Decided it was about time to update my iterator designs mostly due to how much of a pain they were to draw. All except for Pebbles of course <3 he only got minor tweaks.

I'll try not to redesign them for what... the 5th time or something

If the Rebel au is mostly based on Sigs, Pebbles, and Ino, what roles do the others play?

(Ex. Moon is Sigs therapist)

Ooohoho, the others roles. Also, lil fun tid bit Moon doesn’t stay Sig’s “therapist” for long.

But let’s get to the basics, before Sig’s massacre, everyone’s roles were a bit the same. (Aka find great problem and attend to their citizens or some crap). Any other side activity they wanted to do to help themselves or others was up to them. For example, (ur fav character) Wind keeps an eye on Ino and their shenanigans. Acting like an older sibling for Ino of some sort. Suns and Pebbs kinda do their own thing for the time being and Moon is busy either attending to herself or Sig. But that all changes when the fire nation attack. (I need to stfu)

After Sig’s massacre of his own citizens and is now roaming free

These are the others status:

Moon: still available and well (kinda). Find and track Sig

Pebbles: still available and well (he’s not well at all) same role as Moon

Ino: unavailable (slowly cuts themselves off from everyone. Secretly helping Sig on his rampage for shits and giggles)

Suns: unavailable (they’re out of commission for a very painful reason that will be discussed later)

Wind: unavailable (PISSED OFF :3. Busy trying to contact Ino. Starting to get what is going on. Wind loses their sanity as time goes by)

Sig: unavailable (planning…)

You can tell not a lot of them stay sane enough for a role :3

Some (current) Iterator references for the Dark Rain AU

i love the iterators sm they were so fun to scug. i love scugging the iterator. design notes below cut

moon: accidentally gave her a raptor pose oops. anyway. jade-y blue, colorshifted from a more neutral blue - pinkish red markings, colorshifted from a more red. arrows and circles for markings and big ears. deep orange an red poncho with a yellow end, tassels and round brooch and a small extra on her tail because she's a senior and also very cool :]

suns: meant to look sorta like a wise mentor, i'd like to think he's a senior too, which is also why his poncho has tassels. his colors are meant to look sort of like fire with an exception of the deep magenta that was added for contrast and because it looked nice. dark magenta-purple poncho with medium pinks and yellows for accents and a sun brooch matching his head pattern.

pebbles: reddish-pink with a sandy accent color and yellow patterns that are dots + rounded arrows to match moon's because theyr'e siblings. same goes for this poncho with an exception of having no red and lighter oranges + yellows. he has tassels on his to match moon aswell. also angst is hidden below his poncho :] i made it fit neatly under there without editing the lineart

sigs: i love contrasting colors so much oh my god literally THE green/purple combo character. blue-green with yellow as accent and teal-green for patterns. poncho + scarf are more blue-purple than just purple to not contrast too much while the patterns on them are a jade color. the brooch is diamond shaped to match their head pattern.

wind: soft, toned down muted blue-gray colors with an accenting muted pastel orange. streamers on their chin and tail because i didn't get to put wings on them. decently fluffy. no reason. orange poncho with a cloud shaped brooch.

innocence: oops i sparklecatted again. not sure if i like the pose or anatomy for UI it looks a bit too cat-like, the pose made it hard to put the poncho on them. dark, muted blue-purple to a lighter pink-red because we. really don't know alot about them other than (supposedly) their overseer being purple. feather tipped tail and four wings, short feather mane and two feather 'antenna' of sorts. sunset colored poncho and star shaped brooch + star shaped patterns. also the only design i didn't colorshift (other than patterns)

new angsty whumpy jamie-centric idea/prompt: what if jamie was the youngest of 3 brothers and the older two are very james-like, maybe there's a more significant age gap (perhaps they're half siblings from james' first marriage and they lived together when james married georgie and had jamie?).

They always made fun of him for being too soft, too delicate and a mummy's boy, always being a little duck trailing behind georgie, being bullies filled with toxic masculinity and misogyny and made fun of his roy-kent-special-interest and his talking a lot and the fidgeting/the hands.

They moved out with james when he left and came back in jamie's life when james did, they were on the amsterdam trip too and now want to try and have a relation since jamie is rich and famous but they're still homophobic bullies, they are equally bad as james to simon who they also deem 'not a real man' because he cooks and cleans and enjoys baking etc

I've not thought through their role in adult-jamie life, maybe they could be substituting denbo and bug in hanging out with james and being fucking shitheads. Maybe one reaches out acting well trying to trick him to get back into his life and jamie has always wished he had a good relationship with them cause they're his big brothers but now he has lots of big brothers on the team and he knows what it's meant to feel like (I know a lot of players are younger than him but I'm sure there's quite a few older).

Can be shippy or not, I guess the whole bi!jamie and/or jamieroy of it all can definitely play a part in the targeted abuse.

I am a sunstone enjoyer, but realistically, I think suns would try to keep their relationship platonic and professional. They feel responsible for pebbles, so they won’t let their feelings get in the way.

Yes, pebbles loves and respects moon. Yes, his self-destructive spiral hurt her anyway. Tragic siblings my beloved

I’m also a milkshake enjoyer. Me when two autistic characters fundamentally misunderstand each other and clash because their traits happen to grate against each other
