Hey! So I was thinking about LilyPadton’s stardew-inspired inventory page in SvS: Redux and decided to find all the Easter eggs! Here’s Part 1 of the whole lot! Check it out! (I’m gonna have to split this in 2 because of all the pics so keep an eye out for part 2!)

(Also did I mention how much I love the attention to detail in this show? Hah😌)

I was super curious about the "baby toss has a chance to crit" that was in the update log for 1.6 and hadn't seen anyone show it, so i spent like half an hour cheating around to quickly get a baby and see for myself, and here it also is for y'all to see!

stardew mod idea i would make if i was marginally better at programming:

Pack Rat

hat mouse's cousin

can follow you around to mines/skull cavern/secret woods/etc

has a massive 120 slot inventory. you can put items in like the shipping box but you can't take stuff out until you're on the farm

carries all your random stuff

excellent for use with stop time + skull cavern elevator + deep woods. infinite mining & chopping

you can put hats on him like the horse and pets

if you die, you lose stuff like normal out of your own inventory. you also lose stuff out of pack rat's inventory, but instead of paying marlon you can buy it back from hat mouse instead

finally finished my farmer sona ref... their lore and backstory is still vague and evolving as i play but i'm having fun!! currently on fall year 4

Last night playing bg3 with my brother, he had Gale like, DIE die in some lava instead of spatula-ing him off the floor in a panic before he's done death saving throws, and I'd never seen what happens before, because I protect my wizard.

Have to say bg3 is not just the game of the year but maybe one of the games of all time.

Relationship advice: play a video game

If you wanna know if they're the one, start an open-world videogame together. Doesn't matter which one, stardew valley, minecraft, astroneer, whatever as long as it has multiplayer, resource management, and things that can kill you. this works cuz guess what?

all the shit they do and all the habits they have in the beep-boop world? that's shit they do in real life.

My absolute favorite thing from the 1.6 stardew valley update is that now i can have a little frog following me around everywhere i go! Yeah the fairy and the parrot are nice but the frog is so damn cute!! It makes the game feels so much more alive!

Research on inventory systems

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley's inventory system is a simple grid type system, with the amount of items in the game, you can buy chests to store these items too. At one of the shops in Stardew, you can purchase backpack upgrades to carry more items, starting at just 12 items, going all the way to 36.

I like the simple grid of this inventory, and the overall menu in the game is really good too. This inventory could be used in a more fleshed out game, but for my game i think a simple inventory system would be better, and easier to code.
