Ah thank you!! A man by any other face was one of the more challenging for me to write - it took some serious editing to fill out the potential of my flimsy first draft - but all the more satisfying to eventually finish it and be pleased with it. And I'm touched that you enjoy my Uraya so much! I had a ton of fun writing them (especially when targeting Essek's dignity) and that was one of the things that buoyed me through the editing process.

      laughter.   what  a  weird  thing  to  hear  at  camp,  after  all.   it  was  sort  of  a  tomb,  when  you  thought  about  it,  left  them  all  there  to  rot.   as  long  as  he  can  see  the  morning  sun,  malakai  will  never  falter.  he's  laughing,  now.   pale  cheeks  stained  pink,  something  rhys  had  said  making  him  explode  in  laughter  and  enjoyment.   the  unclaimed  demigod  was  funny,  truly...   too  much,  for  mal's  wellbeing.  hands  crawled  through  blonde  curls  as  he  turned  to  look  back  at  him.   ❝   what  the  hell,  rhys?   ❞   his  lips  pulled  into  a  smile,  comfortable  as  he  rested  against  the  wall,  sitting  on  the  bed.  cabin  eleven  wasn't  that  bad,  after  all.

    ❛  who  the  fuck  thought  this  would  be  a  good  idea?  ❜  you  did,  alejandra.  because  you  bite  off  more  than  you  can  chew  and  bring  rhys  into  it  every  time. ugh.  she  pauses, ❛  ...let  me  try  something. ❜  there's  a  beat  of  pause  while  she  conjures  the  air  around  her,  coming  through  whatever  ventilation  this  cave  could  possibly  have  –  the  energy  produces  sparks,  the  barest  amount  of  electricity. not  enough, but  something. 

      when  she  looks  back  to  rhys  she's  slightly  more  hopeful,  though  she  can't  help  but  turn  back  the  way  they  came  and  shrug,  ❛  you  think  we'll  get  in  trouble  if  we  run?  ❜  if  they  make  it  back? ABSOLUTELY.

SOMETHING DOWN HERE BREATHES ! it's breath so large and strong that it pushes like a gust of wind down the tunnel 𝚝𝚘𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖; tossing alejandra's hair around her shoulders, and scattering rhys' too across his forehead. however it is not until the whistle of a sharp inhale which follows, that rhys realizes just how deep 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢'𝚟𝚎 𝚍𝚞𝚐 is.

Home of Herd Bellasara and Herd Airistos

Settlements on the ground include Canter Downs (home to the region's largest stables), Canter Hollow (home to Bagatella Row and Artisan's Way, split by a river and connected by the Fountain Plaza), Rolandsgaard Outskirts (connecting Canter Hollow and the Castle), Rolandsgaard Castle, and Darkcomb Hedge

Settlements in the sky include Windhome Skylands floating over Naastrand Sound and Overgaard Skylands floating over the land. Airistos Castle sits on the largest island in Windhome Skylands.

Other man-made points of interest include Roland's Hold Arena, the Bazaar, Starguide Lighthouse, Stonelory, and the Bookends
