Vecna is possessing the lady in s3 and the Duffers decided to put this shot with both the bike that is representing Will being kidnapped in s1 as they have said in an interview AND this red "Radio Flyer" cart (the most famous ones of those are called like that)

Then we have Fred that's starting to have his vision in the woods before his death and look they put this again in frame many times

This made me think about a story I have read or seen somewhere where there were two siblings that were playing together and one shoved the other on the ground and the sibling hurt his head on the red cart and died... I need to remember what this story is from because I always associated that cart in movies to that story after I saw that but I don't remember from where 😭

and this makes me think about the idea that Henry could have had a brother again...

Also I've found this movie Radio Flyer (1992) that is about two brothers Mike and Bobby wanting to escape from abuse and one of them (Bobby) dying (I think he was killed by the stepdad but it's like left as a mystery ?) in the red cart... I have to watch it but it also looks like they are working in a shed and it reminded me of Will's shed

Nirvana Boston: Part 4 - Axis

This year marks 35 years since the release of Nirvana’s debut album Bleach and it also marks 30 years since the passing of Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain. In honor of one of my Top 3 Favorite Musicians of All Time, I’m doing a multi-part series Nirvana Boston, in which I look at all of the concerts Nirvana did in Boston. Part 1 looked at their July 1989 show at Green Street Station, Part 2 looked at their April 1990 show at Man Ray and Part 3 looked at their April 1990 show at MIT.

The 4th installment looks at possibly their most legendary show they ever did in Boston and their first of the year 1991. Since the last time the band had played Boston a lot had changed. Drummer Chad Channing parted ways and the new drummer was Dave Grohl, formerly of Scream.

September 23, 1991: WFNX 8th Birthday Bash at Axis (Boston, MA)

Lynn, MA independently owned and operated alternative rock station WFNX was first launched in 1983 on 101.7-FM. The radio station was one of my favorites in the 90s and I was so sad when they ceased operation in 2012. Prior to 1991, WFNX was one of the early supporters of Nirvana in the Boston area, which is why WFNX DJs Duane Bruce and Kurt St. Thomas were at the Man Ray Show in 1990. Nirvana's major-label debut album Nevermind was going to be released the next day on September 24, but just a few weeks earlier on August 29, St. Thomas played the Nevermind album in its entirety on-air for it's World Premiere. So when the radio station was gearing up for their 8th anniversary concert celebrations they set up shows with multiple bands at multiple venues on Boston's Landsdowne Street. At Axis, the bands included Cliffs of Dooneen, Smashing Pumpkins (their debut Gish was just released a few months earlier), Bullet LaVolta and finally Nirvana. Duane Bruce says "I feel bad for the other bands that were on the bill that night, like the bands that were playing over at Bill's Bar. They were all packed houses and nobody talks about those shows. I'd say there were close to 3000 people on Lansdowne Street that night if not more. Certainly 1500 were slammed into Axis." 1500 might be an exaggeration, but not far off.

Nirvana arrived in Boston the day before on September 22. They stayed at the old Howard Johnson's Hotel on Commonwealth Avenue that has since become a Boston University dorm. Reportedly the band had dinner at Division 16 on Boylston Street with some Geffen Records and WFNX employees. Afterwards, the band went to The Rat AKA The Rathskeller in Kenmore Square to see their friends The Melvins, but they weren't on the guest list and it was local singer-songwriter Mary Lou Lord who urged the bouncer to let them in even though they weren't on the guest list. She formed a relationship with Cobain for a short time. In the documentary The Road to Ruane about The Middle East promoter Billy Ruane (that screened at IFFBoston earlier this year), Lord elaborated that she took Cobain back to Ruane's apartment in Cambridge that night and they listened to his record collection.

MTV News attended this show to film an interview with Nirvana and some backstage tomfoolery including a Twister game gone wild at Bill's Bar next door to Axis! Here is the raw footage of that wild Crisco Twister game with some of the members of Smashing Pumpkins and an interview with the band:

In my friend Jason Steeves' documentary We Want the Airwaves: The WFNX Story, DJ Angie C. noted that for several months the only live footage MTV had of Nirvana was of their coverage at the WFNX Birthday Bash, so every time MTV News did an update about Nirvana they cut to a clip of them onstage with the WFNX banner behind them, so it was like the radio station and the band were intertwined for a while there.

Axis had a capacity of 1000 and it was packed to say the least. Both Nirvana and headliners Smashing Pumpkins were not going to be playing clubs this size much longer. Boston's own Bullet LaVolta had built up a huge following by this point and were WFNX favorites. Their major label debut Swandive was released the same day as Nirvana's Nevermind, and they had toured with Smashing Pumpkins, Mudhoney and Soundgarden. Bullet LaVolta drummer Todd Philips says "For us, it was just another show playing Axis. We weren't even playing the biggest room, there was a bigger room next door at Avalon. Nirvana wasn't even the biggest band on the bill at the time." As Duane Bruce puts it "if the show was a steam train, then after the Pumpkin and Bullet LaVolta, by the time you got to Nirvana it was just pure black smoke". At midnight, headliners Nirvana's set began. Kurt St. Thomas did an intro. The band did a 49 minute set. They did songs off of Bleach and several from the about-to-be-released Nevermind.

In terms of highlights, Todd Philips says "Sliver" and "Drain You", which he says "When I heard that, I said - holy shit, this is pop. This should be Top 40 music!" Very true! There is a reason some of the songs on Nevermind made the Top 40.

Of the three times I saw Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters at Fenway Park (the most recent being this past July), I couldn't help but think he had played right across the street at Axis for that legendary show decades earlier.

Up Next: When a fan mentioned that he couldn't attend the WFNX show because he wasn't 18, the band decided to do a last minute show the next day at Axis that would be all-ages. Part 5 is the second Axis show in September 1991.

|PT.2: CLOCKTOWERS|

After what felt like hours, I finally made it to the bright clocktower. And boy, was it even bigger up close. Some people were gathered around the tower, some watching it with anxious looks, while others going about their day advertising, selling, arguing and fighting. It seemed the tower was the in the center of a square, much like ones on earth, with so many people that you can barely walk. Some were holding flyers and shouting out advertisements, Some buying the latest technology, others buying... 'merch'. Yeah, no thank you.

Some people were watching fights go down, betting on the winner. While others were walking around with glowing chains around their neck, following others that I can only describe as a creature that if you were to ever see, you would regret everything you had ever done that lead you to see it, so vile, rotten and most of all; utterly terrifying. I watch as they make others around them shake and cower in fear. I do not go anywhere near them, only watch from afar.

There are also multiple flyers stuck to the tower, advertising different services, places or jobs. I grab a few different flyers, 1 off the clocktower, one off a blue, eel-man hybrid looking person. Then, I look for a space to sit and take a look. I consider alleyways, but they look quite sketchy, and who knows what lurks in the dark.

Eventually I give up looking and take a seat with my back against the golden clocktower, and begin reading the first flyer from the nice gentleman.

" The Vees need you!"

Alright, who are the Vees?

"Have you ever wanted to become a famous face in hell? Well good news, the Vees are in need of some new hires! Maybe you could become an outfit designer or modeller for Velvette, and invent and wear the latest style before anyone has seen it!"

No. Definitely not. Not my style at all.

"If that isn't your strong suit, maybe become a famous film star for the great Valentino! Become famous within a few productions with amazing pay, and free housing!"

Movie star eh? Now that much more down my road. I could act.

I'll consider it.

"Or, the best option, you could become a new producer for one of Vox's many TV shows! Film the news, record lines for VoxTec's finest programs, and much more! Come, and become a member of the Vees today!"

TV director? That one would be tough. I mean, I can barely hold a pencil still, never mind a camera. Gonna be a hard pass from me. But still, movie star. Maybe.

I look up for a moment, and notice I'm getting quite a few stares, due to just sitting there, not fighting or selling or advertising, and it's quite awkward. But I push on, and look st the next flyer, the one from the clocktower.

" Hello you wayward sinners! Are you sick of damnation and wish you could become a heavenly being? Well now you can! Come to the Hazbin Hotel! The mislead pathway to heaven, founded by the daughter of lucifer, Charlotte Morningstar!"

Wait, so the daughter of hell itself is trying to work sinners into heaven? Why?

"Watch as she tried to get through her daddy issues by fixing you!"

Ah. There's the answer.

"Here we offer fun things! Such as half functional staff, specialised rooms, and 24 hour cleaning services from our lovely maid and dear friend, Niffty! Enjoy riveting conversations with our guests! We even have a walking, talking, spear welding guard dog! Wow! Come meet yours truly, the Radio Demon!"

Who us the radio demon? Do I want to even find out?

"All this and more st the Hazbin Hotel! Your misguided path to redemption starts here! Come now!"

A hotel, for getting into heaven? I'm skeptical.

But, do I have another way of getting out of this place?

No. No I don't.

So I could give it a try. But wher- ah.

Uptown. Where's uptown? Like literally, upwards in this town? Can't be. But it's worth a try, I guess?

Just as I stand up, the clocktower rings 4 times, meaning either 4pm, or am. It's hard to tell down here, but I assume pm.

The clock also really hurt my ears with how close I was to it. Nonetheless, I get up and stretch my limbs out, before starting the walk in the only direction I can describe as 'up' which quite literally slopes upwards.

It also happens to be the direction of the other massive building I had seen earlier on that morning.

How long will I have to walk before I get answers? I walk through the streets again, they all look the same, honestly. Red, fire, drugs, alcohol. It's like they're the key words of this place. What a great place to be, am I right?

After another hour of walking, I finally see it, and actually, I feel stupid for not seeing it earlier. The other big building I had seen earlier, has a sign on top that, in big, bold, giant letters, reads: "HAZBIN HOTEL'. Like, wow. How stupid do you have to be to miss that one. I continue my journey to the building, hoping and begging on every last peice of my soul, that it isn't a scam, or worse, a way to lure people into God knows what. Anything seems likely down here.

I reach the so called 'Hazbin hotel', and brace myself for what is to come behind this door. Then I take a big, deep breath and

Transistor: This is a beautiful game, it has a wonderful story and, a lovely soundtrack, a must-play if you love Supergiant games.

Hotline Miami: Soundtracks go a long way to elevate a game, and Hotline Miami is no different. Hotline Miami also boasts some real fast-paced, addictive gameplay. #TonyTime

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne: Gameplay of a John Woo film fantastic noir story, Max Payne is one of the great characters in the medium.

Clerks: Kevin Smith is one of my favorite directors, and Clerks is my all-time favorite comedy.

The Raid 2: If you loved the Raid, then you owe it to yourself to watch the Raid 2, it's just the Raid with a story, and it's fantastic!

Rocky: There are a lot of Rocky films, counting Creed as well, but nothing tops the first Rocky movie, the best top-to-bottom film in the series.

Porco Rosso: Everyone loves Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, and they are right to do some, Miyazaki is one of the GOATs for a reason. But in my eyes, his best film is Porco Rosso. The landscape shots showcase his love of the Adriatic and Italy, the characters are lovely, and the dub, oh my goodness Michael Keaton as Porco is *chef's kiss*

Treasure Planet: Peak Disney movie, hyper fixated on it as a kid, and still love it to this day.

FIVE ANIMES TO GET TO KNOW ME:

BECK Mongolian Chop Squad: This is the quintessential HAUNT anime. Very down-to-earth, simple but engaging story about someone finding their place in the world. In Beck's case, it's Koiyuki becoming this amazing singer/rhythm guitarist, and helping Beck become a premiere band in Japan.

Gurren Lagann: It's mother fuckin Gurren Lagann man, go watch it.

Steins;Gate: The group chat between me and some of my closest homies is called Future Gadget Labs NA, if that doesn't tell you how much this show brought me and my friends together, then I don't know what else to tell you. Never played the VN but the Anime was great!

Samurai Champloo: Life-changing anime, changed my whole perspective on music and my relationship to it. Helps that the show is GAS, with one of the hardest dubs out there.

Eden of the East: Just a straight up solid show with some good movies attached to it.

“75 American Sailors Dead” Eighty Years Ago Today – (Tuesday), March 2nd, 1943: 309 miles southeast of Vik, Iceland. It’s a carbon copy from yesterday – we lose one ship, and an aircraft attack fails to bag a U-Boat. Today however, the results are tragically more lethal. Convoy HX-27 is outbound from the UK, lumbering toward its final destination in Russia. Two days ago, U-405 (VIIC) picked off the straggling American Liberty Ship “SS Wade Hampton,” killing eight men out of her crew of 75. Now, another American Liberty Ship straggles behind. She is the “SS Meriwether Lewis,” named for the famed explorer. She is loaded to the gills with rubber tires...and ammunition. Stalked by U-759 (VIIC), she survives when the German sub has engine trouble and can’t chase her down. While her engine may be on the fritz, her radio isn’t – she gets on the horn to U-634 (VIIC) and guides her in. Three torpedoes send her to the bottom – after her explosive cargo goes up in one massive detonation. William De Kova White (born January 28, 1934) is a former baseball first baseman who played for the New York / San Francisco Giants (1956, 1958), St. Louis Cardinals (1959–65, 1969), and Philadelphia Phillies (1966–68). He was an eight-time All-Star and seven-time Gold Glove winner, who earned a championship as a top contributor to the 1964 World Series Champions. In 1989 he was elected President of the National League. He served as NL president until he retired in 1994. Believe you are confusing inherent characteristics of speech and expression with advertisement. What you find is unnecessary, others may find necessary. In context of advertisement, you may loathe receiving sales ads in the mail, but there are many others who need them for learning about new sales or products/services. Furthermore as I mentioned, awareness is especially important for new or unfamiliar products/services. Even in your alternative solution, you are assuming you know where to go in town and majority of the information on products/services online come from forms of advertising.

Once again, you are assuming you speak for all of society and that you have an omniscient perspective of all goods/products. Even when people research products, they typically use the sales advertisement for the product.

You are correct that companies can substitute product/service enhancement with improved advertising, but without advertising, new competition could never enter as there would be no way to identify them. For example, advertising what let Netflix overtake Blockbuster.

I agree that job creation alone is not sufficient, but compliments the rest of the benefits.

You can classify them separately, but they accomplish the same goal of awareness. Why does St. Jude Children's Research Hospital need to run ads instead of spending that money; couldn't you just research children search hospitals that accept donations? Furthermore, a lot of charities benefit significantly more from these advertisements ran by private institutions (for PR reasons) than they do by themselves.

I'm not saying it's the only possible way; I'm just saying it is a common role that it plays in society that would need to be replaced in it's absence. In the context of content creators, if advertisement disappeared today, then majority of them (big & small) would also disappear because they would most likely depend on voluntary donations and be forced to pay to upload content (i.e. YT is funded by ads and video streaming is expensive).

I think overall, you are severely underestimating what all are considered forms of advertising/advertisement and what all is benefitted from these advertisements. It is one of the main ways that businesses are able to compete with one another.

Just to shed some light what would be gone in a world without advertisement of all forms.

Devon St Augustine is a 2-3" tall crow kenku from the Quebecian province - or fantasy equivalent for whatever ttrpg world he gets plonked down into for play. he is the equivalent to 12-16 years old, and his Personal Quest in life (the reason he would be out adventuring) is to get his jersey signed by world renowned Wayne Gretzky. I am torn on whether the team that his jersey is For should be the Philadelphia Flyers or the Winnipeg Jets; the base criteria for which team is for it to be a nod to the fact that in DnD, kenku can't fly.

that being said, Devon's jersey comes from his origins, which is to say that he stole it off the drying line out back of the family's house he lived behind in the woods. he gets the majority of his vocabulary from the hockey game broadcasts & interviews that family would play on their radio whenever they were home. much like his youth size GD jersey, he also stole his street hockey stick quarterstaff from the kids' playset on his way to AdventureTM. i have very little idea as to what his class should be.

just normal college AU. theyre both young adults workin on their undergraduate degrees. one of them is an international student and they get assigned as lab partners in the one class they have together

newt is a stupidly young professor with a stupid amount of phds and exhausted graduate student hermann is assigned as his TA (maybe for some engineering class newt’s teaching) and they instantly don’t get along...until one day...they do 👀

newt (in true manic pixie dream scientist style) dyes his hair a different color every few weeks and experiments with everything from buns to a mohawk to an undercut. none of it looks good

he has about five different piercings. hermann always makes him take most of them off before they make out. newt also has a collection of band shirts and monster movie shirts he rotates wearing on a weekly basis

college hermann is also rebellious “finally away from family” phase hermann.

he experiments with wearing a single earring in a single ear for a single week

starts leaving his top button undone (WHORE)

takes up smoking for a bit to further rebelliousness despite it being a non-smoking campus and is that one fucking asshole who sets off the fire alarm at 2 am because he’s pulling an all nighter on a lab report and lights up a cigarette and won't just crack a window to let the smoke out

hermann probably gets a decent amount of dudes’ phone numbers tbh but is too oblivious to follow up on them or assumes they just want to cheat off his calculus homework. they never do 😔

if this is the hot hot hot young professor newt scenario: you simply KNOW his classes fill up within minutes on course registration day (and then half of them drop it within a week of the semester because he’s newt). that being said the ones that stick around prob try to flirt their way into extra credit. unfortunately for them newt isn’t sleazy and is also too busy wrestling with the ethics of hitting on his hot TA if the guy is 5 months older than him to even notice

when newt and hermann start dating hermann also never misses a single one. gotta support his man!

vegetarian newt. he tries going vegan for a while but boxed mac and cheese constitutes about 80% of his diet and he was getting malnourished. also he goes to the campus st*rbucks (or d*nkin actually, newt’s a new englander) so often they have his order ready for him before he even gets there

newt dozes off, wakes up at 9 am to hermann tearing down his flyer, leaps out in a half-asleep rage 

and gets a cane to the head in an act of fight-or-flight from hermann

hermann (not realizing it’s newt) panics and takes him to the campus health clinic to make sure he doesn’t have a concussion (he doesn’t) and then newt (after getting over his initial annoyance) asks him out for boba tea (hermann says yes)

international student hermann...who doesn’t like his family....and is planning on staying on campus for winter break....until his cute biology-engineering-triple-major lab partner he almost concussed invites him to spend it at his dad’s place with him..............and.........there’s no guest room.......or a big enough couch...................just..............................newt’s bed

also im weirdly obsessed with the idea of hermann having a phase where he’s just really into writing depressing poetry before realizing he’s terrible at it and deciding that HE’S not BAD AT IT, it's POETRY AS A WHOLE that’s bad and terrible

Logan sat on Roman’s bed listening to him work and reading a book. Paper cutting, the occasional typing of a keyboard, fabric rustling, and quiet music from Roman’s playlist, which was primarily Disney and Musicals, playing. Roman cut the paper and glued it together, creating a paper puppet of a dragon. He was planning on doing another film with Logan soon. Though they were just relaxing and hanging out right now, planning a bit of the film occasionally.

 The door suddenly opened and Remus popped in, “H-hey bro, ready? Ready to go y-yet?” Roman looked over tilting his head slightly, he didn’t remember having to go anywhere. He didn’t believe he had any plans. Remus noticed Roman’s confusion and him getting lost in thought and laughed a bit, “For-forget al-already?” he laughed a bit, “It’s that st-tupid group therapy thing. I don’t… I don’t see why Mom signed you, you up for it.” Logan glanced over, “Group therapy?” “Yeah Nerd, Thera-py. It’s pro-bably just, just an excuse for Roman to, to get out of the ho-house and make Fr-friends.” Remus shrugged, today seemed to be a good day for him. Sometimes he had bad days and good days regarding his stutter. On bad days he felt like he couldn’t form a sentence without messing up almost every word. But today was alright. Logan nodded, “Could you drive me home after you drive him there?” “Why?” Remus asked. “Well, I walked here with Roman. I didn’t drive today at all, my parents needed the car.” Remus nodded, “Fine I, I’ll drive you.” Logan nodded looking back at his book before noticing the lights flickering. He lowered it looking over at Roman who was standing by the light switch. Roman smiled when Remus and Logan looked at him, ‘Thank you.’ he signed, ‘When do we have to get going?’ Remus watched then checked his phone looking at the time, “Now.” Roman rolled his eyes with an exasperated look as he went over looking in his mirror making sure he looked presentable, aka no glue or paper on him. Then he grabbed his jacket. Logan sat up stuffing his book in his bag before getting off of Roman’s bed and following the two out of the room and to the car. Near the front door he grabbed his jacket and shoes, putting them on, before they all left the house. Remus got into the car starting it up and turning on the radio, before he started driving to the address. It was across town and seemed to be at some community center, it was a place where people could rent rooms like office spaces or meeting rooms for any sort of thing they needed it for. Roman plugged his phone into the car and took over the music, starting to play his playlist some more throughout the ride. Logan just went back to reading his book for awhile till he lost interest. It wasn’t that the book wasn’t interesting or good, it really was a great book. But he just felt a bit bored of it currently and couldn’t read any more of it, that and he had been rereading the same paragraph for a while now and barely taking in what the words said. So he just sat back looking out the window as they drove through town. ____________

Virgil saw the flyer on the counter, group therapy. He knew his parents didn’t think much of him, but group therapy? For someone as anxious as him, that idea was shit. Why send someone who has an anxiety disorder to therapy with other random people they don’t know. Virgil stared at the paper, he had already determined that it would be the worst 3 hours of his life. But… it did mean he would be out of the house and away from his parents for 3 hours on the weekend. So… brightside. Virgil dropped the paper on the counter again before going back to his room. He was actually surprised about one thing though, his parents in question… weren’t actually home currently, which was shocking. His parents had a bad habit of being overbearing and over protective, or just fancy way of saying they were controlling. Virgil constantly was yelled at when he wanted to just go out of the house for a walk, saying how he couldn’t, he would get hurt, he’s too disabled to be on his own. Which was a really shitty excuse for their controlling nature. Virgil sat down on his bed and checked his phone, it was Saturday late afternoon, the group wasn’t for a few more hours, and his parent’s weren’t currently home. Virgil powered off his phone then put on his shoes and jacket before walking out of the house and down the street. He walked down the street not too far from the park in their neighborhood and went to a house. Most of the house was brand new, newly rebuilt, due to the fire a couple months ago. Virgil got to the door and knocked before standing there and waiting. Janus heard knocks at the door and stood up walking to the door. His bedroom was on the first floor right off of their living room. He walked out of his room to the front door. Thomas lifted his head up looking at Janus from where he was laying on Janus’ bed. He watched Janus walk out of the room before stretching and getting up following. Janus heard Thomas following and pulled a treat out of his pocket and gave it to the dog. He went over and opened up the door, “Virgil.” he asked as he opened the door. Virgil saw the door open and watched Janus’ lips, “Yeah.” he replied. Janus heard then smiled recognizing Virgil’s voice. “Come in, We’ll sit on the couch.” he said, still facing Virgil before turning and walking over to the couch and sitting. Virgil nodded, “Ok.” he followed. Virgil shut the door behind himself then went over and sat on the back of the couch before pulling out his phone and typing. “Apparently I have to go to stupid therapy.” the tts said. Janus heard and laughed turning in Virgil’s direction, “Wow, your parents are letting you out of the house?” “Yeah, surprising right?” “Oh absolutely, though I too have to go to some therapy group… My parents have been concerned since the fire.” “Yeah” Virgil nodded. Janus went silent and just leaned back, “You could hang out here for awhile.” Virgil nodded, “Thanks.” he put his phone away and leaned back relaxing. Virgil stayed for only an hour before he walked back home glad his parents were still out. He just went to his room and relaxed closing his eyes and napping for the time being until his parents were back and drove him to the stupid meeting. _____

Patton was in the living room sitting on the couch watching some show, his cat was laying in his lap demanding attention while he was adding more stickers to the side of his wheelchair. “Patton? We should get going so you’re not late.” his mother said walking into the room. Patton looked up, “Oh ok… why do I have to go?” “Because, it’ll be good, you’ll have fun.” Patton sighed and pulled himself off the couch and into the wheelchair. His cat got off his lap and looked at Patton betrayed. Patton wheeled himself to the door and put on his jacket before he went out of the house with his mom. He was helped into the car and sat there looking out the window. It wasn’t the first time he had to go to therapy through the years. He sighed watching as they went to the meeting. __________

Roman walked into the meeting, Remus and Logan decided to follow him in to make sure he got to the right place. Roman looked and saw a door with a cartoon of some guy and a speech bubble saying come right in. Under the character there was information saying what the meeting was. Roman opened the door walking inside the room. Inside the room there was a guy wearing a sweater, a pink tie, and some jeans was setting up the room. He turned when he heard the door open, “Oh! Hello! I’m Emile.” He smiled and signed as he spoke, “Welcome, are you three here for the meeting?” Remus threw his arm over Roman’s shoulders, “N-nope, just, just bringing my ner-nerd bro here.” He replied then pushed Roman forward. Roman stumbled forward then glared at Remus before smiling at Emile and waving. Remus looked at Logan, “Let’s go. See, see ya later bro.” Remus walked out of the room leaving and going back to his car. Logan waved bye to Roman before following Remus out and to his car. Roman sat down in a chair.

Only after 5 minutes three people came into the room, one in a wheelchair. A woman pushed the wheelchair inside, “Hello! This is Patton.” she said and brought the kid in the chair over to the sitting area. Patton smiled, “Hello.” he greeted. The third person went to the back of the room, he was carrying a fold up table with him and put it down setting it up. Emile walked over to the guy and talked with him. The woman, Patton’s mom, waved goodbye and left. She paused at the door holding it open for two guys and a dog before she walked out leaving. Patton lifted himself out of his chair and sat down on the couch next to Roman, “Hi! Roman smiled and waved slightly back. The two guys walked over and sat on the couch opposite to Roman and Patton. Emile smiled and walked back over, “Hello, shall we begin?” he asked, making sure to sign along with what he said. He smiled and looked at Patton, “Why don’t you go first then we’ll go around the room.” Patton nodded grinning, “I’m Patton! Nice to meet you all!” Roman nodded and looked at Emile, “I’m Roman.” Emile repeated, translating for Roman. He then looked at the other two. “I’m Virgil.” Virgil signed then elbowed Janus next to him after he watched Emile repeat him. Janus sighed, “I’m Janus, this is Thomas my eyes. No you can’t pet him.” Janus greeted. Emile nodded, “Alright! Nice to meet you all. I’m Doctor Emile Picani!” He grinned then motioned for someone to come over. The guy from earlier walked over to them. “Hey.” he smiled pushing his sunglasses off and to the top of his head. “I’m Remy. I’m catering basically. So… there’s food over there.” He nodded smiling then stepped back going back over to the area he set up. Everyone waved at him before looking at Emile. Emile smiled, “We’re mostly going to play some games, and talk a bit.” Emile said and nodded grabbing a few things before starting. Roman and Virgil got grouped up and Janus and Patton got grouped up. Originally Emile had paired Virgil and Patton and Janus and Roman… it didn’t work too well, Patton was excited and spoke too fast for Virgil to understand him, then Roman had difficulties communicating with Janus. The games went well.

Near the end of the meeting they went over and ate snacks. Roman laughed softly watching Remy failing at flirting up Emile who didn’t even realize. He was pretty sure Remy volunteered to cater to flirt with Emile. They all hung out, talking and eating. Remus came into the room to pick up Roman and smiled, “Hey Bro!” He said and walked over. He grabbed some food and ate Roman waved at Remus. Remy glanced over, “I see you have a twin, that’s cool. Hey, what do you think of the food?” Remus looked up, “It’s good, have you ever tried adding peppers and pineapple to cookies?” Remy Paused, “Nope, do you have any other ideas?” Remus went over to him telling him a bunch of other ideas he thought of. Remy took notes. Before leaving Patton, Roman, Janus, and Virgil exchanged numbers finding each other fun. Everyone was taken home, it was almost dark out by now while they all went home. Roman ended up texting Logan about the meeting telling him how they mostly played games and he was excited to go again. Logan was glad he had fun at the meeting.

First Week

My first week interning in marketing for Stage AE was incredibly exciting for me. After being away from live music for so long due to Covid, I was more than ready to start the internship. I worked The Roots, Sad Summer Festival, St. Vincent, and Kesha. I also attended Glass Animals. For each show, I was given a call time two hours before doors opened. I introduced myself to office staff and went along with other interns to place flyers around the venue. These flyers are for other Stage AE shows that the audience coming that evening would also enjoy. We placed them in high traffic areas, bathrooms, and around the bars. In addition, we also placed radio banners on the fence, depending on which radio station had sponsored that specific show. I spent this time getting to know my fellow interns and get familiar with the venue. Attending Glass Animals and Kesha was very exciting. I am hoping to get a better idea of the process of putting on these shows as a whole moving forward. I am eager to have more responsibilities in weeks moving forward, but this week was a great way to ease into the experience.
