(I did some work to this piece post-art fight, because the attack version felt unfinished but I hadn't had the time to poke at it and get it where I wanted. Below the cut are some of the iterations:

People keep calling ep 10 rushed. And, like, what do I know, but to me it very much feels purposeful.

First you get some happiness. Sort of to lure you in, but also to make everything that happens more devastating.

and then once shit starts happening, you don't get a second to breathe. Things just keep happening. Keep spiraling. Keep getting worse. So that by the end of the episode, you feel emotionally raw, just like the characters do. You're there with them.

The cool thing about me is that people could commission me to draw hard gore body horror and other grotesque stuff bc I know artists like that aren't always easy to find and I'd be very down to draw that stuff bc I'm a horror fan/artist myself. The thing is nobody's commissioning me to do that but I'm putting it out there..

okay but to be perfectly honest the moment grayson threatened jean about knowing where he lives, the first thought that went through my head was "if jean called neil with this information right now, neil would probably take care of it no questions asked." and then when neil asked his uncle about people taking on local work or whatever i instantly knew he was about to put a hit out on grayson. it boggled my mind that jean didn't get it until much, much later, but i get it. he has never been inside neil's head after all, he doesn't know what to expect
