took in the heavy frown between Kas' brows, the grim line on Kas' mouth, the protectiveness that just oozed in waves from the older man, and felt his heart hiccup.
Oh no.
He blinked, and smiled his real smile despite knowing it was a bad idea.
"Me, sir."
Kas regarded him with an unreadable look, peeling off all of his layers and leaving him bare. It pinned Steve in place and for a brief mortifying second, he thought he was going into an early heat.
As if reading his mind, Kas released his chin and let that hand wandered down to his waist.
"Call me Eddie," the alpha said suddenly. "It's my real name. Eddie Munson."
Steve opened his mouth and then closed it. He knew Kas— no, Eddie was wealthy but the Munson? They weren't just rich, they were Rich. And they were also involved in a lot of shady businesses. Both from the government and the underworld. Which, as someone who didn't grew up in that kind of circle, Steve shouldn't know. But it was too late to pretend because his mask had slipped and Eddie had caught the flash of recognition on his face.
But instead of questioning his identity, Eddie just gazed at him softly and asked.
"Wanna go home with me?"
"I– What?" Steve stammered, nonplussed. "You mean–"
"Maybe when you're ready one day," Eddie said, which made him feel strangely disappointed. "Hey, don't look at me like that. I'll give you anything as long as you ask nicely, alright?" He smiled and continued when Steve nodded. "What I meant is for you to quit your job at this place and come live with me. I'll provide you with everything you need. Money, clothes, jewelry, cars, houses, lands. Just name it and it'll be yours."
Steve was rightfully confused at this point. And also terribly turned on. Sue him. He had a Thing for men who treated him nicely, okay? And yeah, it sounded like a scam. No one had seen what Eddie Munson looked like before. The man always hid behind a mask and never had his photos taken by anyone who weren't from the Munson family.
But Steve was also pretty sure that he felt a rather deep connection with this alpha, and it didn't help that he was already obsessed with the sandalwood scent. And still, before he said yes, he blurted out his only burning question.
"Why me?"
Eddie leaned in and nosed at the hinge of his jaw.
"Because, my little darlin', we are scent mates."

the Harringtons are the kind of parents to entirely ignore their omega son, Steve, but still opt him out of comprehensive sex ed in school
they even have the nerve to act surprised and outraged when he gets pregnant his senior year, as if he was supposed to know that letting teammates use his pussy would result in a baby?
poor little rich Steve Harrington with all the popularity money can buy and all the common sense he’s been “protected” from because of it
why are his parents mad that he’s gained weight? why are all the alphas at school being mean to him now and calling him names instead of making him feel good like they used to?
he doesn’t understand why his parents are allowed to kick him onto the street just because he’s 18 now, he still relies on them for everything
by the time Wayne Munson finds him on the side of the road in the rain, pregnant and pathetic, Steve has given up all hope of life going back to normal
he doesn’t even know enough to be wary
Wayne himself is a bit horrified that Steve doesn’t seem afraid of a strange alpha bringing him back to his house, but he’s a good man and he has a nephew Steve’s age so he involves himself in the Harrington mess nonetheless
he tells Steve that he can stay at their place and they’ll take care of him as long as he needs
Steve isn’t sure whether to believe it, but he doesn’t have any other options at the moment
Eddie however is annoyed at what Wayne’s dragged home with him
as if life wasn’t hard enough, now they’re going to house the town slut with them too? there’s barely enough room for the two of them to begin with and now they have Steve
Wayne doesn’t allow that sort of talk though
he tells Eddie to really look at Steve. look at the confused young omega with a growing belly and no life skills that didn’t even know enough to find shelter from the rain
sending him out would be a death sentence
Steve probably wouldn’t last a day out there alone
Eddie can’t help but feel like shit when Steve flinches away from him
he’s never touched Steve before. it wasn’t his idea of a good time to fuck with an omega who didn’t say ‘no’ to anyone who asked
but the longer Steve stays with them, the more he realizes that Steve wasn’t saying ‘yes’ either
so they show Steve how to be an omega by being the alphas in his life that he needs. they take care of him, keep him safe, give him a place to make a nest, teach him that he deserves respect and love from his pack
they’re not omegas, but they find Joyce Byers to show him the mothering stuff as his pup keeps growing inside him and brings unanswered questions
she explains all of the things they can’t and even covers the details he missed as a pup himself about mating and courting and how babies are made
after a couple of lessons with her, Steve comes back to the trailer and asks Eddie to be his mate
he may be a little behind, but he understands this
Eddie has been the one protecting him. the alpha gave up his bed for Steve and has been sleeping on the pull-out for months
Eddie got a real job to help out with the bills and afford the extra food for Steve and his pregnancy appetite
Eddie is the one who calls him pretty, respects his space, holds him when he’s sad
he’s a good alpha
Eddie is dumbfounded by the proposal
of course in the back of his mind he’d been wondering when it was appropriate to court Steve and ask to be the pup’s father, but the last thing he wanted to do was take advantage of an omega that the world had already chewed up and spit out
“You’re my alpha and you love me, so we should be mates,” Steve insists
and who is Eddie to argue with that logic?
Wayne isn’t surprised by the budding romance between the boys, but he does give Eddie a hell of a talk about treating Steve right
Eddie and Steve welcome their pup a week later
