Vecna is possessing the lady in s3 and the Duffers decided to put this shot with both the bike that is representing Will being kidnapped in s1 as they have said in an interview AND this red "Radio Flyer" cart (the most famous ones of those are called like that)
Then we have Fred that's starting to have his vision in the woods before his death and look they put this again in frame many times

This made me think about a story I have read or seen somewhere where there were two siblings that were playing together and one shoved the other on the ground and the sibling hurt his head on the red cart and died... I need to remember what this story is from because I always associated that cart in movies to that story after I saw that but I don't remember from where đ
and this makes me think about the idea that Henry could have had a brother again...
Also I've found this movie Radio Flyer (1992) that is about two brothers Mike and Bobby wanting to escape from abuse and one of them (Bobby) dying (I think he was killed by the stepdad but it's like left as a mystery ?) in the red cart... I have to watch it but it also looks like they are working in a shed and it reminded me of Will's shed

âThe dawn of a golden new era in international space cooperation is echoed in the gold-dusted morning sky that greets the orbiter discovery as it glides in for a landing on Runway 15 of the KSC Shuttle Landing Facility. During the approximately eight-day, six-hour flight of STS-63, the crew completed a close-in rendezvous and flyaround with the Russian space station Mir, performed research in the SPACEHAB-3 lab module, and deployed and retrieved the SPARTAN-204 free-flyer. Heading up the six-member crew is Commander James D. Wetherbee; serving as his second in command is Eileen M. Collins, the first female Shuttle pilot; Bernard A. Harris Jr., a medical doctor is the payload commander; and Janice Voss, C. Michael Foale and Vladimir G. Titov, a veteran Russian cosmonaut, are the three mission specialists. Discoveryâs successful rendezvous with Mir has served as an excellent dress rehearsal for a planned series of dockings between the U. S. Shuttle and Mir, slated to begin later this year. After the astronauts had landed, the cosmonauts aboard Mir radioed their congratulations on the missionâs completion and a job well done.â

Nirvana Boston: Part 4 - Axis
This year marks 35 years since the release of Nirvanaâs debut album Bleach and it also marks 30 years since the passing of Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain. In honor of one of my Top 3 Favorite Musicians of All Time, Iâm doing a multi-part series Nirvana Boston, in which I look at all of the concerts Nirvana did in Boston. Part 1 looked at their July 1989 show at Green Street Station, Part 2 looked at their April 1990 show at Man Ray and Part 3 looked at their April 1990 show at MIT.
The 4th installment looks at possibly their most legendary show they ever did in Boston and their first of the year 1991. Since the last time the band had played Boston a lot had changed. Drummer Chad Channing parted ways and the new drummer was Dave Grohl, formerly of Scream.
September 23, 1991: WFNX 8th Birthday Bash at Axis (Boston, MA)
show flyer (quite a lineup)
Lynn, MA independently owned and operated alternative rock station WFNX was first launched in 1983 on 101.7-FM. The radio station was one of my favorites in the 90s and I was so sad when they ceased operation in 2012. Prior to 1991, WFNX was one of the early supporters of Nirvana in the Boston area, which is why WFNX DJs Duane Bruce and Kurt St. Thomas were at the Man Ray Show in 1990. Nirvana's major-label debut album Nevermind was going to be released the next day on September 24, but just a few weeks earlier on August 29, St. Thomas played the Nevermind album in its entirety on-air for it's World Premiere. So when the radio station was gearing up for their 8th anniversary concert celebrations they set up shows with multiple bands at multiple venues on Boston's Landsdowne Street. At Axis, the bands included Cliffs of Dooneen, Smashing Pumpkins (their debut Gish was just released a few months earlier), Bullet LaVolta and finally Nirvana. Duane Bruce says "I feel bad for the other bands that were on the bill that night, like the bands that were playing over at Bill's Bar. They were all packed houses and nobody talks about those shows. I'd say there were close to 3000 people on Lansdowne Street that night if not more. Certainly 1500 were slammed into Axis." 1500 might be an exaggeration, but not far off.
Nevermind tour poster and Boston was the second stop
Nirvana arrived in Boston the day before on September 22. They stayed at the old Howard Johnson's Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue that has since become a Boston University dorm. Reportedly the band had dinner at Division 16 on Boylston Street with some Geffen Records and WFNX employees. Afterwards, the band went to The Rat AKA The Rathskeller in Kenmore Square to see their friends The Melvins, but they weren't on the guest list and it was local singer-songwriter Mary Lou Lord who urged the bouncer to let them in even though they weren't on the guest list. She formed a relationship with Cobain for a short time. In the documentary The Road to Ruane about The Middle East promoter Billy Ruane (that screened at IFFBoston earlier this year), Lord elaborated that she took Cobain back to Ruane's apartment in Cambridge that night and they listened to his record collection.

MTV News attended this show to film an interview with Nirvana and some backstage tomfoolery including a Twister game gone wild at Bill's Bar next door to Axis! Here is the raw footage of that wild Crisco Twister game with some of the members of Smashing Pumpkins and an interview with the band:
youtube
In my friend Jason Steeves' documentary We Want the Airwaves: The WFNX Story, DJ Angie C. noted that for several months the only live footage MTV had of Nirvana was of their coverage at the WFNX Birthday Bash, so every time MTV News did an update about Nirvana they cut to a clip of them onstage with the WFNX banner behind them, so it was like the radio station and the band were intertwined for a while there.
Axis had a capacity of 1000 and it was packed to say the least. Both Nirvana and headliners Smashing Pumpkins were not going to be playing clubs this size much longer. Boston's own Bullet LaVolta had built up a huge following by this point and were WFNX favorites. Their major label debut Swandive was released the same day as Nirvana's Nevermind, and they had toured with Smashing Pumpkins, Mudhoney and Soundgarden. Bullet LaVolta drummer Todd Philips says "For us, it was just another show playing Axis. We weren't even playing the biggest room, there was a bigger room next door at Avalon. Nirvana wasn't even the biggest band on the bill at the time." As Duane Bruce puts it "if the show was a steam train, then after the Pumpkin and Bullet LaVolta, by the time you got to Nirvana it was just pure black smoke". At midnight, headliners Nirvana's set began. Kurt St. Thomas did an intro. The band did a 49 minute set. They did songs off of Bleach and several from the about-to-be-released Nevermind.

In terms of highlights, Todd Philips says "Sliver" and "Drain You", which he says "When I heard that, I said - holy shit, this is pop. This should be Top 40 music!" Very true! There is a reason some of the songs on Nevermind made the Top 40.
Here is the audio recording from YouTube:
youtube
Of the three times I saw Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters at Fenway Park (the most recent being this past July), I couldn't help but think he had played right across the street at Axis for that legendary show decades earlier.
Up Next: When a fan mentioned that he couldn't attend the WFNX show because he wasn't 18, the band decided to do a last minute show the next day at Axis that would be all-ages. Part 5 is the second Axis show in September 1991.

Sunday special:
|PT.2: CLOCKTOWERS|
After what felt like hours, I finally made it to the bright clocktower. And boy, was it even bigger up close. Some people were gathered around the tower, some watching it with anxious looks, while others going about their day advertising, selling, arguing and fighting. It seemed the tower was the in the center of a square, much like ones on earth, with so many people that you can barely walk. Some were holding flyers and shouting out advertisements, Some buying the latest technology, others buying... 'merch'. Yeah, no thank you.
Some people were watching fights go down, betting on the winner. While others were walking around with glowing chains around their neck, following others that I can only describe as a creature that if you were to ever see, you would regret everything you had ever done that lead you to see it, so vile, rotten and most of all; utterly terrifying. I watch as they make others around them shake and cower in fear. I do not go anywhere near them, only watch from afar.
There are also multiple flyers stuck to the tower, advertising different services, places or jobs. I grab a few different flyers, 1 off the clocktower, one off a blue, eel-man hybrid looking person. Then, I look for a space to sit and take a look. I consider alleyways, but they look quite sketchy, and who knows what lurks in the dark.
Eventually I give up looking and take a seat with my back against the golden clocktower, and begin reading the first flyer from the nice gentleman.
" The Vees need you!"
Alright, who are the Vees?
"Have you ever wanted to become a famous face in hell? Well good news, the Vees are in need of some new hires! Maybe you could become an outfit designer or modeller for Velvette, and invent and wear the latest style before anyone has seen it!"
No. Definitely not. Not my style at all.
"If that isn't your strong suit, maybe become a famous film star for the great Valentino! Become famous within a few productions with amazing pay, and free housing!"
Movie star eh? Now that much more down my road. I could act.
I'll consider it.
"Or, the best option, you could become a new producer for one of Vox's many TV shows! Film the news, record lines for VoxTec's finest programs, and much more! Come, and become a member of the Vees today!"
TV director? That one would be tough. I mean, I can barely hold a pencil still, never mind a camera. Gonna be a hard pass from me. But still, movie star. Maybe.
I look up for a moment, and notice I'm getting quite a few stares, due to just sitting there, not fighting or selling or advertising, and it's quite awkward. But I push on, and look st the next flyer, the one from the clocktower.
" Hello you wayward sinners! Are you sick of damnation and wish you could become a heavenly being? Well now you can! Come to the Hazbin Hotel! The mislead pathway to heaven, founded by the daughter of lucifer, Charlotte Morningstar!"
Wait, so the daughter of hell itself is trying to work sinners into heaven? Why?
"Watch as she tried to get through her daddy issues by fixing you!"
Ah. There's the answer.
"Here we offer fun things! Such as half functional staff, specialised rooms, and 24 hour cleaning services from our lovely maid and dear friend, Niffty! Enjoy riveting conversations with our guests! We even have a walking, talking, spear welding guard dog! Wow! Come meet yours truly, the Radio Demon!"
Who us the radio demon? Do I want to even find out?
"All this and more st the Hazbin Hotel! Your misguided path to redemption starts here! Come now!"
A hotel, for getting into heaven? I'm skeptical.
But, do I have another way of getting out of this place?
No. No I don't.
So I could give it a try. But wher- ah.
"007 uptown, pentagram city, pride"
Uptown. Where's uptown? Like literally, upwards in this town? Can't be. But it's worth a try, I guess?
Just as I stand up, the clocktower rings 4 times, meaning either 4pm, or am. It's hard to tell down here, but I assume pm.
The clock also really hurt my ears with how close I was to it. Nonetheless, I get up and stretch my limbs out, before starting the walk in the only direction I can describe as 'up' which quite literally slopes upwards.
It also happens to be the direction of the other massive building I had seen earlier on that morning.
How long will I have to walk before I get answers? I walk through the streets again, they all look the same, honestly. Red, fire, drugs, alcohol. It's like they're the key words of this place. What a great place to be, am I right?
After another hour of walking, I finally see it, and actually, I feel stupid for not seeing it earlier. The other big building I had seen earlier, has a sign on top that, in big, bold, giant letters, reads: "HAZBIN HOTEL'. Like, wow. How stupid do you have to be to miss that one. I continue my journey to the building, hoping and begging on every last peice of my soul, that it isn't a scam, or worse, a way to lure people into God knows what. Anything seems likely down here.
I reach the so called 'Hazbin hotel', and brace myself for what is to come behind this door. Then I take a big, deep breath and
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
KNOCK!

WHO IS THIS GUY?
Yo!
My name's Ryan, aka HAUNTED THE VAGABOND, aka HAUNTED, aka HAUNT, aka some other nickname that I have gained over the year, like... Fademan Haunt or something, call me what you like!
I'm a 28-year-old, asexual icon who goes by he/him pronouns, and I am a Canadian originally from Saskatchewan, but currently living in British Columbia.
I work as a Radio DJ by day, and I do a bunch of other stuff on the side, like streaming, podcasting, and being a pro wrestling announcer!
Big music guy, beginning to collect vinyl, hoping to get a sick setup soon. I do have a heavy leaning towards rock, metal, prog, punk, and hardcore, but I fuck with a lot of shit, and I'm always hunting for more stuff to listen to, open to all suggestions!
FIVE ALBUMS TO GET TO KNOW ME:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here: Essential Floyd, everyone talks about Dark Side or The Wall, but Wish You Were Here is where it's at. Best album to put on and get lost in it
Deftones - Koi No Yokan: Top to bottom there isn't a song that isn't a bop or a banger on KNY. From "Swerve City" to "Tempest" to "Entombed", all heat
Pharoah Sanders - Pharoah: If you have a Sunday where you gotta do a bunch of housework, maybe it's raining, put on Pharoah, it's something you'll remember forever
Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure?: I'm not a Fantano fan by any stretch, but I gotta thank him for putting me on Jessie Ware. A modern disco album that fucks this hard? That's rare as hell!
Death Grips - Powers That B: "Black Quarterback" is my Fuck Shit Up song, "On GP" makes me emotional, great album
SPORTS
Big sports guy, I'll watch damn near anything from Hockey to Darts, if there is competition, I'm in there.
TEAMS/ATHLETES I SUPPORT:
Hockey: Vancouver Canucks (Main), Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, PWHL Minnesota, Prince George Cougars (WHL)
Football: Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL), Seattle Seahawks (NFL)
Baseball: Toronto Blue Jays (Main), LA Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals
Basketball: San Antonio Spurs (Main), Toronto Raptors, Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL)
Soccer: Machester United (EPL), Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS)
College Sports: Michigan Wolverines (NCAA), Saskatchewan Huskies (USPORTS)
Lacross: Saskatchewan Rush
Combat Sports: Israel Adesanya (UFC), Tyson Fury (Boxing), Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston (AEW), CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn (WWE)
Golf: Tiger Woods
Video Games
I like them.
FIVE GAMES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartending Action: Easily my favorite VN, entertaining characters, engaging world, I wanna get lost in it.
Halo 3: ODST: What if the cast of Firefly were in Halo and listened to a lot of Jazz? Yeah, peak.
Transistor: This is a beautiful game, it has a wonderful story and, a lovely soundtrack, a must-play if you love Supergiant games.
Hotline Miami: Soundtracks go a long way to elevate a game, and Hotline Miami is no different. Hotline Miami also boasts some real fast-paced, addictive gameplay. #TonyTime
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne: Gameplay of a John Woo film fantastic noir story, Max Payne is one of the great characters in the medium.
Movies
I watch them.
FIVE MOVIES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
Clerks: Kevin Smith is one of my favorite directors, and Clerks is my all-time favorite comedy.
The Raid 2: If you loved the Raid, then you owe it to yourself to watch the Raid 2, it's just the Raid with a story, and it's fantastic!
Rocky: There are a lot of Rocky films, counting Creed as well, but nothing tops the first Rocky movie, the best top-to-bottom film in the series.
Porco Rosso: Everyone loves Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, and they are right to do some, Miyazaki is one of the GOATs for a reason. But in my eyes, his best film is Porco Rosso. The landscape shots showcase his love of the Adriatic and Italy, the characters are lovely, and the dub, oh my goodness Michael Keaton as Porco is *chef's kiss*
Treasure Planet: Peak Disney movie, hyper fixated on it as a kid, and still love it to this day.
Anime
They alright.
FIVE ANIMES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
BECK Mongolian Chop Squad: This is the quintessential HAUNT anime. Very down-to-earth, simple but engaging story about someone finding their place in the world. In Beck's case, it's Koiyuki becoming this amazing singer/rhythm guitarist, and helping Beck become a premiere band in Japan.
Gurren Lagann: It's mother fuckin Gurren Lagann man, go watch it.
Steins;Gate: The group chat between me and some of my closest homies is called Future Gadget Labs NA, if that doesn't tell you how much this show brought me and my friends together, then I don't know what else to tell you. Never played the VN but the Anime was great!
Samurai Champloo: Life-changing anime, changed my whole perspective on music and my relationship to it. Helps that the show is GAS, with one of the hardest dubs out there.
Eden of the East: Just a straight up solid show with some good movies attached to it.
Fandom Shit
I don't really participate in a lot of Fandom discussion, I just will reblog stuff I like from my interest. An avid fan of D&D, Wrestling, Fighting Games, Hockey, Football, Anime, and a bunch of other crap I'm forgetting about.
So that's me, if you like what you see, hit me up!

insane
musician!Eddie x afab art student!Reader E 18+ | 4.6k Reader is referred to with she/her pronouns, but I'm an enby bitch and write my readers that way. You decide.
A/N: I wrote this right after finishing Paint It Black while my brain was still stuck in that universe. It is, however, not really what I would call a thought through finished/rounded story, since I lost steam at some point. It stops at the end of a scene without a cliffhanger or anthing like that. It's 1st draft quality, but I thought it would be sad if it withered away in my drafts if there is the chance that at least a few people enjoy it. It should work as a standalone when you're willing to maybe not get a few references. There's some context in the beginning. Again, you decide.
CW |strangers to lovers aka feral love at first sight, light smut: piv, fluff, showering together, intense feelings of falling in love, Corroded Coffin concert, Erica on the bass (guess she's a little older in this universe), Eddie POV, Steve POV in 3rd person, other ST characters, worried, protective but supportive friends, mentions of food, traces of Jonathan/Argyle|
It was like Eddie was going a little insane. It felt unreal that it hadnât been quite twenty-four hours since he'd seen you for the first time, up in the second row of that life drawing class. Gareth had been working as an exhibition tech for that art school in that fancy old building for two months and was pretty enthusiastic about it. Like he was part of a community now - which was the way Gareth went about things these days - and he needed to support all those artists in becoming by leaving those flyers for life modelling fucking everywhere.
Gareth would be elated to hear how committed Eddie had been on his first job.
He looked at you fast asleep beside him, naked and covered in blue and purple marks his mouth had left all over you and felt a little insane again. There was this urge to move over and press his face into the soft skin of your chest until he was desperate for breath He also never wanted you to wake up and this moment to end. Blue morning light played with your skin while you looked so peaceful despite the traces of debauchery.
A sigh slipped from his mouth and you stirred, brows drawing together slightly and he wanted to kiss the spot in between. Hell, it was like that with everything.
After Eddie had asked you where you wanted to shower off the sweat and black paint, he had taken you home. In the car, you had reached out to the radio and he had to snatch your hand before you could pull it back to kiss the tips of your fingers. When you had kicked off your shoes in his hallway, the tip of your tongue had peeked out of your mouth and he just had to kiss it. Every little detail he learned about the way your body behaved, he wanted to put his praise to it.
You had talked nonstop all the way to Eddie's place, up the stairs, out of your clothes again and into the shower. There was something sublime in the way the paint rinsed off your body. Black flaky streams of water making their way over the hills and valleys of your physique. That too made him feel a little insane and you agreed with him when he'd told you about it. Shit, he wanted to tell you about everything that crossed his mind, wanted to hear your thoughts about the smallest details. Then you had moved behind him, soap coating your palms and washed him until the only black remaining on him was permanent ink.
You had told him, while slathering him in foam and bubbles, that it made you a little crazy how his wet skin reflected the light. Something about undertones you needed to study - Eddie needed to ask about that later in detail - and he had finally calmed down a little. He wasn't going insane alone, you were just as crazy about him.
Jeff had come home while the both of you had spent a little eternity in the bathroom and the intensity with which Eddie wanted to introduce you to his best friend as 'his' was only topped by the urge of getting you into his bed. Maybe it was better for you to get to know his friends when you weren't just wearing a towel and bite marks. Pride had flooded Eddie when Jeff pulled up his eyebrows paired with a smirk and a raised thumb as he rushed you through the hallway into his room.
It had been hard to hold back and let you look around as you wandered so far away from the mattress he was so determined to fuck you through.
"DnD?" you had asked, head stuck in a shelf displaying all kinds of DnD paraphernalia. Eddie loved your voice when it asked questions.
"Uh-hn. Since I was a kid. My uncle bought me a handbook at a yard sale because he thought Iâd like the pictures and I've been hooked ever since."
There was adoration in your eyes and excitement in your voice. "So youâre a nerd?"
"Guilty as charged."
You bit your finger with a small smile and he of course wanted to kiss all of it. "Dungeon Master, by any chance?"
Not for the first time today Eddie asked with a stunned face: "How do you know?" Followed by: "Do you play?"
"You have this..." you waved around your beautiful hands while looking for the right words, "this way of taking charge and narrating your thoughts... and I have played before, yes, but not in a long time."
And then Eddie had stolen your towel and went to work on that mental list of places he needed to kiss. His hand found its way between your thighs, slow and soft this time and finally, you found your way into Eddie's bed and under him and he back inside you.
There was no rush, no hard fast urgency - well, he took you hard by the end because you liked it when he shattered you a little. You had told him that between licking into his mouth while he rolled his hips against you, his aching cock sliding against your folds, teasing you just a little before turning you to your side, watching himself slide into you in the mirror across the room.
You had ordered food, that you had shared in bed. You were so fucking funny all the time that he kept dropping shit and a change of sheets was due because there was no way Eddie would spend his first night with you between food-stained covers.
There had been no conversation if you'd stay, you just did. It would have been a waste of time, breath lost that could be used to learn more about you, tell you more about him.
By four in the morning, you both knew a lot and entirely too little. It was ridiculous.
And that brought him here, looking at you asleep and too good to be true. It was a little painful, actually. But just like when you pulled his hair or bit at his neck or hips, Eddie wanted to lean into it.
"You... staring at me, Munson?"
"Studying you." He smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "Too bad my drawing skills are so fucking rusty..."
Ah, he made you smile; how addictive that was. "Youâre studying me from too far away. Come here."
"Needy?" he asked as he pressed himself against you, burying his face in your neck. It couldn't be a coincidence that he fit in there so perfectly.
"Hmmm, just like you."
"M' bad at hiding that, arenât I?"
A kiss landed on his hair, nails softly grazed over the curve of his spine. "Why the fuck would you want to do that?"
"Donât want to scare you away."
You pulled back and squinted one eye at him.
"We're meeting your uncle this afternoon. You think needy will scare me away now?"
Eddie ran his hand up your side and smiled. "Wayne will love you."
"You think?"
"See no reason why he wouldn't."
"You know that this here," you pointed your chin between the both of you, "is a little insane, right?"
Eddie snorted and pressed a kiss to your arm. "Uh-hn, but I can't find it in me to give a shit... S' that bad?"
"I guess then we're bad people."
He softly kissed your lips, feeling tingly and warm. âBad people in good company.â
â
When Wayne got Eddie alone for a few minutes he asked why he had kept you a secret for so long.
"Old man, we met yesterday. Could't have brought her over earlier without us barging in here naked."
"You're shittin' me?"
"Nope," he grinned.
Wayne's mouth hung open for a moment. "Eddie, ya'll been talking like you've been married for a decade. And happily at that."
"Feels more like two."
Scratching his head, Wayne was looking for words. "That's insane, boy."
"I know," he said with that pride again. "Wait till you hear the full story... well... ahm... maybe not all of it. Shit, actually there's not much I can tell you..."
"Goin' by the looks of her neck I don't doubt it." Wayne had a sip from his mug, eyes crinkling with a smile over the rim.
"You like her?"
"Love her!" Then his features dimmed with a tinge of worry. "Iâm happy for you, Eddie. Just don't get your heart broken."
â
Splitting the nights between Eddieâs and your place was another thing that didnât need discussing. You share a place with your best friend Barb and she gave Eddie a thorough interrogation when he stayed over for the first time.
âYouâre a serial killer or something?â
âOnly on game nights,â he grinned.
âWhat are you doing?â
âTalking to you.â
Barb crossed her arms and pulled up her brows. âSo youâre a funny one. Are you going to school? Are you working?â
âIâm a studio musician. Sometimes I sub for live gigs too, but that interferes too much with the time for my own band, so I really only do that occasionally when I dig the music.â
Eddie tried not to say something smart when he saw her efforts to suppress some sort of impressed surprise forming on her features.
âAnd youâre modelling?â
âNah,â he laughed. âWell, that one time, yeah. Just was trying out something new. Weâll see if Iâll do that again.â
You walked back into the room, naturally drawn over to him like he was a giant magnet, instantly weaving your fingers into the hair at the back of his neck.
âAre you mean to my man, Barbara?â
Eddie shuddered and pushed a hand past the hem of your shirt; he was so hungry for your skin.
âNo,â Barb huffed. âWeâre just getting to know each other⌠aaaandââ
âAnd?â you said flatly.
âCome oooon,â she whined. âYou canât be mad at me that I am worried about you!â
Eddie looked up to you, leaning back a little to catch your eyes. âItâs not unreasonable.â
âThank you, Eddie.â
âAnd I donât mind,â he said. You brushed a thumb over his cheekbone and he chased it with a small kiss before smiling. âI know how to handle myself when I feel unreasonably bullied.â
âYouâre so fucking cute,â you sighed and smiled down at him. Barb made a dry heaving sound.
âI am trapped in a rom-com simulation or something.â She took her mug from the table and walked out, calling from around the corner: âTry not to wake me with weird sex stuff, please?â
âSheâs usually very sweet,â you told him with a frown when you were alone again. âSorry about that.â
âHey, I mean it. Itâs okay.â Eddie turned and moved you in between his spread knees, hugging your waist, smiling up at you. âChances are high that Steve will give you a similar treatment. Heâs usually very sweet too, but heâs got this whole mama bear thing going on so⌠sorry about that.â
â
âDude⌠Dude⌠Edward!â
âHuh?â Eddieâs head snapped back to Steve who looked a little annoyed. âWhat did you just say?â
Steve rolled his eyes and looked down at his watch. âItâs kinda time for you to head towards the stage.â
âMhh, gimme me five more minutes, I donât want to miss her.â
Ever since Steve had heard about that mysterious new spouse not quite three days ago, he hadnât been able to stop frowning. Eddie was a bag of feral cats on his best days but right now he was a nervous fucking mess. His eyes were glued to the glass door of the venue and he was about to chew off his bottom lip any moment.
âIf she comes, sheâll easily find you. Youâre hard to miss front-center stage.â
âIf?â Eddie looked horrified.
âWhen⌠I mean when she comes, Jesus.â
âWhat if something happened?â
Steve pinched the bridge of his nose and groaned.
âHey!â Eddie said, face hard. âDonât do that!â
âSorry⌠I⌠youâre really intense about this man, Iâm getting a little worried.â
Eddie looked back at the door and bounced on his toes. âWell, Iâm really intensely in love with her so you better get used to it.â
âIn love?â Steve blurted out and braced himself for another burning look but Eddie kept his face directed at the door. âMan, itâs been five days!â
âDonât know what that has to do with anything. Itâs not like I can just turn it offââ
âEddie?â Jeff called over the noise of the opening act droning in the background. âYou coming or what?â
âYeah, yeah,â he looked away from the door at last. âOn my way.â
Steve trudged down the corridor and pushed his way into the concert hall, squinting as the loud music of the opener hit his eardrums. The lights were flickering in tune with the outro of the song as he pushed his way past sweating people to the front where Jonathan and Robin should be. He needed to seriously roll his eyes at someone who wasnât going to rip his fucking head off for finding this whole thing concerning.
The music stopped right as he put his chin on Robinâs shoulder. On stage, the frontwoman thanked the cheering crowd for a good time.
âAnd?â Robin asked excitedly. âShe here?â
âNah. Eddie is losing his mind.â
Jonathan joined them, looking a little red around the eyes. âI think itâs cute somehow?â
âCute?â Steve huffed. âDonât know about that.â
âHey, at least wait until you have met her,â Robin rasped. She had definitely had a good time with that first band.
âDid you know he has two drawers at her place? Two. After five days!â
Jonathan shrugged. âYou have to put your shit somewhere.â
Steve slapped a hand against his forehead. âJesus⌠heâs going to get his heart broken!â
âYou donât know that.â
âRobin! Nothing can hold up like that over time!â
âMaybe it doesnât have to,â Jonathan said.
âYeah, if you start at unbelievable falling down to amazing is still amazing.â
âWow, Rob,â Jonathan gasped. âThat was deep.â
âThanks, Jon.â
Steve leaned over the barrier in front of the stage and rubbed his face in disbelief. âWhen have you two become such firm believers in overdone romance novel tropes?â
Jonathan shrugged again. âI kinda knew I was in for Argyle after two weeks, man. And itâs been years now.â
âYeah, alright, but you took a few months to let it grow!â
The lights dimmed down and fog started to creep over the stage floor. Whistles and shouts sounded from the crowd that was waiting for the main show to begin.
Corroded Coffin wasnât big by business standards, but they had acquired a pretty solid fanbase by now. This was actually the biggest crowd theyâd ever played on a solo gig. Garethâs silhouette emerged from the fog, arms raised, one hand forked in a salute, the other armed with sticks. The crowd cheered, getting louder when Jeff took his place behind his mic, checking his pedals on the floor in what Steve knew to be superstition.
âItâs about to happen,â Robin said next to him, clapping her hands in excitement and right on cue, Erica stormed the stage, swinging her bass like a battle axe. Erica had replaced Grant a few years ago and was by now one of Eddieâs closest friends. Steve needed to pull her over and ask her what she had to say about the whole ordeal sometime soon.
People roared, longtime fans chanting Ericaâs name and her grin shone brighter than the fucking spotlights. Last came Eddie. He marched in, radiating with the energy that hinted at the total beast he turned into on stage. Steve was glad to see that this madness didnât dim him down. Jonathan moved his mouth but it was already hard to hear over the cheers and chants and whistles.
Eddie grabbed his mike and did his thing, luring the crowd in closer, his voice low and rumbling. He laughed diabolically, tongue sticking out as a sea of hands flew in the air and people bounced in anticipation. Erica hit the first notes, her thick heavy bass hitting Steve right in the stomach and he could see Eddie scan the first few rows with a nervous frown, pacing back and forth with squared shoulders. His hand was so firm around the neck of his guitar, Steve was worried he would snap it clean off. Robin threw Steve a glance; she saw it too. For everybody else, Eddie just looked intense, about to give them a show but his friends could see something cracking through.
He didnât miss his cue though. He rarely ever did.
The first song rolled over them like an avalanche. Eddie and Erica were firm believers in hitting the crowd hard right away, hyping them up till their animal brains were thrumming and out for blood or whatever. It had taken Steve and Robin a while to get used to hard music, but it turned out that there was a lot of variance. The Coffins, as Steve liked to call them, had evolved immensely since their early garage days. More progressive, more melodic, a little doom here and there with clean and harsh vocals alternating during songs. Erica could come up with a blood-curdling scream you wouldnât think possible upon laying eyes on her.
Steve was sweaty. He had heard this set a dozen times but I still loved it. It was the whole atmosphere. The second song was nearing its end, a quiet part building up into a mean breakdown and Steve received a thump to the shoulder from a tall, broad guy next to him. He looked over, fearing a mosh-pit forming around him - he would never be a fan of that, no thank you - but there just was someone trying to squeeze through to the front row. Steve hated it when the giants refused to let shorter people to the front and he patted the guy on the shoulder and gestured for him to be nice and take a step back.
âThank you,â the newcomer mouthed at him and turned to the stage, eyes wide, sweat streaming from her forehead. She pressed her hands to her chest, mouth hanging open and Steve took a look at the stage, then back at her; her gaze was following Eddie around like he was a god she was here to worship.
âOh my god!â she shouted into the small space of quiet before the breakdown hit. Steve couldnât stop staring, this couldnât be just any fan, right? She had slid her feet in between the bars of the metal barrier separating the crowd from the stage and pushed herself further up, face completely enraptured.
Eddie pushed over his mike stand - that happened all the time - and as the last notes faded out, he hooked one foot under it and flipped it up, catching it with his fret hand, grinning into the crowd as his little trick elicited cheers.
Steve was unsure now if it really was her. He had expected waving and shouting to make herself known but she almost looked petrified, frozen in place, unblinking.
âHow are you doing?â Eddie asked and bathed in the rageing response. âAre you sweaty yet?â
Somewhere from the back, a woman shouted: Iâm wet for you, Eddie!!!
âFucking hell, careful at the back everybody, seems like we have a slipping hazard situation.â Eddie kicked at one of his effect pedals and scratched his nose with a grin as laughter and shouts weaved through the crowd. âVery flattering of you tho. Thank you.â
Steve kept glancing at the possible spouse, curious for a reaction.
He was sure he heard a chuckled âcharming bastardâ leave her mouth and gave Robin a nudge.
âHey, Rob,â he said while Eddie kept talking to his crowd, âyou see her? Yeah, I think she could be⌠you know.... the one.â
âYou think?â Robin put her arm on his chest and pushed him back out of her line of sight. âPretty.â
A fast rhythmic drum solo announced the next song, one of Steveâs favourites, and she started to move with it, arms raised into the air.
âWhy do you think itâs her?â Robin shouted into his ear.
âDunno, just⌠watch her watch himâ Jesus...â Robin had pushed past him to change places, sending him into the chest of the guy behind him.
Things were wild. People moved with the charging beat of the drums, Erica cornering them with a slapping bass that made her fingers blur before she opened her mouth and screamed like something nightmarish, as Eddie and Jeff hit their strings like madmen.
Steve tried to let it go for a while and allowed himself to be carried away by the force of the sound. Having Robin as a shield helped too and it was three songs later when she reminded him about the matter.
âIf thatâs not her, I am going to shit. A. Brick.â
Steve prepared to yell a response, just as the flow on stage stumbled, deviating from the familiar sound of this song. Next came sharp reverb and Steve saw that Eddieâs mic-stand was down again. The band stopped as Eddie fumbled with his gear, the cord of the mic had looped around the stand and somehow, his ankle. He kept looking up, smiling like crazy, biting his lip, wiping the sweat out of his eyes with the back of a trembling hand and the no-longer mystery laughed, warm and adoring and totally and utterly smitten with Eddie.
âThatâs her, right?â Jonathan said pressing against him and Robin to see something.
âEither that or Eddie is having a serious medical emergency right now,â Robin said.
âNot sure if both arenât trueâ Jesus, Munson, just focus for a second.â
She turned, throwing a death stare at him that punched Steve right in the face. Robin and Jonathan waved at her making her frown while on stage, Erica finally had helped Eddie out of his turmoil and his amplified voice drew her attention away from them again.
Robin laughed. âProtective.â
âSorry about that, folks.â Eddie joked. âJust had an out-of-body experience.â He pushed the mic away from his face, turned to her and mouthed a small "Hi" that was so sweet that Steve felt a little guilty.
âLetâs make sure to give one to every single one of you before you leave this place. Jeff, hit it!â
The rest of the show was a hot, blasting blur. Eddie was on fire and everything around him was catching. For all Steve knew, he had an audience of one and it almost felt surreal how an event with so many people could make him feel like he was intruding on an intimate moment between lovers.
Erica announced the last song and it left everyone breathless and exhausted. Nobody here looked more like a mess than her. It was almost obscene.
The band thanked the crowd while Jeff tormented his guitar with one last long distorted note and then people screamed their lungs out, already demanding an encore.
Eddie put down his guitar, smile wild and blazing and hopped off the stage. Everyone craned their necks as he crossed the small trench and slammed against the barrier into waiting arms. People around them lost it when Eddie took her face in his hands and slid his tongue down her throat without hesitation.
âHoly Shit!â Robin squeaked.
When Eddie finally drew away, he peppered her face with small kisses, muttering inaudible things that were only meant for her ears.
âI gotta go, I gotta goâŚâ Eddie chanted, still coming back for another kiss again and again.
âGo!â she laughed and stopped him from keeping on by pressing her hands on his shoulders.
âOne more⌠just one more, promise.â
âItâs never just one more, Gomez.â
Eddie nodded, turned, made two steps and then spun back around to steal one last kiss from her smiling mouth. He jogged back to the stage, pulled himself up and joined his delighted bandmates to go backstage.
âExcuse me,â Robin said, pushing the giant away like he wasn't three heads taller than her. âComing through, thank you.â
Jonathan shrugged and followed Robin and so Steve did the same.
Robin said her name very carefully when she approached, but there was nothing hard on her face this time, Steve could only see sweet bliss in those eyes.
âIâm Robin, a friend of Eddieâs.â
âOh!â she cheered and gave Robin a surprisingly enthusiastic hug. âGreat to finally meet you.â
âIâm Jonathan, hi!â
âAh, the genius with the black and white film. I need to talk to you sometime.â
Jonathan rubbed the back of his head and blushed. âDonât know about genius, but thank you. And sure, anytime.â
 âYouâre Steve, right?â
âUhm,â he stammered, determined to not make a bad first impression, no matter his feelings. âYeah, thatâs right. Great to meet you.â
âSeen pictures of all of you but itâs not the best lighting in here and I was a little distractedâŚâ
âWe noticed,â Jonathan chuckled. âYou liked the show?â
She shook her head like someone stuck in a dream, pressed her hands to her hot face and giggled. âSorry, I feel kinda high. You probably think weâre insane⌠we knowâŚâ
âNo, no!â Robin stopped her. âI think itâs pretty adorable.â
âRight! Eddie is a great guy, he deserves his sickly sweet romance,â Jonathan said with a pat to her shoulder.
âYeah,â Steve added, not all the way there yet but less worried than before. It was hard to stay so sceptical in the face of such intense affection. âHe really does.â
â
Eddie downed the contents of a small water bottle while quickly marching down the corridor that led out of the backstage area. He felt some spillage dripping down his chin and to his shirt which was already plenty sweaty. Shit, he was shaking.
This must have been the longest encore he had ever played and he felt a little twinge of guilt in the back of his head to leave the band with packing up their gear but he had to get his hands on you soon or he would probably combust. Heâd been worried about different possible scenarios that caused your delay and his heart had almost leapt out of his chest when he finally saw your face in the first row.
It already was like ecstasy, every time he saw you, but seeing you cheer for him, dancing and lost in his music. Shit. He hadnât lied when he had spoken about an out-of-body-experience.
The big double door in front of him opened and in walked Steve, then Robin and then Jonathan, talking to you. You had already found his people. A weird kind of gravitation was at work here and it pulled at his bones now.
âSweetheart,â he called out, still too fucking far away.
Your head turned and your eyes widened when you saw him; would he ever get used to that?
âEddie,â you sighed and he knew you were just as desperate as he was. You rushed past Steve and Robin, taking up speed as he stopped and opened his arms for you.
âCâmere!â he half laughed half groaned and welcomed the slight pain when you smashed into his chest. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and pressed his face into your hair that smelled like jasmine and sweat and you. âYouâre here.â
âMâ s srry,â vibrated against his collarbone and he pulled back a little.
âWhat was that?â
âIâm so sorry I was so late Iââ
Eddie cut you off with a kiss. He needed to taste you and you were here now so words could wait for a little longer. He felt a little tight in his pants and he held on to your face like in fear you could fucking float away. You were spoiling him, nipping at his lip, soothing the pain with a soft lick.
âOh my fucking god, EddieâŚâ you whispered, forehead pressed against his and he answered with a soft moan. âI have no words right now, not sure if there are any⌠you⌠youâre⌠justâŚâ You softly thumped your fists to his chest, straining to find something to say that matched your emotions.
âJust show me, hm? Show me how I make you feel?â
You nodded your head still cradled in his hands, eyes shining so bright and all for him. Your arms wrapped around his neck and you kissed him again.
âYou think we should leave?â Robin said approximately three galaxies away.
Eddie pulled himself off your lips with every ounce of willpower in his body. âMy friends! We meet you at the bar in tenâŚâ he looked back at you, grinning not taking his eyes off of you when he resumed speaking. âIn twenty minutes.â

Believe you are confusing inherent characteristics of speech and expression with advertisement. What you find is unnecessary, others may find necessary. In context of advertisement, you may loathe receiving sales ads in the mail, but there are many others who need them for learning about new sales or products/services. Furthermore as I mentioned, awareness is especially important for new or unfamiliar products/services. Even in your alternative solution, you are assuming you know where to go in town and majority of the information on products/services online come from forms of advertising.
Once again, you are assuming you speak for all of society and that you have an omniscient perspective of all goods/products. Even when people research products, they typically use the sales advertisement for the product.
You are correct that companies can substitute product/service enhancement with improved advertising, but without advertising, new competition could never enter as there would be no way to identify them. For example, advertising what let Netflix overtake Blockbuster.
I agree that job creation alone is not sufficient, but compliments the rest of the benefits.
You can classify them separately, but they accomplish the same goal of awareness. Why does St. Jude Children's Research Hospital need to run ads instead of spending that money; couldn't you just research children search hospitals that accept donations? Furthermore, a lot of charities benefit significantly more from these advertisements ran by private institutions (for PR reasons) than they do by themselves.
I'm not saying it's the only possible way; I'm just saying it is a common role that it plays in society that would need to be replaced in it's absence. In the context of content creators, if advertisement disappeared today, then majority of them (big & small) would also disappear because they would most likely depend on voluntary donations and be forced to pay to upload content (i.e. YT is funded by ads and video streaming is expensive).
I think overall, you are severely underestimating what all are considered forms of advertising/advertisement and what all is benefitted from these advertisements. It is one of the main ways that businesses are able to compete with one another.
Just to shed some light what would be gone in a world without advertisement of all forms.
Advertisements come in various forms and can be found across different media platforms. Here are some examples of common types of advertisements:
Print Advertisements:
Newspaper ads
Magazine ads
Brochures and flyers
Digital Advertisements:
Banner ads on websites
Social media ads (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Search engine ads (e.g., Google Ads)
Email marketing campaigns
Television Advertisements:
Commercials that air during TV programs
Infomercials
Product placements within TV shows or movies
Radio Advertisements:
Ads played between songs or during talk shows
Sponsored content or segments
Outdoor Advertisements:
Billboards
Posters
Transit advertising (e.g., ads on buses, subways)
Direct Mail Advertisements:
Postcards
Catalogs
Personalized mailers
Video Advertisements:
Pre-roll and mid-roll ads on video-sharing platforms (e.g., YouTube)
Streaming service ads (e.g., Hulu)
Social Media Influencer Marketing:
Brands collaborate with influencers to promote products or services to their followers.
Product Placements:
Incorporating products or brands into TV shows, movies, or video games.
Content Marketing:
Creating informative or entertaining content that indirectly promotes a product or service.
Event Sponsorships:
Companies sponsor events, such as sports events or music festivals, and get exposure through branding and promotion at the event.
In-Store Advertisements:
Signs, displays, and posters within retail stores to promote products or special offers.
Online Advertorials:
Promotional articles or content that resemble editorial content on websites.
Podcast Sponsorships:
Brands sponsor or advertise on podcasts to reach a targeted audience.
Native Advertising:
Advertisements that blend seamlessly with the content of the platform, such as promoted posts on social media or sponsored articles on news websites.
These are just a few examples, and the advertising landscape continues to evolve with new formats and technologies.
What societal role does advertisement fill?
What would the world look like without adverts everywhere?

'The Orchestra Needs Musicians': Behind The Covert Mobilization To Reinforce Russian Troops In Ukraine

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty | 7/14/2022Â
[PHOTO 1:Â Russian conscripts attend a ceremony before their departure for garrisons in Omsk, Russia, on June 17. Russia has mandatory conscription, where all men between 18 and 27 are required to serve at least a year in the armed forces.]
The flyer appeared earlier this month, pasted to the walls of apartment building entryways in the Moscow suburb of Odintsovo -- and hard to miss above the announcement for when the building's hot water would be shut off for maintenance. "Wanted: men between 20 and 55 years old to serve as volunteer contract soldiers; starting salary 200,000 rubles ($3,400) a month. Contact the Odintsovo military recruitment center."

[PHOTO 2:Â Rescuers clearing the rubble of a five-story residential building in which more than 40 people were killed by a Russian military strike in the town of Chasiv Yar, in Ukraine's Donetsk region on July 10.]
State TV newscasts feature telephone numbers where volunteers can call to get information about joining the "special operation" in Ukraine. Headhunter websites are littered with vacancies for "contract soldiers." Reports say Russian officials want to create "volunteer battalions" in every one of the country's 80-plus regions, generating up to 34,000 new troops for the war effort, according to one think tank.

Nearly 5 months after launching the largest war in Europe since World War II, Russia's military has a problem: not enough men; too many dead and wounded. Russian officials are conducting a sweeping campaign to recruit more men to replenish the ranks of its units waging war on Ukraine, which the Kremlin calls a "special military operation."......

Darling, tell me about your Quebecois kenku? Pretty please
FUCK YEAH now please do keep in mind that this lad is strictly well-intended/good-humored archetyping but
Devon St Augustine is a 2-3" tall crow kenku from the Quebecian province - or fantasy equivalent for whatever ttrpg world he gets plonked down into for play. he is the equivalent to 12-16 years old, and his Personal Quest in life (the reason he would be out adventuring) is to get his jersey signed by world renowned Wayne Gretzky. I am torn on whether the team that his jersey is For should be the Philadelphia Flyers or the Winnipeg Jets; the base criteria for which team is for it to be a nod to the fact that in DnD, kenku can't fly.
that being said, Devon's jersey comes from his origins, which is to say that he stole it off the drying line out back of the family's house he lived behind in the woods. he gets the majority of his vocabulary from the hockey game broadcasts & interviews that family would play on their radio whenever they were home. much like his youth size GD jersey, he also stole his street hockey stick quarterstaff from the kids' playset on his way to AdventureTM. i have very little idea as to what his class should be.
thank you for humoring me dearie :>
#clichenuance answers#h-i-raeth#clichenuance text#OC#i want to draw this weird little man so bad but i'm not sure how to go about it
