.... this is so, so hard. This is, like, a three way tie between Kira, Janeway, and Sisko.

Kira/Odo (I know I am in a minority)

Janeway/Chakotay even with some of the major misteps (that’s what fanon is for)

I  want to say maybe Harry Kim, as he’s chill and sweet and less intimidating than most of these casts, but I am not interesting enough to be friends with a Starfleet officer, let’s be real.

a random thought: 

I really hope Picard Season 2 gives Seven of Nine some meaningful background that allows for her current emotional state without trashing Voyager, the Voyager crew, or her connections to them. 

Also, can we please let either Saru or Michael be Captain already; I liked Pike okay but I’m tired.

An unpopular opinion: 

I like the TNG characters, mostly, but I can’t watch it because I don’t like most of the TNG episodes.

 can understand where Tom Paris’s narrative was supposed to go, and he has his sympathetic moments, but over all I don’t really like him

according to twitter this is unpopular: I liked Disco season 2 better than season 1. No I don’t care if S1 was “groundbreaking”. They still need to treat Michael better though.

My Canon OTP: 

Kira/Odo which I am apparently one of the only people to like. 

Also, Janeway/Chakotay is technically canon in the novels, even though I know the novels are not actually canon.

My Non-canon OTP:

I don’t know that I have an OTP that isn’t canon; I don’t ship Trek as enthusiastically as I do SW. But I’d be interested to see Seven/B’Elanna, Michael/Tilly, Deanna Troi with some respect from the showrunners... Bashir/Garak isn’t technically canon but it’s borderline; I think it’s interesting but I’m not a hard core shipper/I don’t read fic for it.

Most Badass Character:

Most Epic Villain:

Grandiose is Dukat

understandable but monstrous goes to that one Krennim played by the actor

Hmmm. Ezri maybe? some confusion, some imposter syndrome, some feeling out of place. which is weird cause she really doesn’t make my top list of characters.

I hope you don’t mind but I have a few noble families for the headcannon question

The Moitessiers are a noble family from Orlais and are directly related to the Valmont and De Chalons. Although they have never had a direct member from their family line on Orlais’ throne, they do play an exceeding important role in Orlesian economy and politics. Thus, establishing themselves as key players in ‘The Game’. However despite their public appearance, the Moitessier have violent and disturbing family history. 

The current living members of the Moitessier family, are Arachne de Moitessier and her very sickly grandfather, Grand Duke Moitessier. Originally, Duke Moitessier cared little for his grand-daughter because her elven heritage and her mother’s mysterious origins. Finding her distasteful and unworthy of the Moitessier’s name, he invested his time into his ‘pure’ heir. However, after losing his only heir to mysterious circumstances, Duke Moitessier makes a desperate and bold political move naming Arachne as his heir. Despite their embittered beginnings, Arachne changes her grandfather bias views and develops a deep bond with him. With his support and admiration, Arachne works diligently ensure her families trade and estate in addition to her assiduous work to improve the lives of elves in Halamshiral, the impoverished and mages.

The Aurelius’ are an ancient family that dates to the beginning of Tevinter civilization. Like many Altus families, the Aurelius’ have a dark, unscrupulous and bloody past that established their postion in Tevinter nobility. The Aurelius ,like many Tevinter nobles, cultivated their magical abilities through marriage, reproduction, and blood magic in order to produce extremely powerful pyromancers. However, their desire to produce powerful heirs have lead to familial mental instability and occassionally hemophilia.

Modern day Aurelius have changed drastically since their matriarch , Victoria, released their slaves from their contracts and uprooted many brutual practices. Despite her unstable, unhinging and unsettled behaviors, Victoria raised her children to have a suprisingly ethical and moral compass. However, after the Imperium discovers that Magister Victoria murder her husband, they sentence her death. On the behest of Southern Chantry mother, Warden Stroud recruits Magister Victoria into the Grey Wardens. After his mother disappears, Lucius takes over her position as Magister in the Magisterium at the age of 15. Lucius is very successful in economic trade, politics and cultivating occult magicks. With his new position, Lucius raises his half-siblings, Jini and Belvantia Aurelius, and tries to give them their freedom and unconditional support. Furthermore, Lucius desires desperately save his relationship with his other half sister, Febris Fabius. The Aurelius family become intrigal in their support of the Inquisition and the Lucerni.

The Couslands are a fair and noble family that have ruled Highever since the Age of Black, when their ancestor became the teyrnir. One of the only two families in Ferelden that hold the Teyrnir title, the Couslands are staunch loyalists to The Theirin blood line and devout Andrastians. During the Orlesian occuptations, the Couslands fought against the Orlesian forces creating tensions with the Howe family. However, when Bryce Cousland and Rendon Howe survived a terrifying defeat the two men mended their familial differences. Until, Rendon Howe’s betrayed the Couslands, effectively murdering all but the two Cousland heirs. 

Before Howe’s betrayal, Bryce and Eleanor Cousland ruled their lands with a justice and fairness,instilling a rightous moral compass in their children. Fergus and Joan grew up with a strong sense of justice and temperance uncommon in many noble families. Both children lived prestigious and comfortable lives within Cousland castle, innocent to many of Thedas’ injustices.  With their parents unconditional love and support,  Fergus and Joan became righteous and fair leaders that shape the future of Ferelden.

Cosmic Cobalt and Purple Mountain's Majesty?

Cosmic Cobalt: What’s your zodiac sign, and do you think it’s accurate?

Scorpio. Nov 1st.

I’m uncertain if all the aspects of the Scorpio star sign can be attributed to myself, since astrology is a very interpretative science, however, I don’t refute a good number of them. I’m pretty much very determined to do the things I want to do, don’t like things being dragged out, and if I’m having a conversation, I want the specifics and the important things and not a six month story (lookin at you mammy). That said, I am also a ho for gossip because knowledge is power, just not if that gossip is getting repeated.

I’m not a fan of black and white thinking because I’ve come to understand the world is not an easily definable dichotomy of good and bad, right and wrong. Instead, its all contextual and that means I need data to understand and decide what my response should be. I don’t like secrets that I’m not privvy to but I also respect the privacy of others so long as I don’t feel they’re at risk of harm (either from others or themselves) - which is typical of Scorpios since we’re big fans of protecting those we care about. Also, we’re just nosy fucks.

The Scorpion is a good animal to represent my star sign (and myself) because they can be devastating alone and in groups, but also, are capable of surviving a lot of things. The irony of Scorpions being arachnids doesn’t escape me since I have intense arachnophobia but Scorpions don’t trigger it (gotta love evolution giving you curve-balls). 

As a water sign, most people assume Scorpio to be very emotional and unstable, reactionary. Like rapids in a river. But Scorpio is more of a deep water kind of sign; where everything is below the surface and rarely noticed above (until its too late). I guess you could equate Scorpio with the North-Atlantic Current that has a very very big effect on the world, but isn’t exactly all that easy to notice or realise its not being very beneficial to the surface until suddenly you have tornadoes and floods.

That… actually describes Scorpio pretty well.

The planets associated with Scorpio - Mars and Pluto (my bae) - cover war and death respectively. But that doesn’t mean its bad. I can handle a lot of bad things and have done, both that come under the purview of Mars and Pluto in my life. From loss of family and friends to having to fight for myself and those I care for, the determination, awareness, and stubborness that characterises a Scorpio is definitely present in myself and the things I’ve gone through.

Do I think that this means astrology is entirely accurate? Nah. I think its a product of knowledge and interpretation and I could just as easily have been born a Capricorn and still handled myself but the perception of myself would have been altered by the beliefs about Capricorns.

Gotta admit tho, being a Scorpio is definitely a lot of fun :p

Purple Mountains Majesty: How does someone earn your respect?

By being polite and decent and not expecting that respect is something they’re inherently entitled to just because they exist. Common decency is the base level of respect everyone receives from me, but the respect that develops based on how a person acts and thinks and what they say? That respect is earned and I never give it freely
