TDAC X PUPPET!READER
Hear me out
Reader is like puppet from fnaf, their character being very similar to puppet, them having the same voice and powers? Yknow Puppet flies fast as HELL and etc, Reader most of the time stays in the music box, and just gets out when really wanted or needed, for example: when theres an IHA or when someone needs them for something.
TADC x puppet!reader !
ashamed to admit this but i have not touched fnaf outside of security breach, recently at least. the last time i was fully invested in the fnaf lore was when fnaf 4 had just dropped, so im quite literally relying off of your description like its a life line because i know how insane fnaf lore has gotten think imma answer this request then take another short break since my lower back is starting to get sore from sitting all day; gotta go stretch my legs too
Tumblr media
CAINE:
you do have your own room, of course, but you tend to usually stay in your music box; of which you came with when you first entered the digital world... which was a little odd, but hey its not the strangest thing that anyone here has seen! i like to think that sometimes caine comes to your box at night and tries to will you out so he can get to know you more. leave it to the ai to fall for the mysterious circus member who rarely leaves their box... i think sometimes he would hum and sing along to the music your box makes
POMNI:
the first time you rush out of your music box it takes her off guard, almost making her fall off her feet when you dash right by her to do... whatever was required of you at that moment in time. if she were being honest, she didnt think you were a real person, she had always assumed that you were an npc; it wasnt unheard of that caine would have npcs stationed about for in house adventures, or to man the carnival..! though i dont think she would interact much with you, considering you rarely interact with the others; what use would it be to pester you?
JAX:
honestly before realizing you literally live and sleep and mostly exist in the music box, he probably puts stuff on top of your box... accidentally trapping you inside it. well, actually trapping wouldnt be accurate because you ended up brute forcing your way out, literally sending everything that was on top of the box flying; scaring just about everyone in the room. imagine trying to find out whos faster; you or jax.. i mean, have you seen how fast jax bolted when they found out koufmo abstracted?
RAGATHA:
always tries to ask you if you want to join in on the in house adventure, she doesnt want you to feel left out or unwelcome; even though most times you willingly back out of the activity. though, she feels relieved and even smiles when you spring out of your box to join in on the action... at least she knows you havent abstracted... brain stimulation is important, you know!
KINGER:
he finds some comfort in the music, slowly but surely as the days pass he moves his pillow fort closer and closer to your box before eventually hes right next to you. sometimes even naps, leaning against it. though he does immediately scamper off when you suddenly lunge out to race towards whoever is calling for you. at least he can count on you to have his back in moments of danger or fear!
ZOOBLE:
usually stays in their own lane, but for one reason or another they need help during an IHA, and their yelps and incoherent speech was enough to catch your attention. be it gloink or otherwise, you obliterate the problem; effectively haunting zooble for the rest of their life by your actions... but hey, it feels... nice, having someone you can rely on
GANGLE:
character who is soft spoken and shy meets character that rarely leaves their box when its not needed or necessary; how could a relationship, romantic or otherwise, be fostered in conditions such as this? oddly enough, the silence between you two brings you together, the music keeping the silence from becoming overwhelming. i like to think that sometimes gangle leaves you little notes, choosing to write rather than verbally speak... best not to ruin that special quiet the two of you have learned to share

Bree, do you have any historical information on May Day? Thanks in advance!
Only what I've read on wikipedia, tbh.
From what I can tell, it's one of many seasonal festivals that celebrates the end of spring and the official/unofficial beginning of the summer season. Lots of different cultures have some version of it, but May Day as we know it stems from a blend of different European regional festivals. Common threads include the gathering of tree boughs, flower garlands, singing, dancing, bonfires, courtship and fertility customs, offerings to various deities or saints associated with the same, parades, feasting, contests of physical prowess (mostly running and swimming races), and carnival-like community gatherings.
On a colloquial note, it's also the subject of a fun and saucy number from the musical "Camelot," and a downright naughty tune entitled "First of May" by Jonathan Coulton.
If You Know, You Know. 😏

Apple Bobbing? Please...
Eijirou Kirishima x reader
Flufftober Day 6: Bobbing for Apples
Wc: 1.6k
~ While at your neighborhood Halloween carnival, Eijirou enters an apple bobbing competition in hopes of winning you a very special prize.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The callouses on Eijirou Kirishima’s hand feel like home as the two of you walk hand-in-hand through your neighborhood Halloween carnival. Thanks to last night’s heavy rainstorm, a few fallen leaves stick to the dark pavement. Little kids leave through the crowd, their colorful puffy jackets bundled snuggly around them, making them look like colorful little-legged marshmallows.
The carnival looks like so much fun. There are rows of booths, rides, and vendors as far as the eye can see. But your boyfriend is trying hard to hide his disappointment. Originally, he had tried to get you two tickets to Pumpkin Land, the coolest Halloween amusement park event ever. But it was so popular and completely sold out of tickets at the beginning of the season. Even with all of his pro-hero connections and agencies standing, he still wasn’t able to get his hands on any.
“Mmmm, I smell Turkey Legs.” The Sturdy Hero hums into your ear playfully. He’s doing his best to just forget about Pumpkin Land, keeping a positive attitude about the whole thing.
“Of course, that’s the first thing you notice.” you giggle, wondering how he was able to smell anything over the overwhelming scent of freshly popped kettle corn from the stall off in the distance.
“What can I say? I love meat.” he grins, flashing you a mouth full of his pointy shark-like teeth. His signature red hair is covered by the black hood of his sweatshirt, and the cold air makes his cheek look a tad pink, but he still looks as handsome as ever.
“So, what should we do first?” you ask eagerly, looking at the rows of booths and rides. “Food, rides, or games?”
“His blood-red eyes sparkle in excitement as he looks at you. “Hmmm, I think we should start with something sweet.”
“Oh, like funnel cakes?” you say, glancing hungrily at a passing food truck advertising its fall-themed funnel cakes. One is made with a pumpkin spice batter with a caramel drizzle, and the other is shaped to look like a human brain and sprinkled with a strawberry powdered sugar. “That place looks cool. The brain may be a bit unappetizing, but it’s kinda fun since it is so close to Halloween.”
“Those do look pretty epic, but I have something else in mind.” he chuckles, his grip on your hand making it easy to spin you around. You gasp in surprise as you are now chest-to-chest with the Hero. He looks down at you sweetly, his eyes begging for a kiss before the words leave his tongue. “May I?”
“Please.” you smile, his chivalry never failing to make your heart race. That one little word spurred his lips to press to yours tenderly. His embrace momentarily wipes the thoughts of haunted ring tosses and Zombie-brained funnel cakes from your mind.
“Tasty, this was just what I was craving,” he says lowly, pulling away.
“So, you don’t want to get food anymore?” you tease, tilting your head to the side quizzically. At that moment, a group of teenagers walk past you with arms full of carnival food. The intoxicating smells make Kirishima’s stomach rumble as it wafts under his nose.
“N-no, I’m still hungry.”
~
It’s been a few hours of fun. Your bellies are full of greasy, slightly spooky-themed carnival food, and now, thanks to Kiri’s domination at the strongman carnival game, so are your arms. You hold your brand new Jack Skellington Squishmallow closer to your chest as Kiri guides you effortlessly through the crowd of people that only seems to get thicker as you head towards the heart of the carnival.
You pretend to not notice the spring in his step as he does so. Because in Eijirou’s mind, there is nothing manlier than being there for the person you love.
“That’s weird,” he mutters, his boots coming to a stop on the pavement. “There’s something going on at the stage.”
“Like a concert?” you ask, getting up on your toes to try and see over the evergrowing crowd of people.
“Maybe, let’s go check it out, stay close. I’ll bulldoze a way to the front,” he says confidently. He would never hurt an innocent civilian, but his years of training as a hero, as well as his sturdy frame, gives him quite the edge when it comes to navigating swarms of people. You nod and link your arm around his much burlier one. His strong muscles make it hard to get the perfect grip, but you know that he would never let you get separated from him.
When you are ready, he begins to move. His strides are confident as he makes his way past the crowd. On the stage is an old man wearing a tall orange velvet top hat; his hair seems to glow in under the stage lights thanks to some kind of quirk.
There are Thirty or so large metal Tubs behind him. Event workers are filling each one with water. As the water level gets higher and higher, you start to notice glimmering red dots floating on the surface.
“What are those red things?” you ask, leaning into Eijirou’s frame. Just as the announcer begins to speak into the mic.
“Apples,” he says in a loud whisper, not wanting to interrupt the man.
“Apples?” you whisper back confusedly, only to be cut off by the squeaking of the microphone.
“Thank you to everyone who has come out tonight.” the man says cheerfully, speaking into a microphone. “It is now time for our Annual Apple Bobbing Competition; if there is anyone who wishes to compete, please make your way towards the stage.”
“That looks like fun.” you tease, nudging your boyfriend slightly, “Do you want to compete?”
“Nah, bobbing for apples doesn’t sound like my thing.” he shrugs with a smile. “Besides, that water is probably freezing.”
“True, but it would still be fun to watch.” You say as he nods eagerly. Volunteers begin to make their way up to the stage, not minding the cold water.
“And if you are new and apprehensive about joining our competition,” the announcer says. “the winner of this year’s competition will win two VIP tickets to “Pumpkin Land.”
“D-did he just says Pumpkin Land?” Kirishima breathes. Taking an eager step toward the stage.
“I think he did,” you murmur. “But you just said you didn’t want to get wet.”
“I know what I said, but I gotta win this for us,” he says, puffing out his chest bravely. He rushes up to the stage before you have time to object. And you step up for a closer look.
“Oh, it looks like we have one more competitor .” The man says, noticing Kirishima taking his place on the stage. How could he not? Your boyfriend is easily head and shoulders taller than the rest of the competition. But everyone knows that size doesn’t quite equate to apple-bobbing ability.
You watch as Eijirou and the rest of the competitors kneel in front of the buckets and listen to the announcer explain the rules.
The competition will run for two minutes and in that time. Competitors with their hands behind their backs, we’ll have to dump their heads into the bucket of water and pull out as many apples as they can with their mouths. When the time is up, whatever competitor has removed the most apples will win the competition and the tickets.
You notice a few people murmuring in the crowd,
One person points to Kirishima, who, after removing his sweatshirt, looks much more noticeable. “hey, that red hair, you don’t think that’s…”
“no, I don’t think so…” another replies. “What would Red Riot be doing here?”
You want to roll your eyes; heroes have every right to live their lives as normal people do, even if it means entering a stupid apple-bobbing competition. But their voices are drowned out by the sound of the competition starting.
Right away, your boyfriend punches himself headfirst into the vat of water. He’s fearless. And he is one of the first to emerge with an apple in his mouth. The fruit looks skewered upon his sharp shark-like teeth. Which proves to be a problem.
He tries to let go of the Apple, but it stays firmly in his mouth. As much as he shakes his head, it does not budge, and he’s falling behind.
“oh no, it looks like we may have an early elimination.” The old announcer says, looking at your boyfriend with concern.
There is a look of determination and your boyfriend’s crimson eyes, and he begins to bite down on the apple, his sharp teeth efficiently cutting it in half, and it drops to the side of the bucket. This new game plan surprises the crowd, and strangely enough, Kirishima, who stares down at the split apple in wonder before diving straight back into the bucket to grab more apples.
Dunk
Chomp
Dunk
Chomp
Dunk
Chomp.
He’s unstoppable, and even before the timer sounds, signaling the end of the competition, his bucket is completely emptied. He throws his arms in the air in victory as the other competitors come to a stop.
“Well, want that amazing, folks?” the announcer declares, racing upwards to try and grab Kirishima’s hand to shake. “Young man, I have been doing this for years, and I have never seen someone bobb quite like ya. Congratulations on winning the competition.”
Your boyfriend’s smile is blinding as he shakes some water droplets off his hair. “Thank you, sir; it was a pleasure to compete.” His eyes find yours as he receives his winning envelope of tickets. “There is someone very special to me who really deserves these tickets."
"Oh my." the man laughs handing him a towel. "Would this be a date?"
He smiles at you knowingly, "Absolutely."

Memphis Tennessee, 1956
There was a certain enchantment in the 61-degree Tennessee carnival air, a delightful blend of aromas swirling together sweet funnel cake dusted with powdered sugar, vibrant cotton candy melting on your tongue, and the laughter from the nearby petting zoo, where eager children cooed at fluffy animals. A crispness in the breeze hinted that spring was just around the corner, a promise of new beginnings and adventures waiting to unfold.
"I think that may have been my best performance yet," Denise exclaimed, her voice bright as she strolled past the kaleidoscope of sights and sounds that filled the carnival. "And with the way your fame is on the rise, you’ll be feeling the same way soon enough. Right, Cecelia... Cecelia..." Glancing to her side, she noticed the young woman she had been addressing was already nowhere in sight.
"Jesus Christ, this child..." Denise muttered under her breath, frustration creeping into her tone.
"Need some help finding her?" Rosa chimed in, her eyes scanning the bustling crowd.
"No... I do not." Denise huffed, her tone a mix of exasperation and determination.
"Don't be cruel to a heart that's true," were the words that echoed from the stage, the melody wrapping around the dimly lit room like a warm embrace. Cecelia stood transfixed, her heart racing as the familiar voice soared through the air. She had listened to this song countless times, had been there in the studio when it was recorded, and had played every album until the grooves were worn smooth.
The stage lights illuminated the young man, revealing his piercing blue eyes that seemed to merge with the crowd's energy, meeting her own deep brown gaze. In that fleeting moment, amidst the flickering lights and pulse of the music, she felt an exhilarating rush an undeniable realization that she was truly in love for the first time in her 21 years on this Earth. But the thrill of this sensation was tangled with anxiety; keeping it hidden from her mother and the judgemental stares of the world was a delicate balancing act.
"Cecelia! There you are," her mother, Denise, muttered disapprovingly, drawing her daughter’s attention away from the stage. Cecelia's focus shifted reluctantly, feeling a pang of disappointment as the enchanting performance faded into the background. Denise’s expression was one of disgust, as she glared at the stage, unwilling to acknowledge the passion of the performance a stark contrast to the polished image of propriety she expected from her daughter. If only Denise knew the secrets Cecelia guarded fiercely, the wild escapades that unfolded while her mother was off touring she would be mortified. Each untold story sat heavy in Cecelia's chest, a testament to the freedom she craved.
"What is he doing with hips..."
"Mother, haven't you heard it's called dancing." Cecelia's glance never left his. And his glance never left hers. Cecelia was watching as he caught the flying undergarments thrown his way. She couldn't help but laugh, and it seemed neither could he. Denise had to admit he was cute, with his perfect smile and hair. But something told her she would have to do something if he even thought to talk to her daughter. Denise knew his type, the shy playboy, and she wouldn't have someone like him ruin her daughter's blazing trail.
"Up next in 16 minutes on this stage is Cecelia Valmos and The Garnets!"
The crowd of teenagers began to cheer even louder as the growing pain of nerves began to kick in for her.
"Oh shit..." she mumbled as her mother nudged her, running to the dressing room backstage. She took a deep breath as she gathered herself together.
"You were almost late," Daphane smirked, brushing her hair as she straightened her dress.
"What were you doing out there," Rosa asked, watching as Scotty winked at her,
"Oh, I know!" Daphane raised her hand,
"Stairing at your boyfriend." Carlotta teased as Cecelia rolled her eyes,
"Oh, whatever."
"So whatcha gonna sing?"
"Midge, what the hell are you doing back here!" Cecelia clutched her heart.
"I'm your mother's assistant, who's been practically your everything while she's been away."
"Right, uh, probably something from our Jazz album?" Cecelia shrugged as she smiled,
"This is going to be career suicide, Cece..."
"Not if you follow my lead, Rosa." Cecelia handed her coat to Midge as a slight chill went down her spine from nerves.
"Your mothers gonna be pissed about that dress," Midge smirked,
"Midge, she ain't the boss of me!"
"She's our manager..." Daphane smirked
"Right."
Midge glanced at the girls as she then handed Cecelia her Gretsch guitar.
"Good luck, kids."
"Don't need it." they winked,
"What're you gals gonna play for us tonight?" The host said,
"Our new single." She scanned the crowd for the one person she hoped hadn't left yet.
"What would that be..." The host asked, scanning all three girls. It was the first time he'd ever seen such a sight. Girls dressed a bit risque in wiggle dresses.
"Oh God, she's embarrassing the label already." Denise sighed. Midge and Cherly, standing next to her, cheering them on.
"Hmm... Oh, uh, Is you or is you ain't my baby,"  she said. The band began to play the intro. It was a bit slow and agonizing like she was performing one of her mother's hit jazz songs, which she was. Well, a cover more so.
Cecelia could see the crowd in front of her losing interest, and it didn't help her anymore that she was a young woman of color in Tennessee, but it wouldn't stop her.
"Mind if we swing it," she whispered to the band. "Guess they mind..." Rosa groaned,
"Follow my lead." Cecelia mouthed, to Rosa,Daphane, and Carlotta.Taking the pick to her guitar, she unleashed a riff that pierced through the air, commanding the attention of the crowd. Each note shimmered, reverberating with an energy that was almost electric, and his gaze was locked onto her, spellbound. She wove the melody into something fresh and exhilarating, her fingers dancing over the strings with a practiced ease. With a deep breath, she began to sing, her voice rich and captivating.
"Is you is or is you ain't my baby?" The words flowed from her lips like honey, filled with warmth and emotion, while her bright blue eyes captivated everyone, drawing them into an intimate moment. "The way you're acting lately makes me doubt..." She flashed a cheeky grin, a spark of rebellion in her demeanor. While her mother disapproved of her rock 'n' roll blues infusion, she couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride for her daughter, whose once-awkwardness had transformed into an effortless confidence.
"Youse is still my baby, baby. Seems my flame in your heart's done gone out..." The lyrics hung in the air, tinged with a bittersweet yearning that made those listening hold their breath. In that moment, Elvis found himself enraptured, longing to be woven into the very strings that she manipulated so skillfully. Could this be the feeling she experienced when she watched him perform all those nights ago at The Hayride?
“Elvis, you coming?” a voice cut through his reverie, pulling him back to reality.
“Yeah... Yeah…” he murmured distractedly, nodding at his friends while his eyes remained glued on her. He had collected her records and tried to decipher her intricate riffs and guitar licks while they were on tour together, but seeing her again after her own journey felt surreal. The intensity of his feelings for the woman he loved and missed was overwhelming, igniting a passion within him that he had scarcely been able to comprehend before.
Cecelia watched as he walked off into the distance, his silhouette gradually fading against the dusky horizon. There was something about the way he moved, a hint of uncertainty that made it seem like he was adrift, as if a crucial piece of him was missing.
"Don't wait up, Midge," he called back, his voice barely carrying over the throngs of excited fans clamoring for autographs and fleeting moments with their idol.
"Cece…" a gentle reminder from her ever-caring friend.
"I'll be right back," she assured, casting a glance over her shoulder as she made her way toward the carousel, its colorful horses spinning in a dizzying blur. She didn’t miss the hoards of adoring fans rushing to her for pictures and praises, but her focus remained locked on a figure leaning against the wall — a pair of white pants fitted perfectly over strong legs, reminiscent of their time together back in Florida.
"You okay?" Cecelia startled him as she approached, noticing his pensive expression as he stared off into the distance.
"Yeah, just uh thinkin’," he replied, his drawl deep and rich, a soothing balm that could make even the most stoic hearts flutter. Oh, how she missed hearing it, the way it danced through her ears like sweet music.
"Well, you were incredible out there, Pres, but let’s be honest you're always amazing up there," she said, putting a playful emphasis on the last words.
A slight red hue crept into his cheeks, enhancing his boyish charm. "Nah, that goes to you," he replied, wrapping his strong arms around her waist, pulling her close.
"I try to," she giggled, relishing the warmth of his embrace. But then, with a teasing sparkle in her eyes, she added, "But, Elvis, my dear…"
"Hmm…" he tilted his head, intrigued.
"Tell me more," she urged, playful laughter bubbling between them as they shared a moment steeped in secercey . The thrill of being near him sent butterflies fluttering in her stomach, igniting long-dormant feelings.
"God, I missed your laugh," Elvis said suddenly, leaning down to steal a quick kiss from her lips, leaving her heart racing once more.
"Say, you maybe wanna get out of here an—" Cecelia began, stepping closer, only to be interrupted by a voice that cut through the warmth of their moment.
"Elvis, my boy…"
"Cecelia, there you are," the familiar voice chimed, pulling both of their attention away.
"That's my manager," Cecelia said, a hint of annoyance creeping into her tone as they both turned to face the interruption.
"Call me when you get home to Nashville?" he asked, hope flickering in his eyes.
"If that's alright with you," she replied, her smile returning and masking the slight pang of disappointment.
With lingering glances back at one another, the pair broke away, each walking toward their respective managers, hearts still tethered in the silent promise of more time together.
July, 1956 Beale Street
"Cece, you truly warmed up the room tonight," noted BB King, admiring the way her hair was styled in a delightful bun of pin curls, with a playful swoop draping elegantly across her forehead.
"Of course I am. After all, I'm preparing to release another album," Cecelia replied, her voice light and breezy, as she engaged with a few of the patrons gathered nearby.
"You might as well get ready; besides, didn’t your mama just open a new recording studio down here?" one of them chimed in, curiosity dancing in their eyes.
"She did indeed. Why, I can’t say, but we’ve been getting calls from some random person five times a day," she chuckled, a melodic laugh escaping her lips.
"Sounds like a lunatic," BB smirked, his gaze lingering on her with appreciation.
"Hey, you know who your hairstyle reminds me of..." he began, a teasing glint sparking in his eyes.
"Don’t you dare say it..." she warned, her tone playful yet serious.
"My good friend Elvis. Are you trying to channel him or something?" he nudged her shoulder gently.
"No," she replied, her expression deadpan, though a hint of uncertainty flickered in her eyes. Maybe it was a bit of a lie, but she was exhausted by the press constantly dubbing her as "Well... if it ain't my competition, Lady Elvis." BB’s charming smile only deepened her internal conflict, reminding her of feelings she struggled to conceal, despite their mutual attempts to hide them.
"Well, if it isn't Mr. Suit Tails, serenading hound dogs," she smirked, a spark of mischief illuminating her face.
"That's a bit harsh, don’t you think, Cece?" BB mumbled, noticing the hurt glimmering in Elvis's eyes.
"And I thought we were friends, babydoll," Elvis replied with a wink, attempting to mask his disappointment under a layer of charm as Cecelia laughed, her joy infectious.
"Oh, sugarpie, don’t cry," she teased, standing up gracefully and making her way toward the stage, her movements effortless and fluid. Elvis couldn’t deny the sting from her joke it cut deeper coming from her. But a part of him didn’t mind. She was undeniably cute, and he reveled in their playful banter. Watching her perform felt like a balm to his soul; her voice was the sweetest medicine, and the way she glanced at him struck at his very core. When their eyes met, she quickly looked away, a deep blush painting her cheeks.
"You like her, don’t you..." an onlooker remarked, an eyebrow raised in amusement.
"I—I well…" Elvis stammered, caught off guard.
"Well, don’t," the onlooker retorted, crossing his arms with a knowing smile.
"And why not?" Elvis shot back, eyebrow raised as he glanced at the man beside him.
"I’m her boyfriend," he announced proudly, his pompadour towering high above his brow. Elvis instinctively felt deflated, the weight of the realization hitting him hard, especially considering his place in Cecelia’s life.
"Just kidding, they call me Little Richard, baby, and you’ve got it bad," the man winked with playful exuberance as Elvis rolled his eyes, trying to shake off the burning feeling of jealousy.
"I wouldn’t say I do," he protested, though his gaze drifted back to Cecelia, unable to resist.
"You're looking at her the way all those girls look at you," the man shot back, smirking knowingly.
"And how do they look at me?" Elvis inquired, a flicker of curiosity shining through his bravado.
"Like they wanna fu-"
"You two talkin about fans?"
"Cece, you were uh- uh amazing." Elvis stuttered. She realized he did that every time she talked to him. Or when he was flustered by her.
"Thanks, say can we talk," she asked. Both Richard and Elvis stood up,
"Alone..." she mumbled. Elvis had a smug look on his face, but on the inside, he was panicking. Did he do something wrong? or say something odd,
"Yeah, sure thing, mama."
"Yeah, sure thing, mama." That's the best you could think to say.  Elvis lost himself in thought, a swirl of emotions flooding his mind until he felt a gentle touch on his hand. The sensation was electrifying, snapping him back to reality as if he had been under a spell. Cecelia, with her captivating presence, pulled him through the pulsating crowd of the club, her energy propelling them toward the balcony. As they stepped outside, the moonlight washed over her, illuminating her beautiful brown skin and casting an ethereal glow that took his breath away.
A sudden chill sliced through the night air, causing Cecelia to shiver slightly. Elvis quickly noticed and without hesitating, he slipped off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders, feeling a sense of warmth spread through him as he wrapped his arms around her.
“What did you want to talk to me about, baby?” he asked, his voice a mix of curiosity and concern.
She poked her head through the window momentarily, her gaze scanning the darkened street. “I’m sorry about that Hound Dog joke,” she said, a playful glint in her eyes. The brief glimpse of the press lurking nearby brought back a wave of tension.
“Cece, it didn't sting too badly,” he shrugged dismissively, “Not like being on that damn show did,” he muttered, the bitterness creeping into his tone.
“I saw the whole thing, El. We all did,” she sighed, her expression softening as she tried to bridge the gap of frustration between them.
“The Colonel claims it was a smart move,” he replied, attempting to defend the decision.
“For who?” Cecelia framed her question, her eyes locking onto his with a penetrating intensity.
“For me. I mean, they want clean fun, and I can— I can…” Elvis faltered, the weight of the industry’s expectations hanging heavily in the air.
“Lie to yourself and be somebody you're not,” she laughed softly, but there was an edge to it, a challenge.
“Look, if the colo—”
“Elvis Aaron Presley, you serenaded a dog on live television in a tux. That’s not the Elvis I know or admire,” she responded, her voice firm yet tender, as if she were peering straight into his soul. “The Elvis I love is the one I saw at the Hayride, with those wiggly hips.” A smile broke across her face, but it quickly faded as they suddenly heard footsteps approaching.
“Hurry, they’re over here…” she urged, urgency creeping into her tone.
“El... how much do you trust me?” she asked, her expression serious as the gravity of the moment settled between them.
“As much as Captain Marvel Jr. believes in finding the Rock of Eternity,” he replied, his voice steady, though a hint of apprehension lingered beneath the bravado.
“That’s a lot of trust,” she smirked, taking his hand with a confidence that made his heart race. She led him to the side of the building where a ladder descended into darkness. With practiced ease, she began to climb, but suddenly she stopped, a look of frustration crossing her face as she realized her babydoll-heeled shoe was stuck on a rung.
“Cecelia, hold on,” he called out as she tugged at her shoe, panic rising as the sound of footsteps grew louder and closer. She gave one final fierce pull, and then they both heard a sharp crack echo through the air…
SNAP!
Oh, how Midge and her mother were going to kill her. Nearly tumbling over, she had landed into Elvis, who was carrying her like Lois Lane. She wouldn't lie and say she didn't enjoy it.
"Don't worry, darlin, I gotcha." he looked down as their eyes met again. It was just like a river flowing to the sea. His heart was nearly pounding at how close they were again. He could smell Cecelia's rose perfume while taking in every detail of her face. Elvis was madly in love with her. And he was glad to say she was his.Carrying Cecelia through the bustling streets of downtown, Elvis felt the weight of curious gazes upon them, but he brushed them off with ease. He was no stranger to the lively atmosphere of Beale Street, a place that thrummed with music and history, and tonight it was the perfect backdrop for their blossoming romance. The air was thick with the sweet sounds of jazz, a fitting accompaniment to the tender moment unfolding between them.
"Would you care to dance?" Cecelia asked, her voice laced with excitement as she extended her hand toward him, a playful smile lighting up her face.
"On what dance floor?" he teased, gently placing her on the concrete beneath their feet. Taking her hand, an electric spark coursed through him, igniting a warmth that spread from his fingertips to the tips of his toes. They stood in the middle of Beale Street, the world around them momentarily fading as traffic slowed to a crawl, leaving just the two of them in a cocoon of shared anticipation.
“Anywhere's a dance floor if you're in the arms of the right one,” she replied, her tone earnest as he pulled her closer, spinning her lightly so their bodies pressed against each other, her other shoe slipping off onto the sidewalk.
"You really think so?" Hhe asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief as she gazed up at him. But then a thought had hit him as he looked down at her feet. "You're gonna dance barefoot in the street?" he chuckled, feeling heat rise in his cheeks.
"I don't see why not!" she replied, her laughter mingling with the night air, urging him to relax.
"Lord have mercy... I can't with you, Cece," he mumbled, his laughter bubbling up as he felt the intoxicating connection spark between them. Cecelia's gaze was unwavering, her trust so palpable as she held onto his tall frame, grounding them in the moment. As he spun her into his embrace, he heard the familiar strains of a melody wafting from a nearby band, resonating within him.
With her head nestled against his chest, he felt his heart race, the gentle rhythm of their swaying providing a rhythm of its own, one only they could hear. “Love me, tender. Love me sweet, never let me go,” he sang softly, his voice blending seamlessly with the music, enveloping Cecelia in a cocoon of warmth.
“You have made my life complete, and I love you so,” she sang along softly, the sincerity in her voice making the air between them vibrate with raw emotion. Cecelia felt every note resonate within her soul; she knew exactly how Elvis felt about her. Their secret relationship had been thrilling, alive with stolen moments, but in this instant, nothing else mattered. When he looked at her, she felt like the center of his universe.
“Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin', I love you, and I always will,” he crooned, his voice barely above a whisper. He dipped her ever so slightly, drawing their faces closer until their eyes were locked in a gaze that spoke volumes. Elvis’s eyes danced between her lips and her soulful gaze, filled with a yearning to hold her, to cherish her, and to make her understand just how deeply she was woven into the fabric of his dreams.
SPWOOSH!
It was as if buckets of water were splashed on them.
"No one said anything about a rainstorm."Elvis chuckled, picking her up as she laughed, her hair getting puffy from the water. Cecelia kissed Elvis as he kissed her back, sweetly and giggling,
"Oh, your mama's gonna be pissed."
"Honey, I know." Cecelia laughed harder. They both felt free and secure as if they were the only couple in the world, and it felt amazing to not have to worry or care about who saw them. That was until there were papers on every doorstep with them dancing in the street as the cover read.
Elvis Presley Dances With Negro Singer Cecelia Valmos.
Cecelia stood in her mother's opulent office, the heavy air filled with tension, while in another room, Elvis endured a scolding from the Colonel that felt more like a parental lecture than a professional critique.
"I can’t believe you would do this after everything I’ve sacrificed for you!" Denise exclaimed, rubbing her temples in mounting frustration, her voice a mix of disbelief and exasperation.
"It’s not that bad, Mother," Cecelia replied, her gaze fixed on the newspaper spread before her, a sly smile threatening to break her serious demeanor. She couldn’t wait to show Elvis that ridiculous picture they’d both find it amusing, and honestly, it was adorably funny.
"My boy, this could spell career suicide," Tom grumbled, his brow furrowed in genuine concern. Elvis chuckled softly, recalling the absurdity of that moment when he sang to a dog. If that wasn’t career-ending, he believed he was still standing strong in the spotlight.
"What are we going to say?" Denise shot a pointed look at Cecelia, her frustration simmering beneath the surface.
"How am I gonna cover this up, my boy?" Tom turned to Elvis, pleading in his tone for any shred of hope.
"Any way you do?" Elvis shrugged nonchalantly, a grin still on his lips. Tom looked almost devastated; he sat at his desk, staring at Elvis with the intensity of a worried father, "You’re already in trouble for dancing like a colored man… Now this!" He slammed the newspaper down onto the table, the sound echoing with finality.
"Lighten up, Colonel. It was just some harmless fun," Elvis replied, a warm smile creeping across his face as he reminisced about the joy he felt that night. In that moment, he was not the world-famous Elvis, but rather the carefree, small-town kid from Tupelo who was lucky enough to share life’s fleeting moments with the love of his life.
"We were just getting our kicks," Cecelia added, adjusting her pink sling-back heels with a touch of defiance.
"Some kicks!" Denise shouted back, her voice rising with urgency. "Cecelia Shanel Valmos! Just on the other side of us in Alabama, there’s a bus protest where our people are being beaten and slandered for our skin color."
"It’s not that serious," Cecelia rolled her eyes. "I mean, the bus protest is, but Pres and I were just…"
"Pres and you doing what? You could lose fans over this," her mother pressed, the worry evident in her voice.
"You could lose fans over this, Elvis," Tom interjected, his fist crashing against the table, the wood shuddering under the force of his frustration.
"Already lost 'em with that damn hound dog trick Colonel," he said, pushing his hair back.
"What's so special about him anyways..." Denise asked, sitting back in her chair.
"Mama..." Her mother glared at her when her Southern accent arrived, "Mother, he's kind and sweet. He's crossing barriers. Maybe I could, too." Cecelia said as she looked love sick, her mother slash manager hating every inch of it,
"The only barriers you could cross is in music."
"Maybe that's what I wanna do," she mumbled,
"And besides, why not Chuck Berry or Little Richard." her mother kept listing artists. Cecelia was picking up a pattern here, but she wouldn't call her mother out on it.
"Mama Little Richard ain't exactly uh... well..a lady's man." she hinted as her mother rolled her eyes, "And besides, El is good people. We're neck and neck on the charts." she smiled, "And we toured together."
"Yeah, neck and neck on the charts with a colored woman who pretends to be you," Tom mentioned as Elvis groaned,
"She ain't pretending to be me. If anything, she's better than me."
"How's that, my boy..."
"Well, she's got stage presence. It's like she commands the crowd, and they listen."
"They do the same to you." Tom rolled his eyes, looking at contracts.
"Yeah, but when she does it... it's I can't explain it..." he sighed. He was lovesick. And he had it so bad it was like a fevering cold.
"She's..."
"Brave, mother, I mean, he goes up there coat tails looks like a butler still manages to look handsome and, Mornin Midge."
"Morning, Cece, talking about Mr. Presley again."
"When is she not." Denise sighed, "Lately, he's all she's got on her tongue." Midge nearly choked at her boss's words,
"Well, uh, You've got some memos and calls, Mrs. Valmos," Midge said as she was walking towards her desk in the office,
"From who?" Denise questioned,
"Frank Sinatra, Ella, Sammy, Dean, Cab," Midge sipped her coffee, "And an Elvis A Presley." she smiled as Denise took the card that had Elvis's number on it,
"Oh no, this is for Ms. Valmos only." Midge took the card from her hand,
"For me..." Midge gave her a nod,
"Tell him I'll call him back."
"Tell him to stop calling the studio so damn much..." Denise rolled her eyes.
"I'll handle it..." Midge smirked,
Cecelia nervously dialed the number embossed on the card, her heart racing as she listened to the phone ring. A lump formed in her throat, tightening with each echoing chime. They spoke frequently, but this time felt different, the weight of anticipation hanging in the air.
“Hello, Elvis, darlin’!” a warm, Southern voice greeted her, full of familiarity yet strangely formal.
“Who is this?” Cecelia asked, caught off-guard by the unexpected conversation.
“This is Mrs. Gladys Presley, his mother,” the voice replied sharply, her eyes narrowing at her son, who was casually munching on a hastily prepared lunch in the background. Mrs. Presley covered the bottom half of the phone as she took a deep breath, a mixture of curiosity and protectiveness brimming within her.
“Elvis Aaron Presley... How many times have I told you to stop givin’ those wayward girls our family phone number?” she admonished, her voice laced with a mother's concern.
“Mama, I-I...” Elvis stammered, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
“There's one on the phone now, Boobie,” Mrs. Presley continued, ignoring her son's protest. “Says her name is Cecelia Valmos, which can’t be right, 'cause the only Valmos I know is that jazz singer, and—”
Before she could finish, Elvis snatched the phone from his mother, clearing his throat as he tried to regain his composure. “I-I, uh, Cece, hi! Hey...” he stumbled over his words as she burst into laughter, the sound brightening the heaviness in the room.
"Hey El, I was, uhm, returning your call. My manager, Uh, well, she hung up on you." Cecelia laughed as she leaned against the wall, trying to act cool as Midge walked by and rolled her eyes, laughing at her.
"Figures... Hey, look, you doing anything tomorrow night,"
"I can't. I'm flying to New York for a performance taping."
"O-oh, I see." he had a tone of despair.
"Why, what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"El...EP... Pres.. Sugar... Dumplin, Mr. Pretty Blue Eyes, tell me." she said as he blushed,
"Nothing Cece, uh, enjoy New York an bring me back one of them big hot dogs." he laughed.
"Thanks..." she sighed. Something had to be wrong, but what was it.
"You look sad, Boobie.." Gladys sighed,
"I'm fine, mama."
"Looks like it's about a girl..." Vernon smirked,
"It seems like it always is with you." Gladys shook her head,

Hey! I've seen a lot of great art surrounding your WOC oc Michi Todoroki (including the one where she gets seriously hurt and dies, ouch, my poor heart).
Do you have any fun facts or anything of Michi before and during the WGP, as well as her relationships with Shu, their parents, and the WGP racers?
Hey, hello omg! I'm glad you like her so much and her drawings. So, any fun facts about? Alright! (Sorry if some are weak or repetitive).
During her time racing street races, she met Kabuto and the rest, like Yokoza, etc., and managed to get along with all of them. Although at the beginning they went so far as to tell her that something as "sophisticated" as her shouldn't be there. But she managed to earn respect very quickly.
When she saw them at the welcome party, they talked for a while, and Kabuto told and bragged about anecdotes among many others that had happened after she stopped going to those competitions. Catching up.
Long before the WGP, Michi already knew Carla and Nigel, having met her after a race.
Before the WGP, Michi raced in her category alongside Shu, of course. And she had good stats in that regard, in addition to being an incredibly talented racer with extraordinary skills, standing out quite a bit among other racers and her brother. And she was invited early thanks to that, before Shu was invited. Shu ended up starring in the first and last races, leaving Michi to compete in Italy. She only appeared in the background in her pits in Japan and the UK most of the time, giving Shu instructions.
At the Tokyo party, before it started, Michi spent most of her time talking to fans and hanging around Shu, because she felt a bit silly just wandering around doing nothing.
Michi managed to make friends with the other racers by approaching them (except Carla), although she was a bit shy or unsure how to start a conversation since she had never been surrounded by racers as talented as them, much less at such a big event (but in the end, she worked up the courage to interact with them and make a good first impression).
Shortly after the WGP and the Radiator Springs race, she would have had to take a break from racing for a while to let her engine fully recover. But she managed to get better and continues to compete actively, including joining the Transcontinental Race of Champions.
Talking about family...
Her relationship with Shu was always good, but there were times when it became ambivalent (I think you could call it that) and then returned to normal. These changes came more from Michi than from Shu.
Something funny is that Michi and Shu's attitudes can alternate depending on the situation. Shu has Michi's comical/carefree attitude, and Michi has Shu's serious/calm attitude. Or they simply behave the same way without realizing it. Not to mention that they often say or do something similar/completely the same at the same time. Michi is always the first to notice.
Her relationship with her mother was almost always ambivalent or avoidant (except during her childhood). I'd say the mother-daughter relationship here is unstable, changing constantly. This started when Michi was around 17 or 18 y.o .
Her relationship with her father is the complete opposite of that with her mother. This relationship has always been quite pleasant and fun, almost comical. Her father supported her from the moment she started street racing and was the one who accompanied her most of the time, since he himself participated in that type of race at the time.
Now, with the racers!
Miguel Camino: A rather pleasant relationship, actually, good friends on and off the track. But there's always a challenge when they decide to have a good time and race.
Carla Veloso: As I said, Michi met her after a WEC race, forming a sort of friendship and friendly rivalry with the Brazilian. And after the TROC race led by Carla, the Carnival Cup. Michi usually visits Carla once or twice a year. Michi was definitely mesmerized by the colorful and beautiful things of Brazil. That's why those little visits.
Francesco Bernoulli: There's not much to say, there isn't much between the two, but Michi may find Francesco's ego somewhat... Frustrating?? But she doesn't dislike him!; they treat each other neutrally.
Max Schnell: To be honest, I like the idea that there was always a kind of "love tension" between Max and Michi while they were getting to know each other, plus a few discreet glances off and on the track. It wouldn't have been that noticeable, at least to others. And yes, now I've put these two together. A nice, adorable thingy.
Nigel Gearsley: Quite nice. They're quite talkative with each other when it comes to good gossip. Yes, gossip friends definitely.
Jeff Gorvette: They're not that talkative with each other. But whenever they are, they usually share a few anecdotes about their races and such. With respect to Jeff.
Lewis Hamilton: They'd get along very well! They wouldn't be very close. Friends, yeah, but there wouldn't be much communication or interaction between the two of them.
Raoul CaRoule: And just like with Carla, a rivalry with Raoul has developed in the WGP. This was most noticeable at the Radiator Springs race. Although it's somewhat friendly, Raoul tends to be quite intense with Michi. But other than that, they both share that adrenaline rush and excitement when it comes to dirt roads. Dirt friends lol.
Rip Clutchgoneski: Michi is quite nice to Rip, and he is to her. She tries to make him feel comfortable in the environment of being with so many famous racers and the fact that he holds the "rookie" title. She gives him a few pieces of advice that he can apply on the track.
Lightning McQueen: Michi and McQueen get along well, having friendly exchanges and Michi has always shown respect towards McQueen, recognizing how good and skilled he is.

In the summer of 2015, back when he was still talking to traitorous reporters like me, I spent extended stretches with Donald Trump. He was in the early phase of his first campaign for president, though he had quickly made himself the inescapable figure of that race—as he would in pretty much every Republican contest since. We would hop around his various clubs, buildings, holding rooms, limos, planes, golf carts, and mob scenes, Trump disgorging his usual bluster, slander, flattery, and obvious lies. The diatribes were exhausting and disjointed. But I was struck by one theme that Trump kept pounding on over and over: that he was used to dealing with “brutal, vicious killers”—by which he meant his fellow ruthless operators in showbiz, real estate, casinos, and other big-boy industries. In contrast, he told me, politicians are saps and weaklings. “I will roll over them,” he boasted, referring to the flaccid field of Republican challengers he was about to debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library that September. They were “puppets,” “not strong people.” He welcomed their contempt, he told me, because that would make his turning them into supplicants all the more humiliating. “They might speak badly about me now, but they won’t later,” Trump said. They like to say they are “public servants,” he added, his voice dripping with derision at the word servant. But they would eventually submit to him and fear him. They would “evolve,” as they say in politics. “It will be very easy; I can make them evolve,” Trump told me. “They will evolve.” Like most people who’d been around politics for a while, I was dubious. And wrong. They evolved. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Trump told me the following spring, as he was completing his romp to the 2016 nomination. We were talking on the phone, and Trump had just wrapped up a rally in Anaheim, California. Former Texas Governor Rick Perry had recently endorsed him, despite dismissing Trump earlier as a “cancer on conservatism” and “a barking carnival act.” “He made a statement saying something like I’m ‘the smartest guy ever to run for office,’ ” Trump told me (Perry didn’t say exactly that, but close). “How do you get from ‘cancer on the party’ to that? I get it, I get it; it’s how politicians are. But I couldn’t do that.” Trump accepted Perry’s support, and then promptly taunted him. “He was going [around] saying the worst things about me!” Trump said at the Anaheim rally. “I have never seen people able to pivot like politicians.” “It’s happening with all of them,” Trump said. “Lindsey Graham just called and was very nice … even though he used to say the worst things.” (Graham had called Trump, among other not-nice things, “a race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot” and “a kook.”) Soon enough, the last holdouts would come around too. “It’s just so easy, how they do that,” Trump said. As went individual Republican politicians, so went the party. Reince Priebus, the chair of the Republican National Committee in 2016, would become frustrated with Trump over his obvious scorn for his organization. Still, Priebus would gamely try to assure me that the GOP was shaped not by one man but rather by a set of traditions, principles, and conservative ideals. “The party defines the party,” Priebus kept telling me. After Trump won the nomination in 2016, “The party defines the party” became a familiar feckless refrain among the GOP’s putative leaders. House Speaker Paul Ryan vowed to me that he would “protect conservatism from being disfigured.” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told the radio host Hugh Hewitt that “Trump is not going to change the institution,” referring to the GOP. “He’s not going to change the basic philosophy of the party.” In retrospect, this was hilarious.

Alright here's the results for the 2024 Precure Hopes and Predictions!
Q1: Hopes for the theme of the season?
Technology/games. Or more likely: science?
Military, video games
Technology / Gaming
Computers and/or bugs
Video games/Tech
the arts (both performing and visual)
Seriously hoping for creating things as a theme
Art theme! Or something winter-related (a precure team located in Hokkaido? That would be so cool!)
I would like a season based on a combination of gemstones and popular hobbies like arts, sports, and science. It can have a moral theme of "finding your inner sparkle, your one true talent."
I've always thought that season-based characters (spring, summer, etc.) were really fun, with lots of possibilities as far as power and design go! But it would be harder to have a sixth ranger, and we've just had a 4+1 season, so I'm not too hopeful… I guess I'd like a story around art (like, each of the girl represent a certain form of creativity?) We've had lots of cures who were artist of some kind, but their interests are rarely reflected by their cure powers!
someday i want a 4 seasons precure
Flowers
I hope for flowers theme or elementals but i think it will be idols or fashion
Insects would be fun! (ladybug lead, butterfly and honeybee Cures. Moth midseason!)
Carnival.
Cars and racing, fairy tales (specifically Peter Pan), music and dancing
We never had a proper fairy/fairy tale season, so that!
Fairy
unlikely but aliens would be fun
cats/felines + lolita fashion + fantasy
Pirates
Mythology
Gemstones
Sports
Q2: Predictions for Cure theme colours?
Standard pink/yellow/blue to follow the pattern Hugtto set
please please please don’t go back to pink/blue/yellow
Ideal - Pink/Yellow/Green/Blue or White; Realistic - Pink/Blue/Yellow/Purple
Pink, blue, yellow, purple
Pink, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Red
I want a blue and a pink at first, then green and yellow (maybe also purple) but I am sure it will be pink/blue/yellow again
Pink, Blue, Yellow, Purple maybe, No green lol
Pink, blue, yellow, purple, maybe green?
I'm kind of curious, since Toei got pretty original with the colour scheme this year… My guess is, either they'll go for something super conventional like Healin Good or Delipre, or they're going to keep their "unique color scheme" streak.
Similar to ALaMode it can be the standard trio (PBY), followed by a red and purple duo, and later joins a vibrant green.
pink, blue/teal, purple, black/white/grey would be super cool!
Pink, Orange, Green, Yellow, Blue, Purple
Pink - Blue - Red - White (midseason)
Pink, Red, Purple
Pink, blue, green
Pink, red, white, and purple
White, orange, indigo, green, red, teal
dark pink/red, blue, and gold (later cures would be green, purple, and black/white/grey)
For gaming: the usual letter button colors (red green yellow blue) For science: uhh, def needs a Cure Combust thats red. I imagine her having a combo attack with a blue cure that makes blue fire.
Pink leader (current season was too revolutionary, time for Toei to get back to a safer structure), a yellow/orange, a blue one, a mixed weird color joining mid-season and hopefully a green cure
for aliens green orange pink
Green pleasssse (probably pink for the main Cure)
We've gotta get at least one green cure right?
Two colours for each Cure.
Q3: How many Cures do you expect there to be at the start?
Tumblr media
Q4: Any other thoughts?
Hopefully there'll be more than one villain active at the same time, Hirogaru Sky was honestly kind of disappointing in that regard (it does not help that the first villain's debut came with a fart joke).
I'm fine with another pink, yellow and blue Cures, but please, at least try to make them different by using different shades of said colors. There are so many, don't settle for the most basic color palette.
If it doesn't happen, I could always make fancures instead.
I really want a cure who becomes an engineer of some kind in the epilogue. Specifically a girl becoming an engineer
I am sure it will not be what I want XD but precure prove me wrong this year!
I would love unique flower motifs for each cure. All of the possibilities!
Mythology would also be a fun theme, but the Tropical team had a phoenix and so did Cure Wing, so they would probably try to space that out.
The cures' designs would be based on wild cats and domestic cat breeds: maine coon, norwegian forest cats (e.g cure forrêt), serval, jaguar. There would be a cat goddess (who could possibly also be a precure)!
Male Cure, Twins as cures, a disabled cure, a chubby cure, and a cure of color (like Elena)
I think it'd be neat to have the main trio be required to transform together as a call-back to Black/White, Bloom/Egret, Melody/Rhythm, Miracle/Magical, and Macherie/Amour, plus to keep celebrating 20 years of Precure
they will go back to pink/blue/yellow
i want scifiesque magical girls i feel like theres been lots of fairytale themeing recently and i want something very different also the idea of the midseason cure being the pink one amuses me greatly
I want more boy cures
A male lead, preferably voiced by Yuki Kaji
Please, no babies, not another one…
Random list of elements that (I think) haven't been done that much in a precure season: 1) Have cures be siblings/give a significant role to a cure's sibling. 2) Have characters actually be in a romance! I know precure has a young demographic, so romance isn't exactly important, but it's a bit tiresome how many precure romances tend to be unresolved crushes that are dragged throughout the season! I don't care if it's girl/girl, girl/boy or boy/boy, it would just be nice to see characters confess to each other and have their relationship build from there throughout the story. 3) I know there have been debates on relationships between the cures and the villains, how redeemable the villains are, how much the cures should be concerned about them, etc., but I'd like Toei to play on that dynamic more. Maybe a villain questioning their allegiance, or even turning out to be a mole for the good guys! Or on the opposite side, a cure joining the bad guys willingly, whether misguidedly or to become a mole themselves! 4) Fun stuff with the mascots! The mascots are a family! A mascot is a family member of a cure (don't ask me how that works!) Secretely-a-villain mascot! Mascot who is reluctant in their role and a bit cranky! 5) Families and non-magical friends being a relevant part of the cures' life. To be fair, it has been done several times, but it's always nice to see. 6) Boarding school!
Thanks to everyone who took part, reading these was super fun. Let's see if anyone got it right! (though you only get half of a point if the pink-blue-yellow prediction turns out right lol)

As a result, she’s considered the “Moral Compass” by outsiders- This couldn’t be more wrong but she goes with it. When she was in middle school she got a bit rebellious and her and Rabia entered a bit of an alt-punk phase. This was when Firebird blew into town. At first everyone was hesitant about the new girl but May was assigned to show her around the school and pretty soon they hit it off. May, Rabia, and Firebird soon became close friends and nicknames popped up for them. They got in trouble, and Firebird would go missing for weeks at a time, only to come back with wild stories that seemed to change every time she told them. May was infatuated with the novelty of it all but was also hitting a point where she wanted more pocket money. So, she picked up some babysitting jobs. The other two started helping out, and pretty soon “Firebird’s Crew” were some of the most reliable babysitters in town, helped by the fact that Firebird’s Foster mother, the elderly Miss Trudy, was completely okay with running a daycare out of her home. Things scaled and the business was thriving and well established by the time it was time for May to go to college, which she did part-time to get her business management degree. A good portion of what was supposed to be her college fund went into the business and earned itself back before she could get in trouble for doing something so foolish.  May also had a few partners before the Crew realized their relationship wasn’t exactly platonic.

i love d&d/ttrpgs in general
im in a campaign that my friend is running and we're in a fancy city celebrating the Spring Festival. there's carnival/festival things to do, and we also get to also go to a fancy ball/auction
our characters are just a bunch of guys. just a buncha dudes
we get drunk on ale, enter a pie eating contest, enter a magic talent show, race some dragons (bearded dragons with fake wings on a table track), and then finished it off by getting matching magical tattoos
we decided to commemorate our boyz nite by getting the same design: a piece of beef jerky with a banner that says Jerky Boys (the jerky thing is a story for another time) and then proceeded to enter a fighting tournament and beat the shit out of each other all in good fun
so we got to rock up to a fancy ball hungover, swollen and bruised to shit, with some sick new ink

The Geography of Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte is located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, so you’ll find plenty of rolling hills and wide-open spaces around the city. It’s about halfway between the mountains to the west and the coast to the east, which gives you the best of both worlds. The climate is relatively mild, with hot summers and mild winters, making it an easy place to live year-round. If you like spending time outdoors, you’ll enjoy the parks, trails, and lakes that surround the city. Plus, you’re close enough to explore the mountains or hit the beach whenever the mood strikes. The geography really adds to the charm of living here.
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, NC
Tucked in the heart of uptown, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is a must-see for art lovers. The building itself is a work of art designed by the famous architect Mario Botta. Inside, you’ll find a carefully curated collection of mid-20th-century modern pieces, including works by Picasso, Warhol, and Miró. It’s a smaller museum, but that’s part of the charm—you can take your time and really appreciate each piece without feeling overwhelmed. The atmosphere is quiet and inviting, making it a great place to escape the hustle of the city for a bit. Whether you’re an art expert or just looking for something different to do, Bechtler offers a unique and inspiring experience.
The Charlotte Fair 2025: 11 Days Of Music, Live Entertainment, And Family Fun Awaits
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend a spring day, the Charlotte Fair sounds like a great option. With carnival rides, live entertainment, and plenty of food, there’s something for everyone. It’s nice to see a mix of family-friendly activities and deals like College Night and Teacher Appreciation Day, making it accessible to more people. Plus, hosting it at Charlotte Motor Speedway adds a unique touch. The variety of entertainment, from pig races to circus acts, keeps things interesting, whether you’re going with kids or just looking to relive some childhood fair memories. Ticket bundles are a smart move, too, especially for families wanting to save a little money. If you enjoy classic fair fun with a little extra excitement, this looks like a solid event to check out.
