They don't bother me as much anymore, but I feel you with heights. I remember back in grade school, on the playground jungle gym, there was a chain ladder that was just barely even 5 high and numerous occasions I tried to climb it only to to get to maybe the middle rung and nearly start crying because I was convinced I was gonna fall and mangle myself.

HHHH I do not think I like this!

One time, with my siblings, we were visiting some countryside part of the family, bored out of our minds, when the older of us (I was the middle kid in this trio) decides, hey, let’s go climbing! I ain’t no bitch staybehind so yeah let’s do this, even though I didn’t like the idea of getting my clothes DIRTY because I like to be CLEAN, but hey, it was something to do.

Except, we don’t climb this very tall hill by walking around and finding footing, my brother, who is kind of a huge moron, starts climbing the sheer face. Grabbing rocks and praying to the Hiking Patrons we wouldn’t fall and break our skeletons. This was 0% a good idea but, again, mamma didn’t raise no bitch, and I had a reputation as a baller to keep, which is the most important thing in life for a teen, so whatever! Let’s go! We climb this very tall (6~ stories tall) cliff face just by grabbing on and hoping what we just grabbed wasn’t loose. I was doing decent until I looked down and realized, yeah, I was five-ish stories high right now, and any accident would just completely mangle me on the fall.

Mm!Not a fan, gotta say!

So I took a deep breath, cursed loudly, and started climbing as fast as I could without looking back so I could just get this over with to hide the fear.

And that’s when I learned I was afraid of heights!
