BLU Spy still cannot grapple with the fact that the RED Scout isn't actually his son. He isn't even the real Spy, afterall. And he knows that. By all means, he shouldn't actually have any real memories of a Scout growing up. But he swears he does. And he doesn't even have any paternal feelings for the Scout on his own team. But, when he looks at the RED Scout.. he just feels it.. in his heart, that's his son.

I'm not sure which way most of you guys would prefer getting all the information for this au. Since right now it's just a semi story, semi ideas, in my head

Right now, I'll probably just throw in a little bit of story with drawings. Maybe like.. explaining the drawing

Predictions for COMIC 7

CHARLES DARLING WILL BE THE FINAL ENEMY besides Helen. Trust me on this one I swear they wouldn't have brought him in if they didn't have plans. ALSO the mother of the Mann triplets (Bette Mann neé Darling) was RELATED TO HIM HE'S RELEVANT. I'm so convinced he's the one Helen made a deal with and he's going to make a grab for Mann Co.

We'll get to see Bilious Hale in a flashback and find out what happened to him. Bilious Hale, oh guy who punched coal out of mines and sat on John Wilkes Booth while other people shot at him, my beloved. I hope they don't reveal he was a bad father or anything.

A woman is nice to Ms Pauling for once and she gets a smooch. She deserves it. Hopefully it won't be a smooch from Helen (DAMN YOU 4CHAN LEAKS), the old lady's had her hired since Pauling was in her mid teens.

WE GET HORSEMANN LORE! this is just wishful thinking on my part the Horsemann makes me insane. Shout out to Silas Mann fr. If he doesn't show up, I hope they at least acknowledge or reference him. I swear they had plans for him back in 2010. Which they then immediately abandoned in favour of developing Mann vs Machine.

Spydad reveal. Pretty much a given. No need to elaborate. I hope Scout’s mother shows up I love her.

Demo gets something important to do! He's only been there for comedic bits so far really, so I think he deserves some Serious Plot Stuff.

Build up to and cop out on Pyro face reveal. The whole thing of Pyro's character is the mystery, so I think the funniest way to go about a face reveal would be for us to only see the team's reactions and have them all react very differently e.g. Scout vomits, Demo gives them the thumbs up, Spy starts taking horrified notes, Engie looks vaguely lovestruck, Saxton Hale expresses annoyance that they aren't actually *insert obsucure species of something here* like he thought.

CONAGHER LORE!! By which I mean Engie shows up and has a chat with Fred about Radigan and immortality and whatnot. Fred has to have been spared from the bloodshed for a reason, right?

Classic Medic shows up! Or they confirm he is dead. Or they confirm he is Pyro which is a funny theory I read once but sincerely doubt. Maybe they'll pull a Bea and have him have been a girl the whole time.

I have a crackpot theory that Helen/Elizabeth is actually Bette Mann (again, mother of the Mann triplets), and while it's unlikely to be true, it would genuinely be so funny if I'm right so WATCH THIS SPACE. My main reasoning is Helen started her Australium search the year the triplets were born, aka the year Bette DIED, and also Bette is a nickname for Elizabeth. Also also it adds to my theory that she will team up with Charles Darling, who is, as I've already said, related to Bette.

Olivia gets to do something important also. Saying this bc she's mostly been a prop so far. I'm manifesting a sideplot where she summons the Horsemann to beat up Charles Darling for her.

Merasmus returns! Last we saw he was arrested, but Jay Pinkerton really likes his Soldier/Merasmus interactions so chances of him coming back are high.

There will be a joke like "geez it feels like it's been seven years since we beat grey mann" and a panel where everyone just lets that process before going back to plot stuff

Chances are, a new comic after so many years means there will be new writers, and the fandom has changed quite a bit since the last one. There will be SUBLIMINAL SPEEDING BULLET SHIPPING. There will be MORE FOCUS THAN IS REALLY NECESSARY on Scout. SOMEONE WILL THEY/THEM PYRO which sounds great actually you know what I forgot where I was going with this godspeed.

i have a lot to say about this. the most important thing to know is spy and scout BUT THEYRE CATS AND THIS IS MY TF2 WARRIORS AU.

ok so. this is spycat (maskshadow) seeing the "ghost" (its more just a vision) of his very dead son scoutcat (swiftfeet. he's younger, kit age, in this). this is that one scene in the naked and the dead where scout dies and spydad and shit. theres a lot of maskshadow and swiftfeet lore nonsense i have but basically this is a little after that scene. maskshadow thinks he's seeing his dead son who is kinda reminding him of the fact he didnt tell his own son the truth when he was dying. swiftfeet is holding a water lily: it means "you shouldn't lie to me."

If you guys are interested in Spydad, Spy having lore, but not to- out of Canon? I guess the word is- and shipping isn't a major factor- then I present to you-

This fic, this fic is one of the best fucking dadspy fics I've ever read, my autistic ass is fixating on the latest update chapter so bad, it sucks life gets in the way and I mentally always think "I WANT THIS CHAPTER NOW" BUT MMMM THIS FIC IS SO GOOD

Also, it’s so funny to me how people say it’s out of character because even before we got the backstory, he was known as a lady killer (in both ways) so is it so shocking a condom broke or something? Like there were so many theories before the confirmation about it being accidental and he didn’t know. Or he was in Scout’s life in the background. It’s just that people are so obsessed with making the mercs “good people” but they aren’t. Killing and torture is fine but cheating and ditching a kid? Gasp!!!

I mean on one hand I really understand it, a character being a parent who essentially abandoned their child is something that would hit a lot closer to home than a character being like a cartoon assassin. A lot of people's parents did split up or did leave their families so I do understand why someone would want to kind of find refuge in a fictional Ideal Family where Spy never left and tossed the pigskin around with his weenie Boston son or whatever dads are supposed to do idk. I get WHY people want like a Spydad au or whatever! But also I feel like it's just kinda immature to think that children can only exist within marriages and love can only be "real" if you stay with someone forever. People take Spy leaving as like, a sign that he "didn't really love" Scout's ma but I don't think that's true. I think even if you like him you can still accept that he made a bad decision, and I also do think it's an in-character decision lol. He's a cloak-and-dagger genre parody. Whenever James Bond gets married, she ends up dead. I think it's in-character for Spy to have left Scout and I also think it's in-character that he feels bad about it. This is like his One actually serious bit of lore let him have this

so anyway i read all the tf2 comics. my disjointed thoughts include

- woah spydad real... fanon aint lying that man can care about his son

- love is stored in the heavy weapons guy. just in general.

- fanon aint lyin that heavymedic can so real so true

- ^^^ medic really has tiny medical equipment exclusively for his doves. including a tiny neck brace. good for him

- i want what soldier and zhanna have their dynamic is so good

- spy really decided scout would die happier thinking tom jones was his dad 💀

- on that note imagine watching your son die and then he comes back and excitedly tells you he went to heaven and met god, who said he was god's perfect Sex Bomb, was offended that he hadnt gotten laid yet, and sent him back to earth to give humanity another chance to smash him. oh also you didnt get to see it but tom jones is his dad

- ^^^ these two had SOMETHING going on in these panels, though that may simply be because snipers fuckin Nude

- why were there two whole superman origin story references (smissmas weapons drop with pyro n' engie + sniper new zealand lore)

- speaking of new zealand its vaguely implied that kakapos survived both the moving new zealand underwater incident and the sniper backstory incident. interesting

i read through this like three times to make sure i didnt get any classes mixed up because i do that. usually its the s guys but i think i somehow did it to pyro and medic the other day. How. anyway its almost midnight goodbye
