(had the idea after a post i saw, but not able to find it) Peter, a civilian, was already very late to his job as an intern in the Daily Bugle, but to his bad luck, a villain attacked the city. So out of mistake because of a sleep disorder, he knockout punched Dr. Doom while running already late to his work; he didn't even notice he did that to Dr. Doom as he was in his job and explained to JJ Jamson why he was late. The thing is, Peter didn't even notice he did that, and the Daily Bugle, like Jamson, didn't say anything; after all, he one punched Dr. Doom, and you kind of have to be crazy to take pictures of Spiderman.
- Peter's bad luck was that he somehow knocked out all his villains that way, as Peter Parker did. People started to think he would become a villain in the future. Harry has no idea what his friend is doing and is going crazy about it. What is he thinking? - Dr. Doom hates Peter the photograph(hear Dr. Doof Perry voice) just as much as Squirrel Girl! - Yes, Doreen had the fun of doing the same as Peter, as she joined him in the Daily Bugle. Jamson was totally okay with that girl joining; she helps Peter stay out of trouble, and both are making nice pictures! - Poor Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius was asked by his wife Rosalie Octavius to make sure that Peter doesn't do valiant work. That somehow saved him from being turned into a villain. Making sure Peter doesn't go villain.
Over time, it became the idea of a Villian Ogin story in New York.
The Cilvilian who did go vile because he did go late to work and lost his job.
The irony was Squirrel Girl's is the non-mutant or only mutant liked in New York.
Outsider:" That is a mutant!" New Yorker:" Just because her hair color doesn't mean she's a mutant!" Outsider:" I mean her squirrel tail!" New Yorker:" She just likes to cosplay."Leave her alone."

Punch Out AU: Archie Comics AU
I love the Archie Comics and here's an AU based on it. What if Punch Out characters were living together in the little town known as Riverdale?
Little Mac: After moving to Riverdale with his adoptive family, Macintosh Sanders or Mac for short, made new friends with Archie and the Gang, he's also friends with others who also move to Riverdale as well, including Mika, Birdie and so many others. Mac is both smart and athletic, even though people would often made fun of his short structure but he has a good heart and a great heart.
Star Mika: Mac's childhood friend from middle school who just moved to Riverdale after her dad got a new job as police commissioner. Mikaela Florence Tiongson is very sweet, kind and always lend a helping hand, a straight A student and student council president. She's a multipotentialite, meaning that she on many different interests and hobbies and she's also an otaku by heart who has a love for cosplaying. Mika also has a crush on Joe, the French teacher but she somehow got into a love triangle with Aran and Don, making her somewhat the alternate opposite to Archie. And if anyone can rival Betty's baking, then Mika is that person.
Doc Louis: Louis James Sanders, better known as heavy weight boxer Doc Louis, is Mac's adoptive father and is good friends with Coach Clayton. He owns a small gym in Riverdale and has a love for chocolate.
Glass Joe: Joseph Le Verre or Joe for short, is a French teacher in Riverdale High who teaches, well French of course. He's often called 'Glass Joe' due to getting his jaw broken every time he tries to do sports, Joe also knows that Mika has a crush on him so he started developing feelings towards her even though their ages are different.
Von Kaiser: Viktor Von Kaiser is a strict boxing instructor who works in Doc's gym and he teaches boxing to young children. Even though he's strict, he's a bit of a scaredy cat and often say 'Mami (Mommy)' whenever he's scared or often gets startled.
Disco Kid: Dean Martin Sanders is Mac's adoptive brother who is a year older than him although he goes to the same school as he's brother. Dean is a lover for disco dancing and has a bit of an 80's aesthetic which he often has given the nickname of 'Disco Kid' due to his talent for dancing. He's also Chuck's wingman when it comes to finding ideas for Chuck's dates with Nancy.
King Hippo: Maui Māhoe is a mute Hawaiian who comes from the mysterious place known as Hippo Island and is the heir to the throne but he decided to have a normal life with his adoptive Hawaiian family in Riverdale. He was given the nickname 'King Hippo', due to him grunting and eating a lot, sort of Jughead's opposite counterpart. Piston Hondo: From Tokyo, Japan, Takeo Hondo is the son of the CEO of a car company and if anyone can rival Betty's knowledge of auto mechanics, then it's Hondo who's the one. He was given the nickname 'Piston Hondo', due to his skills in auto mechanics and he's also the guy who will fix any car of his friends.
Bear Hugger: A great jolly man who's similar to Santa Claus, Bryan Harris is a Canadian man who works at Riverdale's Lumber Mill. He's a nature lover, a down to earth person and has a pet bear and squirrel named Mr. Bear and Chipper, that's why people would often call him 'Bear Hugger'. He loves the maple bacon burgers at Pop Tate's and often tell stories about the days in the forest to the 'youths' as he would describe teenagers.
Great Tiger: Ranjeet Patel is Raj's cousin from India. He's got magic powers that no one can understand and often helps Raj with his films since he supports his dreams. He's given the nickname 'Great Tiger', due to his love for tigers and has magic abilities.
Don Flamenco: Raphael Santa Cruz, better known by his nickname as 'Don Flamenco', is a Spanish exchange student who comes from a long line of matadors or bull fighters. He's also a bit of a ladies man, a real charmer that can rival both Archie and Reggie for girls' heart. Even though he already has a girlfriend name Carmen, he's in a love triangle with Mika and Aran, making him the alternate counterpart to Veronica.
Aran Ryan: Aran Conor Ryan is an Irish bad boy and is Reggie's rival when it comes to pulling pranks. If Reggie is worse, then Aran is 10x way worse than him. He often brings bad luck whenever someone tries to tick him off or make fun of his friends, then you better watch out for this feral menace. He's the somewhat Betty counterpart in the love triangle between Don and Mika.
Soda Popinski: The Russian employee at Pop Tate's, Ivan Grigoriy Paccewich, better known as 'Soda Popinski', loves soda and would often try to cheer any customer down with his signature flavors of soda. Pop and Soda would often be named 'The Fizzy Duo', due to their love for finding ways to cheer up customers with just a soda in one hand and an ice cream scoop in the other. Bald Bull: Burak Deniz Agha is a security guard at Riverdale High and would often catch anyone trying to sneak off of campus. He was given the nickname of 'Bald Bull', due to his lack of hair and anger issues, he's also camera shy.
Super Macho Man: The very rich and 'very strong' Steven Marley or better known as 'Super Macho Man', the face of Curly Cola and swimming coach at Riverdale High. Steve loves posing for the picture and guess who's Steve's biggest? None other than Reggie Mantle, who sees 'Mr. Marley or Coach Marley' as his idol.
Mr. Sandman: The serious Geography teacher, Mr. Samuel Elliot Sands or the students prefer to call him 'Mr. Sandman', since he always check the time, an early bird and night owl at the same time. He's a very close family friend to the Claytons and the Sanders and whenever he feels overtired, he would often sleep in his desk when the class is doing an activity.
(Bonus: Super Punch Out)
Birdie: Billy Byrd is Mika and Mac's childhood friend from middle school and the jokester of the trio. He's been called 'Birdie', due to being speedy and fast, the star of track and field.
Gabby Jay: The school librarian Gabriel François Lavigne or Gabby Jay for short, he's Joe's somewhat grandfather figure since he would often gives him advice and works part time as a waiter in Pop Tate's. He's also currently dating Doc, despite Mac's and Birdie's dismay but Mika thought it was romantic.
Bob Charlie: The class comedian Baron Ajani Whyte or Bob Charlie for short, if anyone who can rival Disco Kid's moves then it's got to be Bob Charlie. Bob is a very mellow and calm guy, your typical 'hippie' but he can get ticked off whenever someone plays really loud music.
Dragon Chan: Haitao Chen, better known by his friends as 'Dragon Chan', is the club president of the Martial Arts/Kung Fu Club and Hondo's best friend. Dragon is always quick to think however he would often gets reminded by his friends or his 祖父 (grandfather), Hoy Quarlow.
Piston Hurricane: Alejandro Bembe González, better known as 'Piston Hurricane', is Birdie's rival in track and field and bookworm who would often hang out with Moose and Dilton.
Masked Muscle: Riverdale High's very own luchador, Santiago Ángel Hernández or by his stage name 'Masked Muscle'. Santiago is a bit of a prankster, always trying to one up with Aran and Reggie but he often flirts with girls, much to the dismay of Don, Archie and Reggie.
Heike Kagero: Riverdale High's fashion king and kabuki dancer, Heike Kagero. He loves hanging out with some of the girls in school and because he became so popular due to his long hair, often getting mistaken for a girl himself.
Mad Clown: Leonardo Esposito, better known as 'Mad Clown', runs the Riverdale Children's Hospital as both a doctor and an entertainer. He used to be an opera singer until he retired from the stage.
Narcis Prince: Nathaniel Howard Prince, is your typical narcistic pretty boy who would often rival with Veronica and Cheryl due to their families' wealth. He was given the nickname of 'Narcis Prince', due to his narcistic personality and mannerism. The only friends who support him are Mika, Aran (sometimes), Birdie and Heike.
Hoy Quarlow: Hoy Xu Quarlow is Dragon's grandfather and teaches kung fu lessons at home. Even though he may look old but he's stronger than you think.
Rick and Nick Bruiser: Richard Phillips and Nicholas Phillips, better known as the 'Bruiser Brothers', are your typical jocks/delinquents however they both have different personalities: Rick is rowdy, cheerful and lazy while Nick is smart, serious and quiet. Both would often support each other and often people would mistaken them for identical twins.
(Please feel free to add your own OCs! Enjoy this wacky AU of mine!)

A list of fandoms I'm in (in no particular order, will probably be updated regularly. Some fandoms are more intense and some are more casual. Depending on the fandom, I could go on and on about fandom topics for HOURS. Let's get into it!)
Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, DC comics, Miraculous Ladybug, Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra, Star Wars, Literature, Winx Club, Nintendo, Minecraft, Little Witch Academia, Voltron, Coraline
Details:
Harry Potter- I got into Harry Potter in 7th grade and now I am the resident expert in my family and in my friend group. I read all the books, watched all the movies (notably the British version), and I've seen the Fantastic Beasts films as well. I've also read Tales of Beedle the Bard (the Warlock's Hairy Heart was traumatizing) along with the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them textbook (plus an updated edition). I also read The Cursed Child script and while I mean no hate to anyone that liked it, I hated what it did to the canon. I am in Hufflepuff with some Ravenclaw tendencies (I took the Pottermore quiz 3 times, 2 out of 3 I got Hufflepuff, the other time was Ravenclaw). I had a pottermore account and I was so upset when it got converted to the Wizarding World page. I cosplayed Hermione in 7th grade complete with British accent and even monologued as her for a talent show (classmates and teachers would recognize me as the Hermione girl all the way through high school). I was obsessed and I still love it even if J.K. Rowling has gone off the deep end on Twitter... yeah... my favorite character is Hermione but I also relate to Luna
Disney- there's so much that goes into the Disney part of my fandom list. I'm excluding Marvel and Star Wars from this part as they were originally separate entities before Disney got the rights to them. I have seen almost every animated Disney film ever and often use random movie quotes in conversation. My favorite villain is Maleficent, my favorite princess is Ariel (followed by Belle, Rapunzel, and Anna). I relate to so many of the characters. I'm not sure who my favorite Pixar character is though (I love Violet, Sadness, Dory, and Piper (from the short)). My favorite Disney fairy is Fawn. My favorite characters overall are Ariel and Stitch. Disney is definitely on the list as one of my biggest obsessions. My favorite movies are Lilo and Stitch, the Little Mermaid, Inside Out, Alice in Wonderland (original), and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
Marvel- I mostly get my Marvel exposure through the MCU, other movies, and animated TV shows. I have difficulty reading graphic novels so most of my comic book knowledge comes from friends, posts, or wikis. My favorite characters are Spider-Man, Captain America, Peggy Carter, and Scarlet Witch. I also like Gwenpool, Deadpool, Spider-Gwen/ Ghost-Spider, Venom, Squirrel Girl, Daredevil, Mantis, Gamora, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Bucky, Black Panther, and most MCU characters. Out of the X-men I really like Professor X, Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Quicksilver (either version- MCU or Fox).
DC- this was the franchise I was more familiar with growing up but again, graphic novels aren't easy for me to read so most of my knowledge comes from information pages about the comics or from tv/movies. My earliest experience with DC came from the 60s Batman series, with Catwoman and Robin being my favorites. I also watched the Wonder Woman series from the 70s and a handful of CW shows, my favorite of which being the Flash and Arrow. I also managed to watch all 5 seasons of the Teen Titans Cartoon Network series from 2003. With that being said, my favorite characters are Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Flash, Batman, Nightwing/Robin (Dick Grayson), Green Arrow, Starfire, Raven, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Alfred. I also like most of the bat family, and when it comes to CW I LOVE Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and Cisco.
Miraculous- this is one of my guilty fandoms but since this is Tumblr I'm not too worried about it. I love Marinette and I relate to her on an astoundingly deep level (minus the stalking and obsession with potential lovers, that's creepy). If I had a miraculous, I'd probably want the Ladybug one, but the Cat miraculous, fox miraculous, and snake miraculous are good too. My favorite character is Marinette/Ladybug.
Atla/Tlok- I jumped on the avatar bandwagon just when it was starting to get popular, so I managed to get through the series before the memes took over everything. Same with Tlok, although i couldn't completely avoid the spoilers for that when i started it. I've been wanting to get into the comics because of the short story comics I've read, they seem easier to read than superhero comics. My favorite characters are Aang, Katara, Ty Lee, Iroh, Korra, Jinora, Asami, Suki, Appa, Momo, Naga, and Pabu. I also like Sokka, Mai, Zuko, Lin, Kuvira, Varrick, Zhu Lee, and Azula. I feel really sorry for her and while I understand that a redemption arc would undermine the importance of her corruption arc, I still wish she could have one. I would love to be a waterbender or an airbender... maybe a waterbender raised in the air nation? Obviously, being the avatar itself would be awesome. The show has taught me a lot of great lessons and put a lot of stuff into perspective for me.
Star Wars- oh boy, talking about this one is dangerous. I've seen firsthand the horrors of the Star Wars fandom but then again no one will probably see this anyway so... I've seen all the movies and I remember watching the clone wars series with my brother when I was younger but we fell wayyy behind and it's taking us forever to get back into it. I've also seen the Mandalorian and quite enjoyed it. I like the prequels unironically, in fact, the prequels are some of my favorite movies. I especially like how they switched from lightsabers being heavy weapons to light weapons that can be used for all kinds of tricks that make for epic battles like the ones we see in Revenge of the Sith. The sequels were fun to watch but when I would analyze them along side their predecessors, I came to the conclusion that, for me, they were good to watch but did not do anything good for the rest of the franchise. My favorite characters are prequels/clone wars Obi Wan and Anakin, Padme, Ashoka, Leia, R2D2, BB-8, R4-P17, the Mandalorian (Din Djarin), and Grogu. If I had a lightsaber I'd want it to be blue, but when I was little I got a purple one like Mace Windu because it was closer to pink and I was into pink at the time. I still have that lightsaber and none of my friends have a purple one so it's one of my flexes. I feel like I wouldn't make a good jedi because of attachments being forbidden, so I'd probably become a grey jedi.
Literature- this is a broad term I use to cover all the random books and stories I liked reading and have studied. So we have Shakespeare (Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet), The Great Gatsby (bored while reading, loved to analyze), Grendel (HATED reading, loved to analyze, Grendel really needed a hug and a friend), The Crucible, Fahrenheit 451, Dark Life (+ the sequel Riptide, both are by Kat Falls good reads, sci-fi and kind of dystopian), The Once and Future King
Winx Club- I think the show is trashy but I still love watching it. I haven't been able to get through season 6 though and I hated what they did with season 8 and Fate: the Winx Saga. My favorite character is Bloom along with Stella and Flora. I prefer rai to nick. My favorite transformations are magic winx, enchantix, and harmonix. My favorite member of the Trix is Icy followed by Darcy. My favorite Pixies are Chatta and Lockette.
Nintendo- mainly Pokémon above all else, followed by Animal Crossing. I have also played (mostly as player 2 or just never beat or watched my brother play) mario games, legend of zelda, pikmin, and kirby. Games I haven't played but I just liked the characters/the lore and probably learned about through Super Smash Bros. are Fire Emblem (Lucina mostly), Metroid (Samus and baby metroid), and Kid Icarus. Pokémon is where I'm most knowledgeable but you'll most likely beat me in battle. I am however great at MarioKart and I always destroy my friends at it. Terrible at fighting games though.
Minecraft- I like playing this casually. Sure, I'll play for hours and hours on end for months, but I prefer to stay exclusively in peaceful when playing Survival mode and I don't make anything too ambitious in Creative mode. I like to write, so sometimes I'll make a rough layout of the settings of my stories in different worlds. I prefer interior design and decorating when building, and when in survival mode I focus more on mining and gathering while my brother works on ambitious building projects. I just bring him the raw materials and furnish the interior when he finishes the outside.
Little Witch Academia- this takes up a smaller portion of my fandom list because there were only 2 seasons and a couple movies and I watched the whole series years ago, but I still enjoy it. At one point I wanted to cosplay Akko, and I loved the nod at Twilight through the Nightfall series. And I especially liked the twist that Shiny Chariot was Ursula, which I suspected for some time. The blend between magic and technology was fun to see, but I was so sad that the series ended RIGHT when Akko finally showed signs of magic proficiency. Also, Shiny Chariot being the reason Akko couldn't do magic was heartbreaking.
Voltron- this takes up a much smaller portion of my fandom list mainly because I haven't even finished it. I know hardly anything about Transformers aside from the Bumblebee movie so to me I just watch it for fun. It reminds me of power rangers, star wars, and star trek, and then there's just a transformer insert. But I don't know anything about Transformers so maybe the show is more rooted in canon than I think.
Coraline- I am in a love-hate relationship with Coraline. I have watched the movie several times, I've read the book, I've watched hours of theories and analyses on youtube, I've watched behind the scenes videos by Laika, and I even wrote a script for a fan film parody. I am amazed at how original the story is and how impressive the stop motion animation is but I also have recurring nightmares from it and it scares me/creeps me out to the max. If anyone asks what my scariness limit is, it's definitely Coraline.

♡52 Weeks of Lolita Questionnaire♡
In a recent Lovely Lor video, Lor answered questions from Loliprompts’ questionnaire “52 weeks of lolita”. It seems like a fun list of questions and I thought I would answer them too~ ♡
1. What is your favorite brand, and why? What’s its history? ♡ I guess my favorite brand would have to be Angelic Pretty. I love a lot of other brands, but the majority of dresses in my wish list right now are Angelic Pretty. As for their history? I don’t really know haha, I guess I should research that a bit.
2. How would you describe lolita fashion to a curious person you met in passing? ♡ I always just say I am apart of a fashion club? People don’t generally require more than that but if they did I would probably tell them that it’s an alternative fashion based on Victorian fashion and we have a fashion club and we get dressed up and meet for tea and stuff.
3. What style do you think is the most underrated, and why? ♡ qi and wa lolita. I almost never see them, or see interest in them which is a shame because there are some really beautiful dresses out there that are suited for these styles.
4. What does the phrase “lolita lifestyle” mean to you, and do you, or would you like to, adhere to it? ♡ lolita lifestyle is when you try to bring lolita or lolita-esque aesthetics into every aspect of your life. Maybe wearing lolita every or most days, and having a very “loliable” home/room. I could never be a lifestyler because I have other fashion interests. Also lolita is not appropriate at my workplace.
5. What do you think constitutes lolita etiquette or good manners? ♡ I don’t believe there is any “lolita etiquette” I think you should just be yourself. Good manner are good manners, don’t be rude to your comm members, don’t dance on the tables at a tea party. But that’s just commonsense I don’t think there is a way to behave that is lolita.
6. Does your style change with the seasons, or do you dress the same and try to bear the cold/heat? ♡ I try, but admittedly I am awful at it. I try to keep berets in the cooler months, as well as long sleeves. BUT I’m a sucker for ankle socks and I wear them all year despite the cold and I do freeze my legs off at winter meets.
7. Do you have a fashion role-model? What do you admire most about them? ♡ I actually have several! I will list them and their instagrams here: sleepyriri - Her coords are so dreamy looking, very light floaty aesthetic which I love. She also has her own lolita brand! Le_verger_sucre - Her coords are so pink and princess-y. I find myself sharing her photos a lot. Fannyrosie - the classic lolita queen. Need I say more? Tokimeki.bunny - I love the cuteness of her coords. They always have a lot of extra elements and are so well balanced. She’s also really good at coordinating printed tights which I am awful at. Tsumikko - Lavender QUEEN! I love her use of aprons, layering, and color balancing. Very light, floaty vibes. Milkcircus - Print QUEEN. Her use of prints and patterns absolutely inspires me. Coords are always very multi-dimensional Cursed.Kaiser - They’re coords are honestly so cool, there’s a kind of drama in them that I really like. Darkxdelirium - She almost made me want honey cake with her impeccable coording skills.
8. What are the top 10 things you love most about lolita? Can you also compile a list of things you hate? ♡ I don’t think I can come up with 10 but I’ll do my best. ♡ Loves: The community aspect, the ability to reclaim my femininity through lolita, the creativity that goes into building coords, crafting to make one of a kind pieces, being able to feel beautiful without being “sexy”, having a hobby to focus on when I need something to escape to.
♡ Hates: Second-hand market price fluctuation, brands still releasing dresses with a max 96cm bust, buying petticoats, storing my stuff (especially purses), brands who charge astronomical prices for low quality materials (AP purses, Q-pot jewelry, etc).
9. How strict are you in applying the rules to yourself? To others? ♡ I am pretty strict on myself. For a long time I was terrified to be seen as ita. I was even afraid to wear bodyline for fear of being ”ita” even though my coord was good. These days I am less strict on myself and worry much less about these things, but I still struggle to get out of the strict mindset from time to time. others? I love experimentation even if I am afraid to do so so I am really not too strict on others, if it works, it works, and I am not going to criticize anyone.
10. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever incorporated into a coord, or the weirdest material you’ve ever worn? ♡ The weirdest thing I think I have ever worn in a coord were a pair of korilakkuma bell earrings. As you can imagine, bells on your ears? not great.
11. What’s the story behind your discovery of lolita fashion? ♡ When I was a senior in high school, a new girl started attending my school. She wore fairy kei and sweet lolita to school. We became friends through art class and eventually she ended up teaching me about the fashion. She sold me my first dress, and later my first brand piece. I am really glad to have met her and to have been exposed to lolita. You can follow her on instagram here
12. What is the one item that you’ve owned the longest? ♡ I still own my very first dress I got in 2012. Bodyline Squirrel Party. However, I am planning to sell it since I’ve worn it in everyway I can think of.
13. Do you think lolita is only about clothes, or does it also encompass a certain attitude or mindset? ♡ Lolita is about the fashion. All kinds of people are lolitas and they like it or wear it for different reasons.
14. Have you ever decorated a room or other space (car?) with lolita aesthetics in mind? ♡ My old bedroom used to be very “kawaii”. I love pink so my car stuff, my desk, as much as I can get away with, is pink.
15. Is it possible to be too obsessed with lolita? ♡ If lolita is interfering with your ability to pay your bills, or to be happy, or to focus on school or work or family then you should probably pull back. Some people do get very absorbed by things and in those cases it can become too much.
16. What are you favorite and least favorite trends? Do you think it’s important to follow them, or to do as you like regardless of them? ♡ My favorite trend ever is the chiffon half blouse. So comfortable, affordable, light, cute, and much more size inclusive. Least favorite trend? mis-matched shoes from the 2010 era. I like my shoes to get equal wear. I think these days more than ever, you can really just do whatever you want. Wear the fashion is right now is like anything goes which I think is great,
17. How do you define “lolita cosplay” and how do you feel about it? ♡ Lolita cosplay is stupid. sorry
18. Are there other fashions that you wear regularly, or are you an everyday lolita? ♡ I don't wear other street fashions anymore. I used to wear fairy kei and himekaji but these days I just dress regular outside of lolita.
19. Do you look for bargains to save as much money as possible, or are you willing to make sacrifices for high-quality products? ♡ I try to find the best prices when applicable but if I am in love with something I’ll do what I have to do.
20. When was the last time you wore lolita, and what did you do that day? If you wear it daily, when was the last time you went OTT or extra-fancy? ♡ The last time I wore lolita was in April lmao. For a virtual meet-up with my comm.
21. If you were to combine lolita fashion with an unrelated style or theme, what would your new creation be? ♡uhhhh I honestly have no idea at all.
22. What is your favorite accessory, and why is it your favorite? ♡ I have 2, 2-way bow clips from back when bodyline had a massive “sundries” section. They're no longer available and haven't been for a long time. I am really glad I got them, I wish I had bought more sundries when that section was still there.
23. What’s your favorite online lolita community or forum? Are there any that you avoid? ♡ I don’t have a favorite tbh. I have never been on 4chan and I never will be.
24. What is your favorite theme (e.g. school loli, pirate loli, nurse loli) or motif (e.g. deer, music notes, stars/constellations)? ♡ black and gold stars! Valentines day! fruits! gingham!
25. Is there any music that you associate with lolita? ♡ orange caramel lol
26. Will you ever be too old for lolita? ♡ never
27. Do you enjoy sewing? Why or why not? ♡ I don’t know how to sew :(
28. How does your location affect your involvement in the local lolita community? Would you like to move elsewhere to be closer, or perhaps farther away? ♡ I drive about 1.5 hours for meetups because that’s the closest active comm. I do not mind so much. I’d like to maybe be closer.
29. Does your sleepwear resemble lolita at all? ♡ not at all. I sleep in oversized t-shirts
30. Can you admit to any unpopular opinions regarding lolita? ♡ I hate peeking bloomers. I’m sorry :(
31. How do you feel about Visual kei or Jrock, and do you feel it’s related to lolita, or not? ♡ Love it, and absolutely. Visual Kei is like lolitas relative.
32. Whether or not you wear them (looking at you, Ouji), do you prefer the look of skirts, JSKs, and OPs with or without prints? ♡ I like both, but these days I am appreciating non-printed items more.
33. How has your style evolved over time? ♡ It hasn't really, just gotten more refined.
34. If applicable, what other communities do you belong to? What other identities do you adopt? ♡ I’m queer, so the LGBTQ community is important to me.
35. What are your favorite shoes to wear with your style, or what’s your dream pair? ♡ I love heels. I do not like flat shoes because I like to elongate my legs. I don’t have a dream pair.
36. Would you, or have you ever, dressed your pets in lolita? ♡ lol I’d try but I don't think it would work.
37. How do you feel about people who wear lolita for Halloween? Does it depend on whether that person is already a lolita? ♡ Wearing lolita for Halloween as a lolita is fine, but wearing it as a costume is kind of meh.
38. Excluding fashion shows, what’s the most amount of outfits you’ve ever worn in a day? ♡ just 1 haha
39. What’s your worst lolita horror story? ♡ I don’t really have any. I one time went with some of my college friends to a con and I left my dorm building in full sweet early in the morning. I was afraid my dormmates would see me cause I did not want to explain but luckily no one was awake and I made it to the van unscathed.
40. Do you like sweets? If so, what’s your favorite dessert? ♡ I love angel food cake
41. Do you have any beauty products, health routines, or special diet to keep you at your best? ♡ I take co-q-10 for my eczema, I like laneige lip sleeping mask, especially in the winter.
42. What were the best and worst meetups you’ve hosted? If you haven’t hosted, would you like to someday? ♡ I wanted to host a garden meet this summer but covid ruined that. Maybe next year.
43. Who is your favorite artist? If not famous for lolita art, do you think they have lolita appeal? ♡ I love a lot of artists, some of them I think are lolita-adjacent because their style is kawaii. I’ll list some here: jisaaaa! ubokhee MISOART_ meowwniz gojio_ hanavbara Fancy Surprise Arcade Healer Yurie Sekiya and many many more. Go stalk my following on instagram for lots of kawaii artists.
44. How do you feel about wigs? Do you wear any, or style your natural hair? ♡ I used to wear wigs, but my hair is too long now so I use my natural hair with fake bangs.
45. What’s your favorite animal motif? ♡ bears?
46. Have you ever visited a brand’s shop/boutique? If so, what was your reaction? If not, what shop would you most like to visit? ♡ I want to visit AP San Francisco
47. Do you think posting photos of your coord online is a crucial part of belonging to the community? ♡ YES, it’s how we all stay connected and inspired
48. How has the lolita community changed since you became a part of it? Where do you see lolita heading in the future in terms of community and networking? ♡ I think it’s become way more accepting and accessible. When I got into lolita there were virtually no legit resellers, the community was entirely on livejournal, buying second hand was a nightmare. Buying anything! was a nightmare. There was so much stress around looking “ita”, and the superiority of brand. These days its just not like that. So much amazing taobao brands have really helped even the field for lolita. We have so much more access to the clothes, the community, everything. It’s great. I only see it getting better as years go on.
49. What advice would you give someone who is nervous about starting lolita? Or do you think they should learn their own lessons? ♡ I think too many lolitas today rely on seasoned lolitas to tell them everything. I would say, go watch lovely lor, read @lolita-tips and look at other peoples coordinates. Lolita Tips tumblr taught me basically everything I know back in the day and it a wealth of info and concrit. Part of what makes the lolita journey so great is the research, the learning, the mistakes. You don’t wanna be like someone else, you wanna be you. So you really need to do the work yourself so you can put your personal flair into the fashion. That’s when it’s at its best.
50. What’s your dream dress/garment? Is it a faraway goal or have you obtained it? ♡ My dream dress was AP sweetie violet jsk in lavender. Which I got in 2019. My new dream dress is AP rose tea garden jsk in navy. It’ll probably be a while before I can afford to buy one.
51. How do you feel about the stereotype that lolitas are full of drama? What’s the worst drama you’ve ever witnessed or been involved in? ♡ I think any and all groups of people are bound to have drama. I don’t believe that’s specific to lolita at all. I personally have not been involved in any lolita drama.
52. Are you loyal to any particular makeup brands? ♡ I am very particular about my makeup because I do not like to use certain ingredients. I really like Pacifica. But I also like some Korean brands like The Saem, MISSHA, and TonyMoly.
This was super long but I had fun answering all the questions. Have you done this questionnaire? I’d love to see your answers~

Event Report: NorthEast Comic Con (Spring 2019)
Back in November, I spent my Thanksgiving weekend attending my first NorthEast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza. Having had a blast, I was excited to return for the next semi-annual event. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait very long, as its Spring 2019 edition occurred over Saint Patrick's Day weekend. I returned to the Regency Hotel in Boxboro, Massachusetts on March 16 to experience all the celebrities, panels, comedy, concerts, vendors, and other fun it had to offer.
The afternoon kicked off with a panel featuring iconic comedian/actor Gilbert Gottfried (Aladdin). He was funny, as he naturally is, but this was not a standup set; it was an honest conversation. He discussed everything from the recent fake outrage over his not being in the new Aladin film and the controversial jokes that resulted in his being fired as the voice of the Aflac Duck, to being raised on the Universal monster movies (and questioning why the Wolf Man dressed so well if he knew he was going to transform into a werewolf) and comedy in the modern age. ("The internet makes me feel sentimental for old-time lynch mobs," he quipped.)
Prompted by audience questions, Gottfried also talked about his ad-libbing on Aladdin (during which he would occasionally have to be stopped and reminded that it was family film), working with John Ritter on Problem Child (which no one thought was going to be a hit), Howard Stern, Hollywood Squares, Wife Swap, his Amazing Colossal Podcast, and more. Never one to miss an opportunity for an off-color joke, Gottfried responded to a comment about a failed TV pilot by stating, "Buddy Holly has better luck with pilots than I do." The session was recorded for the The Boston Comedy Podcast, so you'll be able to hear it in its entirety soon.
Later in the day, I caught another panel with Nicholas Brendon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Criminal Minds fame. With no need for a host, the animated and entertaining Brendon began by riffing on the likes of tuna casserole to cannibalism for a few minutes before launching into the entire story of how he was cast on Buffy (in which he went from production assistant on Dave's World to reluctant actor, then booked Buffy a mere two months later). He was open and honest about his past struggles, but he has turned over a new leaf and is now giving back by using his celebrity to raise awareness for mental health.
In addition to Gottfried and Brendon, the guest list included Chris Rankin (Harry Potter franchise), Gigi Edgley (Farscape), Ann Robinson (The War of the Worlds), Mark Goddard (Lost in Space), Clayton Prince (Hairspray), animation producer Jeff Kline (Transformers Prime), Emmy Award-winning puppeteer Bill Diamond (Little Shop of Horrors), author and Squirrel Girl co-creator Will Murray, Disney comics writer Joe Caramagna (Duck Tales, Frozen), cartoonist Guy Gilchrist (The Muppets), and paranormal investigator Kadrolsha Ona Carole, among others.
NorthEast Comic Con's standup battle royal proved to be a fun way to spend any down time. Local and budding comedians had the opportunity to sign up and perform seven minutes of material for a chance to win $100 a day and compete for the $500 weekend prize. The competition was judged entirely by audience applause, and Phil Anthony ultimately took home the grand prize. It was apparent that some of the competitors didn't have much stage experience, with bits that weren't fully realized or comedic timing that needed work, but the audience was receptive and ready to laugh.
Comedian Roger Kabler has been impersonating Robin Williams for many years, which earned him a finalist spot on the ABC celebrity impersonator reality competition The Next Best Thing in 2007. Following Williams' death, Kabler decided to utilize his talents and pay tribute to Williams with a film called Being Robin. A brief portion of the movie was shot at the convention, and attendees were allowed to participate as audience members as Kabler performed a portion of his Williams act. Not only does he have the voice and look down, but Kabler also nails Williams' idiosyncratic mannerisms. The film is currently seeking funding; I’m looking forward to seeing the final product after witnessing a small portion in the making.
An unexpected highlight of the previous NorthEast Comic Con was seeing Gwell-o, a Gwar-inspired metal band featuring members of the comedy rock act Green Jelly dressed as intergalactic monsters in homemade, cardboard and duct tape costumes. They performed as part of the Saturday night after party this time around, and I couldn't miss it. A new layout to the stage allowed all nine members of the band to fit up there. The lineup features four people who sing backups and perform combat theatrics during the show, while the other five musicians perform a mix of originals and covers, including Gwar's "I Hate Love Song" and "Sick of You," Green Jelly's "Three Little Pigs," Judas Priest’s “Night Crawler," and “I Need Mo’ Allowance” from the cartoon Doug.
Proudly hailing for Ipswich, Massachusetts, The Fools headlined the after party. At first glance, they seem like a rock act in the vein of The Rolling Stones or Van Halen. Upon a closer listen to vocalist Mike Girard's lyrics, however, it becomes apparent that they are satirizing the classic rock acts of yesteryear as much as they are paying tribute to them. That's not to say they don't take themselves seriously; the quintet makes their tight live show appear effortless.
Along with the celebrities, panels, standup comedy, and live concerts, NorthEast Comic Con offered cosplay contests, gaming, kids activities, and more, not to mention dozens of exhibitors and vendors. Many attendees came in costume, ranging from pop culture giants to comic book characters to original creations. For my money, two people dressed in large, elaborate Kang and Kodos costumes from The Simpsons were the most impressive.
A NorthEast Comic Con employee mentioned to me that this was the convention's biggest turnout at the Boxboro location yet. While it's wonderful to see the event grow with bustling crowds of enthusiastic fans, I revel in the fact that NorthEast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza remains an intimate experience in comparison to the massive pop culture expos, which can be overwhelming and impresonal. On top of that, the show continues to keep its prices low and value high.

Ace Comic Con Day 1 (pt. 3)
We got our stuff autographed and left to go to the main stage to go to Chris Evans’, Karen Gillan’s and Lee Pace’s panel. Some of the pre show banter was pretty funny.
It was still super surreal, I was so used to just watching it on youtube, I didn’t know whether to look at the irl or on screen lol.
The panel itself was pretty hilarious, when Lee was all like “Ronan is the most like me soo I didnt really prepare”, Chris fishing for cheers, and him being so done by the end and digging his own grave was hilarious. Karen saying Nebula was inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and Chris saying that thats what they told him too was great. Also Chris acknowledging his tweet about wrappinga Avengers 4 from days before was awesome. Also him dissing Trump very indirectly but still. The one dude calling Cap a bitch, I dont even know, I couldnt stop laughing, and Karen saying she listens to Led Zeppelin took me off guard.
One of my favorite conversations was
“What was the biggest moment in your life offscreen affected you the most?”
“My birth”
“His birth”
When they said they were going to start taking questions there was a mad dash to the front, where everyone lost all manner of human decency, people were shoving others to get into line. I was just glad that I wasn’t there, but realized I would be tomorrow for Lizzie and Tom’s panel.
Something that was hilarious to me during the panel is that someone airplayed this to everyone that had it on
One of the questions, if yall saw it was by a short black hyper girl, who said she suffered from a panic attack. I was kinda pissed tbh, because
Celeberaties are not your personal therapists
That question bothered me a lot, and obviously I had sympathy because I had one the night before, but she said she had one on tuesday, which was 4 days before the convention, and even later on she changed that date.
After the panel, I saw the same girl, multiple people were all like “good job” to her and she was eating it up. She seemed so smug and proud of herself. Maybe I totally misinterpreted what she meant by her tone of voice, but Fergi said she was off putting as well (I will come back to her on day two).
We went shopping after, Fergi got himself a $150 stormbreaker and that thing was heavy.
and here are some pictures of awesome cosplayers, and the last one is from a huge cosplay contest they had on the main stage. Cap with the jar was hilarious, and the walking infinity gauntlet attracted such a big crowd that they were kinda stuck in place for while.
The cosplay contest was the last thing we did, it was a lot of fun, people are so creative. There was Fallout 4 power armor, Peter and Gamora, Ronan (which was all homemade), a thousand Lokis. Rocket got first, it was a pretty good one too, Squirrel Girl second and my personal favorite Peggy, got third. She looked so much like Hayley Atwell its kinda ridiculous. We then packed up and left for home after a long day.

Domestic Ship Headcanons
Question source: http://gabetastic.tumblr.com/post/45754507464/collating-all-the-domestic-ship-memes-together
I’m doing this for SodomRolento first, but feel free to ask me about any other ships to answer these for! Obviously these are my own personal headcanons and tend to stray toward silliness, so take my answers with a grain (or box) of salt.
Who’s more dominant: Rolento, 1000000%. I'm fairly certain that “dominance” is one of his canon character traits, although I also like to imagine that he softens on that when he's really comfortable with someone he trusts, indulging in submissiveness.
Who’s the cuddler: Sodom. He just looks like he gives great hugs.
Who’s the big spoon/little spoon: I imagine that it varies. Rol probably likes the security of being the small spoon, but on the other hand, there's also something really sweet about the physically smaller one being the big spoon.
What’s their favorite non-sexual activity: Watching anime. Rol wasn't into it at first, but Sodom eventually got him hooked on some action-packed magical girl shows (Rol admires that the protags are so beautiful and strong).
Who uses all the hot water: Rolento sometimes... zones out while he's in the shower. Sodom doesn't mind being stuck with the cold water, though; he thinks it helps him hone his focus and warrior spirit. Of course, this all assumes that they aren't showering together...
Most trivial thing they fight over: "Why do you wear your armor in bed?" "Why do you wear your GRENADES in bed?!"
Who does most of the cleaning: Rolento is pretty filthy and rugged as a person, but he's also really into keeping things organized and efficient. Also, clutter stresses him out. He can't believe Sodom lives like this.
What has a season pass on their dvr/Who controls the netflix queue: Sodom has a Crunchyroll account for sure. But also any sort of service on which he can watch his favorite old samurai movies, assuming he doesn't already have them on VHS or DVD/Bluray.
Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Both of them seem like the type to try to fix things themselves, but if it came down to it, Rolento would make the (hopefully not too threatening) phone call.
Who leaves their stuff around: Sodom. In fact, this is pretty much canon. Have you SEEN his stage?
Who remembers to buy the milk: Rolento. He takes this mission very seriously.
Who remembers anniversaries: They're both pretty good about this, especially with something like "the anniversary of when we blew up the Shadaloo base and drove off into the sunrise together."
Who cooks normally: Sodom, 100%. His cooking is probably the only Japanese thing he's good at. Otherwise Rolento is out there hunting squirrels and eating uncooked instant ramen.
How often do they fight: All the time, if we're talking about combat training. As far as arguments, I don't know, all of the Madgears are odd birds, so I imagine that they're mostly used to each others' quirks at this point. Maybe the occasional outburst after a bad day, but nothing that can't be resolved!
What do they do when they’re away from each other: If Rol is out of town on a mission or something, Sodom texts him every day with lots of haikus and emojis to convey how much he misses him. Rol isn't really big on mobile communication, but he might have one of his soldiers discreetly check in to make sure that things are okay at home and Sodom's business.
Nicknames for each other: Sodom calls Rolento "Rol-chan" or "Show Gun." Rolento pretty much just uses "Blood Brother," but if he's feeling extra romantic, he might tell Sodom that he's his "handsome and competent samurai man."
Who is more likely to pay for dinner: Probably Sodom, being the one with a fierce sense of honor and a legitimate source of income.
Who steals the covers at night: Sodom. Rolento can tolerate a lot of discomfort, so he doesn't really mind, and of course this is always a good excuse to initiate spooning.
What would they get each other for gifts: Rolento gets Sodom authentic Japanese swords or other equipment, which may or may not have been stolen from a museum. Sodom gets Rolento really cute cell phone charms, which he pins to his uniform like it's a goddamn medal.
Who kissed who first: Rolento, and he was nervous as hell. It was one of the few times that Sodom has seen him flustered.
Who made the first move: Rolento, though he ended up having to make a lot more moves after that because Sodom was so oblivious.
Who remembers things: Rolento remembers a lot of things that he would have preferred not to, but I guess in the context of a relationship, Rol is pretty good at keeping up on things as long as they stick to a solid plan/routine. Sodom is more good when it comes to improvising.
Who started the relationship: Rolento initiated the friendship way back when Sodom first joined Madgear and Rolento thought that his whole "urban samurai" thing was just a street fighting persona. By the time he realized that that was actually literally Sodom's THING, they were already too smitten with each other to back out.
Who cusses more: ROLENTO FUCKIN' SCHUGERG. Although, Sodom can be heard screaming in broken Japanese obscenities whenever someone messes with his truck.
What would they do if the other one was hurt: If it's during a fight or something, Rolento would tell Sodom to tough it out, but then immediately take down the person who hurt him with sort of an overkill vengeance. If Rol was hurt or got into a dangerous situation over his head, Sodom would shield him with his body and try to intimidate the enemy away using his size and spectacular fighting moves. Rolento has the most first-aid skills of the two of them, but if it's a situation of emotional pain, Sodom is the most patient and comforting one. Rolento doesn't cry in front of anyone else.
Who is the dirty talker: ROLENTOOOOOOOOO
A head canon: Being that it's Halloween at the time of writing this, here's a domestic Halloween headcanon: All the neighborhood kids know that Sodom & Rolento's house is like... the best, because those guys give out fancy Japanese sweets, and sometimes Sodom gets really hype over the kids' cosplays. Rolento has seen enough real-life horrors that he can't get very festive for spooky Halloween fun, but he respects that at least the youths are going door-to-door for candy rather than getting into trouble... for the most part. He does, however, attend Halloween parties with his Madgear buddies every year. Sodom helped him make his vampire alt costume, though the exploding skulls, he did himself.

bruhl anon: i’ll even do Squirrel Girl. mcu cast me as her i would do so good. naurr but i would give him sloppy too 😔 in fact have given much thought about it. the grey sideburns just do unspeakable things to me. which this fun fact doesn’t help stop. in the comics he has orgies like regularly. he’s getting bitches. (insert megamind no bitches meme here minus the no) i share this with my friends every chance i get and they hate it. which reminds me I shared this with my friend immediately after she said she wanted to cosplay Stephen and I told her I wanted to too and then said wait we could cosplay him and his wife/ex wife. so she was like “dude why would you tell me this after that”
BRUHL ANON FOR SQUIRREL GIRL CAMPAIGN AT SDCC 2022!!! the panel they're gonna have is to announce s2 of moon knight and to introduce you as squirrel girl i have connected the dots. are you about to detail your hot romantic rendezvous in a fanfiction and where can i read it. COMIC DR. STRANGE ISN'T BITCHLESS?? he was a big fat sap for one woman yet the chad stephen in the comics was getting his shit slonked 5746535 times really makes you think. i think y'all should both cosplay as dr. strange because after reading this, i wouldn't put it past him that he would want to fuck himself

Yesterday I walked up to Erica Henderson’s table AS Squirrel Girl and shyly bought a Chipmunk Hunk sticker. That was actually all I bought yesterday. But no joke, I was more popular in my Squirrel Girl cosplay than I’ve ever been in my life. It looked Not Bad for a cosplay I finished today, and cutting my hair short in my bathroom minutes before leaving my house. Dozens of people got photos with me, and a tabler said they might tweet it at Ryan North so! um!!!
We also got to sit in on Weird Al’s panel. I really loved how the people that asked questions were so varied, from people his own age or older to elementary age kids. Someone would ask about songs he performed decades ago, then kids would ask him about Amish Paradise, Teen Titans or My Little Pony. He answered everyone with the same respect, though some of the audience might chuckle because a little girl asked, “How old are you?” (he told her 57, then asked her age. She was 7, and he noted “Cool, I’m just half a century older!”) A man dressed as him asked how he made his hair look so good, and he said that’s just how it came out of his head. One little boy just asked if he could have a hug, Al said sure, and he walked up onstage to hug him.
I mean, I’ve barely seen/heard a fraction of his work, but what I have seen is awesome and I loved hearing about the bits I know well, like how fun it was to shoot the “Tacky” video and that he flew from Hawaii on short notice to John Oliver’s show for that polka song to North Korea.
#personal#I think I'm a much bigger fan of him now#he's always funny and just all around Wholesome#I only went to one other panel but it let me know about a really cool comic franchise I'll probably post about later

Thanos
Avengers: Endgame
When it came time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to build towards the top villain threat at the end of the first Avengers movie, Thanos seems like the only choice. Marvel had three potential villains big enough for that role and since Dr. Doom and Galactus are Fantastic Four characters and were off-limits at the time, that left Thanos by default. And hey, it has worked out great so far as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were both more successful than anyone could have even hoped.
The Mad Titan has a great reputation as the be-all/end-all final boss of the Marvel Universe. He’s succeeded at obtaining great power and even total omnipotence all for messed up reasons like wanting to bone the Grim Reaper and wanting to slaughter all of his bastard children. He shrugs off hits from the Hulk, Silver Surfer, and even Black Bolt’s vocal cords. Thanos is serious business.
Sometimes, though, Thanos has his off days. Those head-scratching times when you remember how weird comics can be. Here are some fun examples. You can watch the video or read the article!
THE THANOSCOPTER
Spidey Super Stories is an artifact that will never stop being funny. A Spider-Man comic for young readers, it featured some of the most dumbed down dialogue and adventuring you’d ever see in a superhero story. This late-70s tale came at a time when Thanos had only been around for a few years. Like his mainstream counterparts, Thanos was indeed out to gain power from the Cosmic Cube.
Unlike his mainstream counterparts, he did it in part from a generic helicopter that had his name sprawled across it. Coming off as more of a Wet Bandit than the cosmic bringer of doom, Thanos chased after the Cat (who had yet to become Hellcat in Marvel lore, which is probably for the better here), who for whatever reason carried the Cosmic Cube.
read more: Where to Watch Every Marvel Movie
Somehow the Cube got in the hands of a skateboarding kid and Thanos snatched it from him. His defeat came when he attacked the Cat and Spider-Man with an earthquake, which made him drop the Cosmic Cube, leaving the skateboarder to get it and defeat Thanos with grass. Thanos was then arrested by the police.
The same issue had people losing their minds over Impossible Man being an alien, but Thanos? Some purple dork getting booked after fumbling omnipotence.
GAMORA’S CHRISTMAS
So we know the whole deal with Thanos and Gamora. She’s his adopted daughter and super-assassin who ultimately betrayed him. Jim Starlin and Ron Lim, the very creative team behind Infinity Gauntlet, did a short story for Marvel Holiday Special 1992. Their tale of Thanos was a good one, going into his attempt to give Gamora a pleasant upbringing to go with her assassin training. For some crazy reason, Thanos decided to celebrate Christmas with her.
read more - Complete Guide to Marvel and MCU Easter Eggs in Avengers: Endgame
Again, there’s some genuine heart in the tale of Gamora sacrificing her doll to save Thanos from a would-be assassin, but the whole “tossing in an Earth holiday” to make the story on-brand for the one-shot is just so strange.
Oh, and then they went and watched dolphins for a while. If it’s good for Lobo, I guess it’s good for Thanos.
DARKSEID ON THE PAYROLL
Secret Defenders was your usual superhero team-up book where the team-ups changed up by the story. One of the stories was actually a villain team-up where Thanos was the benefactor. His team ended up being made of Rhino, Titanium Man, Nitro, Super-Skrull, and Geatar and they went and fought alien robot monks or whatever.
Whenever you get a story like this with a bunch of random characters being selected to do a mission, one of the clichés you're likely to see is either a scattered pile of dossier pictures or a bunch of faces on monitors. Thanos went with the latter and had plenty of villains he was considering but didn’t choose. Guys like Juggernaut, Venom, Ultron, Annihilus...and Darkseid.
read more: Marvel Movies Watch Order - An MCU Timeline Guide
Yeah, for some reason he had Darkseid on one of his monitors, like he was a coin flip away from asking the ultimate evil of the DC Universe to run errands for him. Sure, Marvel and DC were on friendlier terms back then and all, but this was even before Marvel vs. DC where the two fought it out and later merged into becoming Thanoseid. Thanos simply had Darkseid on speed dial.
THE THANOSI
Sometimes when a certain writer is so in love with a certain character, they go a little wacky trying to explain their off days. For instance, John Byrne wasn’t happy that X-Men villain Arcade once lit a match on Dr. Doom, so he went out of his way to explain that it was a Doombot and not the real deal. Since Jim Starlin is Thanos’ creator and can’t go five hours without writing a story about how awesome he is, he’s just as guilty.
In the miniseries Infinity Abyss, it was revealed that there was an army of Thanos hybrid clones out there being jerks and trying to end the universe. They all came off as Thanos trying to cosplay as other Marvel heroes like Iron Man, Gladiator, and Dr. Strange. There was even a failed Thanos Wolverine clone mixed in there, who got to make the cover of one issue.
Read More: The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Story So Far
It was revealed that Thanos had been cloning himself for years because the real Thanos is no punk and if he ever seemed like a punk, it was because the real Thanos wasn’t there. Like the time Ka-Zar got the best of him. Or that time Thor beat him into purple paste. No way, Jose. Thanos has the alibi of being too cool for that shit!
The storyline came to a climax when Thanos and a handful of heroes had to fight the especially ridiculous Thanos-Galactus. Yeah, Galactus has DNA, apparently.
SQUIRREL GIRL BEATS UP THANOS! ...MAYBE!
Squirrel Girl made her debut taking out Dr. Doom by overwhelming him with an army of squirrels. That eventually led to a trend of Squirrel Girl being this paradox of a character in the Marvel Universe. She was Koko B. Ware, only she was somehow pinning Andre the Giant. Once she started a resurgence as a member of the Great Lakes Avengers/Great Lakes X-Men, she returned to inexplicably taking out villains well above her pay grade.
read more: Every Version of the Infinity Gauntlet Story
In the pages of the GLX-Mas Special, after making short work of MODOK, Squirrel Girl was confronted with Thanos as a mid-issue cliffhanger. Many pages later, we got to see Squirrel Girl standing victorious over the Mad Titan while Uatu the Watcher looked on to verify that yes, indeed, this was the real deal Thanos and not some kind of lame copy or whatever.
Then Dan Slott, the guy who wrote that very scene, retconned it shortly after in the pages of She-Hulk where he outright claimed it to be a clone that would fool even the likes of cosmic beings. Why? Regardless, in Squirrel Girl’s solo series years later, she and Galactus shared a laugh over the fact that she totally handed the real, actual Thanos his ass, no backsies.
CUBE TO THE BALLS
Back in Annihilation, Thanos had the most metal death ever when Drax impaled him with his fist from behind and showed Thanos his own heart. It fucking rocked. Then in the original ongoing for the modern-day Guardians of the Galaxy, the series ended with Thanos’ resurrection. He was mindless and overly strong, much like the Hulk, except he was also totally naked because not wearing pants is how resurrection works most of the time.
read more - Avengers: Endgame Ending Explained
When Star-Lord decided to wrap things up, he did it by getting his attention with a cracked, yet shiny, Cosmic Cube. Thanos slowly advanced with a flicker of recognition in his eyes. Star-Lord let loose with a blast capable of knocking out Thanos and that’s all well and good, but...
Um, okay, so you know how mainstream comics can’t show naughty bits and always have to find ways to obscure nudity? Well, I don’t know how intentional it is, but Star-Lord took out Thanos with a Cosmic Cube blast to the dick.
Not cool, Quill. He needs that for...hm. Actually, I don’t think Death has genitals either. Never mind!
EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HERO
In the pages of Avengers World, mutant heroes Cannonball and Sunspot were sent on a mission to go into the future and meet up with the offspring Avengers from that crappy animated film that nobody remembers anymore because Marvel decided to start making good movies afterwards. It’s been about 20-25 years since Cannonball and Sunspot’s time and the world had become a very different place. As they traveled through Danvers City, it became apparent that Earth had become a more popular spot for aliens to hang out.
read more - Avengers: Endgame - Who is Ronin?
The two took a stop at a bar and tried to fit in by discussing how tough they were. They namedropped Thanos as one of their big enemies and that in turn started a bar fight. Somehow, Thanos had gone on to become the greatest Avenger to ever live. Apparently you can come back from wiping out half of the universe.
As Cannonball put it, “That is a face-turn I did not see coming.”
SANTA THANOS
Man, what is it with Thanos and Christmas?!
Marvel’s YouTube series What The--?! featured a holiday episode back in 2014 where Thanos had a master plan to steal all the Terrigen Crystals from the Inhumans. Unfortunately, their security was a bit too scary so he had a backup plan: become Santa Claus. After all, breaking into houses is one of Santa’s superpowers!
read more - The MCU Characters Who Aren't in Avengers: Endgame
Thanos beat up Santa and stole his costume. He then got stuck having to listen to superheroes tell him what they wanted for Christmas before he had a chance to sneak off. Having to put up with Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Thor, and Captain America was bad enough, but then Hulk showed up and the whole plan went to Hell while Thanos' skull went into the floor.
PATTON OSWALT’S STAR WARS EPISODE VII
This one isn’t an official Marvel thing, but it’s mainstream enough for me to include.
The TV show Parks and Recreations had a long running gag about how backwards and prejudiced the town’s original traditions were. Main character Leslie Knope wanted to make some changes and citizen Garth Blundin (Patton Oswalt) was completely against it. In a funny scene, he did a very nerdy filibuster about how he wanted Star Wars Episode VII to work out.
read more - What is the Sound in the Avengers: Endgame Credits?
Luckily, an eight-minute version hit YouTube shortly after its airing and it was a doozy. While Garth’s ideas for Star Wars itself were a little creative, like Leia leaving Han for Lando and Chewbacca being turned into a cyborg spider, it went into overdrive when he namedropped Thanos. Due to the Infinity Stones, Thanos would not only turn the movie into Star Wars vs. Avengers, but he’d also bring the X-Men in. He had control over time and space and could do that.
One great touch was that when he first mentioned Thanos, someone yelled, “Oh, come on!” That voice could have possibly belonged to Chris Pratt, who was only months away from filming Guardians of the Galaxy.
THE LOSS TO ARSENAL
Thanos has appeared on multiple animated series. He antagonized the Silver Surfer while lusting for “Lady Chaos.” He opposed the Guardians of the Galaxy while donning the Carnage symbiote. In Super Hero Squad, he even got full control of the Infinity Gauntlet, only to lose to another overpowered maguffin.
And you know what? At least there was honor in that loss. Getting beat by the Infinity Sword is way better than what happened on the Avengers Assemble cartoon. For half a season, Thanos gathered the six Infinity Stones and when he completed the collection, he made short work of the Avengers.

Then Iron Man revealed his rebuilt robot bodyguard Arsenal. Arsenal’s main ability was absorbing energy, so when Thanos blasted lasers at him, the robot took it head-on and advanced. Thanos had power over time, space, reality, and so on. There were so many ways to destroy that robot, including wishing it to not exist anymore.
So what did Thanos do in this situation? He shot MORE lasers! And it ended with him getting the Gauntlet pulled off. Thanos got beat up and then Arsenal transformed into Ultron and why did they cancel Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for this again?
THE SATSUI NO HADO GAUNTLET
The story for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is bananas. In it, Marvel and Capcom each have their own universe, which means that Final Fight, Street Fighter, Strider, Monster Hunter, Mega Man X, Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins, and Resident Evil all happened in the same era. Looking into that further means that Dr. Wily is a long-dead historical figure who presumably died before Zangief was born.
Anyway, the worlds got merged together by a hybrid of Ultron and Sigma, all because Death wanted to sneak off and get it on with Jedah from Darkstalkers. Long story. Throughout the game, Thanos was treated as a wild card forced onto the side of good. With the story revolving around the Infinity Stones, he was obviously going to make a go for them. That’s his thing.

Instead, Thanos became aware of Death’s activities and chose to focus on the violent darkness living inside Ryu. Thanos created a new gauntlet that absorbed all of Ryu’s killing intent, and then walked off to do his own thing.
After the credits, Thanos returned to threaten Death, as Ryu’s Satsui No Hado powers were capable of hurting her. To prove it, the game ended with Thanos performing a Hadoken.
Hopefully they’re saving that move for Avengers 4.

As someone that doesn't watch supernatural how should you describe everyone?!
Okay I’ll describe the ones I write for because there are SO MANY CHARACTERS THAT I DON’T WRITE FOR THAT OTHER PEOPLE DO. My opinions on characters may differ from other people.
Dean: Cocky, sarcastic, he would die for anyone he loves. He will do what it takes to save someone he loves. Oh, kill some other person? Bye! Not a kid though, he’d find another way. He is reckless, a risk-taker. He’s not so great on boundaries when he talks. So he’ll apologize if he realizes that he’s said something too offensive or too blunt. Boy loves pie. Squirrel irl
Sam: He is strong okay? Like not just muscle strong, but emotionally strong and has a strong will too. He is more of a lover than a fighter. He’s also more of a negotiator it seems (between Dean and Sam that is). Sam’s been through hell, so he’s SYMPATHETIC AS HELL. He’ll open up much easier than Dean will. Likes to eat leaves. Moose irl.
Castiel: Castiel can be a bit confused at times. He’s been on Earth a long time now, but there are some things he may not understand. He’s more of a “I’ll smite you if you hurt my friends”. He’s a soldier so we have to remember that. Castiel has a big heart
Gabriel: MY SWEET BABE-RIEL. He’s so goofy and funny. Loves to joke around and have fun. Hello prank wars called, they want their archangel back. He’s so sweet and protective and loving. UGH I LOVE HIM.
Lucifer: Short tempered. Sarcastic. He can be demeaning AS FUCK when he wants to be. He can go from flirtatious to intimidating in seconds. He uses lots of body language too. Can be sweet, but he’s certainly not the lovey dovey type (even though I bend that rule like a fucking rubber ruler. Sue me.) He wants someone to accept him and understand him. IF you can do that, he’ll love the fuck out of you.
Crowley: PROPER AF. Witty, sarcastic, flirty. Sexual innuendos FOR DAYS. Short tempered. He often stands up straight with his hands in his pockets. He likes to insult people, even if he loves you. It’s like his way of showing you that he loves you.
Charlie: Very… !!!!! Nerdy. Energetic. She can be nervous or blunt depending on the situation. She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind, especially if it’s a girl. Graphic-tees, Cosplay, you know it! Many, MANY, comic references and other movies like Harry Potter or Doctor Who (I’m pretty sure that girl would watch Doctor Who and love it)
Prophet!chuck: Nervous. Unsure of himself. Soft spoken. Sweet sweet cinnamon roll. Smiles and blushes a lot. Probably stammers a bit when he talks. Very vulnerable when emotional.
God!Chuck: More confident. More sure of himself. A little more cocky. An occasional smirk, but smiles more often. (I’M SO RUSTY WITH CHUCK)
Samandriel: He’s not around for long (rip my heart). He’s innocent as hell. Very mission oriented. Speaks more like an angel than a human. No “I’m”‘ it’s “I am”. Very inexperienced when it comes to human interaction. (*everything I based Samandriel on, was advice given to me by a close friend)
EDIT : TOTALLY DIDN’T FORGET ANYONE.
Balthazar: F A N C Y. Wine drinker. Huge slut. “Minage a- what is the french word for twelve?” (it’s douze okay??!) Flirts all the time. Does not like humans, but LOVES THE WOMEN. So I guess it’s just the dudes. Loyal AS FUCK. Trustworthy. Funny (to me anyway). Arrogant. He’s the wildcard okay???

Cosplay Plans
Post more for my reference than anything else, but here goes!
I’m been sewing and cosplaying since 2014, and my love for the hobby is still going strong (unlike others, like practicing guitar). Here are a list of some of my planned costumes, and a roster of my past ones. I usually cosplay characters from series that I love and who I find compelling--but it’s always a bit hard finding a character design that you just love, too!
1. Squirrel Girl from SQUIRREL GIRL!!
Gurihiru variant cover for the third issue
I love her so much!! I’ve never done a Marvel series cosplay, and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is my favorite--so if I would probably debut this costume at a comic con. The tone and message of the series really warm my crusty, desiccated heart. Empathy and humor winning the day is totally the message I need this year!
2. Argilla from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga
I don’t have time to play as many games as I did, but I’ve played every Shin Megami Tensei game on PS2 and I’m a sucker for the games’ stories, art direction, and music. Needless to say, I’m cho pumped for Persona 5! While the series’ usually have pretty strong characters, I don’t think anyone else resonated with me as much as Argilla did from DDS1. The first game is so bleak and nihilistic as the gangs fight each other to gain a chance at escaping their awful world to something better, but Argilla is definitely the character who tries so hard to hold onto her humanity amidst all of that. Also, she has a girlfriend in a thong and a star tattoo on her butt cheek. I mean, c’mon.
3. Terra from Final Fantasy VI
FF6 is my favorite FF and that is all I will say about that. Best music, cast, and writing omg. *-* RIP candy corn Cid.
4. Armatized Rose from Tales of Zestiria
I’ve loved Tales games ever since Symphonia all the way back on Gamecube. Even though the writing and plots are frequently silly, I consistently find Tales games fun--and isn’t that what gaming is all about? Each game’s characters are a delight, but Rose from Zestiria really stands out to me as a pretty complicated and morally gray character. She reminds me a lot of Yuri from Vesperia, but cuter!! I think Zestiria has the most fun with RPG tropes, and I love how Rose and her princess girlfriend basically subvert the whole idea of paring the main guy with them. Besides, he ain’t even interested! It’s refreshing not to have to deal with tired romance hijinks sometimes.
Also, I would love to have an excuse to work with bridal satin holy moly.
5. Yorha 2B from Nier Automata
I actually bought the wig for this character and had been planning the cosplay for over a year, but got distracted by Chessverse Hungary and Imp Mercy. However, now that the game is about to be released, I should probably get back to work on this! I have all the base fabrics: black shantung, black and white stretch leather--I just need more motivation and time. I thought the first Nier was such a touching, emotional game after the mind boggling merciless fantasy messes that were Drakengard 1 and 2 (although I liked Drakengard 2 a lot more than 1). I’m hoping Automata keeps the same tone as the first Nier! I’m actually pretty worried that I won’t like her character or the game, which over serves to further my feet dragging.

Bo assisting with a yard sale. You can tell just by looking at his eyes how engaged and aware he is.
Let me tell you about this non-human member of my family.
He mostly took after his father – slight, aggressive, very intelligent and duck toed – even though he was supposed to be momma’s boy.
Karen and I were both cat people; I’d lived with cats since the age of ten and Karen, well Karen apparently kidnapped kitties when she was a young girl, so desperate was she to have one of her own. When we put our families together, I’d recently lost two (Hamlet and Vicky) and she brought Stimpy, a Maine Coon born to a feral mom, with her.
She also brought a bit of a fear of dogs with her, so I was a bit surprised when one day she told me that she was hankering after yorkies – Yorkshire Terriers.
At the time I was more enamored of larger dogs “ones you can wrestle with” as I put it, but I had no general objection to any kind of dog, other than preferring to adopt one rather than purchase one from a breeder. (All of my previous non-human companions had been adoptees.)
So I responded that it was ok with me if we got one, so long as it didn’t cost too much.
Karen went on a hunt. Offerings were plentiful, all starting at around a thousand bucks and going astronomical from there.
We queried shelters and rescue organizations and not a one we could accomodate could be found.
Then, one day, Karen found an offering from a breeder across the state from us: a male Yorkie for only $400.00. We called and arranged for a visit.
It was nearly a four hour car ride and the entire time I kept on telling Karen not to fall in love with the first puppy she saw; there might be good reason why this dog was going so cheap, we very well might be disappointed, yada yada yada. All to no avail of course. How can anyone not fall in love with the first puppy they see?
Bo – or Burt as he was known then – was penned with a “snaggly-toothed, snuffly Shitzu” (Karen. “Ugh. I can’t stand them!”) when we arrived. The Shitzu backed off, Burt came bouncing up, practically shouting “I knew they’d come!” and of course it was love at first sight. While Karen cooed, I spoke with the breeder.
I got a somewhat confused story but the gist of it is this: first, she claimed that she bred show dogs and ‘Burt’ was a non-showable male, owing to his being duck toed and with dew claws way higher on his forepaws than was acceptable.
He also had a lip deformity, but these were all superficial. Otherwise he was a perfectly healthy, happy little ‘yorkie’.
Later during our visit we were informed that Bo had originally been gifted to the breeder’s son, but then had chewed through an extension cord and the son had returned him. He was the last of the litter to go.
Even later, and after discovering that Bo’s papers identified him as a Silky Terrier, not a yorkie (some breeder, huh?) we put things together more logically; ‘Burt’, not being breeder or show quality, had been gifted to the son. The son was not a great dog person and “some things” happened we don’t know the details of, but they induced a dreaded fear of bare feet in Bo and an electrically burned lip (which healed completely over time btw); Bo’s show training had also started very, very early, such that we had to teach him that he could eat or drink whenever he wanted to, even if people weren’t around (and he knew how to heel without our having trained that).
We brought him home. So much for not falling in love with the first puppy you see.
No, he did not get along with Stimpy (though they did sometimes play “lets see who can bite whom first”) and so we had to divide the household up into two living areas, with Stimpy’s privileges including the master bedroom. (To this day I still get a twinge of guilt when I think of Bo’s first night, going to bed alone.)
Despite best intentions, Bo became ‘my’ buddy. (Mostly because I did most of the feeding and walking.)
We named him Bo (“Burt. Yuck. What an ugly name! How can anyone name a dog ‘Burt’?), though we’d been leaning a bit towards ‘Bondie’. (Bondie, the Bondage Dog. We’d put girl clothes on him and when people remarked, we’d explain “no, he’s a guy, he’s just crossdressing today” or some such. Always fun to shock the neighbors.) We did (yes) get a stroller for him and (yes) were once asked if someone could “see the baby”, which we happily complied with, never mentioning his non-human nature.
As mentioned, I was a cat person, not a dog person, and I despaired somewhat over my lack of knowledge of dog language (after decades of living with cats, if you pay attention, you learn that they are communicating all the time, just not with words). No need to worry, Bo picked up the slack. He was truly amazing in his desire to learn.
My philosophy with “animals” is that they are capable of understanding a lot more than we give them credit for (research is proving this again and again on a nearly daily basis) and so, with my cats, it was always a first goal to help them understand that communication was sought after, encouraged and would be rewarded. I applied the same concept to working with Bo. One of the first things he learned was “show me”.
Bo used his body. He developed specific stances and specific locations, along with a variety of sounds. One such was to come running up to you, circle once, face you straight on and chuff. We quickly learned that this meant “I’m trying to tell you something and you are too stupid to figure it out.” So we’d guess, and here’s the cool thing: we’d know if the guess was right or wrong by what Bo did. We’d offer (something like “do you need to go out”?) and if we were wrong, he’d look at whatever it was, but not move, then look back at us. “Nope, that’s not it.”
Finally, if we were unable to come up with an answer, we’d say “show me”, and off Bo would go. He’d walk right to the immediate vicinity of whatever it was (oh, I left food in the microwave – Bo standing, facing the microwave on the counter, or oh, your toy is way under the jelly cabinet – Bo standing facing the cabinet, then looking up at us, then back down at the floor).
Once he learned that attempts at communicating would be rewarded, he never stopped.
We didn’t want him to be afraid of thunder (living in Florida at the time, that would have been miserable for him and for us) so, as a puppy, whenever a storm rolled in, we’d gather with toys in our living room. Whenever a a flash of lightning lit things up, we’d clap our hands and say “Yay, thunder is coming! woo hoo! THUNDARRRRRR! Yay!” and we’d offer toys to Bo to play with. Thunder never bothered him, and the same was extended to fireworks. On his first fourth of July a boom went off. He startled, and then looked at me and I said “It’s THUNDARRRRR! yay!” and he said “Oh. ok.” and ignored it entirely.
We also taught him “no bark”. He was never a “yippy” guy, but he did have a piercing bark (which he modified, all on his own, to indicate certain thing, everything from “squirrel” to “Hey! there’s no one around and I need some help!”). Instead of just not barking when told “no bark”, he’d stifle; he had to bark but couldn’t, so he’d make these odd, strangled sounds deep in his throat.
One of the funniest things he used to do would be to sit between Karen and I while we were having a conversation, which he seemed to follow. I’d say something with him watching me and, often before the end of my sentence, he’d turn to look to Karen to see what her response was, then back to me. Visitors would often remark “It’s like he understands what we’re saying” and we’d nod and agree because we KNEW he understood what we were saying.
We attributed his high order of intelligence to that electrical shock he got as a puppy. We figure it boosted his synaptic connections or some such (that’s only half a joke). He could do things that other dogs have been known to do, but things that were not that common. One such was being able to put a sentence together. His vocabularly of human words numbered in the hundreds. You could say something like “Bo, go in the bedroom and get your ferret”, and he would.
He also knew left and right and straight (mostly for walks) and could follow multiple steps of instruction: we’d go walking in the woods and sometimes, owing to his size, the path I was taking would have obstacles for him. He’d stop and I would point out an alternate route for him: “Go here, then here, then go here. OK” and off he’d go, following the route I’d pointed out.
He loved to “river walk”; his second nature was mountain goat, so sure-footed on the wet rocks it astonished me.
One of the funnest things was watching him come to some new understanding of something: like learning that banging his food bowl on the floor would get him “second dinner”, or that the fan he liked to sit in front of needed to have a switch button pushed in order to turn on. (I’ll never forget the look on his face when he put two and two together. “OH! You have to push one of those things first!”)
He liked to watch TV – and he hated Klingons. Whenever he’d hear a Klingon speaking Klingon, he’d run to the screen and start barking at it. I think he’d have been as effective a Klingon detector as a tribble. Oddly, he liked watching baseball more than football or hockey.
Bo was also up for just about anything. He assisted Karen and I at paintball tradeshows (he had his own cammo vest and his own Tip jar, which sometimes earned more than we did) and assisted with Amazing Stories, appearing on the front cover of the Concord Monitor’s Sunday section (you can see him cosplaying as Robot from Fireball XL5 in my staff page image).
One of his most endearing (and frustrating) traits was: he knew how things were supposed to go and protested when they weren’t done “right”. I had occasion to have my neighbor take care of him for a few days (they watched Red Sox games together in my living room) and I left a couple of pages of instructions, particularly about food prep. So much food, chopped up like so, then microwaved for 15 seconds.
The neighbor did not believe all of the instructions were necessary. Food in bowl, chop chop, bowl on floor. The neighbor told me that Bo looked at the bowl, turned his head aside and then walked to the counter, facing the microwave, looking from him, to the bowl, then back to the microwave.
Bo was a great guy. A “good egg” as I often told him. He helped me through Karen’s death, supervised my working on the website and was always a joy to come home to whenever I had been away. He was exceptional and he will be exceptionally missed.
***
I still have some on-going expenses for Bo’s treatment and have a GoFundMe campaign to help defray them. You can find it here.
Below, a video of Bo playing with a Tribble and a few additional pictures.

This week’s Geek of the Week is a mom blogger, LEGO fanatic and former child TV star (scroll down for the evidence) that’s about to welcome a new little girly geek any day now. Check out her blog for coverage of all the geeky stuff you were probably expecting to find here at Geek Mamas and then discovered it’s really just me complaining about potty training and tantrums with an occasional Star Wars reference.
1) Let’s start with the basics – name, what do you do, etc.
I’m Christy Marie aka Geek Mom. I’m a mother and a blogger, cosplayer, a huge AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) and a photographer. My website is www.GeekMomLife.com and I’m @GeekMomLife on Instagram, Twitter, FB & Pinterest. I blog local San Francisco Bay Area events and about geeky products and fandoms.
2) What do you geek out on?
I have so many fandoms! The Walking Dead has been a huge one for me since the comics and I love the show too. Negan and Daryl are my dudes and I am a huge zombie fan. I have even cosplayed as female version of both of them. When I am Negan people ask me to kill them all day at Cons, its great!
I also love Star Wars, Willow, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters (yes the female version too!), Star Trek, Alien, The Dark Crystal, Firefly, Labyrinth, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Legend, How to Train Your Dragon, Nightmare Before Christmas and Jurassic Park. I would really like to cosplay a character from all my favorite fandoms. My fiancé Danny and I only got into cosplay in the last 5 years or so. Also, I have to order most of it because sadly I can’t sew. My favorite cosplays are turning male characters into female, it’s so much fun to just let go and be someone else for a day especially when they have super powers or cool weapons right?
We are also constantly at Lego conventions. Danny and I have, well let’s just say, a few too many Lego sets.
3) Marvel or DC? and Why?
I love strong female heroes and villains so there are two totally different reasons I like each. DC has the better female villains like Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Cat Woman, who I adore. But Marvel has the better female heroes like Rogue (my all time favorite), Jessica Jones, The Wasp, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Domino, man I could go on all day. Plus my first ever cosplay was Scarlet Witch and Danny was Nick Fury, so if I had to choose one I would definitely choose Marvel.
4) Star Wars or Star Trek? and Why?
Star Wars over Star Trek for me. I have such a love and admiration for General Leia, she is the biggest reason this fandom wins out. I have a big Leia collection of toys, comics and memorabilia. She never put her hand on her head and fainted, or yelled save me, or anything like that she took charge and kicked butt. When I was little I looked up to her and wanted to be her. She has always been my favorite movie character, with Ripley from Alien as a close second. The geek industry has such a shortage of bad ass moms like Leia and Ripley. And newer Star Wars characters like Rey and Jyn Erso have made me fall in love with the fandom all over again. Plus the world of Star Wars always seemed more real to me, all the characters and especially the Jedi, I have always wanted to be a Jedi.
5) Were you a geeky kid or did you come into it later in life?
I was a hugely geeky kid, got bullied by girls for wearing Star Wars shirts and talking about things like Willow (my favorite movie as a kid) not that any of it has stopped me in 35 years. It was hard to find a place to fit in, all the girls at school watched Boy meets World and Saved by the Bell, I was watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Ninja Turtles, the animated X-men series and Sea Quest. I found out that I fit in better with the boys and can even remember playing Ninja Turtles with my guy buddies on the playground in elementary school. I was always April keeping the boys out of trouble. I also loved Nickelodeon and was even a contestant on Legends of the Hidden Temple, remember that show? Though I didn’t get past the first round, it was a lot harder than it looked!
6) Are your kids into the geek stuff too?
My son is a huge geek, and he has grown up proud to talk about his fandoms and has never been bullied for it. Crazy how that has changed over the years. He goes to conventions with us, loves to dress up and can talk fan theory just like adults.
I’m pretty proud of how much of a confident geek he is, because for me that means I raised him right. We also have a baby girl due at the end of the month and we will be bringing her up on all the best fandoms and she can family cosplay with us too!
7) Are you working on anything right now you’d like to share?
Sadly I can’t fit in any of my cosplays right now so I can’t work on those, though I did just wear a shirt to a Con over the weekend that got some serious attention. Its had a Death Star on it and said ‘That’s No Moon!’.
The project I am currently finishing though is putting the final touches on our baby girl’s nursery before I post it in my latest blog. It is all Star Wars themed! I actually had quite a hard time finding things not only for a baby that was Star Wars themed, but especially stuff showing female characters. It took me pretty much the whole pregnancy to put it together and I’m very proud of it.
I can’t wait to show her all of our fandoms and get her excited about their characters and stories. Being able to enjoy my fandoms with my family will always be my favorite thing!
Big thanks to Christy Marie for answering my questions and congrats on her impending arrival! I am LOVING that Star Wars nursery. I really wanted to do that wall decal but it would have to say “I am a Jedi, Like my Mother before me.” Dad is more G.I. Joe than Jedi around here.
And if you are a Geek Mama interested in being featured, send me an e-mail!

OKAY. so today was pretty awesome. Jess woke me up at 9:45 and I told her to let me go back to bed until ten 😂 so I did and then I got up. got ready for day 2 of NYCC, with our Marvel Rising cosplays so I was suiting up to be squirrel girl lol which was a great success I must say. While I was doing my make up we were looking for tickets to see a show tonight and decided on Waitress, so we procured tickets to that for tonight. I wanted bagels but there wasn’t anywhere too close so we just ubered to the con center. While in our uber I had to blow up the inflatable squirrel tail I got off amazon that was kind of a struggle but I managed. we got there and had to eat still, so we ended up splitting a pretzel, and then going and checking out the good place exhibit which was basically a giant fork you could take pictures with so we did that, and then we went to the people’s choice awards set up because they were giving away donuts if you voted for the best sci-fi show (#WynonnaEarpFTW) so we got donuts of course and ate those. then we went to the show floor and walked around a bit and ended up at this like fandom food truck thing where if you woke up really early to get there and grab a ticket you could get like one of their fandom related food items for free. but of course we had not gotten there very early to get such a ticket, so we were sad. but fear not, they were also having a trivia contest where the winner would get a ticket to the food truck, and the 1-2 pm one was Arrowverse! huzzah!! And of course I’m like oh I’m gonna win this, just watch. And like, I expected it to be like there is one winner thing and such and I’m still gonna win, but as we were signing up we were informed it was like a one on one thing and the winner of each round got a ticket. and as we were doing so the girl was like “oh you guys will probably go together” at which point Jess decided that she instead wanted to go up against this guy behind us in line that we’d been talking shit to (because she didn’t want to go up against me 😂) so we swapped places so they could go against each other. so we waited a while and then at one it started, the first two competitors go up and we’re like alright, let’s see what these questions were like. and guys. they were so fucking easy. they at least got somewhat progressively harder, but the first round questions were like embarrassingly easy (like “what island was Oliver Queen stranded on?”) and like neither of the two of them would actually get any of them right, even when they had the chance to “steal” it from the other person. It was best out of 9, or first person to 5 wins. so the first one ended with like a 3-2 score. and then it was Jess and this guy, and the questions got somewhat harder (like “who killed Patty Spivot’s father?” and “what prison did Oliver Queen say nobody could break him out of?” which I was like ????? who knows that fucking answer it was like the slab?? smh) and they both just failed lol mostly because there were a lot of flash questions and Jess doesn’t really pay attention to flash, but she still managed to win like 3-1. okay, then it’s my turn. so they say my name and I go up to the platform ready to crush it, then they call the name of the person I’m going up against and it’s like, a kid. like a 12 year old. and I’m like....,ohmygod, I’m going to wipe the floor with him and I’m going to feel SO BAD about it but not bad enough to not do it because I like winning 😂 so before we started the guy hosting was like “so on a scale of 1-10, how much do you know about the Arrowverse” and I just decided I was gonna be a cocky bastard and say “11″ and then have it show when I kicked ass lol. okay, first question, who was the leader of the justice society of america? I hesitated for a moment because I couldn’t remember his superhero name, but then I just said ah fuck it and buzzed in and said Rex Tyler, which was of course right. Then there was “What year is Zari from?” to which I of course answered correctly 2042.There was more after that that I don’t exactly remember but I got right, and at this point I'm oh man I feel SO BAD right now lol so then the guy asked what supervillain was Winn’s father and I’m just like, hesitating and looking at the kid and trying to give him a chance to buzz in, but he just wasn’t gonna do it so I buzzed in and said Toyman, which of course was right, and then the last one was what did little Ray name the baby dominator that he found, and I was like welp guess I’m doing this so I buzzed in and said Gumball, effectively winning the round 5-0, and I’m just like oh man I feel so bad right now 😂😂😂 I like apologized to the kid once we got offstage but he didn’t care so that made me feel a little better lol. so I got my free tote bag and ticket for the food truck, then sat and watched for a bit before taking off to my Adam Savage signing, which was a random one I won from the lottery and I was like hey why not, I can always sell it or something, and that was at 2 but they wanted you to line up early, so I went down to the room that was in and got lined up in the room, then at 2 he came out and the line went pretty quickly. If you’re thinking like who tf is Adam Savage I probably would not have recognized his name out of context lol but he’s one of the guys from Mythbusters and I mean that’s pretty cool so why not? I got up to him and I was like hey I’m Rachel, nice to meet you, and proceeded to tell him that whenever I have to go out in the rain I think about their episode where they tested if you get less wet walking or running in the rain and since walking won I’m always like “I want to run, but I’ll get less wet if I walked!!” and he laughed and said he gets that one a lot, then asked me if I was having a good con and was just overall really nice, it was a really pleasant interaction so that made me happy. I returned to where Jess was (she stayed in the same spot and watched the rest of the trivia) then we went over to the food truck to redeem our prizes since we both won, and got to choose from a few options. Jess got like a pineapple drink thing that had little bubbles of juice in it that were like bubble tea ones they just burst full of juice, so I think she had somewhat mixed feelings on that lol. I got a cookie that came with a little thing of frosting to dip it in that was like the legends of zelda sword thing and it was really good! so we ate our things and then walked over to this booth of like a stuffed animal place that had a giant pool filled with plushie toys, more specifically plushies that were cats inside bananas, and people were getting to go in and like fall on them so we were like of course we have to do this, so that was fun, and then they gave us a $5 discount for one of the plushies (not one of the ones from the pool that everyone’s feet have been all over, because I asked 😂) and they have an offsite exhibit like two blocks away with all sorts of cool free stuff so we may check that out tomorrow. After that we went around the artist’s alley briefly before meeting up with one of Jess’ mutuals by the funko booth, so that was fun. then we headed over to another booth where we met up with our third batwoman podcast host again and spent a while just going around with the show floor with her and looking at things. We ended up heading out around 4:45 to make sure we had enough time to eat and see the show. We were gonna take the same subway we took up to times square yesterday but today the station was closed off, and we were directed to take a free bus shuttle they were having instead, so we did that. I had looked at getting reservations but nothing was really working, so I was just gonna see what was going on places. Sadly it seems John’s Pizzeria has blown up, because the last two times I’ve been there the line’s been out the door and around the corner, which makes me sad because I love that place and they don’t take reservations (and I don’t do lines like that) so I don’t get to go now. We checked Carmine’s too but they were reservations only (I tried to get one there but there weren’t any free) which landed us to our default place of Juniors, which I’ve ended up in so many times because we couldn’t get in anywhere else and were tired of trying lol. there was a bit of a wait, longer than normal because they’re generally super fast, but still not bad. I wanted to be able to actually get dessert and not filled up on food because their desserts are supposed to be very good (they are famous for their cheesecake after all) so I only ate half of my sandwich and then got a strawberry sundae that was very good. by the time we finished it was like 7:20 so we headed over to the theatre, picked up our tickets from the todaytix courier, and got in line to see Waitress! I’ve heard a ton of good things about it over the past few years but just haven’t gotten around to seeing it, so I was excited. Overall I really liked it! I had in my head that the time frame was different than it ended up being (spoilers ahead, obviously), because when it was first opening I watched them do the opening number on a today show or something and at the end they have the little girl run up to her mom, so I thought that she was already born by the time they show starts, but apparently that was not the case. so it was a bit different than expected, but it managed to be heartwarming, hilarious, and gripping all at once, which is honestly quite the accomplishment. the music was beautiful (which was honestly a comparison to last night because as I was leaving all I could think was how I couldn’t remember a single song from King Kong but now I had like 6 songs fighting to play in my head) and the story was very well done. I did like the plot a lot of course, even though there were very hard moments, I thought they did an excellent job of blending it all together (in a pie) to make a lovely show, so they get props for that. We had also made plans to meet my parents and sister for dinner tomorrow night, but then we discovered that some shows were moving their Wednesday night show to Sunday night instead (the generally schedule is matinee and evening on Wednesday, same on Saturday and then just matinee on Sunday) so we could possibly get around to seeing a show tomorrow and Jess has really wanted to see Anastasia since we were here in July and didn’t quite get to do so, so once I got the okay from my parents about meeting up a little earlier I got the Anastasia tickets, so I’m quite excited for that. And yeah, from there we ubered back to where we are staying and basically started getting ready for bed right away because we’re pretty wiped and I’m very wiped just typing this, so I’m gonna take that as a sign that this would be a good place to end it. Goodnight series. Hope you had a banging Saturday.
