Ragnar 31 Activities / 31 Day Challenge Day 24 Radar detected them in my quadrant. Was hoping not to engage with them, however I left out on my mission fully prepared. Suddenly in my last mile, there they were. I had encountered THE BORG! (aka rain showers) 😰 Another long day meant another night run. Though warmer, my plantar fasciitis didn't want to cooperate. I almost gave up at two miles, but then my foot started to loosen up and I continued. Changed the route up and crossed into an uncharted (by me) neighborhood (Borg Sector). Ended slightly shaken, but not stirred. Ragnar 31 Activities / 31 Day Challenge Day 18 Attended the Time to Explore D.C. - Rock Creek Trail Run (RAFFLE and SWAG). A representative was there from Hoka One One that let us try on a choice of trail shoes. I chose the Speedgoat. They felt great on the technical course that we ran in Rock Creek Park this cold morning. While this was a great workout and reminder of how long I've been away from the trails, the morning was enhanced when I won a pair of shoes in the raffle! Fortunately, the low turnout increased my odds for the win. Now I have to decide which model I would like. Since I've never worn this brand, I've got work to do on trying various models or just stick with what I know.
