"How it Began." 42 days to finish.

This is the visual story of the day my OC met the thing that was going to completely ruin the rest of her eternal life.

Description: A digital painting of a night scene in a wrecked city on an Earth-like planet. A many-winged dragon/serpent rises out of a crack in the earth. It is enormous, bigger than the buildings, taking up quite a bit of the background, and its snakelike coils continue into the distance, flinging city debris as they writhe. It has armored plates on its face and all down its front and belly, and soft white fur instead of scales. It has many crooked horns, too many teeth, and fangs in front dripping yellow venom. It's glowing and it doesn't look friendly. Enter our protagonist, standing on the wet remains of the destroyed street, among debris and skeletons, so we know the situation is serious. She's in the foreground, facing away from us. She's wearing a dark uniform, and her hair is pulled back into a bun. Her posture is uncertain as she looks up at the creature in front of her. She holds a blaster in her right hand but the grip is unsteady, as if she forgot she was holding anything of use.

....The blaster will not be of use.

Aye, finally redoing the intro/pinned post.

Hi 'vryone, we're Starfallen Syndicate (collectively they/them), a plural system. We will often sign off with either our names or our emoji sign-offs (which, along with our pronouns, you can see in our carrd -> here), but if we don't and our full sys name is too long, you can call us Blake, Zane, Joseph, Nikita or, if you prefer to abbreviate our sys name: Star or Synd.

We are nonhuman (mostly feline, monstrous and alien, but not only), also on a physical level (so we're holothere and transspecies), but we also belong in general non-human, therian and otherkin communities, about which we will post a lot.

We have shit ton of disorders and neurodivergencies (autism, ADHD, GAD, OCD, DID, BPD, NPD, OCPD, AvPD, PPD, HPD), but out of these, we will be probably mostly yapping about being narcissists. Oh, and DID (we are completely and undeniably pro-endo, though, and avoid anti-endo systems)

We collectively are transmasc, publicly live as a guy, but most of us are nonbinary in more complex ways. We will post about these identities. We will also post about mspec (bi/pan) and aspec identities, because, welp, most of us fall onto at least one of these spectrums.

We will also post about David Bowie, our five-years-long fixation at this point. You might also see us post about Warframe (find us as: blake-hydra), Ghost, Warrior Cats, Good Omens, Discworld, Sandman, Hannibal and, if surroundings awake it: Marvel comics/MCU/Spiderverse.

We happen to be paraphiles (necro/biasto/erotophono/anthropophago/sadists — you google at your own risk, but you probably can get the general vibe) but we will NOT post about that here (this blog is SFW) + we're anti-contact (that is, don't intend on acting on these attractions and are against those who do), so like, we just inform in case you get a DM from a rando that reads like "ummm you rbd from a guy who fetishizes the dead???" or something like that.

And ohhh we are in Poland, so yay, different timezone than most of you, but our circadian rhythm is doing backflips, so nobody knows when we'll be awake and when not.

Caffeine and cigarettes enjoyers, swear like sailors, could bore you to death by talking about modern and contemporary art, clueless about life, love gothic aesthetic while we look like dad on holidays.

Appearance

What do they wear? Preference leans toward fine tailoring to sturdy but still higher end tailoring for all types of clothing. While he is most comfortable wearing his mask, he knows that most people find it suspicious so he wears it at his hip attached to his belt. 

What kind of equipment do they bring with them? A tome written in starfallen elvish, a writing kit, ear plugs, a compass, and an Adventurer’s Pack™

Origins  

Tell Us About Your Character’s: 

Secrets:  He left his family home due to being considered cursed, his abilities began to manifest when he was around 15, and he left when he could no longer hide them (around age 50, thus was still considered a child)

Quirks: Often will pause mid-sentence and quirk his head to the side as if listening to something only he can hear, flaps his hands when excited or overly happy (often will quickly try to hide when others are around)

Talents: He’s skilled at close up magic, specifically card tricks. 

Hobbies: Traveling to new locations, listening to stories told and sung in taverns

Temperament: He’s definitely the “tired dad” sort of person who will tag along after adventurers with a first aid kit and health potions because he knows they’re about to do something foolish.

Attitude: He tries to keep a positive look on life, though upon realizing that he’s still viewed in Elvish society as a “young adult” while he’s watched the children he’s taught grow up and die has kind of given him a “start of life crisis”

Ineptitudes: He struggles with going against traditions or rules, often having to stop and convince himself he’s allowed to do something that “breaks” the rules he believes exist. He can’t use magic, despite most of his race being able to do so.

Personality: He’s quite laid back, though many find him to be strict and sometimes pushy when he’s in teacher mode.

Fears: That his family and people were right. Losing the friends he’s made to age.

Magic: While many believe he has magic powers, it’s more a mix of being psychic and studying has allowed him to learn and know information that most would not about various people/places/animals/etc. (Hyperfocus much?)

Likes: He enjoys a good book and cup of tea in front of a warm fire.

Dislikes: People breaking rules/laws, people intentionally harming those who have surrendered/are harmless, torture.

Other Notes:  

Galaeron left his home at a young age (mid 50s) due to his appearance being viewed as cursed (black hair when normal hair is white to lavender) and his abilities being unfamiliar to those in his community near the spire. His elders gave him the job of spire envoy in an attempt to hide their request for him to leave before reaching adulthood, and this is a job he has taken seriously.

While he has gotten better about giving away that he hears whispers, there are times when he will still pause mid-conversation to “listen” to something only he can hear.

He traveled from Ebarim to Limont in an attempt to learn more about the outside world while reconnecting with other spire speaker to send what he’d learned back to the Spire. He found work first in taverns as a storyteller and small communities as a teacher, where he eventually caught the eye of a young nobleman. The noble offered Gaeleron a position on his staff to teach his children in exchange for funding and further education of his own.

For the next couple of decades, Gaeleron taught the noble’s children, and later grandchildren all while spending his free time furthering his own education. When the noble passed on, the eldest child offered for Gaeleron to stay on and work specifically for his family or to put word out to other nobles so he could help other families. He took the offer and found himself traveling between around twenty family homes in an effort to educate their children, always returning to the home the original noble had set aside for him in his will. This continued until he came of age, and the realization that many of the children he’d taught had passed on, as had the children of those children.

The realization that he’d barely aged while those he’d formed close ties to had grown old and died left him questioning what he was doing with his life, and how many more of those he’d taught would die while he was forced to watch them age and wither away. He informed the families he was tutoring that he needed to take a break to gather his bearings, and went for a walk down to the local tavern.
