If I didn't love the Jade Shadow because of the stories it's in, I'd probably hate it because it's ugly.

Also, like. You don't really process the size of these ships until you have a point of comparison like the forward viewport on this thing, and the knowledge that there's a three-seater cockpit under that.
Wookieepedia tells me that this is 55 meters long, and now I have to wonder what uses Mara found for all that volume. If, as I suspect, the indents in the sides of the nose are the missile tubes, then each missile is at least 2.5 meters in diameter and maybe ten meters long. So to carry sixteen of those has to take up a lot of space.
Which still leaves room for the ship's other systems, a cargo bay that fits an X-Wing, and probably the equivalent of at least a two-bedroom apartment in living space.

Some more pics of my Star Wars inspired concept of a J shaped ship design that I did, this time with some closeups to show the ship in detail 🚀👽🤘Hope you guys are having a great Friday night 😉🌟 And remember, drunk piloting is dangerous to you and everyone around you. At least try to keep yourself out of hyperspace if not sober 😆

literally have been on tumblr for a very small number of hours but I am absolutely loving it. I'm a delayed reddit migrant and the whole experience is so much better here coz I can say the "this is my favorite ship" *name-drops otp* and a random jerk doesn't tell me the only valid ships are Star Destroyers. like yeah star destroyers are cool and all but have you ever heard of nitearmor?

Sunday Six time! I'm quite close to finishing the first part if my star wars fic :3 the fic will be posted in separate "episodes" (fitting for star wars) and each episode will tell a complete story within it.
I'll also reveal the title of the series: The Deepest Solace. I'll start tagging posts with that now.
This week's S6 features Hobbs and Joiner fighting. Again. What a surprise.
Tagging: @jichanxo @mike----wazowski @overdevelopedglasses @skysquid22 @passthroughtime and tagging @phantasy14 back (tho no pressure to read or respond if you don't care about star wars lol)
It hadn’t gone well, Hobbs could tell. Joiner was brimming with anger. It came off him in choppy waves, heat and violence. The lines in his face ran deep with his scowl, the furrow in his brow and the crows feet around his eyes the most prominent. He slammed the hatch closed and initiated the undocking sequence on the terminal beside the hatch, then made a beeline for the cockpit.
Hobbs jumped to his feet. “We’re leaving?”
“Strap in, lad,” was Joiner’s gruff answer. He dropped into the pilot’s seat and began the launch sequence.
“Shouldn’t I be doing that?” Hobbs asked, approaching the cockpit. Joiner, however, didn’t answer him, didn’t even dignify him with a glance. “And just where are we going?” Still nothing from Joiner. Hobbs took a deep breath, knowing what he was about to say could turn the full brunt of that anger on him. “You’re not sober enough to fly.”
“Ye think I ever am?” Joiner grumbled with a scoff. The engine roared to life, its thrum vibrating the cabin. “Sit yer skinny arse down or I’m shoving you out the airlock.”
Hobbs wasn’t sure what possessed him in that moment. Perhaps it was Joiner’s own roiling anger influencing Hobbs’ feelings; perhaps it was the realization that, with Hobbs’ sole purpose of getting Joiner into Kafrene fulfilled, Joiner no longer saw Hobbs as useful, that Hobbs flying here was no different than his fetch tasks for the engineers back on the Incitatus. Well, Hobbs was no tool just waiting to be used.
He sat in the copilot seat and accessed the ship’s computer through the terminal there. He initiated the emergency shutdown sequence, inputting the code deftly. It was the ship’s default override code; Joiner had never changed it.
The engine cut out suddenly; the lights in the cabin dimmed to minimal power. The Lucky Lady sat freely in the dock, no longer attached to Kafrene. Hobbs felt Joiner’s eyes burning into him, and he faced those eyes despite his trepidation causing his heart rate to triple.
“You’re paying me to be your pilot,” Hobbs said before Joiner could open his mouth. “Let me do my job.”

Apparently this is a day where I decide against my better judgement (dyspraxia sucks) to try to do some art, so here's some shitty attempts at an Aleph fighter.
Starboard, dorsal, and forward angles.
Tumblr media
Dear Force, this thing is even uglier than the book made it sound. If there was just one central viewport like literally every other TIE-series derivative, it would help a lot.

The remainder of the crew’s time in orbit was spent carrying out nearly 40 science experiments and research, including some that sought to better understand space adaptation syndrome — a type of microgravity-specific motion sickness.
Gillis, a trained violinist, also brought her instrument along for the mission and delivered a rendition of “Rey’s Theme” from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Gillis’ music was sent back to Earth using SpaceX’s Starlink as a test of the satellite network’s potential to provide in-space connectivity.
Menon also took time to read a book she coauthored — called “Kisses From Space” — to her family as well as a group of patients from St. Jude Children’s Hospital as part of a fundraiser.
Sunday’s anticipated return marks the conclusion of the third trip to space for the specific Crew Dragon capsule powering the Polaris Dawn mission.
The spacecraft — named “Resilience” by the NASA astronauts onboard its first trip to space in November 2020 called (Crew-1) — flew the 2021 Inspiration 4 mission.
That trip, also funded by Isaacman, saw him and three crewmates circle Earth for three days as part of a fundraiser for childhood cancer research.
