Thian & Yang: "I know this drama isn't as popular but legit they are the best brothers I can't even. The fact that even as children they were so close and supportive. They have different mums and were raised to compete with each other, constantly told to hate the other, but the whole time they stuck by each other. And Yang is so damn protective of Thian and Thian will stand up for Yang and the whole series I'm waiting for the classic 'bros are close, need drama/misunderstanding so they fight' but it never happened?? Thian was literally engaged to the girl Yang loved but they openly communicate the whole time, work together find way out of it. And then Thian dealing with the whole sexuality and the coming out scene where he can't say the words and he doesn't need to bc Yang knows and he doesn't care, he makes sure Thian knows he's loved and he'll do anything to protect Thian's secret and be there for him. I just love them so much and they balance each other so well and I love how they could be interesting and complex characters with great plot and there wasn't a forced third act argument for drama. their mums did all the hating, but those bros stood by each other every step of the way."

Kuafah & Daonuea: "I think khuafah is a really good older brother. He shows up for his brothers events and knows about the things going on in his life, even tho he’s way older and busy with his job he still checks in with daonuea and knows what’s happening in his life. Daonuea also is a very good brother and you can tell he really cares for khuafah. From the way he calls him and checks in routinely and tells him not to drive if he’s too drunk. Their relationship feels very genuine and loving. Also I’m pretty sure they’re half brothers but it’s never weird between them and they don’t treat each other any less because of it."

gin & tonic (to balance the bitter and sweet of this pair's dynamic)

pineapple juice (for that beach vibe)

elder flower syrup and vanilla bean sugar on the rim to add to the sickly sugariness I know I'm in for

Hearing Maithee say he has a date WITH A GIRL, just to hear "O Come All Ye Faithful" right afterwards got me effed up. This is chaotic.

Daonuea is still wearing that sunflower bracelet! Thank goodness for the product placement, so I could see it.

Palm and Kluen both telling their men that they are all they need in life is some real water sign bs. Where are my fire signs?!

More Sun & Stars for episode 2

Since I'm already a Bitter Body, I went heavy-handed with the gin and skipped the pineapple juice for the second episode. Good choice.

The scene going from Daonuea and Kluen being all lovey-dovey immediately to Typhoon looking at them in his feelings felt like a personal attack. Alexa, play Sam Smith's "I'm Not Here to Make Friends" 'cause "I NEED A LOVER!"

I legit stopped the show so I could hear that song, and now Phoon wants to confess he has someone. Another attack!

The friend group being disgusted by these two is the only appropriate response.

Kluen is being a damn water sign again with his response about how he would feel if they never meet again. You are both 10s, sir! Start acting like it! I just need one of these Bl boys to pop off like Cardi B - "I'm a boss bitch! Who you gonna leave me for?"

There is ham and cheese in the spaghetti. Is that a thing?

For the rating, the drink and the episodes were too sweet, yet somehow still very bitter because no SeanMaithee. I got JoongDunk, a proposal, and alcohol, so I'll take my wins where I can get them.

7/10 CockTails for doing its job but being bittersweet.

I'm going to have to make my Jack Nasty much stronger than I planned for next week's episodes of The Eclipse considering we are getting that strange teacher/student relationship.
