it starts with 2 (one clothed) and then the collection grows, peter likes to keep the number an odd one (so 11, 13, 15, 17...) and naturally paints/draws more of rubin as he becomes his primary sitter and muse

2 ) does he make one where rubin is a worm and present it to him like "i painted you in the beauty of the earth" and its a worm in a leather jacket on some soil and mushrooms

he does it and he also does one in which he (peter) is a pieróg that rubin keeps lovingly in the breast pocket of his shirt and/or cradles lovingly in his palm as the sauce pools in his cupped hand and trickles down his wrist to the hollow of his elbow. if you were asking.

Patholoveathon Prompt 13: Lara/Rubin (a belated entry because I’m bad at typing up my fic^^°)

Rubin has fallen back into old habits, isolating himself from his friends and taking long shifts. Clara goes to see what's up with that and talk some sense into the local pathologist. A late entry for the Patholoveathon.

What's your opinion on stahk rubin?

to be perfectly honest, i'm not entirely sure what to think of him? in patho 2 i love the dynamic he brings w the rest of the apple basket gang and i think its fun how they all kind of make fun of him a little bit, but i also don't like how they made him racist. he's definitely more tollerable in classic hd, and i think the side of him we see in clara's route is very interesting.

i'll be completely honest tho, i haven't rlly interacted with him a ton in any of my playthroughs, so my opinion isn't really based on a lot lol

Speaking of patho youtube videos there is one that asks what each character would bring to a community potluck, what do you think the stamatwins + stahk would bring and how well would said food be cooked

now that's what i want to be asked ok shawty let's see

rubin: beef dish. i think either a stew or something akin to buryat buuza which are meat-filled dumplings (in this situation, beef-filled). it would be cooked ok-tier, like it doesn't blow your dick clean off with how tasty it is but it's perfectly acceptable. it's tastey.

andrey: oooh the pierogi he's bringing the pierogi (polish side of the family he's the closest to (because he killed his dad [long story])). i think he's also bringing something easy to digest like zupa ziemniaczana/kartoflanka (potato soup, it usually has bacon [pork] bits but he's using beef in that one because. beef city) and gently-mashed potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil or something for peter to eat because peter's stomach is so fucked up from all that drinking you can't give him anything too spicy or heavy he will be sick. it would be cooked Very well i think andrey likes to indulge in cooking. let him cook etc. very tastey

peter: i know his ass can't cook are you crazy. do NOT let him cook he will accidentally poison someone. i think he was very tempted to bring alcohol but was discouraged. oh no no no boy. he ends up bringing tea... he likes a little tea... helps him digest and cope with the headaches. brings tea or sbiten (with no or very little alcohol content). drinkable because it's hard to fuck tea up even if it's possible.

Hey! Thank you so much for the ask! Since I already did Lara, I’ll do Rubin for this one!

How I feel about this character: Oh I love him so much - honestly, just from my personal perspective, I find him the most relatable one in the cast (though obviously I don’t relate to everything about him - he’s both more dedicated and angrier than I am). I think he’s really interesting and I appreciate him a lot. 

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Quite a few people, actually. To name: Lara, Dankovsky, and Bad Grief .

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I love the brotherly relationship he has with Artemy, even with all the conflict and complex dynamics that are going on there!

My unpopular opinion about this character: I guess an unpopular opinion is that I believe him when he talks about the way Isidor treated him...

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I wish there was a way to keep him in town in the Diurnal ending without making him an apprentice to Artemy, because not only do I think that role is a disservice to him, I also think it’s a pretty unhealthy position for him to get stuck in and it’d damage not only Rubin but his relationship with Artemy as well. 

My OTP: I already elaborated in the ask about Lara, but yeah, that’s my OTP with him. I think they’d make a total power-couple. Bi rights!

My OT3: Huh, even though I do ship them with both Grief and Lara, I don’t actually ship the three of them as an OT3 together - I don’t think that particular combination would work super well.
