[It was like looking at a funhouse mirror. The next thing Black knew was the fact that he was face-to-face with another version of himself. Though his counterpart was small, adorably so, the Sprunki had a scrunched and wrinkled expression, indicating decades of age. The little doppleganger appeared rather stunned at the sight of another one of himself, arms folded in front of his chest as he stared up at Black with a scrutinizing look.]

“It’s not every day I meet a version of myself that’s…relatively normal.”

[He sounded both somewhat unsettled and impressed, his head tilting to one side.]

“No devilish schemes, no dark magic, no hidden malevolence. Just some chap.”

[He chuffed, the smile evident in his voice as he spoke again.]

“Fucking finally!”

*Black's eyes widen and he steps back a few times, stumbling really until his back hits the wall and a slight "oomph!" slips from his lips. Then again, he cant really blame Black, this version hasnt met an AU of himself yet. This is his first time being confronted by a version of himself, so its gonna be something that throws him off*

*He stands there like a deer in the headlights, as hes talked to, but eventually does calm enough to stand up straight, brush himself off, and fix his hat. He brings a hand up and coughs into his palm, embarrassed over his own reaction. He must've looked like a real scardey-cat reacting like that to himself*

" I- uhm- "

*He blinks a few times before dropping his hands and folding them in front of himself. He looks around for a bit before his eyes settle back on the other, and then finally speaking up*

" You must be. . . an alternate universe of myself then? I uh- No. I do not have any malicious intent or anything of the sort. I do not see why I would. . . is that how I- we usually are. "

Hansen dons his vest and sheriff's hat having finished up his paperwork for the morning, and steps outside. There is a cool breeze, a fine haze of fog filling the cobblestone streets of the village... and directly in front of the sheriff's office stands- ... well... whatever this thing is. Hansen's hackles immediately raise and his ears pin back, but he makes no sudden movements aside from a polite tip of the hat. "Well-... erh... Howdy. Mornin' to you. Anythin' I can help ya with?" His voice wavers and sounds choked... And behind that bandanna, he wears and beneath the shadow the brim of his hat makes, it almost looks as if he had been crying. those weren't sounds of fear he was making.
