Arches Part 2

We left off with the Cornelia St apartment….

But another big connection to arches is the fact that Karlie is from St Louis which is of course best recognized by its famous arch…

And I came across even MORE Karlie posting with arches….

So while there isn’t a direct link, I do find the Koincidences here to be pretty big! Perhaps this is simply something Karlie loves. Maybe because of the St Louis arch connection.

I did find the fact that the “best friend chapel” had an arch that looked like Karlie’s house to be hilariously suspicious.

I don’t think this was any sort of Taylor masterminded thing…I just thought it was funny and wondered if the person responsible might be a Kaylor 😉

The most unrealistic part of this episode was that the trio seemed to be able to get up the Arch within minutes. Every time I go, it takes me about an hour to get in the building, get the tickets, wait in line, and up the elevator cars (that are even more hellish than what you see in the show).

The arc scene literally couldn't have been any better. I love it. I love it so much. Poseidon saving him and sending a messenger. Oh, Gods, I love it.

I appreciate the pjo show correcting the fact that it is indeed impossible to jump from the arch and land in the Mississippi without divine intervention.

Back again with my Percy Jackson elevator pitches

Ok so I have been to the saint louis arch. I’ve gone up inside it’s rickety little metal side in a rickety little metal elevator and stood at the top, with about thirty other people in a claustrophobic room that smelled horrible.

The thing about the St. Louis arch is: it takes a long time for the elevator to get all the way up. Like an atrocious amount of time, and it’s almost pitch black, and it’s a kgksjmbvlahgillion degrees.

Imagine you’re Grover or Annabeth. When the explosion happened, they would have been still in the elevator (which is more like a glorified hamster ball, really). The lights would have shut off, he machines stopped, and both of them would have KNOWN that Percy was in danger. But they were trapped and unable to do anything and so they would have had to just wait as the arch shook with explosions and people screamed and then

And then

It all went still

And the elevator started to move again

And annabeth and Grover are hanging on to each other sobbing because THEY DONT KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THEY JUST HEARD THEIR BEST FRIEND DIE
