The mini-chopper blew up 4 years ago and I haven’t been cooking since. But The Kitchen God took pity as I was browsing the instant noodle section at Countdown when we had an early filming wrap. As I had pocket money to spend after months of not “working”, I had no hesitation in buying it, even before I saw the price*. So today I’m going to christen the MC by making my most favourite Chinese dip/sauce of spring onions & ginger in brown rice oil and (some) salt. This spring onion ginger mix is generously spread on roast duck/duck noodle soup but I won’t be too ambitious for now. I’m going to have it on soft boiled egg which has been drizzled with a light soy sauce.
