One year since opening night of the Eras tour🫶🏼 I don’t think any of us ever thought this would turn into what it is now lol. It’s crazy when you let someone have an influence over your life from such a young age, how it can stem into something so rare and beautiful that the rest of the world has to experience it too. Seeing the opening night of a Taylor tour was something I dreamed about since I was a child and I still can’t believe I did it. It just feels extra surreal that out of all of them, it was eras. Taylor as a human being and artist has done more for me than I would ever be able to express in words. I feel a love for her and connection to her that I hope everyone gets to experience at one point in their life. The kind of magic, light, and love that she helped billions of people experience on this tour is something the world is no longer taking for granted. She makes life so exciting for me, like I want to live it even when it’s so hard. A year ago today I was at a job I absolutely hated that tore me down every single day I went to work. My mom just got diagnosed with cancer, and I was struggling on how to deal with the fact that I was basically forced out of my childhood home. There was so much going on that I felt like I was drowning. I was so lost and sad and every day felt like a burden I could barely handle. This girl really threw me a lifeline in a time when I needed it most, and she’s been doing that for me since I was so tiny, literally the age that my students are now. In reality, I pulled myself out of that dark place, but it helped to have someone familiar, hardworking, and genuine that I could see myself in. She’s taught me never to apologize for being emotional and expressing it, and that sometimes it can be your greatest strength. In a world where people are hard and two faced and often afraid to channel emotions, she’s always been the opposite of that. I’m not embarrassed (never have been lol) to say that I’m grateful to live in a world where Taylor Swift exists at the same time as I do. And I’ve always been grateful to have a strong female to look up to, while becoming one myself. I love you forever and always, to the moon and to Saturn 🪐. @taylorswift @fianllyclean
