found this cool cave today and saw the weird bumbs on the wall, its like a hornets nest but when i stuck my head into the hole no hornets came out to greet me. i decided to stay the night here but that was the worst decision i made. god must hate me i could not leave the cave got my foot and toes stuck in one of thoes holes. probabvly squirmed in there when i was sleepin. worst part is the fire next to me was wayy to hot and puttin out by trying to spit at the wood didnt help at all. not all hope was lost. some little guys game around trottin in a line and i was so hungry my tounge reached longer to pick em up and keep me runnin for a few more days. Hope I get out soon, dont wanna miss tommrow mornings mud huntin.

"i  know  i  ain't  gonna  be  easy,  but  we  got  time,  right?  don't  see  us  goin'  anywhere  else  for  a  while."  the  question  would  be  where,  too.  this  ...  whatever  this  was  that  had  ended  life  as  they  knew  it  was  everywhere.  there  were  reports  about  people  going  dying  &  coming  back  worldwide  before  communications  went  down.  so  it  wasn't  like  they  could  just  steal  a  boat  &  get  away  from  it  all.  he  also  doubted  their  supplies  would  last  them  long  enough  to  make  it  to  europe  ...  or  asia.  no,  thank  you.  maybe  they  just  had  to  hold  out,  surely  someone  ...somewhere  was  working  on  a  fix.  a  cure  or  ...  something.  this  couldn't  be  the  end  ....end,  could  it?

fuck,  he  shouldn't  think  about  that  now.  focus  on  the  now,  focus  on  this  group,  focus  on  yourself.  shaking  his  head  a  little,  he  let  his  gaze  roam  the  newly-acquired  living  space;  typical  office.  desks,  chairs,  drawers,  some  dead,  some  plastic  plants,  trashcans,  some  shelves,  computers  that  no  longer  had  a  use.  they  could  toss  most  of  it  or  recycle  it.  that  ..  was  partially  why  andrew  was  here  with  him.  "if  we're  gonna  stay  here,  i  was  thinkin'  maybe  we  should  try'n  plant.  we  got  big-ass  fuckin'  windows  for  sunlight  an'  if  we  can  get  water  goin',  find  some  seeds...  y'know...?"  that  was  for  the  window  area  anyway.  the  rest  of  the  floor?  he  wasn't  sure  yet.  he  knew  some  wanted  an  area  to  practice  fighting  in  that  wasn't  right  by  the  tents  downstairs.  he'd  propose  giving  them  all  more  private  space  by  splitting,  but  ...  bad  idea.  very  bad. 

"so...  what're  ya  thinkin'?" he had his shoulder in a sling, though the hurt one came up into a shrug as well. "any ideas you got, i'm with ya."

Grant smirked as Drew pulled him in closer to him, the doctor staring down at the other male. "Of course I'd be happy to support you in any way I can." Grant laughed clearly reading between the lines leaning down he couldn't help himself he kissed Drew, sealing his lips over the other man's in a soft by definite kiss with intention. His other free hand moving to caress the other's chest gently, feeling him up.

"I have to admit to you that I have been admiring you from afar for awhile now. I just had no reason to talk to you and I wasn't quite sure where you stood in terms of...this." he said with a little smirk as he cupped Drew's face gently in one hand his thumb dragging along his jawline. "You know you could have come to see me before you got hurt. I'd have been happy to tend to you either way."

Grant was offering him more time together in the future. He was also clearly flirting with Drew. It was clear to him now that Grant was interested. This didn't seem like the right time for such a thing but Drew didn't know when else he'd have the chance. Things in this world could be unexpected. People could die at any time. Why not take a chance? Especially if it meant having Grant all to himself for a night.

Drew's eyes slowly fluttered open. He caught Grant staring down at his lips. The wrist he'd taken was slowly pulled on. He had Grant shuffle closer until he was standing right beside Drew in the chair. "Would you like to support me in other ways?" His lips curled into a smile as his eyes wandered Grant's chest. Maybe he would be getting lucky today. He just needed Grant to take that first step.

Some may of jumped when they heard another's voice speak to them when they thought they were alone. However, Joshua wasn't so easily spooked and as he lifted his gaze from the clipboard to the male, he watched him placing the can by his feet. "That goes over there." Joshua instructed as he pointed his pen he was holding to a nearby shelve.

Joshua wasn't a germaphobe or anything but he wasn't one to freely touch another person. Might be due to being without his husband but Joshua had not touched another since the outbreak. "No touching." He said in a firm tone glancing to the hand offered to him. "Drew who came to fix the electrical box? Good thing someone who finally sent to fix it. How am I meant to take charge of our stock when the lights keep flickering and the fridges keep turning off?"

While inspecting the electrical wiring for the building, Drew found himself close to the EICS office. He noticed the other man stepping inside so he brought his tools with him. Drew set-up near the electrical box before opening it. He glanced back to Joshua and noticed the man counting some of their inventory. The man spoke, but it seemed to be to himself and not necessarily Drew. They didn't seem crazy, though.

Drew let his hands fall from the electrical box before he reached for one of the cans on the ground. "Was this something you were missing? I think I noticed another one by those boxes near the door." One of the cans was placed down beside Joshua. Andrew then offered one of his hands to the handsome man doing inventory. "I'm Drew, by the way. Not sure if we met after arriving." He was happy to meet now, at least.

jack couldn't help the soft smile that formed on his lips as he watched the other survivors cheeks warming, it was cute. "maybe it is, maybe it isn't i'm gonna say no comment." he'd missed this, flirting, teasing someone, just having banter with people, it'd felt like a long ass time since he had been able to do this with someone. maybe it was a dangerous game to play, but he was going to go with it, just live in the moment.

"awh, you're so cute when you're begging." bringing one of his hands from behind his back, he wasn't gonna show him what he had gotten him just yet, he was especially not gonna mention that he had went way out of his way to find said items. jack began using sign language, so that only he and andrew could communicate. say pretty please, he signed, teasing grin resting on his rough features, letting the batteries twirl between his fingers behind his back.

jack moved closer and seemed to have something tucked behind his back. drew's eyebrows raised slightly as he waited for the big reveal. when it didn't come, he relaxed a bit. it didn't help that he was being teased by the other man. drew's cheeks warmed as he looked away. "is that such a bad thing?" in a world like this, it was dangerous to care about others. especially when they ventured out so often.

one hand moved upwards to grip jack's strong arm. drew met the man's gaze and tugged softly. "come on. show me what you brought back." drew's eyes were softer, just like his words. part of him was hoping to see the small batteries he needed for the hearing aid. then again, a more sentimental present would be just as appreciated. even with the short time they'd known each other, he'd grown to like jack.
