Jewish Song of the Day #31: Avram Avinu
youtube
Comments:
Posting this song today because I can't get it out of my head, it's too catchy, I've been listening to it on repeat
Question for any Sephardi folks: is this a really "big" song in Sephardi nusach? Because when I went looking for Ladino songs, I kept finding version after version of this one song lol.
Here is another excellent version (although it uses an alternate name it's the same song as far as I can tell) and has an excellent explanation in the description:
youtube
Vocals & arrangement by Farya Faraji. This is a song from the Sephardi music repertoire; the Jewish community that was expelled from Iberia at the end of the Reconquista, and settled around the Mediterranean, developping diverse regional styles based on where they settled. This specific song is from Tangiers, Morocco, and was written by an anonymous author in 1890. Different songs using this text, or similar ones detailing the birth of Abraham have existed during the centuries, but this one in Maqam Hijaz is the most well known one. My arrangement pays homage to the Moroccan-Spanish background of the song by mixing a Moroccan string section, percussions and oud with a Spanish guitar chord progression similar to Flamenco’s.
English translation: When King Nimrod went out to the countryside He was looking at heaven and at the stars He saw a holy light in the Jewish quarter [A sign] that Abraham, our father, was about to be born. Chorus: Abraham our Father, beloved father, Blessed father, light of Israel. Then he told the midwives That every woman who was still pregnant If she gave birth to a male child at once he will be killed because Abraham our father was about to be born.
Terach's wife was pregnant and each day he would ask her "Why do you look so pale?" She already knew the blessing that she had. At the end of nine months she wanted to give birth, She walked through fields and vineyards She didn't tell her husband anything, She found a cave; there, she would give birth. At that time the newborn spoke: "Walk away from the cave, my mother I have already found someone who will take me away. An angel from heaven will accompany me Because I am a child of the blessed God."
After twenty days she went to visit him. She saw in front of her a young man leaping, Looking at the sky and (looking carefully/noticing everything), In order to know the God of Truth.
Great merit has honorable Abraham Because of him we recognize the true God. Great merit has the father of the newborn Who fulfills the commandment of Abraham our father (circumcision).

lol this is my first post on here I’m so nervous
MASTERPOST or something?
My name is Aisereth. You can also call me Seth if you prefer.
This is a Pokémon blog! My first game was Omega Ruby and my oldest game is B2. I watched most of the series? And only partially read the gold & silver manga, the Ruby & Sapphire manga and the Sun and Moon manga, lmao.
I LOVE Submas and am honestly amazed by the community built around these goobers.
My fav pokemon has gotta be… zorua (both normal and hisui variant). I’m really bad at picking favs so this says smth.
I like lots of characters including Ingo & Emmet, Guzma, Lusamine, Cynthia, Sycamore, Maxie & Archie, Laventon, Arven, Penny, the whole of team star admins/ leaders, and more…
Imma say this now: BLANKSHIPPERS DO NOT INTERACT. I personally find shipping siblings… gross. Same goes for any other proship or whatever the hell.
More under cut
Anyway
More about me
I’ll be posting once a week. (#Aisereth yap session is not included)
I draw digitally and traditionally :]
I speak English, French and German (writing french is a pain tho)
It’s always a good day to be a multishipper- also: please no ship wars. It’s unnecessary.
I only like angst if there’s a happy ending ;I
Boundaries and such
No NSFW asks, replies, etc.
No asking personal questions, such as anything about my body
Do not repost! For any reason! Not on tumblr or any other platform, please and thank you.
Please be polite! You may cuss and be more casual but I mean don’t be rude if there’s something you don’t like for example. Tell me like a normal person.
If you want to give advice or critique on stuff like my art/ writing please be constructive. "I hate ___" is not constructive.

alright, it's been about one year since I joined Rotumblr, time for a new pinned post.
hello everyone, I am Jax, an ultra recon squad intern, a student at the Blueberry Academy, the current champion of the Trading Card Game Islands and a Mew hybrid. also a Meloetta chosen I guess. I used to be an aqua grunt and the leader of Operation: Clean Seas, but some things happened and I'm no longer an aqua grunt (I wasn't fired, I quit for safety reasons) and Operation: Clean Seas failed.
HI, I'M WINSTRATE! I AM A PORYGON2 AND THE FUTURE CHAMPION OF HOENN! CURRENT AMOUNT OF BADGES: 1
Hey, I'm Tommy! I'm a Rotom, and I occasionally post on this blog!
Berry growing guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/198X-ZPGrf6LsArPp0vBrciI_yzlBMMDB_uiWFQ66Ywc/edit?usp=drivesdk
List of all of my Pokémon: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I3KtAMCryYxhtbj9cUFUgTXHzdOesPy0Ujy0eYIjp78/edit?usp=drivesdk
I have a lot of cool siblings and a bunch of Phantump children that I adopted! my current siblings are Julie (@julie-winstrate-and-star-no-mi), Felix, Nowaki, and Tsumi (@fabas-failed-science-projects, you can also find me and one of my very cool friends on this blog)! my ma also has a blog (@vivian-winstrate)! also one of my Pokémon has a blog (@miss-cool-hat it used to be Coffee's but Hattie took over)
My current stats: level 10, Psychic/Normal, known moves are Psychic, Drain Punch, Relic Song, and Explosion.
also all mail stuff and anon stuff are allowed. just don't mail me a billion eggs
here's my trainer card
//ooc stuff below
hello everyone, it's me, @half-or-nothing! I decided to rewrite the pinned post for this blog since it's been on here for one whole year, and a lot of things have changed!
first let's start with the rules
1. No NSFW! this character is a minor and this is run by a minor!
2. Don't send ooc hate to me or anyone I interact with! the people running the other blogs are really nice and cool!
3. be respectful! no homophobia or transphobia or any of that shit here! none of it!
second, this blog is not a sideblog, so it can like and follow blogs. however, I do have sideblogs for this blog. those blogs are:
@julie-winstrate-and-star-no-mi (Prisma Ranger and Jax's sister)
@miss-cool-hat (Jax's Hatterene, Hattie. used to be Coffee's blog)
@chef-yujin (Jax and Julie's uncle-in-law, he's a chef and is friends with a Raikou)
@winstrate-family (the actual Winstrate family from RSE and ORAS, also Vito isn't on here)
@wyatt-and-elliott (a gym leader and gym trainer/evil team grunt from the Salen region)
@james-and-skitty (Jax's boyfriend! he was also kinda a PMD oc at first)
@fabas-failed-science-projects (a blog that's managed by @cooperblr @phantom-freak and me! Jax is on here, along with the four other hybrids that Faba created)
@bird-of-all-trades (another Prisma Ranger!)
@tcg-league-and-sanctuary (another blog for a group of canon characters! this time it's the league for the tcg islands)
@vivian-winstrate (Jax and Julie's biological mother! she's cool :3)
@kuniku-island-league (a league for a fan-made region! it is currently being ran with @phantom-freak , but more if more people join the discord and create ocs!)
third, a description of the blog. this blog is pretty high-stakes at times, and there will be a lot of wacky shit. y'know, for funsies. Jax is a Mew hybrid (specifically melanistic), so he can do some weird stuff like learn every tm. he is also missing his left leg and left eye. he's also a criminal probably, so you can do some fun stuff with that if you want. also Winstrate is a Porygon 2 now thanks to Jax's coding abilities
here's the link to where Jax's old and soon to be pfp is from!
also, I made a discord server for promoting pkmn irl discord servers, like chat servers and event servers. join if you want

the list that makes me and @dentist-brainsurgeon mortal enemies from now on i guess
extremely lengthy explanations under the cut:
i actually think the S+A tier speak for themselves?
S tier: the goats. im aware its full of third versions but they just happen to be extremely good and added some insane shit to already solid base games (ok diamond and pearl werent solid but the foundation was there). replayability is insane for these.
A tier: the Oh Fuck Yeah games. not in any particular order actually. hgss is absolutely the best remake of all, only held back by the few inherent flaws of the Johto region and by not emulating Crystal enough. as much as i like bw, reverting back to only one region of pokemon never sat right by me, but it's been a while since ive played it, and nowadays i make much more of an effort to try out all new mons. so i could change my mind on this.
i liked usum more than sun/moon, if only for the post game. replayability isnt as high because of the cutscenes every 3 steps, and rotom dex is annoying as shit. aside from that, insanely solid story & postgame imo. red/blue and gold/silver are brimming with weird places in their regions and are chock full of in game lore and legends, which i really like. the ruins of alph & pokemon tower are some of the best locations theyve ever made imo
B tier is the "good but couldve been better" tier. lets go is insane for shiny hunting, but it stops at that imo. the new rival is garbo. sun and moon are good, but the postgame + alola in general is just lacking enough in these games that they dont reach A tier for me. loveeed the island challenges tho. alola itself has just such a good vibe. you really feel like its about community rather than competition. legends arceus couldve been insanely good, but i have never felt as ripped out of a pokemon game as i did when i walked through that cave in the coronet region and started seeing stray pixels around my character. which wasnt a one time thing btw this happens to anyones game & every time as far as ive seen. its gonna sound dramatic but this combined with other graphics glitches made it so clear i was playing a game that it just took me out of the adventure entirely. this is where the graphics glitches really started, and they havent stopped since.
C tier: yellow is just kinda there? i dont care for starter pikachu. i want to, but it gets killed when breathed at, so. idk. the gimmick doesnt work that well for me. sword and shield introduced some insane mons that i love and i want to call it solid real bad, but the story was hot garbage even for pokemon standards, and while the wild area was a great idea, the execution was lacking & because what i assume is a time crunch, the towns were boring as shit as well. diamond & pearl are mediocre to bad, with a great story and mediocre to bad execution, and i shouldve put oras in the :( tier, but the postgame is worth it.
actually im gonna rant about oras. i was so hyped for it but, just, ugh. if youre gonna turn a 2d vague not-specified-what-a-character-is-doing-or-feeling player character to 3d, at least do it correctly. 2d sprites where someone can fill in the blanks not seen on screen but hinted at in text (ie expressions, actions like handing someone something) work infinitely better than 3d sprites who show it badly. also still suffers from the desaturation curse that the 3ds games suffer from. postgame was dope, though. shame the mega latis are ugly as shit.
:( tier: garbage, im so sorry. SV's only redeeming factor is the area zero story. there is nothing else in the game that held my attention. fuck the star team, fuck the big pokemon quests, fuck the towns where you cant talk to anyone or find anything interesting or walk into a house and where every shop looks the game. fuck stores not even having an interior anymore. fuck this larger but emptier and stripped down world full of graphical glitches. fuck the weak ass gyms, fuck geeta, and fuck terrastalizing most of all. i will die for Koraidon & the professor fight fucking ruled but that's all the game had to it for me. do any of yall remember the gym leaders besides like, iono and the snowboard man? no you dont, stop lying to me. gen I put more life into lavender town by making a npc reference some ghost hand on your shoulder than SV does for any town, and they only had black and white 32mb cartridges or whatever to work with. for fucking shame gamefreak. give your devs some time to make a halfway functioning game.
firered and leafgreen do nothing new. i will not discuss the sevii islands. what the fuck even was that. boring. same with brilliant diamond and shining pearl. theyre lower than diamond and pearl because why the fuck did they not decide to remake platinum. what the hell was their damage. seriously platinum was RIGHT there. i caught a full odds shiny ghastly in that game and i still dont care about it.
X&Y suffers from. everything.

Not the Liam Payneful stans celebrating 4 years of LP like it won 10 Grammys 🤣🤣🤣
An apt moment to remind ourselves of what Pitchfork said about it!
Score: 4.3
By Rawiya Kamei
REVIEWED:
December 16, 2019
The former One Direction member’s solo debut is just another pop star flailing to find his identity amid trend-hopping production and half-baked lyrics.
One Direction was famously assembled because Simon Cowell and his fellow X-Factor judges didn’t have much faith in the boys’ potential as solo artists. If Liam Payne’s debut, released more than a decade after the band’s televised genesis, is any indication, Cowell was right. Payne is, at best, competent.
His voice is pleasant but not especially charismatic. His choices are safe but uninspired. A couple of years after launching his career, his musical identity remains wholly unremarkable. (Cowell has since criticized Payne in the press for signing with Capitol, and not his own pop-pipeline label.)
LP1’s 17 songs, including a 2018 Rita Ora collab from the 50 Shades Freed soundtrack and a Christmas number tacked on at the end, have the ambiance and trend-scraping of a Zara fitting room.
The journey from boy band to solo act has broken many aspiring pop stars. But what it requires most—gesturing at a distinct, compelling identity—is Payne’s biggest question mark. Despite being a UK tabloid fixture, he’s been unable to convey a discernible personality—or any personality at all.
Even with a built-in global audience of millions, it’s unclear who this collection of middling songs could possibly resonate with. Former Directioners clamoring for a solo Liam album? New fans seeking nondescript, paint-by-numbers pop? And yet, improbably, Payne has been among the band’s most successful solo members, metrics-wise.
“Strip That Down,” a 2017 love song premised on his freedom from One Direction and featuring a bloodless verse from Quavo, has amassed billions of plays. Other singles, like “Familiar” with J Balvin and “Get Low” with Zedd, despite being completely unmemorable, have proved adequate enough to satisfy the low bar of a generic pop playlist.
Throwing spaghetti at a Spotify algorithm and seeing what sticks appears to be Payne’s strategy with the rest of LP1. The single “Stack It Up,” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, further betrays his ambition of an Ed Sheeran-style metabolism of the current pop sounds. There are layered R&B harmonies, vaguely Latin rhythms, and compressed synths as melody, but even with two songs written by Sheeran himself, Payne only gasps at his radio-ready effectiveness.
In recent press, Payne has hinted at the complexity of his life post-One Direction, including fatherhood, brushes with substance abuse, and frustration with accepting his role as the band’s most-boring member. But he draws little inspiration from that wealth of real-life experience. Instead, he relies on inane songwriting concepts, rote misogyny, and feelingless flexing.
The lyrics are puerile and half-baked. It’s hardly worth laying them all out on the page, but the worst offender must be from (the nerve!) “Hips Don’t Lie”: “Don’t be giving me the eye/Unless you got what I need/I hope your hips don’t lie/Unless they’re lying with me,” he sings.
One song, “Both Ways,” takes the trope of hetero objectification of bisexual women to gross new lows: “No, no, I don’t discriminate/Bring it back to my place/Yeah, she like it both ways.”
In addition to being offensive, it’s not even convincing as an expression of desire. If you can’t effectively use a pop song to communicate horniness, the most basic of human emotions, then what do you have?
Listening to LP1, you almost feel sorry for Payne. It’s maybe more pathetic to have failed not for risking too much, but after seeming to have tried so little.

Meg 2: The Trench (titled Shark 2 in some territories)[2] is a 2023 science fiction action film directed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, and Dean Georgaris, based on the 1999 novel The Trench by Steve Alten. Serving as the sequel to The Meg (2018), the film stars Jason Statham, Wu Jing, Sophia Cai, Page Kennedy, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Skyler Samuels and Cliff Curtis. In the plot, a group of scientists must outrun, outsmart and outswim their merciless predators when a malevolent mining operation threatens their mission and forces them into a high-stakes battle for survival.
Plans for the sequel announced to be early development on October 2018 after the box office success of the first film, Wheatley replaced Jon Turteltaub to attached to be director from the returning script by Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, with Alten completed the screenplay in 2019. Filming begin on various locations on Asia and the London place Leavesden Studio on February 2022 with much of the cast joined the same month until May 2022.

Cast Jason Statham as Jonas Taylor Wu Jing as Jiuming Sophia Cai as Meiying Zhang Page Kennedy as DJ Sergio Peris-Mencheta Skyler Samuels Cliff Curtis as James "Mac" Mackreides Sienna Guillory Melissanthi Mahut Production Development In April 2018, Jason Statham said a sequel to The Meg (2018) would happen if the film did well with the public, saying "I think it's like anything in this day and age – if it makes money, there's obviously an appetite to make more money. And if it doesn't do well, they'll soon sweep it under the carpet--but that's the way Hollywood works."[6] In August 2018, Steve Alten said "My feeling has always been that this is a billion dollar franchise if it was done right. But to be done right you had to get the shark right, get the cast right, get the tone right. And Warner Bros. have nailed it completely. The producers have nailed it."[7] In October 2018, executive producer Catherine Xujun Ying announced a sequel was in the early stages of development.
Pre-production In March 2019, it was announced that a script for the film was in the works, with screenwriters Dean Georgaris, and Jon and Erich Hoeber returning.[9][10] In his September 2020 newsletter, Alten confirmed the script, titled Meg 2: The Trench, to be complete, and expressed interest in its "dark" tone.[11] In October 2020, Ben Wheatley was announced to direct.
Filming In April 2021, Statham said filming was set to begin in January 2022. Filming commenced as planned at the end of January at the Warner-owned Leavesden Studios outside London, with principal photography starting on February 4, 2022. Intro Post!
Hello Pokémon community! I started this blog to share some of my thots so my musing don't take up my main! So just to do a quick intro:
You can call me Blair, and I'm 21 years old (she/they)
I'm going to college for creative writing, and I try to write fanfiction on the side when I'm not bogged down by classes.
The first generation of games I technically played was Gen 4 (hg/ss + plat) but I have the most sentimental feelings for Gen 6 (XY+ORAS)
This will mostly be a Pokevillain blog, and I will probably be mostly writing for the pokevillians, but I'm not opposed to writing for other characters.
My askbox is open!! I also take requests, so don't be afraid to send some my way!
I will use the base tags for characters, but the villains will have "aesthetic tag" with a colon before their name (ex: #husband: lysandre) and these tags are feature tags on my blog
I will also have parenthesis tags for content that isn't related to Pokemon Villains (ex: fanart of Red) and that tag is #(non-villian)
I will also reblog ship art on occasion, which will be tagged as #(ship). If it makes anyone uncomfortable, feel free to block the tag! No worries :)
When I post thoughts/thots I tag them under #blair.exe speaks and when I share my fanfiction it will be tagged under #blair.exe writes
Here's some other places you can find me!
My Ao3 Alt Ao3
My Spotify
I follow back as @/clmty-qn
My finsta (which is primarily star wars based but i post pkmn stuff too sometimes): @/mandos_whore
I look forward to posting new content, and I hope you enjoy it!

[ MUNDAY: wow i never talk about myself, this feels so weird. (fair warning that i do tend to downplay myself.) ]
@ubiquitarian
❤️ — what are some of your best qualities?
i have been told by… a lot of people… that i'm a good listener.
friendliness. i highly enjoy being around people, even though i know i'm not going to be close with the vast majority of them. i'm just a social person by nature.
wisdom. i don't sound like it because i never have the chance to be? i also deliberately type like i normally do to make people feel comfy around me, so that doesn't help either lol. still, i enjoy being The Grandpa when i end up in communities with much younger people for this reason.
creativity. to the point where i literally can't enjoy media without taking inspiration and going right to my own projects and ocs/stories. it's a hassle struggling to absorb canon when i constantly have to muffle what i want to do to make sure i can pay attention RIP.
-
🧶 — any non-writing hobbies/interests?
lol there's a lot.
when it comes to free time… i primarily love mmorpgs, but i just don't stick to them with how much there is to do - never feels like i'm going to get anywhere and it's just overwhelming. i did do ffxiv, guild wars 2, blade and soul, aura kingdom/twin saga and had been pretty far in with all of them, but they just ultimately didn't scratch the itches i needed.
however atm, PSO2 NGS (phantasy star online 2, new genesis) is kind of my dream mmo? it's a new game, f2p is 100% viable, combat is really fun and feels really natural on ps4, i have a cute and outrageously beefy/OP level 19 character and solo everything, nothing is super hard to understand, perfect game for casuals like me who just play 1-2 hours in the morning and slowly chip away at the story/game. it's just basically everything i want in an mmorpg so i'm always just happy playing it.
shout-out to pokemon sword, rune factory 4, digimon story cybersleuth. old fav games are okami, pokemon emerald/oras and ultra moon, star ocean 3, .hack//GU, dark cloud 1+2. there's some i forgot by now but still.
then there's also making ocs and art. i am so so bad at fanart (hence why i stopped) but i did really well with drawing ocs back when i was still comfortable drawing. (designing weird monsters was a huge fav and i'd probably still be able to do it but don't have the desire/opportunity anymore so! and anthros/furries were super fun to draw! help! i drew too much!)
i'm also neglecting learning music production and japanese but they have been on my peripheral for 10+ years so someday i will actually do them. (neither will be very difficult for experience reasons but what is self-starting lol.)
i've never been too big on reading anime and manga so i tended to float toward jp games instead. but… i still have a hard time getting into something new so. lol.
fashion too. love making outfits. i used to be big into lolita fashion, visual kei, pastel goth. i still have so much punk stuff too lmao. pinterest is a hellhole to try and stop browsing if you like fashion/clothes in general.
-
😗 — what are some of your favorite things to do when you have some time to yourself?
generally, all the hobbies require effort that i don't necessarily have the energy or attention span to give, so it usually just ends up with talking to people, scrolling tumblr or twitter or reddit etc, listening to j-music.
this one doesn't have much to say, lol.
@queenharumiura
[ for 😗, see above! ]
🗒 — what is/are your favorite genre(s)/theme(s) to write?
fluff, hurt/comfort, weird plots that go really wild and meta, very short-term depressing/tragic thoughts, ships. i do like writing nsfw too, but definitely not here.
-
🤔 — what genre(s)/theme(s) do you struggle to write the most?
honestly? everything longterm. i tend to forget where plots are going, which is why i'm not great with RP plots or keeping track of hc characterization. i just don't have enough attention span to take notes or reread every rp ever BUT-- when i have an active/dedicated partner, i can keep rolling with something for a long AF time. (thank you in specific, neochan!)
serious answer is long sad/angsty plots. i just don't do that well with them unless i get in the mood, but i don't really want to be sad, so it's just not usually my thing if it's not just a thread or two.
there is also that long posts are pretty taxing too, but there's not much i can do about that because lol i just innately write with the intention of going back and rewriting. rip!

Il mio post numero 1 del 2022
i still remember clearly one of my first interactions at pride with a 40-something member of the lgbt community. I asked him if I could take a picture of him with the bear flag (because I was really happy to see it irl for the first time!) and he asked, "are you feeling like a she-bear a little bit?"
and being gay almost exclusively online back then aside from maybe two friends, I was shocked by that question. me? a 19 years old kid who thought themselves to be cis and bi? I was basically the polar opposite of what a bear is.
but now, six years later, I see it. I'm fat, I'm hairy, I'm shamelessly a dyke, I'm masc. yes I'm butch, but fuck it, I'm also a she-bear. that guy was right. I hope he's doing alright and he knows he's changed my view on labels forever.

Pinoy Tambayan | Pinoy Teleserye | Pinoy Lambingan | Pinoy TV
Pinoy TV, a colloquial term referring to Filipino television content, is a vital aspect of the Philippines' cultural landscape. It encompasses a wide variety of genres, from drama series (teleseryes) and variety shows to news broadcasts and reality programs, all of which play an essential role in shaping and reflecting the identity, values, and entertainment tastes of Filipino viewers. With millions of Filipinos both in the Philippines and across the globe, Pinoy TV serves as a bridge between tradition and modernity, connecting generations and creating a shared experience.
The Roots of Pinoy TV
The roots of Pinoy TV go back to the early days of broadcasting in the Philippines during the 1950s. RPN-9, GMA-7, and ABS-CBN were among the first networks to offer TV programming. At the time, most programs were inspired by Western content; however, as the medium evolved, local stations began creating original content that reflected Filipino culture and traditions. These programs began shaping the narrative of family-centered storytelling, a hallmark of Filipino TV that remains evident in popular teleseryes to this day.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Pinoy TV saw significant growth, with television becoming accessible to more Filipino households. Networks began producing beloved shows that resonated deeply with audiences, such as comedy series like John en Marsha and youth-oriented programs like Ang TV. Variety shows, such as Eat Bulaga!, also gained popularity, blending humor, music, and games into a lively mix that became a staple of Pinoy entertainment.
The Dominance of Teleseryes
One of the most influential and beloved genres in Pinoy TV is the teleserye—a Filipino soap opera that focuses on family relationships, romance, betrayal, and redemption. Teleseryes often explore themes that are deeply rooted in Filipino values, such as sacrifice, forgiveness, and love for family. Titles like Pangako Sa’Yo, The Legal Wife, and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano became cultural phenomena, captivating viewers with their compelling storylines and emotional depth.
Teleseryes are also known for their long runs, with some series airing for several years. For example, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, which stars Coco Martin, has been on air since 2015, becoming one of the longest-running TV shows in the country. These shows are not just a form of entertainment but serve as mirrors of societal issues, tackling topics such as poverty, corruption, and class divisions.
Variety Shows and Their Influence
Variety shows have long been a key feature of Pinoy Tambayan. Programs like Eat Bulaga!, It’s Showtime, and Wowowin provide a blend of entertainment, games, and social interaction, often involving members of the audience in lively contests. These shows promote a sense of community and offer lighthearted entertainment, which appeals to Filipinos' love for humor and music.
Beyond entertainment, these shows also engage in social initiatives, helping individuals and families through cash prizes, scholarships, and other forms of assistance. The generous and uplifting spirit of these programs resonates with Filipinos, both at home and abroad, contributing to their lasting popularity.
The Role of News and Public Affairs Programming
Pinoy TV also plays a significant role in keeping the public informed through news and public affairs programs. Shows like 24 Oras (GMA Network) and TV Patrol (ABS-CBN) provide the latest news updates and in-depth reporting, ensuring that Filipinos remain informed about local and international developments.
These programs also foster accountability and transparency by reporting on social issues, government policies, and public concerns. Investigative journalism shows like Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho and The Correspondents delve deeper into societal problems, empowering viewers by promoting awareness and critical thinking.
The Global Reach of Pinoy TV
As millions of Filipinos live and work abroad, the demand for Filipino content has grown, leading to the rise of Pinoy TV on international platforms. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) rely heavily on television to maintain their connection to home. Major networks like ABS-CBN and GMA have launched international channels, such as TFC (The Filipino Channel) and GMA Pinoy TV, which provide access to Filipino programming worldwide.
In addition to satellite channels, online streaming platforms have expanded the reach of Pinoy TV. Services like iWantTFC, GMA Now, and Netflix offer Filipino shows on-demand, making it easier for the global Filipino diaspora to stay updated with the latest content from their homeland. This accessibility has not only strengthened connections between Filipinos abroad and their roots but has also introduced Filipino entertainment to new international audiences.
Challenges and Adaptations in the Digital Era
The rise of digital media has posed challenges to traditional television networks. With more viewers consuming content online, networks have had to adapt by offering streaming services and producing digital-exclusive shows. YouTube channels, TikTok, and Facebook have also become platforms for content creators, shifting some of the audience's attention from traditional TV to user-generated media.
Despite these challenges, Pinoy Teleserye has found ways to remain relevant. Many networks now engage audiences through social media, allowing viewers to interact with their favorite stars and participate in online discussions about popular shows. Television programs also incorporate hashtags and online voting mechanisms to engage viewers more actively, blurring the line between TV and digital content.
The Future of Pinoy TV
As technology continues to evolve, the future of Pinoy TV lies in its ability to innovate while preserving its cultural essence. The demand for Filipino content remains strong, both in the Philippines and abroad, suggesting that Pinoy TV will continue to thrive in the years to come. Networks are likely to invest in higher production values, explore new genres, and collaborate with international platforms to reach wider audiences.
Furthermore, as younger generations increasingly turn to digital platforms, television networks will need to embrace hybrid models, combining traditional broadcasting with online streaming and interactive content. These shifts will allow Pinoy TV to stay competitive and relevant in a fast-changing media landscape.
Conclusion
Pinoy TV is more than just a source of entertainment—it is a reflection of Filipino culture, values, and aspirations. From captivating teleseryes and energetic variety shows to informative news programs, Pinoy TV offers something for everyone. As it adapts to the digital age and reaches audiences beyond borders, it continues to be a vital thread that connects Filipinos, no matter where they are in the world. With its rich history and enduring popularity, Pinoy TV is poised to remain a cultural mainstay for generations to come.

06/04 Mau P x Road To Barrakud fa scatenare Bolgia – Bergamo
Il party è Road To Barrakud.
Mau P, l'olandese Maurits Westveen all'anagrafe, 250mila follower su Instagram, è giovane solo sulla carta.
Qui si sono esibiti super dj come Nico Moreno, I Hate Models, Joseph Capriati, 999999999, Deborah De Luca, Indira Paganotto, Joseph Capriati, klangkuenstler, Wade, Trym, Pawsa, Dennis Cruz, Cloonee, Reinier Zonneveld, Stella Bossi, Ilario Alicante, Len Faki, Ellen Allien e Métaraph, Franchino, Oguz, Milo Spykers e diversi altri.

Bakit ba mahalagang maki-chismis at makialam, lalo na sa ‘Pinas?
Well, here's the short answer: mahalagang tsumismis kasi may “paki” at “alam” sa pakikialam.
Chz.)
May dalawang bahagi ‘yung seminar.
Anyway, Coke.
“We do not have a monopoly in knowledge. Journalism and learning is a lifelong journey.”
Ang ibig sabihin daw nito, Not Everyone Will Share/Storify.
