Cookie Run OCs: Beast Cookies

I literally cannot stop thinking about these little abominations that invaded my head one day and have refused to leave me be ever since. So, rather than suffering in absolute silence (and continuously subjecting Lix to my nonsensical ramblings), I've decided to make a little summary/introduction post to yap about these little lads.

As always, feel free to send any questions into my inbox. Honestly, I am VERY nervous to post this stuff. Not because I think they're bad or anything, but because I'm just nervous to share my stuff and put myself out there.

Also, please note that the quotes I included are experimental. To test how the Cookies might talk.

~Crystalline Water Cookie~

Type: Ambush. Position: Middle. Pronouns: She/Her. Virtue: Justice. Successor: Sea Fairy Cookie receives her authority over water, but her Soul Jam/Virtue has no successor. Status: Deceased. Inspiration: Focalors/Furina (Genshin Impact).

The Cookie imbued with the Virtue of Justice, commonly referred to as the Lady of the Waters. She is one of the only two Virtues who did not fall to corruption, and was the second to perish. She assisted the Witches in imprisoning the other Beast Cookies and, following her discovery of Beast-Yeast's corrupted Life Energy and consultation with Millennial Tree Cookie, sacrificed both her Life Powder and her Virtue to remove the impurities created by her old companions. She is the creator of Sea Fairy Cookie, who she transferred her authority over all bodies of water to and dubbed the new guardian.

She's blind, and has been from her creation. In-universe, this is where the saying of "justice is blind" comes from. However, she does have the ability to see Cookies' souls with the power of her Virtue, which allows her to see through lies and deception.

Her Soul Jam takes the form of an azure droplet, and is positioned in the middle of her chest.

Her body is buried at the bottom of the Silver Tree, and the roots grew around it.

Although she's long deceased and doesn't make a proper appearance, she would have several cameos across Beast-Yeast-related portions of the story. She would be especially prominent during the section for Shadow Milk Cookie.

"From the moment I was baked, I have walked a fine line between right and wrong. I have seen many evil deeds and have faced many villains. I never thought... I would see my own friends as my enemies."

~Abundant Butter Cookie~

Type: N/A. Position: N/A. Pronouns: She/Her. Virtue: Compassion. Successor: Frosted Sugar Cookie (reincarnation). Status: Deceased. Inspiration: First Grain Cookie (Witch's Castle).

The Cookie imbued with the Virtue of Compassion, commonly referred to as the Guardian of the Fields. She is one of the only two Virtues who did not fall to corruption, and was the first to perish. She was the first to take a stand against the other Beasts for their acts of villainy and, after a fierce battle that lasted for many days, ended up crumbling at their hands. An act that, although accidental, set them apart from Crystalline Water Cookie forever. Her physical form crumbled away, but her Life Powder- and her Virtue- eventually found their way to the gentle embrace of the Sugar Swan.

Although Frosted Sugar Cookie is her reincarnation, she does not have any of Abundant Butter Cookie's memories, and the two should be treated as separate individuals. (Also, as an aside, Frosted Sugar Cookie is NOT considered an Ancient Hero)

Her Soul Jam takes the form of a golden sphere, which vaguely resembles the shape of an apple. It's positioned atop her head, fixed to a crown-like headpiece.

She's a supporter, not a fighter herself. While she is capable of holding her own, this is a large part of why she was ultimately crumbled by the others.

If she were to (hypothetically) be playable, she would most likely be of the Healing type. The reason she lacks that information is because Frosted Sugar Cookie, being her reincarnation and harboring her Virtue, would essentially fill the playable role for her.

"The land's resources should be shared amongst everyone! If we live as a community, we should be willing to help those in need! Come, come- let us prepare a hearty, satisfying feast for when the others arrive!"

~Resplendent Oil Cookie~

Type: Support. Position: Rear. Pronouns: They/Them. Virtue: Beauty. Successor: Candied Pecan Cookie. Status: Alive. Inspiration: Black Sugar Swan Cookie (Ovenbreak).

The Cookie imbued with the Virtue of Beauty, commonly referred to as the Jewel of True Beauty. Once upon a time, when the world of Earthbread was still young, they could find beauty and value in anyone or anything. But as time went on, the imperfections of Cookiekind became clear to them, and they grew disdainful and judgemental. After all, why should the embodiment of Beauty have to find the value of such feeble Cookies? A world where beauty prevails is a world where the hideous cannot persist, and all that is deemed filthy or ugly will be eradicated.

Following their imprisonment, their Virtue of Beauty was split into two. They wield the Light of Vanity, the counterpart to their successor's Light of Acceptance.

Their Soul Jam takes the form of a green oval on their stomach.

They were one of the last Beast Cookies to become corrupted.

As of right now, they're the least developed of the four.

"Why should I look for pieces of beauty in others when I can see complete beauty in my own reflection? If Cookies want me to gaze upon them, they should work on meeting my standards."

~Aromatic Extract Cookie~

Type: Ranged. Position: Rear. Pronouns: He/Him. Virtue: Creativity. Successor: Maple Honey Cookie. Status: Alive. Inspiration: Strawberry Crepe Cookie (Kingdom), Alice (Alice in Wonderland; also, "I Only Paint in Red Now" by Lydia the Bard)

The Cookie imbued with the Virtue of Creativity, commonly referred to as the Champion of the Arts. Gifted with a vivid imagination and a natural talent for creation, he was the inventor of many of Cookiekind's fundamental pieces of technology. He showed Cookies how to tap into their creative side and bring their ideas to fruition. Alas, it would only be so long before he began to experiment with less noble ideas, regardless of the disasters left behind by his handiwork. For one's creativity to truly flourish, they must free themself from the binds of reality.

Following his imprisonment, his Virtue of Creativity was split into two. He wields the Light of Exhaustion, the counterpart to his successor's Light of Innovation.

His Soul Jam takes the form of a black octagon, which is embedded in his forehead.

He was one of the first Beast Cookies to become corrupted.

He is the most drastically different from his initial concept, where he wielded the Light of Perfection.

"Oh, this next idea is gonna be so much fun! The possibilities are nearly endless! Endless, I tell you! ... Eh? What's that? We're running low on resources already!? Then we'll just have to pay some of our dear 'friends' a visit! I need those materials more than those short-lived wastes of dough!"

~Afterword~

Since these are, obviously, OCs and would have a significant impact on the lore, it's safe to say that many of the canon characters are also different in this universe because of their existence. For starters, Shadow Milk Cookie is the most dramatically different as of right now. Eternal Sugar Cookie is a close second, but due to the very limited information we have regarding her character, all that I have for her is largely speculation and derived from fanmade content.

Coming up with the Virtues, and then splitting them into positive and negative qualities, was the hardest part of this process. That's a big part of why I decided to do something different with the Virtue of Justice and the Virtue of Compassion; it just made it more convenient for me to... not have to worry about the corruption aspect. But before I got to the Virtues, deciding what standard baking ingredients I wanted to use was a hassle on its own. That brings me to my next point, which is an honorable mention to a Beast Cookie OC who did not make the cut.

Nocturnal Molasses Cookie, the Virtue of Determination. He didn't make it very far in his development, primarily because I simply didn't want to deal with 5 Beast Cookie OCs as opposed to 4, and also because his character was giving me SO much trouble during conceptualization. However, his intended successor, Ghost Mushroom Cookie, has a very good chance of being kept. And that's not to say that Nocturnal Molasses is getting scrapped entirely- he may get recycled into a new character, one that isn't a Beast Cookie. But for right now, he's just... nonexistent. He exists in my heart but not in my lore.

ANYWAY, if you made it all the way to the end of this, thank you for taking the time to read about my sillies!!! Honestly, I have so many Cookie Run OCs (probably too many), but my Beast Cookie OCs are very special to me. I care more about them than I do my Ancient Hero OCs, who I honestly kinda made only out of the obligation to have successors for the Beasts' Soul Jams.

Mia’s uncommon fear is another one of her lovers dying. Her common fear is that something happens to her mother, Nanette.

Do they have any pet peeves?

Cookie’s existence.

Her signature vanilla body spray and loose tampons and condoms 

What do they notice first in a person?

Their sex appeal.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? 6

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

Mia is a fighter.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Mia is the only child of a single mother.

What animal represents them best?

Bichon frisé- because of her fluffy hair and friendly nature (unless your name is Cookie!)

What is a smell that they dislike?

The smell of overflowing ashtrays. When she was a waitress this smell always used to make Mia dry-retch.

Have they broken any bones?

She broke a couple of ribs while out surfing with her fiancé Luke one day.

How would a stranger likely describe them?

Blonde, bubbly and chatty with legs for days.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird?

A night owl. Mia does NOT like getting out of bed early.

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love?

She hates the taste of aniseed and loves the taste of potatoes deep-fried in goose fat.

Do they have any hobbies?

Sex, video games, watching soap operas, going to the movies, socialising, fantasizing about her wedding to Raj.

Mia loves surprises and would be thrilled! She detests routine and monotony. The more surprises life can throw at her, the better!

Do they like to wear jewelry?

Mia’s pride and joy was her engagement ring, which was lost during an altercation with a creep called David. Even though she still mourns its loss, it did enable her to move on from Luke’s death. But no other piece of jewellery has ever been so important to her.  

Do they have neat or messy handwriting?

Messy. Mia is self-conscious about her handwriting as well as her lack of literacy skills. She will go to any lengths to avoid her handwriting and poor spelling being seen by others.

What are two emotions they feel the most?

Excitement and desire.

Do they have a favorite fabric?

Not really, but Mia isn't into housework so any fabric she did prefer would be drip dry and non-iron.

What kind of accent do they have?

Mia was born in bred in Isla Paradiso, but it would be hard for anyone in Sim nation to discern a particular dialect or accent as coming from there.

Ok I managed to get some art done and I feel a little better.

Erik Stargazer, my dnd oc from our modern shopping mall play through.

Transmasc Astral Elf Monk works at the dnd equivalent of Spencer’s. He carries a stash of weed with him and is usually smoking in the parking lot.

He’s got copy of every mall restaurant key and can tell you the recipe for the Cinnabon and whatever cookie spots.

Got fired at most if not all food court jobs for eating up the supplies, still has the keys* to some of them and knows the recipe to some dishes.

Also in their/his defense they throw out all the good leftovers in favor of a "fresh" batch.

Will occasionally shit talk restaurants either due to bad management or legit bad food. People are often confused when directed to a high elf only to find a "high" elf.

Can be found on lunch break walking around the parking lot smoking, or/and smoking before opening shift.

Omg! I can’t believe we’re finally meeting! I’m Morgan, so nice to finally see you!

I hope you don’t mind me introducing myself by the way, first impressions do count.

I’m 24, my birthday is December 1st, so that makes me a Sagittarius. Blood type is O, so universal donor type if anyone needs it. ٩꒰｡•◡•｡꒱۶ I have blue hair and brown eyes, it’s an interesting combination. Oh, and I have near perfect 20/20 vision! It was off by a few points last time I went to the optometrist. They couldn’t get an accurate measurement of my eyesight, they said the machine malfunctioned or something.

I love baking sweets, any time I see a new recipe I have the urge to try it out, and even if it goes wrong it’s still just as good! I also do a little sewing, some gardening, and I love stargazing on clear nights, especially when the moon is out. It’s so pretty (´ ▽｀).。ｏ♡ if I don’t have time to bake sweets, I’ll usually get chocolate chip cookies or pirouettes, they’re my top two favorites. Oh! And kitties or cats!! They’re so fluffy and sweet.

But as much as I could tell you about all the things I like, there’s some stuff I really don’t like. For instance: thunderstorms, stressful situations, heights (which is ironic considering another matter I can’t really tell you about, sorry), bugs, especially roaches (gross!), arguments, stubbornness, feeling helpless, my (metaphorical) wings popping out at the wrong time, molting seasons, and sometimes heat seasons. (I don’t think you need to know about that one yet, at the very least.)

Oh, I think there’s something else you should know. I didn’t write these though.

Salty Licorice Cookie, initial concept: A surviving descendant of the Licorice Tribe in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. She works for Dark Cacao Cookie as a monitor of the Licorice Sea, but became fused with some of the Licorice Monsters when the Cookies of Darkness struck the kingdom.

Salty Licorice Cookie, now: An ancient sea monster residing in the Licorice Sea. Got electrocuted by Dark Cacao Cookie centuries ago (they made fun of his dead friends) and came back for revenge. Likely has a zombie-ish look to them now.

Have they ever done something stupid to try and impress someone?: Most definitely, she can't help it. She snuck a secret message for Rachel in during a play she starred in in college and the stage manager almost ripped her head off lol

If they get sick easily or not: She actually does really easily. She's responsible in most things but she cannot dress herself to save her life, so she'll go out with just a sweater and a sweaterjacket when snow is falling in buckets and of course she'll start sniffling the next day.

Their go-to destination for a day trip: Depends on the time of year, to be honest. In general, she would love to watch a play, any play, and then go stargazing at night. In the winter time she likes to ride sleighs, no matter how old she gets.

If they've ever worked a summer job, what was it was: Lowkey, she never had to really work. Though she did run a very serious babysitting ring in her teens.

Last year's Halloween costume: Heather McNamara from Heathers, she made Mike and Artie dress as Heather Chandler and Heather Duke respectively.

Their go-to flavor for anything: Sugar Cookie, and for anything non-treat related it's usually vanilla

Is there one thing they always manage to break no matter what? What is it?: She tends to break her globes for some reason, they always fall no matter what she does.

Universal AUs/Verses:

Plotted 'bad end friend' type aus, depending on the muse they have ended up in a befiting bad fate villainous/victim role. Pre-existing example is my vr-Bart verse where he still thinks he is in a game and doesn't value life due to that.

Vampire aus, depending on the fandom I might have more fleshed out such as for Horror muses or twists to the formual like dc vs vampires inspired for dc vamp verses.

Ghost aus for my canonly dead muses.

Demon au, one muse is a human/witch or whatever, the other a demon. I will say depending on the muse or fandom things might be different, I'll probably end up with multiple demon aus for different fandoms at least.

Selectively post-Zombie aus, I will default to modern day settings unless told otherwise and I will use a Walking dead setup minus the walker name, zombie media would still have existed. I might be low muse or drop these as zombies are a horror I am sensitive to.

DC verses:

DC vs Vampires setup, someone in the super community has been turned into their own brand of vampire with a lot of the classic powers of a vampire and a curse to bring out the worse in a vampire, now the curse is spreading among the super community and to normal people too.

DCeased setup, a zombie-like virus started when technology was infected with a form of The Anti-Life Equation looking at screens was how the first were infected, both supers and civilians, everything is thrown into chaos and those who survived the very beginning now have to survive super powered zombies.

Horror verses:

Reversed role aus, for dbd I think it's obvious how this would work and for others it can be briefly ploted out.

Vampire au, there is a curse with a hunger for blood, it has infected many killers and former human horrors over the years bestowing them common vampire abilities and something special and horrorfyingly their own as a power. There are also humans this curse hungers far more for the blood of, these survivors and would be victims tend to band together as vampire hunters or as ghouls, aka humans who drink a vampire's blood for some weaker forms of their power.

Livevile, the muses have been kidnapped and put in a realm known as livevile, it appears as a small town with everything one could need and which has other horror characters living there. If someone is killed by another then the night will play out as normal but in the morning the dead will return to life. Now the big question is what made this place and why?

Monster Prom

The worst timeline au, this is during the end credits of the Prank Masterz ending of porm, can be canon complient or divite, also characters interduonced later are welcome on my or others side.

Dragon Age

Blighted au, this takes place in a slimmer timeline to the darkspwan dlc of origins where HOF died during the joining and the Blight got much much worse, possibly spreading to the larger world.

Bad timeline au, taking place in the bad timeline seen during the mage siding quest in dai The Herled went missing right before things started getting bad and the world is thrown into horror.

Borderlands verse

A mushroom, able to smemi control the dead and living and bring them to their feet found the body of Tyreen Calypso, who became it's head as a intelligent zombie, now the fungi is spreading among the galaxy as The Raiders try to fight it.

Payday verse

Zombie au, After the death of Bain and failure to defeat Murkywater the gang disposed of the masks and their identities within the Payday Gang, little did they know the virus that killed Bain would have his body rise to take revenge on the world of the living as he is paitent zero of a zombie virus.

First i wanna talk about regular ocs.

Raine:

You might know them from my fic, and i sadly can't say everything about them because it would be a spoiler, but! They are a dexterous knight, who came to the lands between under a mysterious circumstances, getting washed on the shore in the western coast of Limgrave. They were rescued by Melina, who came to check the coast as Torrent insisted on it. Being completely unaccustomed to the ways of the new land, they often get in trouble for assuming good intent of others. Their combat style is light on foot and relies on the sheer force of zweihander they're wielding, but Raine prefers not fighting at all. They have a short black hair and blue eyes, they're shorter than Melina and people tend to assume they are a woman (which Raine doesn't particulary mind but when comfortable they will correct). Once set in their jorney, Raine started getting wierd dreams that show them distant stars and the lands between (in distant future or distant past, that Raine doesn't know).

Ghost:

She is yet to choose a proper name for herself, and this is no accident: Ghost has found herself stripped of life and destiny. Descendant of the Astrologers and stargazers, she has spent her childhood in mountaintops. Her caregiver was her older sibling, who saved her and themself from the raid on the village they both were born in. Ghost's sibling taught her the ancient glintstone magic and the story of her lineage. After a tragic incident that took her sibling away from her, Ghost has set on a jorney to the Caria, as they are her closest relatives. On her way she also found use of incantations prayerbooks, finding all the innovations golden order brought to the knowledge of the world. Will Ghost find what she is looking for in Caria, and will she understand what she is looking for? Will she find her lost sibling and other Astrologers?

Ahhh, and finally

Renna:

(She technically isn't an oc, but the game gives so little and i have so much to talk about her that i think it counts to explain my headcanons)

Daughter of Rennala and unknown sorcerer (yes our queen has more than one ex ☺️), she is the oldest among Rennala's children. Though not by much. Calm and focused, Renna inherited her mother's lavish black hair (though not her height apparently, since she is shortest among siblings). She was the first to research Erdtree's connection to the stars and outer worlds. This focus on the stars also gave birth to famous frost sorceries. Renna's later study is especially aimed at finding other regions that were affected by elden rings, and clensed it. She was a teacher and a good friend of both Ranni and Melina in the happy years of carian family. She also was especially close to Ranni, sharing great bond with her little sister, they both always helped each other in pain and sorrow. Her last known project was an expedition to the distant lands, research of stars' influence and outer gods' descent on the our realm. What happened to this expedition? And what other plans she had? That's a wonderful questions...
