I always consider it to be that while Starscream is probably shouting "I hate Skyfire! He's the worst" in public but then disappears and sobs about how much he misses Sky.

#but in peace time i can see tc and skyfire getting along

This gives me the idea of TC and Sky becoming friends post war, maybe getting together, talking about human stuff. TC shows him some movies. Meanwhile Star is getting progressively more jealous at the idea that TC is getting on with Skyfire better than him.
