Tonight, you and Shiver were checking the mail, seeing which events you were invited to and which ones you actually wanted to go to (as famous celebrities do).

"Anything interesting on your end?" Shiver asked, leaning on your shoulder and looking over it. You held up an invitation to a convention that its creators would like you to attend. It was in super fancy, almost unintelligible writing, but you were able to get a gist of it all. "It says (F/N) ploose-oh-ney."

".. Eh? What did you say there?"

You shifted to face her properly, trying to make sense of the words signed on the bottom. "Ploose-oh-ney. That's what it looks like it says." Shiver asks to see the invite, and you hand it to her. She looks puzzled as she attempts to decrypt the fancy writing.

After a moment, she lets out an audible 'oh!' and hands the invitation back to you. "It says 'plus one'." You take the fancy letter back and put it close to your face. "Really?" It took you a while to see it.

"The fancy writing didn't help with that, to be honest." Shiver admitted. You looked up at her and set the invitation down in your lap. "Well, if we do ever go to that special event.."

You grinned from ear to ear and leaned on her. "I would love for you to be my ploose-oh-ney."

Shiver couldn't help but turn a bright inky red at the comment. Believe it or not, she gets flustered really easily. She hides behind her fan and begins to aggressively fan herself. "A-ah! Thank you, (N/N). Now, I, uh.. I think it'd be best if we kept searching just in case we find anything better!"

You shrugged and set the note aside, creating a 'good pile' and completely oblivious to what you had done to your poor lover.

Now, we get to the Final Fest: Splatocalypse. Chaos (Pearl) x Order (Marina). As seen in the dialogues, there was a bit of miscommunication, and Marina was worried that Pearl wanted to break up (their band). But after Chaos wins, Pearl makes it clear that this was never her plan

Most localizations tend to be just like in EN, with few differences (I’m highlighting the most interesting in the images) and all show the same: Pearl and Marina are inseparable and Off the Hook means everything to them *both*. In some (like EN), Pearl even says she loves Marina!

Hisashi Nogami, Splatoon’s producer, reinforces this in an interview, mentioning how Off the Hook are “a unit” and “on good terms”. If there’s one thing to expect from them is that they will always be together and have each other’s back, which we will see more of later on

Interviewer I’ve heard people saying that since the final fest for the last game was a showdown between the Squid Sisters, this time it was bound to be between Off the Hook. Nogami I think that’s probably the obvious conclusion, but the development team don’t actually want those two to attack one another. Since the Squid Sisters have their own talents and abilities, even though they are a duo they are also kind of rivals, so we thought we would pit them against each other. Off the Hook, though, are much more of a unit and on good terms with one another, so we didn’t want to force them to fight.

Thanks to @/ZeeGeeADHD (twitter), I realized that I was forgetting the shifty stations! Marina is a tech genius who built several multiplayer stages for the Splatfests. In JP, those stages are named after shōjo manga. In EN, the names are just references to popular books

Shōjo is one of the main categories of manga, focusing on the target demographic of teenage girls and young adult women, and Marina is also a huge fan of it. For the stages, the majority are romance mangas, although I wouldn’t exactly recommend all of them…

I tried to find summaries for all of them, and even checked a few to see if there was anything interesting, but there wasn’t a lot. Some have younger x older lovers, which you could read more into… But I think it’s just a regular trope in the genre

Because of the difficulty I had to find proper translated summaries, I ended up relying more into machine translations for those, instead of carefully looking over everything like I did before. I apologise for that but I really didn’t feel like spending that much time on it… 

Most are famous, probably chosen for the sake of a pun, instead of being what Marina herself would choose. But there’s one exception: the last stage, with a name that matches a manga written and drawn by Marina herself, released as a bonus for the official Splatoon manga

It matches Marina's “Since it's the last... I'll make a special stage with all my thoughts” dialogue in the ‘fest announcement, and it shows both her and Pearl as stereotypical shōjo characters: clumsy main character (Marina) who looks up to the cooler senpai (Pearl)

The title “Dear Pearlie” makes it seem like something dedicated to Pearl, or like it’s a letter, which seems likely considering the letters shown at the end. Notably, one of them has some hearts drawn in…

dont remember if anyones asked this but why does kingyoto work for grizzco? and does he not find any issue in what grizzco do? i need to learn abt this fish

His previous job was fishing dead remains out of the waters that run towards Salmonid villages, namely washed up ink so it doesn’t pollute villages. he’s always had a fascination with Inkopolis— it’s sort of the New York City of splatoon, which you see it a lot on cards and stuff it’s sort of a staple location.

Kingyoto does not startle at the things Grizzco does, Salmonids are all aware. The reviews on it still are mixed but at the end of the day most of the general consensus in their minds is “when we transform, we have a one track mind that ultimately can harm other species, it’s better that a company dedicated to protecting Inklings harvests eggs from home running Salmonid’s does this instead of Afraid Inklings in Farmland Territories, we were gonna die during home runs anyway” but also religiously the home run is considered completing the cycle, so before Salmonid’s leave their families are aware they won’t return.

Most Salmonids are unaware in the right conditions Homerunners are docile, and that they’re only violent due to the Inkwasted waters affecting how far they can transform. So they think Grizzco is a last resort solution.

But, Salmonids are aware, that because of Grizzco young Salmonids get hurt or killed, and because of Grizzco a lot of Inklings have negative opinions on Salmonids. Kingyoto knew this coming in, but I think after fishing up flesh from water you sort of become numb to the idea of wanting to be eaten or killed. And because most Inklings are so adjusted to Homerunning salmon, half of them assumed he wasn’t a salmonid at all and the other half wants him dead. So it’s a tough to please crowd but he’s a trooper.

Also, his original job was shitty and ruinous and owned by Senshin Corp, so when he essentially got replaced by Machinery management told him that an opportunity opened up at Grizzco, not many Salmonids are willing to go overseas. But Grizzco sounded sleek and professional in his mind. Grizzco is famous, it’s like being told you’re working at NASA or Disney. Grizzco literally has merchandise— probably to hide and normalize the things they do. But it’s kind of a mix of multiple of these factors, being the reason why he moved, I think a lot of Inklings don’t understand this considering how many of them view Salmon Runs as a Sport.

If you asked Kingyoto though, he’d probably say “because I’m a huge squid sisters fan.”

The sounds of the critters at night were always quite the melody for the kind of night that anyone much like Pearl Houziki, upcoming Idol and... as of now Solo Idol was seen walkiing around the city of Inkopolis. A few Inklings then and there were whispering. They could at least recognize Pearl Houziki, but deep down, she knew why. All those whispers, wondering and spreading gossip about what truly was supposed to be Pearl.

"And on the latest news, Upcoming Idol of the Calamary Country, Pearl Houziki, self-claimed MC Princess, had released the new hit single...uhhhh, can We even say that on live TV? Surely we can't... Anyways, thats definitely not important for now. Her hit solo with the song has been on quite the rise and a bit of controversy by some managers. Expressing quite unease at the bold decision with a title like that."

On the big screen of the entire city and Pearl's "TCH!" was louder than everything He could just express and keeping it civil around lots of folks that would turn around to face Her.

Taking a Cake break with some cookie crumbles and her favorite top glaze being just a strawberry-flavor one, He sits down to ease away Her worries. However, as per say Her dreams and goals be on teh way now, Pearl definitely was the topic and trend as of now, yet for not exactly what the MC Inkling had expected. Nonetheless, A step is a step, and Pearl was used to the many talks behind Her back. Deeply though, the Upcomer Inkling had yet to get used to being compared time and time again for the so famous Squid Sisters.

"Pop idols, and pop music and they expect me to do the same shit they do and then I'll be the copy catfish. Fuck that." Pearl groans and mumbles before putting away her phone and getting to enjoy the strawberry cake of His.

The day was just beginning yet for Himself, it was far from being told in what He needed to do rather than what She wants to do. Just like that, Pearl's cellphone makes it be known with a ding! As there was a New notification from one of Her bandmates.

Her manager tried and tried again with every encourage, but for how long? How long must Pearl endure it? If anything, the Punk Inkling had just wondered how incredible patient must be to wait and still keep on going. And thats what would make Pearl keep on strolling, but once again... He was met with a Stalemate in this checkboard of the Singing world where the next move, will have to plan on according to what would be the World's move. Fate can say lots of many new things. And yet Pearl finds Herself once again boiling it all up. "FINE!! BE LIKE THAT!!" She shouts but yet Not everything was out. Pearl had more. There is only so much He can take yet despite having The freedom to do so, The chains of being put against a Splatana was SO MUCH, She only wants TO scream. Scream and Never stop.

Pearl found himself just relaxing and laying on the branch of a Tree at the noon. Not sure on what to do. Not sure what will be the next one. He just ponders at the moon. "Coddamnit...not again. not again with this shit."

Night came in at Mount Nantai and Pearl still kept on pondering on the tree. Crossed arms, and just looking at the only accompany of the almost sunlight eclipsed by the dark starry skies.

*"SERIOUSLY?! You settled on FOR THIS TITLE?!"*

*"ARGHHHH! MY EARS! This is a SINGING Competition! Not the SQUIDBEAK ARMY! NEXT!"*

*"Pearl Houziki is said to be this new upcoming idol, but I really don't see the vision with Her going all so punk and loud. Louder and screaming really isn't music. Maybe with directions by the Squid Sisters, She could triumph like them, but then again, its already hard to compete against really talented duo like them."*

*"Maybe one day, who knows? Pearl's music can turn around, but until She stops being that braddish and loud that doesn't know how to clam down, then I see no future. At least the Houziki Companies will be a good back up for Her just in case!"*

More and more and each thought getting louder and louder. Pacing around the Seemingly rocky path that Mt Nantai was well recognized for. A territory that yet any Inkling had yet to see more. A territory that the Houzikis had well sought for and trying on to buy a lot.

"HHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" With a really cursed and loud seething. It wasn't much that Pearl could just shout louder and louder.

"FUCK OOOOOOOOOFF!!!"

The more than obvious Scream made a HUGE ramble against the mountains and the grass. It was like an earthquake for anyone surrounding it. Some drops were seen from the chin of Her face. "I HAD ENOUGH. I COULD CARE LESS! I DON'T WANT BE ANYONE!! BUT...Me...." Her strong Killer-Wail like voice making a scene to ruckus and shaking of everything that the road was. Unbeknownst...the surface down there, seemingly seem to crumble more. Like something trying to punch it out from the inside.

"I could care less what the shell they think of Me. I'm not changing. I don't....huh?"

The shake got more than apparent and stronger. Making everything just crumble, and some bright-blue colored ink launching upwards.

"WHOA!! WHAT THE CLAM IS?!?!" Pearl barely dodged and tried to get Her Enperry Dualies from the belt He had, but he lost the footing. And the Punk Idol, couldn't grab at anything. He felt and just saw the sight of everything that was once the surface...fade and get further away.

Everything was black. There was a void of anything, but Pearl could make out something...

"S-SURRENDER! In-Inkling Invader!!" Pearl was barely conscious, but He could see now...something She didn't expect.

A beautiful curly tentacled hair...Octo? It didn't had the Squid mask, and the hair as well the eyes that could barely glow. A glow that made Her eyes return with full of color. Pearl could see that just like She was getting point at by what seemed a .52 gal, yet despite it...

"Wh-Whoa....what a beautiful angelfish." Its all She could make out before She fades into unconsciousness.

🎤It was how cute he was!! When we first met, Inky didn’t even know who I was! You should’ve seen him!! He started rambling about how much he loooves the Squid Sisters and how he listens to their songs everyday and knows all the lyrics! It was adorable!!!! It was the day of a concert and I was really not feeling it for most of the day or really the week or so leading up to it, but hearing him gush about me unknowingly directly to my face just cheered me up so much… He was so cute. Now he gets so embarrassed whenever I bring that up <3

🎤All the time <3!! I love taking him out to dinner and picking out clothes at the mall with him. Mostly I just like taking him out on the town to show him off tho LOL. He looooves smoothies, so we go out to get those like. Every other day. He really REALLY loves smoothies.

🧡 - What do you two like to do at parties?

🎤Inky likes to dance!! But he gets embarrassed dancing alone so I dance with him ^^. Otherwise, we chow down on whatever snacks are available! People tend to approach me alllll the time (comes with the territory of being famous huh?), so sometimes I’ll be chatting it up with someone while he’s scoping out the snacks. He always abandons me when it’s socializing time ;^; but I can easily handle it, so it’s fiiiiine.

🎤He loves dressing up in… pretty much anything!! His casual style is pretty similar to mine, comfy shorts and a cute shirt will do for both of us. But when it comes to dressing up, I have a more defined style of what I like to wear. I prefer mostly black clothes with colorful accents. Sometimes I like elegant dresses too. And he’ll wear a style like mine or really anything else! However he’s feeling! I think he looks adorable when he matches with me <3

It was now break time.

After putting your books away and grabbing your book bag you made your way to the front desk to see your mother in her suit talking to the front desk lady "Thank you, have a good afternoon." The lady said as you and your mother walked out of the school.

You rode with your mom up front as you told her what happened at school "You guys were dissecting squid today? We dissected frogs when I was in school." She said "Yep and one of them was still filled with ink, it squirted Mr Alfrid." You told your mom until you stopped in front of a huge building.

The building was bigger on the inside with a lot of doors and hallways and was eerily quiet except for a few voices at one of the doors with two guards blocking it "Welcome Mrs L/N." One of them said opening the door for you and your mother "Thank you." You said to the guards who both smiled and nodded.

Inside you see a lot of people you never meet "Hello M/N." A man with waist length blond hair and icy blue eyes greeted your mother as well as everyone else "Who's the kid?" A man with shoulder length brown hair with grey streaks and stubble asked "This is my daughter! Dear introduce yourself." You looked at everyone and said "hello my name is Y/N L/N I am 15 years old and this is my first time here." You said making everyone surprised "She's younger then Tilda." A woman about 9 years older then you said to a man about a year younger then her but 8 years older then you besides him was a woman 4 years older then you "I didn't even know you have a child, she looks just like you." A black haired man said "Can we get to the meeting at hand please?" Asked a man with Black and silver streaked hair, a black beard and blue eyes on ether side of him were two more men one about 14 years older then you and the other 10 years older then you.

The meeting started with no interruptions "So M/N why don't you bring Your child around more often?" The tall blond asked "Thranduil can you please not bring my daughter into this? She's still a minor." your mother said annoyed making him and the other four men smirk at you much to your discomfort "She looks like a mini M/N." One of the men who looks like Elrond said "Shut it Elladan." The other said "Will you both act your age for once." Asked a woman who looks like a female version of them and Elrond.

After the chaotic meeting you and your mother drive to a restaurant for lunch with Thranduil and his son Legolas who is 14 years older than you.

Your mother and Thranduil sat up front with your mother driving while you and Legolas sat on back while one of Thranduil's guards drove his car.

The car was silent with the adults talking and you playing on your phone you suggested a sushi restaurant since you haven't had sushi in a long time.

Inside the restaurant:

You and Legolas are getting food with the guard watching you and your parents talked.

Legolas asked you what's the best sushi to start with and you happily told him F/S (favorite sushi) after getting your food both of you sat down with your parents while they talked Over their own sushi and wine while the guard stands.

After eating dessert you had to use the bathroom "Mom I'm going to the bathroom." You told her while getting up "ok dear." She said giving you the ok "I also have to use the bathroom father." Legolas said giving Thranduil a wink who gives him a smirk.

After using the toilet you went to wash your hands, however as your doing so something didn't feel right.

You felt woozy, everything was spinning, and you felt sleepy it then hit you that the room was smoky and before you knew it, you collapsed the last thing you see are a pair of legs.

A few hours later:

You wake up feeling like you had a hangover. You adjusted your eyes to the light and saw that you weren't in your own room.

This rooms walls were painted a Scarlett color, the bed was queen size with sheets the same color as the walls, there was a small wardrobe, nightstand, mirror and a big window letting in the moonlight.

When you got out of the bed you saw that your still wearing your school uniform (image above) you fearfully ran towards the door hoping it was all a dream and that your in the hospital but only to find it locked from the outside.

You looked around for your phone but it was no where in the room.

You sat on the bed feeling sick until the sound of the door unlocking was heard "Looks like someone's awake." A familiar deep voice said looking up you see Thranduil still in his suit but you also saw the other men from the meeting you believed your mother called them Bard, Bilbo, Elrond and Thorin "I can't believe you actually kidnapped M/N's daughter, the heiress to the L/N name." The one named Thorin said to Thranduil who smirked in victory "You even did it right under M/N's nose." the one named Bard said. Your eyes went wide with the fact that you've been kidnapped and worst of all your mother won't be able to find you anytime soon if you'll ever see her again that is. So many questions felled your head 'why am I here? Will Mom find me? Will I be able to go to school? will I see Porsha, Adam and Tyler again? What are they going to do with me?' Your brain went numb from all the questions in your head because by god this was to much and you just want it to go away "So what now? I mean what are you going to do with her?" The man with short curly hair and green eyes asked while pointing at you making the others look to you "I'll keep her here. After all she is something or someone precious to M/N!" He said walking towards you and picking you up from the bed by your underarms like you weighed nothing bye god you were small compared to everyone in this room even Bilbo Baggins the shortest man in the room was taller then you "Here are the rules, 1. you are not going to school anytime soon. 2. You are to wear what I give you. 3. You are to use my last name. 4. I am your father so you well address me as so and do what I say. 5. You are to listen to Legolas your new big brother. 6. I am hanging on to your phone until Your obedient enough. And finally the last rule, you are not to leave this house."

You got furious with the rules "GIVE ME A GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULD LISTEN TO ANY OF THESE STUPID RULES, TO YOU AND YOUR SON! AND CAN YOU PUT ME DOWN IM NOT A BABY?!" you shouted in rage making the others lightly chuckle "It's quite adorable when mafia children act tough." Bard said making Thranduil lift you higher "Because your mother took something precious of mine so I'm taking something precious of hers, We are adults with Legolas being 14 years older then you and you will follow these 'stupid' rules or else." You where not being held prisoner by a guy you only just meet "Or else what?" You asked defiantly making him smirk "Perhaps this is the proper time to show you the punishment for disobedience little one." He said sitting on the bed and swinging you across his lap causing you to yelp. He lifted up your school skirt revealing your black shorts "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING YOU CREEP?" You screeched in alarm "Shush." He said at this point you felt your temper rising "IM NOT A CHILD." You screeched once again feeling like he was bullying you "If you continue behaving like a child then a child you shall be treated as." I was the fastest flyer in all of Hogwarts, I got it from my brother who was of course the most famous seeker in all of Hogwarts. “Oi potter, where’s your fun ha-ha” Sirius flew under the bend of the bridge, “Sirius, you can’t even beat me, your slower than a slug” I took the alternative route above the bridge. “I doubt that” Sirius was dived under the bridge once more “Your brother is twice the speed you are potter” I took that as a sign to trick him. “Watch yourself Black” I turned the broom to fly in front of him, “scared Black” I taunted.

“Scared ha!” Sirius took the chance to take a breather “Oi Sirius remember what McGonagall said”. Sirius scoffed “Yeah, but I’m not going to get in trouble this time” he nudged my shoulder “we’re going to risk my brother’s spot”.

I'm so proud of him, he's growing into a wonderful young man. Although, sometimes when he's in one of his hyper moods it's difficult not see the little boy that used to speed around the house, the one who would come and crawl in my bed for cuddles after a nightmare, or during a bad storm. I used to refer to him as my blonde-haired munchkin. If I called him that now he would probably try to tickle me, although he would have to catch me first.

Gordon: My light in the dark.

Watching Gordon win an Olympic Gold Medal was one of the best things I've ever experienced. Nearly losing him after his hydrofoil accident was one of the worst. We should have realised though that our squid wouldn't give up that easy. He's a fighter, the one who will never give up despite the odds. He's the joker of the family and our bringer of joy and fun. Penelope is one lucky lady to be dating him!

Virgil: My gentle giant.

He's big, broad and his outer exterior presents him as the tough sporty guy who you wouldn't want to cross. However, he's really the complete opposite. One of the kindest guy you could ever wish to meet and will always there to pick you up when you fall. I know his brothers refer to him as their Switzerland. To me, he's the one who calms me at the end of a long day, either through a song he plays on the piano, his warm voice, or via one of his famous bear hugs.

John: My kindred spirit!

We have a weird 'twin' connection, though in terms of blood we are not actually related. Seriously, he's always catching me out on stuff and I'm always catching him. If one of us is down, then the other knows. I broke my wrist once and his wrist swelled up! If I believed in reincarnation, I would have said we were twins in a previous life.

Scott: My everything!

I don't refer to Scott as my brother anymore. That would make what we are weird, but I know what we have isn't wrong. He's able to make my legs turn to jelly with a single look followed by one of his dimpled smiles. What we have is special, it's magic and I really don't know what I would do without him.

Head Cannon Au: Tin-Tin and Kayo are sisters. Hint of Scayo.

Tin-Tin… A nickname her father came up with when she was a toddler (and yes, she likes it) short for Tanusha Kyrano… Extremely protective of her sister and the Tracy boys who she now refers to as brothers – well, except Alan of course… (And Virgil - But, that was just once when they were both in their first-year at college, and maybe a few other times after that if she's being honest - They quickly realised however that they were better off as friends.) Yes, she loves cooking, sewing and knitting, dresses and high heel shoes but if you tell her she can't do something because she's a girl she'll show you exactly what a girl can do! Mechanical engineer who earned top marks in her class. A fantastic pilot with additional skills in first-aid. She is always happy to get her hands dirty on a mission and will not think twice about risking her life in order to save another.

Kayo... Not short for anything! Tin-Tin's twin sister. Youngest by two minutes, and hates the fact that her sister will not let her forget that! Dislikes dresses, heeled shoes, can't sew or knit to save her life, but she can whip up a pizza and a decent bacon and tomato sandwich, but she may burn down the house if she attempted anything else… However, what she does lack in domestic skills she certainly makes up for in others… Highly trained in a variety of Martial Arts which include, capoeira, jujitsu, karate, and kickboxing… Oh, and don't forget the additional skills as a pilot… Plus, rock climbing, long distance running, sky diving, and boxing… (Yes, I wouldn't recommend cornering her in a dark alley… She will make you regret it!) Like her sister, she is very protective of her family and also refers to the boys as brothers… (Except, for Scott - But they are enjoying keeping that as a secret – For now!) Completely fearless she makes an excellent chief of security for International Rescue.

So, there you have it… Tin-Tin and Kayo… Twin sisters, alike and yet different in so many ways!

Never Alone

Au where Kyrano passes when Kayo is a child.

Kayo sat on an embankment, staring out at the grey listless clouds that refused to release the rain from their grasp. She wished they would, the day had been humid and definitely needed the release that a storm would bring. However, just like her own repressed emotions the rain didn’t come, and the heavens that she longed to open and return her papa to her remained closed.

A hitch hit her breath as she desperately repressed a tear, another sob for the man who had always been there for her. Who would be there for her now? Yes, she and her father had lived with the Tracy’s for a number of years and they had been so kind to her during these past few days, but they wouldn’t want her around for much longer. Would they? She was on her own now. No one to care for her if she fell, no one she could hold and cherish in her heart. No one to…

The sound of crunching leaves caught her attention, and her gaze lifted to take in five boys, all of them looking towards her. Quietly two sat on her one side, the other two on the opposite, and the youngest climbed on to her lap, his head instantly cuddling into her chest. She pulled him closer allowing a tear to roll down her cheek, followed by another. Then as if it had waited a rumble of thunder burst forth along with the much-needed downpour matching her now uninhibited sobs.

Warm arms enveloped her, but no words were spoken, they didn’t need to say anything. The unconditional love radiating from all of them expressed everything she needed. She would never be on her own.

Kayo jogged up to the lounge from the hanger, after returning from a successful solo mission, desperate to get her debrief over and done with so she could get some food and relax before the next rescue call came in. However, upon reaching the lounge she was surprised to find no one around, 'Where are they?' Kayo frowned.

Suddenly, a waft of cooking meat coming from a nearby barbecue answered her question. Grinning, she quickly made her way outside to the pool, bringing herself to a sudden halt at the sight before her. There was Scott wearing only loose-fitting shorts as he slaved over a hot barbecue, the sweat trickling down his tanned bare chest as he flipped the meat over. Kayo could feel the saliva dripping down her chin while her mouth remained open in awe.

"Hey," Scott smiled at her. "Foods nearly ready, you hungry?"

"Yes, I am!" she replied, grabbing him and pulling him away from the barbecue.

Scott ground them both to a halt. "Wait, Kayo. The food's nearly done!"

"Virg, can you watch the food?" She asked.

Virgil nodded, jumped up from the sun lounger and began tending the barbecue.

"Where are you taking me?" He questioned as she began leading him away again. "I thought you'd be hungry after your mission."

"Oh, I am hungry but certainly not for food!"

"Oh!" Scott smirked, allowing her to lead him to her room.

I've had an idea lurking in the back of my mind for a while now

I generally dont like indulging myself in family angst, so i wanted to give you my idea for kokichi's family.

First things first: its huge.

It has 14 people. His mom and dad, uncle and aunt, as well as 4 sisters and 5 brothers, and his grandma (who is russian and i find that cool) as well as 2 dogs and a cat. (Called domino, cleo and the cat- squid)

The family have their houses side-by-side with the middle fence taken off

His entire family is a hugely creative one. Everyone participates in some kind of hobby thats creative: for example one of the siblings does stand-up comedy and is starting to get a pretty good crowd, the other is a singer/songwriter, one of the girls is an animator, etc etc (Kokichi in this case plays in theatre. Can i also mention he does gymnastics and can do random tricks? It just seems fitting lol)

Kokichi's mom is a famous novel writer, and his dad works at a casino (also, everyone doesn't play board games with kichi. Mostly because his dad taught him so many cheats and tricks its astounding)

Kichi got his love for mind games and puzzles from his dad

Kichi helps out his younger siblings- and hes actually very loved in the household! (Apart from kaito- yeah, kaito's in the family. Hes adopted and keeps him and kichi being siblings a secret)

Him and kaito's relationship is that theyre always at a competition or bet. Sometimes, rarely, they get along! It usually happens through videogames (which later on gets competitive again)

Kichi's grandma is russian, and also is a really good storyteller. She sometimes teaches him bits of russian :)

The older siblings help the family make money

Theres Aimi, rei, ryoko, and Eri (girls) And also kaito, Katsu, Ko, Yoshi and Takeshi (boys) The uncle and aunt are named Nobuo and Megumi The father and mother are Hoshi and Ryo The grandma is called Makarova, (called maka for short)

In order of oldest to youngest: Rei, kaito, katsu, ryoko, ko, Yoshi, kokichi, Takeshi, Aimi and Eri

They often participate in family holidays and activities. You can imagine how fun family gatherings are

FEATURE: The Anime Stars of Genshin Impact

  Genshin Impact has lived up to its name in that it has indeed made an impact upon the gaming world. Launched on September 26, the free-to-play open-world game has amassed $245 million in only its first month, and that's from Android and iOS alone. I'm not ashamed to say that I have sunk an unholy number of hours into this game. Why do I like this game so much? Perhaps the biggest reason Genshin Impact is so appealing to me is that I am an anime fan.

  Voices from all over the world of anime can be heard in Genshin Impact, from Naruto to My Hero Academia to currently airing seasonal anime. Being able to "hear" your favorite anime character in-game is part of what makes this game so great. Let's take a look at some of the talented people from the anime industry whose voices bring the characters of Genshin Impact to life.

  Paimon (Aoi Koga)

    Paimon is the face of Genshin Impact. No, literally, her face is on the launcher icon. Imagine my shock when I found out she is voiced by Aoi Koga, the voice of Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The intimidatingly smart rich girl Kaguya and the squeaky and energetic (and kinda stupid) Paimon couldn't be more different. Props to Koga for making both work. Koga has also voiced Elulu from Cautious Hero, Yuri Miyata from TWOCAR, and Sora Kaneshiro from Angel's 3Piece.

Male Traveler (Shun Horie) 

  One of the first actions you take in the game (in most games, for that matter) is to choose your character. In Genshin Impact, you choose between two world-traveling twins, who the other characters simply refer to as "Traveler." The male Traveler (whose official name is Aether) is voiced by Shun Horie. I personally recognize him as Enta from Sarazanmai, but most would know him as Kazuya ("Kazuya-kuuuuun!") from Rent-a-Girlfriend. Some of his other roles include Ichiro Suzuki aka Satou Pendragon from Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Rat from Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, and Hacker from this season's Akudama Drive.

Female Traveler (Aoi Yuuki)

    What about the female Traveler (whose official name is Lumine)? Turns out she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who voices ... Mami from the same show. The irony of this coincidence is not lost on me. Yuuki is probably best known for voicing Madoka Kaname, the protagonist of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. To me, however, her most memorable role was as the titular Boogiepop in 2019's Boogiepop and Others; an unforgettable performance. She's voiced a number of other notable roles, including Tamaki from Fire Force, Tsuyu Asui (Froppy) from My Hero Academia, Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, Tornado from One-Punch Man, Kayo from ERASED, Yuuki Konno from Sword Art Online II, and Hachiman's sister Komachi from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. 

Amber (Manaka Iwami)

Kaeya (Kohsuke Toriumi)

    The cool and charismatic Kaeya is, surprisingly enough, voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi, known as the voice of the hotheaded Kiba from Naruto. He has also voiced Shunsuke Imaizumi from Yowamushi Pedal, Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Cecil from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.

Lisa (Rie Tanaka)

    A lazy and flirtatious scholar with electrical powers, Lisa is voiced by the experienced Rie Tanaka, who one might easily recognize as Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The gentle, "sisterly" voice of Lacus suits Lisa's personality to a T. Tanaka has also voiced Yomi from Azumanga Daioh, Chii from Chobits, Sammy from Time of Eve, Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler, Chizuru from Squid Girl, and Suiginto from Rozen Maiden.

Barbara (Akari Kito)

    The first Akari Kito role that catches the eye is her performance as Kotoko Iwanaga in In/Spectre; both she and Barbara have a near-identical dressing sense, with their frilly white frock and cap. Kito has also voiced Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Kaho Hinata in BLEND-S, and Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite. You can also look forward to hearing her as Tsukasa in TONIKAWA and Adachi in Adachi and Shimamura this season.

Beidou (Ami Koshimizu)

    Beidou is voiced by Ami Koshimizu, voice of Ryuko from Kill la Kill and Kallen from Code Geass — two popular characters from two of the biggest shows of our times. Some of her other roles include Holo from Spice and Wolf, Tenma from School Rumble, Nodoka from Saki, and Shizuri from A Certain Scientific Railgun.

Bennett (Ryota Osaka)

    Bennett's design coupled with his "passionate" and "righteous" personality screams "protagonist" to me. And that's exactly what his voice actor Ryota Osaka delivers, being the voice of Eijun Sawamura from Ace of the Diamond, Nariyuki Yuiga from We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, and Ryu Yamada from Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. His other roles include Zen Wistalia in Snow White with the Red Hair, Keiji Akaashi in Haikyu!!, Yuki Sanada in Tsuritama, Nagate in Knights of Sidonia, Ikki Kurogane in Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and Sadao Mao in The Devil is a Part-Timer!.

Chongyun (Soma Saito)

    Chongyun is voiced by Soma Saito, perhaps best known as Yamaguchi from Haikyu!!. However, his breakout performance was as young Twelve in Terror in Resonance. Other notable roles include Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill, Adlet Mayer from Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, Doppio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and William James Moriarty from the currently-airing Moriarty the Patriot.

Diluc (Kensho Ono)

    Diluc is widely considered to be the best character in the game from a gameplay perspective. He is voiced by Kensho Ono, whose most famous voice performance is undoubtedly Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Ono is also known for his performance as the titular Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball. Other roles include Canute from Vinland Saga, Arata from ReLIFE, Mikazuki from My Roommate is a Cat, Slaine Troyard from Aldnoah.Zero, Tanaka from Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, and Akutagawa from Bungo Stray Dogs. 

Fischl (Maaya Uchida)

    In what has to be the most on-point casting in this game, Maaya Uchida — best known as the voice of delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo (middle-schooler) Rikka from Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions — voices a delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo in Fischl. Well done, miHoYo, well done. She also voices Hiyori from Noragami, Norman from The Promised Neverland, Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess, Yoshioka from Blue Spring Ride, and Rui from Domestic Girlfriend. 

Jean (Chiwa Saito)

    Chiwa Saito (the voice of Jean) went on to become one of my favorite voice actors after I heard her as Hitagi in Bakemonogatari, Yona in Yona of the Dawn, and Homura in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Some of her other performances include Aika in Aria the Animation, Chloe von Einzbern in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei, and Schierke in 2016's Berserk.

Keqing (Eri Kitamura)

    The energetic and hardworking Keqing is played by Eri Kitamura, known for voicing such energetic characters as Mina Ashido in My Hero Academia, Yui in Angel Beats, and Sayaka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She also voices Ami in Toradora!, "Chief" Yachiyo in Wagnaria!!, and Bea in Pokemon: Twilight Wings.

Klee (Misaki Kuno)

    Klee has quickly become a fan favorite, partly due to her short stature and childlike demeanor. She is quite appropriately voiced by Misaki Kuno, known for voicing "childlike" characters such as Hawk from The Seven Deadly Sins, Momo Kawamoto from March Comes in Like a Lion, Shio from Happy Sugar Life, Serara from Log Horizon, Niko from Kiznaiver, and Akane from Durarara!! x2.

Mona (Konomi Kohara)

    Is it a coincidence that this game has both Aoi Koga AND Konomi Kohara (who voice Kaguya and Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War)? I think not. Kohara's other notable roles include Akane from Tsukigakirei, Kasumi from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -, Mina Hibino from Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, Shamiko from The Demon Girl Next Door, and Tsukasa's sister Chitose from TONIKAWA.

Ningguang (Sayaka Ohara)

    Sayaka Ohara is known for her deep, "mature" voice — an apt fit for Ningguang. While Ohara's best-known voice role is probably as Erza Scarlet in the Fairy Tail series, she has also delivered iconic performances as Beatrice from the Umineko When They Cry visual novels and Yuuko in xxxHolic. Other well-known roles include Irisviel from Fate/Zero, Alice from Aria the Animation, Milly Ashford from Code Geass, and Mrs. Yuigahama (Gaha-mama) in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.

Noelle (Kanon Takao)

    Kanon Takao has not done a whole lot of voice roles but there are still some recognizable titles on their resume, such as Hina Tsurugi from the recently-aired Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, Latina from If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Aku from Demon Lord, Retry!, and Linnea from The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar.  

Qiqi (Yukari Tamura)

    Qiqi is voiced by Yukari Tamura, who shot to fame as the voice of protagonist Nanoha Takamachi from the influential magical girl franchise Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Her other significant voice roles are as Togame in Katanagatari, Tenten in Naruto, Rika Furude in When They Cry, Io Euclase in GRANBLUE FANTASY: The Animation, Mai Kawasumi in Kanon, Yamada in B Gata H Kei, and Jibril in No Game No Life. 

Razor (Kouki Uchiyama)

    Kouki Uchiyama is known for his soft-spoken roles, especially villainous ones like Meruem from Hunter x Hunter, Shigaraki from My Hero Academia, and Rui from Demon Slayer. Even his non-villainous roles have that serious, soft-spoken nature to them — Tsukishima from Haikyu!!, Smile from Ping Pong the Animation, Natsuno from Shiki, Yu Otosaka from Charlotte, and Toi from Sarazanmai. He is a perfect fit for Razor, a menacing wolf-boy of few words.

Sucrose (Akane Fujita)

    Akane Fujita (the voice actor for curious bio-alchemist Sucrose) had her breakout year in 2017 when she played Sagiri Izumi in Eromanga Sensei and Sistine Fibel in Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.

Venti (Ayumu Murase)

    Venti's naive and mischievous personality makes him the perfect fit for Ayumu Murase, best known as the voice of the cheerful and simpleminded Shoyo Hinata of Haikyu!! fame. What interests me most, however, is the fact that Murase also voiced protagonist Kazuki from Sarazanmai — between Venti, Razor, and the male Traveler, it looks like we have the entire Sarazanmai main trio assembled! Murase has also voiced Shun in From the New World, Iruma in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and Ryo Asuka in Devilman Crybaby.

Xiangling (Ari Ozawa)

    I was very excited to hear that Xiangling would be voiced by Ari Ozawa, whose performance as Chiyo Sakura in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (her first major role) is one of the finest I have ever seen. Ozawa has also voiced Hina Hikawa in BanG Dream! S2, Kirin Todo in The Asterisk War, Mao in Hinamatsuri, Papi in Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls, Benitoite in Land of the Lustrous, Lynn May in Plunderer, and Conny in The Promised Neverland. 

Xingqiu (Junko Minagawa)

    It is quite common in the voice acting industry for male characters, especially younger ones, to be voiced by female VAs. Such is the case with refined bookworm Xingqiu. This is not the first time Junko Minagawa has voiced a male character — her first role came as Ryoma Echizen from the long-running The Prince of Tennis. Her other roles include Oz Vessalius in PandoraHearts, Cornelia in Code Geass, Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Jeanne d'Arc in Drifters. 

  As more characters are added to the game, we can expect more talented voice work from the people behind the scenes. Further updates have teased us with the possibility of such giants as Saori Hayami and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka joining the cast. Can't wait!
