Andrei spends his summers in Kazan, Russia… His older brother, Evgeny, was drafted 19th overall by Detroit in 2015, and Andrei chose the number 37 because that’s the number Evgeny wore with the Red Wings… Andrei started playing hockey at the age of 3, and his family had the biggest influence on his career… The best advice he’s ever been given is always be confident… His favorite player growing up was Pavel Bure… His favorite movie is Never Give Up and his favorite actress is Angelina Jolie… Andrei’s favorite vacation destination is Turkey, his favorite restaurant is Ocean Prime and his favorite food is steak with sweet potatoes… His biggest talent outside of hockey is magic, and his favorite sport other than hockey is soccer… His favorite road city is Las Vegas, and the person he’d most like to meet in Conor McGregor… Andrei says his favorite thing about playing in the NHL is that it’s “hard fun,” and his most memorable hockey moment was scoring in overtime against Montreal for the 20th goal of his rookie season on March 24, 2019.
