Today is the 2-year anniversary of @taylorswift winning the sexual assault case against alleged ass-groping, American radio personality David Mueller.

Taylor demonstrated her incredible strength and intelligence during this trial and it served as a reminder (though an extremely unfortunate and unneeded reminder) of why Taylor is such a role model and is so iconic.

When Mueller’s lawyer said her skirt didn’t show any sign of disruption, Tay’s rebuttal “because my ass is located in the back of my body” #istandwithtaylor

When Mueller’s lawyer questioned Taylor about how nobody witnessed him grab her ass... Tay’s response “The only person who would have a direct eye line is someone laying underneath my skirt, and we didn’t have anyone positioned there.” #istandwithtaylor

Its Taylor's damn music. For some reason you guys think you own her and you really don't. Yes she signed papers and shit but you guys wouldn't even have her songs without her. She's done so much in the past few years to get where she's at and she's been working on this since she was a young teenager. She's come so far and yes she does have you guys to thank for how far shes come but you're also the reason why she cant sing at one of her shows and apparently "doesn't own her music."

Dear Scooter

I know you don't know me or probably even care what a fan like me has to say but I just want to take a moment to talk to you about this situation. Just one moment to talk to you person to person. And yes, I know "I don't know the whole story" and "I probably have no idea what I'm talking about". Well, you maybe be right about that, I don't work in music and have no idea what happens behind the scenes. However, I do know what it is to be a good person. And you my friend are not a good person.

As you know, since you do work in music, music is one of the most magical things in the world. Music has the power to connect with someone in a way that very few things can. A song can go from a summer anthem, to a moment of heartbreak or to the something that saves a life. It can give you the strength to ask your crush out on a date or even take you from you darkest thoughts and show you the light at the end. See songwriters have this power to take notes and connect them together to create these chords, these magical melodies that become some of the greatest moments in life. Not only do those become the greatest moments in the listeners life but they also become the greatest memories in the songwriters.

Taylor Swift is one of those rare songwriters who has been able to take all of her memories and create these masterful works of art. She has written about her heartbreaks, her losses, her gains, everything that's occurred in her life... And then when her back was turned, you took them from her. But not only did you take them from her, now you are keeping Taylor from sharing them with us, the fans. The fans who stay up till midnight for every album release. The fans who's lives she saved because of those songs. The fans who are united right now and begging you to please be a better person! Please see what you are doing. Not only are you keeping her from playing her music, you are keeping her from her memories. You are taking away all her countless hours of song writing, all of the stadiums her music filled, all her momeories with fans. This isn't just about masters, this is about keeping her memories, her hard work, her lyrics. This is about taking a moment to see how your actions effects millions of fans. This is about taking a moment to just be human being and see what you are doing to another human being. See that you are taking away so much love and bringing in so much hate. We have enough hate in this world. We don't need anymore.

Hi Taylor,

My name is Claire and I have been following you and supporting you since you started when I was about 3 or 4. I remember when Love Story came out as a single that I saved up and bought the single CD and played it on repeat until my parents wanted to throw something at my radio. I also remember watching you on GMA ( we sometimes get it here in Australia) singing You Belong with Me, I was in my room - as soon as I heard you I ran to the TV and stood there and sang along with you. As the years went on I begged and begged to go see you in concert and well it eventually paid of and for my 10th Birthday I got tickets to your Speak Now World Tour in Brisbane. I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE!

The year after was your Red Tour and I was lucky enough to see you again in concert. I used to sing Holy Ground and State of Grace non-stop and I still love them! The next year 1989 had come out and I knew that it was going to be different but I would still love it. I was also so excited cause that would mean you were going on tour again so I saved up my money and I managed to buy my ticket so I could see you 😊. Your concerts give me so much life and fill me with so much joy and happiness - I am always on a high after your concerts. The start of high school (year 8 in Aus) was amazing. The second week of the school year we had a day with the cohort which was run by a guy who was really funny and long story short he started playing guitar and people who knew the songs could go up and sing. SO OF COURSE I SANG LOVE STORY and it was an amazing experience!

Now I have performed your songs at school quite a lot. I didn’t have much social media until last year so I feel like I have missed out on connecting with fellow Seifties but here I am now so that’s okay! Your REP tour was AMAZING!! This time I went with my dad ( mum went to every other one) and he loved it and was very excited that Charli XCX was going to be performing.

I am so excited and am over the moon and can’t wait for Lover to be released! I also can’t wait to see you in concert again!

Taylor, no matter what happens in life I will always stand by you and follow you. You been such a role model for me growing up and are very inspirational. I will always love you no matter what because you make me SO HAPPY words will never be able to explain how much joy you bring to me. Thank you for being you! I am heart broken about what has occurred over the past week or so - it is really devastating and what’s even more sad is seeing you unhappy because none of us want that.

The music industry is so f**ked up still. Things need to change. I am incredibly sad and p*ssed off for @taylorswift , who poured her heart and soul into her art and entrusted BMR for 13 years for them to stab her in the back and not give her a chance to own the work SHE created. But I'm also so glad that she spoke out about it, because maybe with her influence, and her power with words, she is the one person in the music industry that can bring light to this problem.

Everyone, please keep signing the change petition to get her to re-release all 6 albums, this would be the best way to bite back at Scooter. And just remember that Scooter's company are absolutely s**tting themselves right now. They probably weren't expecting her to stand up for herself, but she did and her swiftie army will always have her back.
