9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?
19. What is their favorite number?
And if you feel like it (because that might become a long answer):
B) What inspired you to create them?
9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?
Diala: Very rarely swears, maybe some curses under her breath but that's it
Nicole: Swears often but mostly in Portuguese
Ruby: Doesn't swear often, chooses her moments carefully so they have the most impact
Brook: Swears quite often but mostly in private, doesn't swear often in earshot of others
Zeke: Swears incidentally
Ollie: Doesn't know any curse words yet but she will use them as often as possible once she learns
Terrance: Almost never swears
Daisy B: Doesn't usually write down swear words, but will flip the bird at opportune moments
Dimmi & Dammi: Learned curse words from Daisy B and are using them to their fullest extent
Helena: Swearing is basically just not in her vocabulary, and she will warn the sea witch about language if SW drops any curses
19. What is their favorite number?
Diala: 3
Nicole: 5
Ruby: 12
Brook: 9
Zeke: 9
Ollie: 7
Terrance: 8
Daisy B: 2
Dimmi: 4
Dammi: 36
Helena: 8
B. What inspired you to create them?
Diala: She was the first character I made when I decided I wanted to make my own story with my own characters, and I'd wanted to name a character Diala for years :)
Nicole: She was originally created to be a love interest for Diala, and the only thing I had in mind at the time was that I wanted her name to start with N. She's really blossomed into her own character since then!
Ruby: I made Ruby way back when I was like nine years old, and decided to bring her back for the story with Diala I mentioned. I kept her name but revamped her character and design, and here we are.
Brook: Brook was originally made to be a kind of rival but eventual friend to Diala, which would mainly be because of their height and antagonistic attitude. I decided eventually that it made more sense for Diala to be the instigator, and the rivalry thing ended up being more one-sided. I also decided that Brook would be a childhood friend of Ruby's instead of Diala's, wanting to focus more on Diala and Nicole.
Zeke & Ollie: Long story short, based on imaginary friends my sibling and I made things up about when we were little. The names stayed the same, even :)
Terrance: Created to be a detective for a mystery story I'm working on! The name came to me out of the blue.
Daisy B: I think this is the first time I'm formally announcing this... she was created based almost entirely on the song "Daisy Bell." Her silence, outfit/hair, archery skill, eyes, and favored mode of transportation all reflect this.
Dimmi & Dammi: These two were inspired by Maru and Moro from Holic! They're less creepy than I initially envisioned, but still have uncanny non-human elements about them.
Helena: Helena was made for a creative writing class short story, and I'm thinking about reworking the story for another time :)

FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER
this plight is the simplest of them all: you did not ask for this. you were never given a choice. no part of yourself feels human, just a collection of traits you've picked up from mirroring anyone you could, even the people you meet through a television screen. it's alienating to live that way- yet someone has called you the alienating one. maybe too many people to count. maybe they treated you so uncomfortably inhuman that it's all you can understand now, or you've dug yourself into such a deep hole in an attempt to keep safe that you can't remember a person living in the home of your body at all. being alive is confusing and painful and lonely and loud but living is all there is to being human- you're already there. just take air into your lungs and breathe. close your eyes and picture a beautiful sky. you made that. you painted that yourself.
WINTER & DEATH
you’re known for your self-discipline and rigidity. although you may be perceived as cold and intimidating by those who don’t directly worship you, you’re actually quite fair and polite. your followers pray to you for a safe winter and peaceful death.
THE FINAL GIRL
the final girl comes out the other end of trauma alive- or, they were supposed to. honestly, you're not so sure you're really alive anymore. you saw the same hurt take those you were closest to while everyone paraded your bruises as bravery, as strength, as if you're the hero. and it hurts. you're tired and you don't want to have to be brave anymore. whatever you went through, it changed so much of who you were that you're still getting used to the person you see in the mirror. you didn't have a say in any of it, but you're here now, and that's gotta count for something. you'll make it count for something. but first, you need to let yourself find rest.
AGRICULTURE & THE HOME
generous and nurturing, you represent and protect the home and family. those who pray to you are often blessed with calm and happy lives and a bountiful harvest. celebrations and festivals are held every fall in your honor and a candle burns for you through the winter, hoping no one goes hungry during the harsher months.
