Her iki raketin de final yolu:
-Carlos Alcaraz-
#1. Tur = Jeremy Chardy (6-0/6-2/7-5)
#2. Tur = Alexandre Müller (6-4/7-6[7-2]/6-3)
#3. Tur = Nicolas Jarry (6-3/6-7[6-8]/6-3/7-5)
#4. Tur = Matteo Berrettini (3-6/6-3/6-3/6-3)
#Çeyrek Final = Holger Rune (7-6[7-3]/6-4/6-4)
#Yarı Final = Daniil Medvedev (6-3/6-3/6-3)
-Novak Djokovic-
#1. Tur = Pedro Cachin (6-3/6-3/7-6[7-4])
#2. Tur = Jordan Thompson (6-3/7-6[7-4]/7-5)
#3. Tur = Stanislas Wawrinka (6-3/6-1/7-6[7-5])
#4. Tur = Hubert Hurkacz (7-6[8-6]/7-6[8-6]/5-7/6-4)
*İkinci seti 7-6[8-6] alan Alcaraz 1-1 yaparak ortak oldu.
*Dördüncü set 6-3 Djokovic'in. 2-2 oldu maç ve final seti zamanı.

Wimbledon MS R1: Tomas Martin Etcheverry [29] def. Bernabe Zapata Miralles 6-7(5), 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 Eurosport
If there was something called the “match of the round,” this deserved to be one. Not only the shot-making spectacle became the biggest highlight of this match, but also how Etcheverry completed the comeback trying to outhit Zapata Miralles at the end of the day. The statistics might have several interesting things to say in this regard.
Etcheverry scored 9 more aces than Zapata Miralles, winning 4% more points from there despite Zapata Miralles landed 74% of them in. Furthermore, Etcheverry still won 8% more points from his second serves, implying Zapata Mralles’ 5 double faults might not help anything.
On the other hand, Etcheverry’s controlled aggression was visible from the way he constructed his points by scoring 38 more winners, and despite having 66 unforced errors, the risk was worth the reward as he maximized his chances (6). Zapata Miralles had his (21), but even his stellar point construction in the fifth set was not sufficient to encounter Etcheverry’s power in some occasions. Furthermore, Etcheverry seemed to move forward more by winning 48 points from 73 of his net approaches, thanks to his working, reflexive volleys at times.
In the second round tomorrow, Etcheverry will face Stanislas Wawrinka, who defeated Emil Ruusuvuori in straight sets in the first round. While Stan could be more experienced in the surface, Etcheverry’s controlled aggression was proven working on the grass along with his intuitive point creation, and could be an interesting test coming with Stan. Should be an interesting one to follow!

'Novak Djokovic can't win it all', says ATP ace
‘Novak Djokovic can’t win it all’, says ATP ace
One of the great duels in recent years on the professional circuit has been starred by Novak Djokovic and Stanislas Wawrinka, who met in the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 in Rome this year, a match that won the champion of 21 Grand Slams, who was preparing for Roland Garros in one of his favorite tournaments and who has seen him win so much. Novak Djokovic continued his incredible run at the…

I got bored during lock down and used a prompt to create a comic strip with Grigor and Stan.
Mainly because I can only draw Grigor and Stan. Or characters that slightly resemble them ajskdjjdjs
Anyway - enjoy tennis fans.

I found this list from 2014 on buzz feed that ranks tennis players by hotness. The comments are harsh but also funny.
I don’t really want to give them more traffic so here are my favorites:

📸 ATP Challenger Livestream (via website)
The match of the day ended the evening in Bordeaux Challenger, as second seed Andy Murray took on Stanislas Wawrinka, who yesterday won his first round against Ugo Blanchet, in a vintage match. While both tried to be as competitive as possible in the first set, especially in their points construction, Stan's slight edge on clay marked his solid form in this match.
Stan's working backhand is always a delight, as his cross-court backhand winner set his 2 break points, which were fumbled before he set another one thanks to his backhand winner from near the net. Hitting more comfortably across the court, Stan made another break point thanks to a cross-court forehand winner to convert his other break point to 3-1. Afterward, even if Andy came up with a volley to respond Stan's attempt to bring him forward, Stan stayed solid by holding his service game to 4-1.
However, Andy's defense-to-offense approach did not persist throughout the next few games, even if he also came up with a no-look shot, getting Stan run over to his forehand to put himself a point before Stan held that game to 5-2. In the subsequent service game, Stan had around 4 set points, one of which came from his forehand down-the-line winner in response to Andy's forehand from the corner of the court (which was the first set point). Andy ended up holding that cat-and-mouse game to 5-3 thanks to an ace (and unreturned serve), leaving Stan to eventually serve for the set.
Even if there were several hiccups, Stan ended his first set smoothly with a serve+1 (and smashed it, even) to take the first set 6-3. He appeared more aggressive, making Andy move to some extent, while the question on Andy's ability to come back (knowing the classic Andy match) was raised in the second set...

1st tweet: Predictable retirement. I don’t know but this event brings us closer to Fedal, no?
Stan’s reply: Cool to already know the final. The others go home?
Y’all better stop sleeping on Stan 😂
