HE  SITS  ALONE.  furtively  glancing  over  his  shoulder.  the  plate  of  hot,  crispy  buttered  toast  has  arrived  —  it’s  been  too  long.  he’s  woken  up  excessively  early,  snuck  out  so  that  the  possibility  of  getting  interrupted  is  low.  low,  not  impossible.  with  a  cup  of  steaming  milk  tea  he’ll  pretend  compares  to  chai,  it’s  almost  the  perfect  morning !     /.   @stcfvnia​

being reunited with the polish family had been a bittersweet surprise, to put it lightly. it was such an odd feeling — the butterflies in his stomach everytime peter saw pictures of stefania on the papers or the news. but seeing her in person? nothing could’ve prepared the slovene for that. not the first time, nor the third, nor the tenth. there was something he wasn’t quite ready to address that kept driving him to her; like gravity, but more inconvenient. but, they were friends, so it was good. right? if he told himself that enough, he’d believe it. the guilt never left, though. but for his own sake, he hid it as best as he could. that was yet another door he wasn’t ready nor willing to open. “stef,” he grinned with the ring to a keyfob dangling from his fingers. “how would you feel about an amateur tour of rome?”

hm... i for one have my eye on LUCA & STEFANIA. our king with a heart of gold and the party princess turned responsible queen ?? tell me more ! or how about RHIANNON & PETER ?? now there’s an engagement to keep an eye on ! and of course i am still rooting for dearest AMON & LEONOR. with a ship name like amor, how could i not ?

“Your highness” Miray greeted with an easy smile. “Esmeray, It’s a pleasure to meet you.” she finished. For all it was worth this was the first time that night Salvatore had left her alone with a family member. Truthfully she should have retreated to a corner until his return - making conversation with the Savoia’s was in itself a herculean task. But Salvatore at least saved her from having to pronounce any names or answer most of their questions. She had nosy aunts too - she didn’t need to deal with his. But here she was and to turn and pretend to not see the Queen of Poland seemed like an international crisis waiting to happen. “Salvatore should be back any second if you wished to speak to him”

“Something tells me I should’ve entered the program a lot earlier,” he mused as he surveyed his surroundings. “Then again, perhaps it’s for the best I missed Argentina. I heard it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.” He wasn’t sure why he’d gone the small talk route, must’ve been a holdover from his days at the embassy.

“okay, tell me what happened at the coronation. i’m so glad i skipped, if it’s apparently resulted in another death,” luca shrugs. that was all that seemed to happen these days, “and - i know you keep sending me stuff about tokyo disneyland but... i can’t, right now. i, um, i’ve got some thins going on with the girls. it’ll - i promise i’ll let you know?” as if that wasn’t cryptic and stupid. god, they’d spoken just a bit about telling people, and now here luca was, about to blow it the first chance he got.
