Sooooo... I made a thing!
Tumblr media
I'm honestly proud of myself! It had taken me about 8 months and another month to get the courage to learn how to wash and iron it!
I've learnt so much whilst doing this one! Mainly:
1. Patience is worth it
2. Do not grid your aida with embroidery floss, it does not pull out smoothly
3. How to both wash and iron a cross stitch piece (something that I didn't need to do for my first ones)
4. It's so nice to do something calming with your hands
5. Take a step back and admire your progress every once in a while

The Fish Jacket in all its glory!
I don't know what to say.. I started the jacket 10 months ago. What a journey! I'm so proud and happy!
Thanks for your lovely and kind words and the overwhelming interest! Happy stitching everyone.

Recently, my sister finished the last of a set of Stardew Valley Cross Stitch for me. Today the frame I had made for it was finished and I wanted to share it with everyone!

I've been quite busy lately so this small piece took me a while, but it's done now :3
Tumblr media
I was checking how four-thread floss will look in comparison to three (which I used for the rest of the vest) and... Only the pink Junimo is done that way, because it got too thick for easy needle threading xD
This is how this section of the vest looks rn
Tumblr media
One more thing - I ordered a wooden embroidery stand to hold my work while I'm stitching and it arrived yesterday! I'll take some nice pics in a while, but I used it to finish this piece already:
Tumblr media
It holds the canvas (vest) on a wooden frame and the whole thing is made from unpolished wood, which gives me some nice ideas to woodburn it...

sooo i recently decided to pay for stitchly….
text and the mushrooms except the magma cap are from the stardew valley cross stitch guide with a couple minor modifications; the vegetal patterns are based on patterns from it as well. the magma cap i did based on the actual sprite
i tried to minimize the number of colors used, which is where most of the modifications came from lol. it’s still 23 for the plain version and 27 for the fancy version, you can feel free to tweak it as you like, especially if you also own the guide and want to use the exact mushroom patterns lol. i also think some alignment stuff is a hair wonky, so i’ll probably continue tweaking it before actually stitching it myself
but these are def free to use, i won’t charge for (non-commissioned) fanwork stuff lol
