Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and kind comments. I really needed the confidence boost. Life has been a bit rough for me lately. Last week I went part time at work because I can no longer physically handle full time and while doing half the work is definitely better if I'm honest I'm still struggling. I'm trying to really throw myself into my art both to help supplement my reduced income and maybe eventually get myself to a point where I can quit my job all together.

But for this week instead of focusing on projects that might make me money I'm instead giving myself a break to have fun working on my most ambitious crochet project :

curtains based on the stained glass windows from La Sagrada Familia. I will need to make 4 of these panels total. I'm using a 3d modeling software to help figure out the portions and math for the stitches. the points were the hardest part to figure out, all the other shapes should be simple in comparison. It looks a little twisted at the moment but as I add pieces it gets pulled into place so it should even out in the end. I'm hoping to finish all of the points this week before I jump back into projects that I intend to actually write patterns for.
