Ok so I wasn't planning on writing another ask today cause I'm still working on an essay (about Malala Yousafzai. this shit is exhausting but fun cause she's iconic) that I'll need to hand in tomorrow, but I wanted to say something about this:

CAUSE GOD I AGREE. THIS. THIS.

This is a topic I'm very passionate about. Recently, I became part of the BL and GL fandom, mostly through Kinnporsche, and god the difference I noticed between those two 'genres' is huge. There's a (as a queer woman, horrifying) thing going on where the target audience of most BLs aren't... actual queer men, but much rather straight women. The amount of gay male sexualization I've witnessed in that fandom is frightening. The way mlm pairings are often 'straightified' with the terms 'husband' for the tOp and 'wife' for the BoTtOm (i hate these terms when they're used that way and the sexualization). As if a queer man who dresses feminine is the equivalent of a woman and therefore must be a bottom even though there ain't even a sex scene in the series. wtf. WTF. Good lord i need to stop ranting but this shit is so unfair. No harm in cishet ppl watching queer media, but they should never be the target audience.

(I also can't imagine how this must be for queer men who just want to be represented and then end up not even being the target audience. FOR A MLM STORY.)

Also notice how BLs get 1h long episodes and multiple seasons and world tours and meanwhile one of the best GLs I've watched is 10 minutes long. Ten minutes. :))))))))

And the same thing is again visible in western media such as Young Royals. Nothing against the show itself, absolutely 0% hate intended, but goooooood ppl really don't want us to be represented do they.

Going a step further, a reminder that even a lot of mainstream queer movies are created FOR cishet audience which is why a lot of the storylines focus on 'coming out' and 'family acceptance' - where 'allies' and straight people are key to the story. Just give me a story about gay people doing gay shit.

This endless need to feed the cishet community (and yes I'm aware it's a business ugh) is killing the dreams and stories of so many queer people.

sry to rant about a show you dont care about but it is wild watching the ableism in the stranger things fandom as ppl are whining abt robin 'not being cool' anymore because she's allowing her autistic traits to show and saying she 'totally changed' when she literally hasn't she's just stopped masking which is extra frustrating bc ppl couldn't believe before she claimed to be unpopular before but like hellooo there's the explanation why ur pretty cool girl isn't the popular girl.

and it's not subtle either because people are obviously aware she's autistic and are literally using that wording to complain. i hate neurotypicals. plus sometimes they try to be sneaky like 'well if they showed instead of telling' which reeks of 'if they wrote her as a stereotype instead of a nuanced person who masks so I didn't feel tricked into liking an autistic character'.

Oh yikes @ those fans. I swear every fandom has people like this and it's so fucking annoying.

And oh the thing about them blatantly just feeling "tricked into liking an autistic character". Yep, I've seen that with a lot of characters. Reminds me a little too of the people in the Casualty fandom who will go "Dylan can't be autistic, because I relate to him and I'm not autistic!", as if autistic characters can't possibly be, you know, complex and human and thus relatable even to people who aren't autistic, because they're just grossed out by the thought of relating to an autistic character. They want all autistic rep to be characters like Jason Haynes: deliberately written to be as inexplicable and unrelatable as possible, so they don't have to accept that autistic people are humans who could possibly have anything in common with other humans.

I truly understand the rant of this Jimin Stan. Jimin deserves waaay better than that. He's talented af just as the rest of the boys.

I admit, that he's my least fav, mostly because Hobi (who's my Ultibias) doesn't get big danceparts anymore since Jimin is maindancer "too".

Truth is they are just too polite to degrade Hobi to lead dancer, but now he's just that.

But this is not Jiminies fault, and both of them are very good dancers. Jimin just has waaaaay more stans and this is why he gets that parts. I am not happy with that, i would love to see the former Main Dancer have a part for himself again just once in a while so that they are equal.

Second reason is that i have a thing for deep voices, and I also resist his sexappeal bc he's too cute, sorry Jiminie ♡

But to point out: him being my least favourite doesn't mean I hate him, ofc not.

He's the cutest bean ever and I just love how kind and humble he is. A lot of people should take an example. I clearly can't understand why ppl have an urge to hate on Jimin.

But I also can't understand why there are ppl hating on other members. Like what.

This is a 7 ppl group and I love all of them even tho I have a bias list o.ô

Do y'all know why Jimin fans have been so outspoken and angry lately? Y’all blame us but you haven’t seen half of the bullshit that we deal with on the regular. 

Bighit made him show his abs when he was a minor and clearly stated that he didn’t want to do it which left him with so many insecurities growing up. You made constant comments about his weight and the way he looks that this boy literally starved himself to the point of collapsing on stage and in rehearsals. He lost the weight and then y'all asked him to get his cheeks back and instantly destroyed all the effort he put into loosing them. You say blood, sweat and tears Jimin is the best well no, fuck you. He ate one proper meal in ten days to be the Jimin you all loved and even then he got nothing but hated upon cause apparently he was way too much in the center when he literally had 11 seconds of solo screentime and you say PJMs are the worst?

Burn the stage was supposed to show you how much these boys struggle behind the scene and you took that as an open fucking invitation to make fun of his voice cracks as if that is something that doesn’t happen to the best of the singers. You made his voice cracks as compilations for people to laugh upon and antis to drag upon and you say PJMs are the worst?

Jimin used to be the most active member on twitter, that was where he felt like he could connect with us the most and what did you do? Made fun of his eyes, his hands, his fucking fingers and even his teeth which are all things he cannot change about himself and you all drove him off twitter. He stopped posting and stopped doing his famous silent videos and you say PJMs are the worst?

He always supported Taehyung even when nobody else did. Tae fucking cried at that letter saying how chim was there for him crying with him when nobody else was and once FOR ONCE Jimin accidently didn’t write Taes name on a fucking chalkboard and Tae stans sent him literal death threats to the point where BTS had to address the issue in a press conference and you say PJMs are the worst?

Park Jimin is a boy who has grown in front of all of our eyes and it’s so obvious even to outsiders that he has always been the absolute worst to himself. He has burnt out his body in practice rooms, he has burnt out his self esteem trying to sing for you, he has damaged his health trying to look good for you. Honestly, what the fuck do you want from this man? If he’s too much he is an attention seeker, if he is not too much then he isn’t good enough. You even came for his official positions in the group that he got for himself even with the shortest trainee period.

You say Jimin has a praise kink? Bitch that boy needs validation even for the smallest of things because YOU made him feel like he is not good enough over the years. It’s not a praise kink as much as it’s just self hatred.

So I’m sorry if PJMs are the worst but that is because you’ve left us no choice but to fiercely defend Jimin because armys act like you don’t claim him. If you don’t claim him at his worst don’t pretend to stan him when he is at his best. You don’t defend him when it’s needed but you’re proud that he broke a global record with promise? Well fuck you.

What can we do except for defending him with our own lives because you all have made him feel so fucking incompetent all these years. We as Jimin fans know and hate the bangtan bombs where he would cover his face with his hands the entire time cause he thought his face was too fat. We know how much that fucking hurt.

As someone who has struggled with her body image for years, I fucking hate what you put him through to the point of him hiding his face for entire videos. He couldn’t look straight at the camera in his own birthday video, that is how much you all have ruined him and you dare to say that PJMs are the worst when we are nothing compared to the bullshit you’ve put our man through.

If you come for Jimin just know that we won’t be silent as before man. You’ve ruined him enough and it won’t go any further than this. 

If you have the audacity to send him death threats and think that we as his fans won’t react or eventually get over it, you’re kidding yourselves. It was a Taehyung stan that sent him a death threat, don’t think we’ll ever forget that. His life isn’t yours to fuck with.

The next time I see someone claim to be a Jimin fan or an OT7 when all you’ve ever done is sit there on your keyboard and watch while thousands make fun of him right under his damn tweet very well knowing that Jimin stays on his phone and social media the longest of all members I pray to God that you choke cause if you can destroy this boy who has done nothing but loved everyone of your biases with all his chest; Y’all don’t fucking deserve him.

Hi! Little bit of a rant here (tw for ableism) But my parents say I can't be disabled because my two sibling have bigger issues then me (although my lil bro they don't say disabled, just that he throw fits) and I have to be the normal one, so I can never stim. And they say that they would've noticed if I had a disability, even though they didnt notice with my sis until a teacher pointed it out, and my bro is even more obvious than me. And like They support disabled ppl in theory but idk what
