I was trying to figure out how to describe Sofie Royer and I thought, she's kind of the yacht-rock Lana Del Rey, which she really isn't, but it's an amusing turn of phrase I'm inclined to adopt to describe a certain sort of 80s influenced lugubrious soft rock. Fabiana Palladino might fit, as would Sonia Stein. IDER mostly don't fit, except for the gated drums. Siights are a bit more on the Fleetwood-Mac-via-Haim side of the spectrum, while New Constellations tip over into synthpop.

BABXHF- no but considering how slim his dress pants are, he would greatly benefit from them 💥💥 it would look disastrous if a mid-calf sock ever slipped with those sorts of pants, so it necessitates the garters- considering how custom the rest of Crowley’s outfit looks, I don’t think he’d wear elasticized socks- finely knitted silk all the way!!!💥💥💥 <- lame justification

🧐 it is generally considered archaic in modern menswear because of the existence of elastine and spandex…sock garters are typically used for a deliberate fashion statement, and even then people get called old men for that NABCBF- it’s typically more function than fashion, (although there was a period where sock garters were very colorful, and later on men matched their sock garters with their suspenders despite both being hidden under their clothing.)but it’s fitting, no? Especially since they were much more common in the early 20th century.

But sock garters would be a dream come true ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 I acknowledge they look utterly ridiculous in some contexts- but you just need to recontextualize it a little and then it all makes sense why it’s so attractive 🔫 plus Crowley is also a silly bird man 😌↕️
